In this paper, a novel robust sliding mode learning control scheme is developed for a class of non‐minimum phase nonlinear systems with uncertain dynamics. It is shown that the proposed sliding mode learning controller, designed based on the most recent information of the stability status of the closed‐loop system, is capable of adjusting the control signal to drive the sliding variable to reach the sliding surface in finite time and remain on it thereafter. The closed‐loop dynamics including both observable and non‐observable ones are then guaranteed to asymptotically converge to zero in the sliding mode. The developed learning control method possesses many appealing features including chattering‐free characteristic, strong robustness with respect to uncertainties. More importantly, the prior information of the bounds of uncertainties is no longer required in designing the controller. Numerical examples are presented in comparison with the conventional sliding mode control and backstepping control approaches to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control methodology. This paper addresses the problem of designing robust tracking control for a class of uncertain wheeled mobile robots actuated by brushed direct current motors. This class of electrically‐driven mechanical systems consists of the robot kinematics, the robot dynamics, and the wheel actuator dynamics. Via the backstepping technique, an intelligent robust tracking control scheme that integrates a kinematic controller and an adaptive neural network‐based (or fuzzy‐based) controller is developed such that all of the states and signals of the closed‐loop system are bounded and the tracking error can be made as small as possible. Two adaptive approximation systems are constructed to learn the behaviors of unknown mechanical and electrical dynamics. The effects of both the approximation errors and the unmodeled time‐varying perturbations in the input and virtual‐input weighting matrices are counteracted by suitably tuning the control gains. Consequently, the robust control scheme developed here can be employed to handle a broader class of electrically‐driven wheeled mobile robots in the presence of high‐degree time‐varying uncertainties. Finally, a simulation example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the developed control scheme.  相似文献

In this study, a dynamical adaptive integral backstepping variable structure control (DAIBVSC) system based on the Lyapunov stability theorem is proposed for the trajectory tracking control of a nonlinear uncertain mechatronic system with disturbances. In this control scheme, no prior knowledge is required on the uncertain parameters and disturbances because it is estimated by two types of dynamical adaptive laws. These adaptive laws are integrated into the dynamical adaptive integral backstepping control and variable structure control (VSC) parts of the DAIBVSC. The dynamical adaptive law in the dynamical adaptive integral backstepping control part updates parametric uncertainties, while the other in the VSC part adapts upper bounds of non‐parametric uncertainties and disturbances. In order to achieve a more robust output tracking and better parameter adaptation, the control system is extended by one integrator and sliding surface is augmented by an integral action. Experimental evaluation of the DAIBVSC is conducted with respect to performance and robustness to parametric uncertainties. Experimental results of the DAIBVSC are compared with those of a traditional VSC. The proposed DAIBVSC exhibits satisfactory output tracking performance, good estimation of the uncertain parameters and can reject disturbances with a chattering free control law. In this paper, a robust tracking controller is proposed for the trajectory tracking problem of a dual‐arm wheeled mobile manipulator subject to some modeling uncertainties and external disturbances. Based on backstepping techniques, the design procedure is divided into two levels. In the kinematic level, the auxiliary velocity commands for each subsystem are first presented. A sliding‐mode equivalent controller, composed of neural network control, robust scheme and proportional control, is constructed in the dynamic level to deal with the dynamic effect. To deal with inadequate modeling and parameter uncertainties, the neural network controller is used to mimic the sliding‐mode equivalent control law; the robust controller is designed to compensate for the approximation error and to incorporate the system dynamics into the sliding manifold. The proportional controller is added to improve the system's transient performance, which may be degraded by the neural network's random initialization. All the parameter adjustment rules for the proposed controller are derived from the Lyapunov stability theory and e‐modification such that uniform ultimate boundedness (UUB) can be assured. A comparative simulation study with different controllers is included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper introduces a robust adaptive fractional‐order non‐singular fast terminal sliding mode control (RFO‐TSM) for a lower‐limb exoskeleton system subject to unknown external disturbances and uncertainties. The referred RFO‐TSM is developed in consideration of the advantages of fractional‐order and non‐singular fast terminal sliding mode control (FONTSM): fractional‐order is used to obtain good tracking performance, while the non‐singular fast TSM is employed to achieve fast finite‐time convergence, non‐singularity and reducing chattering phenomenon in control input. In particular, an adaptive scheme is formulated with FONTSM to deal with uncertain dynamics of exoskeleton under unknown external disturbances, which makes the system robust. Moreover, an asymptotical stability analysis of the closed‐loop system is validated by Lyapunov proposition, which guarantees the sliding condition. Lastly, the efficacy of the proposed method is verified through numerical simulations in comparison with advanced and classical methods.  相似文献

An alternative adaptive scheme to achieve output tracking for a class of minimum-phase dynamically input–output linearizable nonlinear systems with parametric uncertainties is considered. The proposed approach is based upon a combination of the adaptive backstepping design method and a sliding mode control (SMC) scheme to design dynamical adaptive sliding mode controllers and provide robust output tracking even in the presence of unknown disturbances. The validity of the proposed approach, regarding tracking objectives and robustness with respect to bounded stochastic perturbation inputs, is tested through digital computer simulations. © 1997 by John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper presents a robust optimal sliding‐mode control approach for position tracking of a magnetic levitation system. First, a linear model that represents the nonlinear dynamics of the magnetic levitation system is derived by the feedback linearization technique. Then, the robust optimal sliding‐mode control developed from the linear model is proposed. In the proposed control scheme, the integral sliding‐mode control with robust optimal approach is developed to achieve the features of high performance in position tracking response and robustness to the matched and unmatched uncertainties. Simulation and experimental results from the computer‐controlled magnetic levitation system are illustrated to show the validity of the proposed control approach for practical applications. This paper develops a novel adaptive neural integral sliding‐mode control to enhance the tracking performance of fully actuated uncertain surface vessels. The proposed method is built based on an integrating between the benefits of the approximation capability of neural network (NN) and the high robustness and precision of the integral sliding‐mode control (ISMC). In this paper, the design of NN, which is used to approximate the unknown dynamics, is simplified such that just only one simple adaptive rule is needed. The ISMC, which can eliminate the reaching phase and offer higher tracking performance compared to the conventional sliding‐mode control, is designed such that the system robust against the approximation error and stabilize the whole system. The design procedure of the proposed controller is constructed according to the backstepping control technique so that the stability of the closed‐loop system is guaranteed based on Lyapunov criteria. The proposed method is then tested on a simulated vessel system using computer simulation and compared with other state‐of‐the‐art methods. The comparison results demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed approach.  相似文献

In order to achieve high‐performance speed regulation for sensorless interior permanent magnet synchronous motors (IPMSMS), a robust backstepping sensorless control is presented in this paper. Firstly, instead of a real mechanical sensor, a robust terminal sliding mode observer is used to provide the rotor position. Then, a new super‐twisting algorithm (STA) based observer is designed to obtain estimates of load torque and speed. The proposed observer ensures finite‐time convergence, maintains robust to uncertainties, and eliminates the common assumption of constant or piece‐wise constant load torque. Finally, a sensorless scheme is designed to realize speed control despite parameter uncertainties, by combining the robust backstepping control with sliding mode actions and the presented sliding mode observers. The stability of the observer and controller are verified by using Lyapunov's second method to determine the design gains. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

For the high precise tracking control purpose of a cable‐driven manipulator under lumped uncertainties, a novel adaptive fractional‐order nonsingular terminal sliding mode control scheme based on time delay estimation (TDE) is proposed and investigated in this paper. The proposed control scheme mainly has three elements, ie, a TDE element applied to properly compensate the lumped unknown dynamics of the system resulting in a fascinating model‐free feature; a fractional‐order nonsingular terminal sliding mode (FONTSM) surface element used to ensure high precision in the steady phase; and a combined reaching law with adaptive technique adopted to obtain fast convergence and high precision and chatter reduction under complex lumped disturbance. Stability of the closed‐loop control system is analyzed with the Lyapunov stability theory. Comparative simulations and experiments were performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed control scheme using 2‐DOF (degree of freedom) of a cable‐driven manipulator named Polaris‐I. Corresponding results show that our proposed method can ensure faster convergence, higher precision, and better robustness against complex lumped disturbance than the existing TDE‐based FONTSM and continuous FONTSM control schemes.  相似文献

A robust fault‐tolerant control scheme is proposed for uncertain nonlinear systems with zero dynamics, affected by actuator faults and lock‐in‐place and float failures. The proposed controller utilizes an adaptive second‐order sliding mode strategy integrated with the backstepping procedure, retaining the benefits of both the methodologies. A Lyapunov stability analysis has been conducted, which unfolds the advantages offered by the proposed methodology in the presence of inherent modeling errors and strong eventualities of faults and failures. Two modified adaptive laws have been formulated, to approximate the bounds of uncertainties due to modeling and to estimate the fault‐induced parametric uncertainties. The proposed scheme ensures robustness towards linearly parameterized mismatched uncertainties, in addition to parametric and nonparametric matched perturbations. The proposed controller has been shown to yield an improved post‐fault transient performance without any additional expense in the control energy spent. The proposed scheme is applied to the pitch control problem of a nonlinear longitudinal model of Boeing 747‐100/200 aircraft. Simulation results support theoretical propositions and confirm that the proposed controller produces superior post‐fault transient performance compared with already existing approaches designed for similar applications. Besides, the asymptotic stability of the overall controlled system is also established in the event of such faults and failures. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, a new adaptive sliding mode control is proposed to control nonlinear systems with parametric uncertainties and matched and unmatched external disturbances. The proposed method first combines immersion and invariance (I&I) adaptive scheme with sliding mode control (SMC), which preserves the advantages of the two methods. The proposed method is different from the approach of combining the backstepping adaptive scheme and sliding mode control in the parameter estimation law, which allows for prescribed dynamics to be assigned to the estimation error and is easier to tune. Finally, the method is applied to control a class of power systems, and simulation results show the advantages of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper presents the derivation of robust trajectory‐tracking nonlinear control laws for general three‐dimensional vehicle models with one degree of underactuation where all of the state tracking errors are stabilized. The method is based on a novel transformation of the trajectory tracking problem into a reduced‐order error dynamics. Two traditional nonlinear controllers based on sliding mode and backstepping approaches are developed and shown to stabilize the trajectory tracking errors in presence of modeling uncertainties and bounded disturbances. The performance of the two controllers are compared in absence and presence of disturbances.  相似文献

This article presents a robust tracking controller for an uncertain mobile manipulator system. A rigid robotic arm is mounted on a wheeled mobile platform whose motion is subject to nonholonomic constraints. The sliding mode control (SMC) method is associated with the fuzzy neural network (FNN) to constitute a robust control scheme to cope with three types of system uncertainties; namely, external disturbances, modelling errors, and strong couplings in between the mobile platform and the onboard arm subsystems. All parameter adjustment rules for the proposed controller are derived from the Lyapunov theory such that the tracking error dynamics and the FNN weighting updates are ensured to be stable with uniform ultimate boundedness (UUB).  相似文献

Combining sliding mode control method with radial basis function neural network (RBFNN), this paper proposes a robust adaptive control scheme based on backstepping design for re-entry attitude tracking control of near space hypersonic vehicle (NSHV) in the presence of parameter variations and external disturbances. In the attitude angle loop, a robust adaptive virtual control law is designed by using the adaptive method to estimate the unknown upper bound of the compound uncertainties. In the angular velocity loop, an adaptive sliding mode control law is designed to suppress the effect of parameter variations and external disturbances. The main benefit of the sliding mode control is robustness to parameter variations and external disturbances. To further improve the control performance, RBFNNs are introduced to approximate the compound uncertainties in the attitude angle loop and angular velocity loop, respectively. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, the tracking errors are shown to be asymptotically stable. Simulation results show that the proposed control system attains a satisfied control performance and is robust against parameter variations and external disturbances.   相似文献
