Proper design and simple preparation of nonnoble bifunctional electrocatalysts with high cost performance and strong durability for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and the oxygen evolution reaction (OER) is highly demanded but still full of enormous challenges. In this work, a spontaneous gas‐foaming strategy is presented to synthesize cobalt nanoparticles confined in 3D nitrogen‐doped porous carbon foams (CoNCF) by simply carbonizing the mixture of citric acid, NH4Cl, and Co(NO3)2·6H2O. Thanks to its particular 3D porous foam architecture, ultrahigh specific surface area (1641 m2 g?1), and homogeneous distribution of active sites (C–N, Co–Nx, and Co–O moieties), the optimized CoNCF‐1000‐80 (carbonized at 1000 °C, containing 80 mg Co(NO3)2·6H2O in precursors) catalyst exhibits a remarkable bifunctional activity and long‐term durability toward both ORR and OER. Its bifunctional activity parameter (ΔE) is as low as 0.84 V, which is much smaller than that of noble metal catalyst and comparable to state‐of‐the‐art bifunctional catalysts. When worked as an air electrode catalyst in rechargeable Zn–air batteries, a high energy density (797 Wh kg?1), a low charge/discharge voltage gap (0.75 V), and a long‐term cycle stability (over 166 h) are achieved at 10 mA cm?2.  相似文献

Multiwall carbon nanotube supported (MWCNT) Ag, Co, and Ag-Co alloy nanocatalysts were synthesized at varying metal loadings by borohydride reduction methods without stabilizers to obtain enhanced hydrogen peroxide sensitivity. The resulting materials were characterized employing Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and X-ray diffraction (XRD). For electrochemical measurements carried out cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), glassy carbon electrode (GCE) was modified with Ag/MWCNT, Co/MWCNT, and Ag-Co/MWCNT alloy nanoparticles. Ag-Co/MWCNT/GCE exhibited the highest performance toward electrochemical oxidation of H2O2 in 0.1 M phosphate buffered solution (PBS). Furthermore, the sensitivity and the limit of detection values for Ag-Co/MWCNT/GCE were obtained as 57.14 µA cm?2 mM?1and 0.74 µM, respectively. However, the sensitivity values for Ag/MWCNT/GCE, and Co/MWCNT/GCE are 41.66 and 13.88 µA cm?2 mM?1, respectively. The LOD values were predicted as 1.84 µM for Ag/MWCNT/GCE and 3.3 µM for Co/MWCNT/GCE.

In addition, the interference experiment indicated that the Ag-Co/MWCNT alloy nanoparticles have good selectivity toward H2O2.  相似文献

Herein, an approach is reported for fabrication of Co‐Nx‐embedded 1D porous carbon nanofibers (CNFs) with graphitic carbon‐encased Co nanoparticles originated from metal–organic frameworks (MOFs), which is further explored as a bifunctional electrocatalyst for both oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Electrochemical results reveal that the electrocatalyst prepared by pyrolysis at 1000 °C (CoNC‐CNF‐1000) exhibits excellent catalytic activity toward ORR that favors the four‐electron ORR process and outstanding long‐term stability with 86% current retention after 40 000 s. Meanwhile, it also shows superior electrocatalytic activity toward OER, reaching a lower potential of 1.68 V at 10 mA cm?2 and a potential gap of 0.88 V between the OER potential (at 10 mA cm?2) and the ORR half‐wave potential. The ORR and OER performance of CoNC‐CNF‐1000 have outperformed commercial Pt/C and most nonprecious‐metal catalysts reported to date. The remarkable ORR and OER catalytic performance can be mainly attributable to the unique 1D structure, such as higher graphitization degree beneficial for electronic mobility, hierarchical porosity facilitating the mass transport, and highly dispersed CoNxC active sites functionalized carbon framework. This strategy will shed light on the development of other MOF‐based carbon nanofibers for energy storage and electrochemical devices.  相似文献

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a green oxidizer widely involved in a vast number of chemical reactions. Electrochemical reduction of oxygen to H2O2 constitutes an environmentally friendly synthetic route. However, the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is kinetically sluggish and undesired water serves as the main product on most electrocatalysts. Therefore, electrocatalysts with high reactivity and selectivity are highly required for H2O2 electrosynthesis. In this work, a synergistic strategy is proposed for the preparation of H2O2 electrocatalysts with high ORR reactivity and high H2O2 selectivity. A Co?Nx?C site and oxygen functional group comodified carbon‐based electrocatalyst (named as Co–POC–O) is synthesized. The Co–POC–O electrocatalyst exhibits excellent catalytic performance for H2O2 electrosynthesis in O2‐saturated 0.10 m KOH with a high selectivity over 80% as well as very high reactivity with an ORR potential at 1 mA cm?2 of 0.79 V versus the reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE). Further mechanism study identifies that the Co?Nx?C sites and oxygen functional groups contribute to the reactivity and selectivity for H2O2 electrogeneration, respectively. This work affords not only an emerging strategy to design H2O2 electrosynthesis catalysts with remarkable performance, but also the principles of rational combination of multiple active sites for green and sustainable synthesis of chemicals through electrochemical processes.  相似文献

Artificial photosynthesis for CO2 reduction coupled with water oxidation currently suffers from low efficiency due to inadequate interfacial charge separation of conventional Z-scheme heterojunctions. Herein, an unprecedented nanoscale Janus Z-scheme heterojunction of CsPbBr3/TiOx is constructed for photocatalytic CO2 reduction. Benefitting from the short carrier transport distance and direct contact interface, CsPbBr3/TiOx exhibits significantly accelerated interfacial charge transfer between CsPbBr3 and TiOx (8.90 × 108 s−1) compared with CsPbBr3:TiOx counterpart (4.87 × 107 s−1) prepared by traditional electrostatic self-assembling. The electron consumption rate of cobalt doped CsPbBr3/TiOx can reach as high as 405.2 ± 5.6 µmol g−1 h−1 for photocatalytic CO2 reduction to CO coupled with H2O oxidation to O2 under AM1.5 sunlight (100 mW cm−2), over 11-fold higher than that of CsPbBr3:TiOx, and surpassing the reported halide-perovskite-based photocatalysts under similar conditions. This work provides a novel strategy to boost charge transfer of photocatalysts for enhancing the performance of artificial photosynthesis.  相似文献

Surface‐enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) based on plasmonic semiconductive material has been proved to be an efficient tool to detect trace of substances, while the relatively weak plasmon resonance compared with noble metal materials restricts its practical application. Herein, for the first time a facile method to fabricate amorphous HxMoO3 quantum dots with tunable plasmon resonance is developed by a controlled oxidization route. The as‐prepared amorphous HxMoO3 quantum dots show tunable plasmon resonance in the region of visible and near‐infrared light. Moreover, the tunability induced by SC CO2 is analyzed by a molecule kinetic theory combined with a molecular thermodynamic model. More importantly, the ultrahigh enhancement factor of amorphous HxMoO3 quantum dots detecting on methyl blue can be up to 9.5 × 105 with expending the limit of detection to 10?9 m . Such a remarkable porperty can also be found in this HxMoO3‐based sensor with Rh6G and RhB as probe molecules, suggesting that the amorphous HxMoO3 quantum dot is an efficient candidate for SERS on molecule detection in high precision.  相似文献

Engineered atomic dislocations have been used to create a novel, Sb2Te3 nanoplate‐like architecture that exhibits a unique antisymmetric chirality. High‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) coupled with atomic force microscopy and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy reveals the architectures to be extremely well ordered with little residual strain. Surface modification of these topologically complex macrostructures (≈3 µm) has been achieved by direct growth of metallic Ag nanoparticles onto the edge sites of the Sb2Te3. Again, HRTEM shows this nanoparticle decoration to be atomically sharp at the boundaries and regularly spaced along the selvedge of the nanostructure. Transport experiments of densified films of these assemblies exhibit marked increases in carrier density after nanoengineering, yielding 3.5 × 104 S m?1 in electrical conductivity. An increased Seebeck coefficient by 20% in parallel with electrical conductivity is also observed. This gives a thermoelectric power factor of 371 µW m?1 K?2, which is the highest value for a flexible, freestanding film to date. These results suggest an entirely new direction in the search for wearable power harvesters based on topologically complex, low‐dimensional nanoassemblies.  相似文献

Abstract

The space charge limited conduction (SCLC) mechanism in Co doped TiO2 has been investigated at different temperatures. At lower electric fields, ohmic behaviour is observed while at higher electric fields nonohmic behaviour is observed. The results obtained confirm the presence of SCLC in Co doped TiO2. The electronic parameters such as the position of the Fermi level above the valence band edge E F, the density of states in valence band N V and effective mass of holes m h were found as 12·32 meV, 1·26 × 1015 m?3 and 1·33 × 10?7 me, respectively. The distribution of localised states in the forbidden band gap of the Co doped TiO2 was characterised by current–voltage measurements and the density of localised states near the Fermi level N(EF) was found to be 2·11 × 1017 eV?1 m?3.  相似文献

The metallic interface between two oxide insulators, such as LaAlO3/SrTiO3 (LAO/STO), provides new opportunities for electronics and spintronics. However, due to the presence of multiple orbital populations, tailoring the interfacial properties such as the ground state and metal‐insulator transitions remains challenging. Here, an unforeseen tunability of the phase diagram of LAO/STO is reported by alloying LAO with a ferromagnetic LaMnO3 insulator without forming lattice disorder and at the same time without changing the polarity of the system. By increasing the Mn‐doping level, x, of LaAl1?xMnxO3/STO (0 ≤ x ≤ 1), the interface undergoes a Lifshitz transition at x = 0.225 across a critical carrier density of nc = 2.8 × 1013 cm?2, where a peak TSC ≈255 mK of superconducting transition temperature is observed. Moreover, the LaAl1?xMnxO3 turns ferromagnetic at x ≥ 0.25. Remarkably, at x = 0.3, where the metallic interface is populated by only dxy electrons and just before it becomes insulating, a same device with both signatures of superconductivity and clear anomalous Hall effect (7.6 × 1012 cm?2 < ns ≤ 1.1 × 1013 cm?2) is achieved reproducibly. This provides a unique and effective way to tailor oxide interfaces for designing on‐demand electronic and spintronic devices.  相似文献

Herein, the structural effect of MoS2 as a cocatalyst of photocatalytic H2 generation activity of g‐C3N4 under visible light irradiation is studied. By using single‐particle photoluminescence (PL) and femtosecond time‐resolved transient absorption spectroscopies, charge transfer kinetics between g‐C3N4 and two kinds of nanostructured MoS2 (nanodot and monolayer) are systematically investigated. Single‐particle PL results show the emission of g‐C3N4 is quenched by MoS2 nanodots more effectively than MoS2 monolayers. Electron injection rate and efficiency of g‐C3N4/MoS2‐nanodot hybrid are calculated to be 5.96 × 109 s?1 and 73.3%, respectively, from transient absorption spectral measurement, which are 4.8 times faster and 2.0 times higher than those of g‐C3N4/MoS2‐monolayer hybrid. Stronger intimate junction between MoS2 nanodots and g‐C3N4 is suggested to be responsible for faster and more efficient electron injection. In addition, more unsaturated terminal sulfur atoms can serve as the active site in MoS2 nanodot compared with MoS2 monolayer. Therefore, g‐C3N4/MoS2 nanodot exhibits a 7.9 times higher photocatalytic activity for H2 evolution (660 µmol g?1 h?1) than g‐C3N4/MoS2 monolayer (83.8 µmol g?1 h?1). This work provides deep insight into charge transfer between g‐C3N4 and nanostructured MoS2 cocatalysts, which can open a new avenue for more rationally designing MoS2‐based catalysts for H2 evolution.  相似文献

Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) is a very sensitive method for trace analysis because of its background interference and high signal-to-noise ratio. In the past decade, the determination of Cu2+ in environment has attracted considerable attention since it plays an essential role in many physiological processes. Herein, a novel ECL sensor based on C,N quantum dots embedded g-C3N4 nanosheets (C,N-QDs@NSs) was constructed for the detection of Cu2+. The nanocomposite was rapidly obtained via the oxidation of normal g-C3N4 in H2O2 solution using sonochemical synthesizing method. Due to the abundant surface defects on C,N-QDs@NSs, the ECL intensity was magnified 2.5 times for using a C,N-QDs@NSs electrode in comparision to a g-C3N4 modified electrode. Besides, C,N-QDs@NSs could accelerate the rate of electron transfer in ECL reaction and thus resulted in the lower cathodic peak potential. Significantly, Cu2+ could effectively quench the ECL of C,N-QD@NSs, which endowed C,N-QD@NSs with a great advantage in the ECL detection of Cu2+. under optimum conditions, C,N-QDs@NSs modified electrode exhibited a linear detection range from 5 × 10?4 to 10 µM with a detection limit of 2 × 10?4 µM (S/N?=?3) for Cu2+, and was finally applied to detect Cu2+ in real samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

Abstract

A new series of solid solutions Yb2W3-xMoxO12 (0.5 ≤ x ≤ 2.5) were successfully synthesized by the high-temperature solid state method. Their crystal structure and negative thermal expansion properties were studied using high-temperature X-ray powder diffraction and the Rietveld method. All samples of rare earth tungstates and molybdates were found to crystallize in the same orthorhombic structure with space group Pnca, and show the negative thermal expansion phenomena related to transverse vibration of bridging oxygen atoms in the structure. Thermal expansion coefficients (TEC) of Yb2W3-xMoxO12 were determined as ?18.3×10?6 K?1 for x = 0.5 and ?19.6×10?6 K?1 for x = 2.5 comparing to ?19.1×10?6 K?1 and ?18.3×10?6 K?1 for unsubstituted Yb2W3O12 and Yb2Mo3O12 in the identical temperature range of 200–800°C. High temperature X-ray diffraction data and bond length analysis suggest that the difference between W—O and Mo—O bond is responsible for the change of TECs after the element substitution in this series of solid solutions.  相似文献

The hydrogen and carbon monoxide separation is an important step in the hydrogen production process. If H2 can be selectively removed from the product side during hydrogen production in membrane reactors, then it would be possible to achieve complete CO conversion in a single‐step under high temperature conditions. In the present work, the multilayer amorphous‐Si‐B‐C‐N/γ‐Al2O3/α‐Al2O3 membranes with gradient porosity have been realized and assessed with respect to the thermal stability, geometry of pore space and H2/CO permeance. The α‐Al2O3 support has a bimodal pore‐size distribution of about 0.64 and 0.045 µm being macroporous and the intermediate γ‐Al2O3 layer—deposited from boehmite colloidal dispersion—has an average pore‐size of 8 nm being mesoporous. The results obtained by the N2‐adsorption method indicate a decrease in the volume of micropores—0.35 vs. 0.75 cm3 g?1—and a smaller pore size ?6.8 vs. 7.4 Å—in membranes with the intermediate mesoporous γ‐Al2O3 layer if compared to those without. The three times Si‐B‐C‐N coated multilayer membranes show higher H2/CO permselectivities of about 10.5 and the H2 permeance of about 1.05 × 10?8 mol m?2 s?1 Pa?1. If compared to the state of the art of microporous membranes, the multilayer Si‐B‐C‐N/γ‐Al2O3/α‐Al2O3 membranes are appeared to be interesting candidates for hydrogen separation because of their tunable nature and high‐temperature and high‐pressure stability.  相似文献

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a major messenger molecule in cellular signal transduction. Direct detection of H2O2 in complex environments provides the capability to illuminate its various biological functions. With this in mind, a novel electrochemical approach is here proposed by integrating a series of CoO nanostructures on CuO backbone at electrode interfaces. High‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), X‐ray diffraction, and X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy demonstrate successful formation of core–shell CuO–CoO hetero‐nanostructures. Theoretical calculations further confirm energy‐favorable adsorption of H2O2 on surface sites of CuO–CoO heterostructures. Contributing to the efficient electron transfer path and enhanced capture of H2O2 in the unique leaf‐like CuO–CoO hierarchical 3D interface, an optimal biosensor‐based CuO–CoO‐2.5 h electrode exhibits an ultrahigh sensitivity (6349 µA m m ?1 cm?2), excellent selectivity, and a wide detection range for H2O2, and is capable of monitoring endogenous H2O2 derived from human lung carcinoma cells A549. The synergistic effects for enhanced H2O2 adsorption in integrated CuO–CoO nanostructures and performance of the sensor suggest a potential for exploring pathological and physiological roles of reactive oxygen species like H2O2 in biological systems.  相似文献

Transition metal oxides have recently received great attention for application in advanced lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) and oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Herein, the ethylenediaminetetraacetic cobalt complex as a precursor to synthesize ultrafine Co3O4 nanoparticles encapsulated into a nitrogen‐doped carbon matrix (NC) composites is presented. The as‐prepared Co3O4/NC‐350 obtained by pyrolysis at 350 °C demonstrates superior rate performance (372 mAh g?1 at 5.0 A g?1) and high cycling stability (92% capacity retention after 300 cycles at 1.0 A g?1) as anode for LIBs. When evaluated as an electrocatalyst for OER, the Co3O4/NC‐350 achieves an overpotential of 298 mV at a current density of 10 mA cm?2. The NC‐encapsualted porous hierarchical structure assures fast and continuous electron transportation, high activity sites, and strong structural integrity. This works offers novel complex precursors for synthesizing transition metal–based electrodes for boosting electrochemical energy conversion and storage.  相似文献

Large size of capacitors is the main hurdle in miniaturization of current electronic devices. Herein, a scalable solution‐based layer‐by‐layer engineering of metallic and high‐κ dielectric nanosheets into multilayer nanosheet capacitors (MNCs) with overall thickness of ≈20 nm is presented. The MNCs are built through neat tiling of 2D metallic Ru0.95O20.2? and high‐κ dielectric Ca2NaNb4O13? nanosheets via the Langmuir–Blodgett (LB) approach at room temperature which is verified by cross‐sectional high‐resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM). The resultant MNCs demonstrate a high capacitance of 40–52 µF cm?2 and low leakage currents down to 10?5–10?6 A cm?2. Such MNCs also possess complimentary in situ robust dielectric properties under high‐temperature measurements up to 250 °C. Based on capacitance normalized by the thickness, the developed MNC outperforms state‐of‐the‐art multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC, ≈22 µF cm?2/5 × 104 nm) present in the market. The strategy is effective due to the advantages of facile, economical, and ambient temperature solution assembly.  相似文献

Zn1?xCoxO (x?=?0.01, 0.05 and 0.1) bulk ceramics were prepared through a two-step, solid state reaction method combined with spark plasma sintering technique. The single phase Zn1?xCoxO powders were synthesized using ZnO and Co3O4 at 935?°C in air for 3?h. The Zn1?xCoxO bulks were prepared at sintering temperature from 900 to 1,100?°C for 5?min by SPS. The relative density of Zn1?xCoxO bulk ceramics sintered at 1,100?°C is higher than 99% of the theoretical value. The Structure, composition analysis, optical absorption, Raman and XPS measurements revealed that the Co2+ substituted Zn2+ ions and was incorporated into the lattice of ZnO in both of the single phase Zn1?xCoxO powders and bulk ceramics. Room- and low-temperature magnetization measurements reveal a paramagnetic behavior and that the paramagnetic Co amount is smaller than the nominal Co concentration for all of Zn1?xCoxO samples at 4?K. The paramagnetic magnetism of bulk ceramics is apparently larger than that of powders with the same composition. The electrical properties measurements reveal that the Co concentration has a slight influence on the electrical properties of Zn1?xCoxO bulk ceramics. The carriers concentration is about 1?×?1020?cm?3 and with the Co concentration increases the resistivity slightly increases from 3.56?×?10?3 (x?=?0.01) to 5.58?×?10?3 (x?=?0.1) Ωcm.  相似文献

Herein, a new type of cobalt encapsulated nitrogen‐doped carbon (Co@NC) nanostructure employing ZnxCo1?x(C3H4N2) metal–organic framework (MOF) as precursor is developed, by a simple, ecofriendly, solvent‐free approach that utilizes a mechanochemical coordination self‐assembly strategy. Possible evolution of ZnxCo1?x(C3H4N2) MOF structures and their conversion to Co@NC nanostructures is established from an X‐ray diffraction technique and transmission electron microscopy analysis, which reveal that MOF‐derived Co@NC core–shell nanostructures are well ordered and highly crystalline in nature. Co@NC–MOF core–shell nanostructures show excellent catalytic activity for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), with onset potential of 0.97 V and half‐wave potential of 0.88 V versus relative hydrogen electrode in alkaline electrolyte, and excellent durability with zero degradation after 5000 potential cycles; whereas under similar experimental conditions, the commonly utilized Pt/C electrocatalyst degrades. The Co@NC–MOF electrocatalyst also shows excellent tolerance to methanol, unlike the Pt/C electrocatalyst. X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) analysis shows the presence of ORR active pyridinic‐N and graphitic‐N species, along with CoNx? Cy and Co? Nx ORR active (M–N–C) sites. Enhanced electron transfer kinetics from nitrogen‐doped carbon shell to core Co nanoparticles, the existence of M–N–C active sites, and protective NC shells are responsible for high ORR activity and durability of the Co@NC–MOF electrocatalyst.  相似文献

Compositional interplay of two different cobalt phosphates (Co(H2PO4)2; Co‐DP and Co(PO3)2; Co‐MP) loaded on morphologically engineered high surface area nanocarbon leads to an increased electrocatalytic efficiency for oxygen evolution reaction (OER) in near neutral conditions. This is reflected as significant reduction in the onset overpotential (301 mV) and enhanced current density (30 mA cm?2 @ 577 mV). In order to achieve uniform surface loading, organic‐soluble thermolabile cobalt‐bis(di‐tert‐butylphosphate) is synthesized in situ inside the nanocarbon matrix and subsequently pyrolyzed at 150 °C to produce Co(H2PO4)2/Co(PO3)2 (80:20 wt%). Annealing this sample at 200 or 250 °C results in the redistribution of the two phosphate systems to 55:45 or 20:80 (wt%), respectively. Detailed electrochemical measurements clearly establish that the 55:45 (wt%) sample prepared at 200 °C performs the best as a catalyst, owing to a relay mechanism that enhances the kinetics of the 4e? transfer OER process, which is substantiated by micro‐Raman spectroscopic studies. It is also unraveled that the engineered nanocarbon support simultaneously enhances the interfacial charge‐transfer pathway, resulting in the reduction of onset overpotential, compared to earlier investigated cobalt phosphate systems.  相似文献

Magnetic fluid hyperthermia has been recently considered as a Renaissance of cancer treatment modality due to its remarkably low side effects and high treatment efficacy compared to conventional chemotheraphy or radiotheraphy. However, insufficient AC induction heating power at a biological safe range of AC magnetic field (Happl·fappl < 3.0–5.0 × 109 A m?1 s?1), and highly required biocompatibility of superparamagnetic nanoparticle (SPNP) hyperthermia agents are still remained as critical challenges for successful clinical hyperthermia applications. Here, newly developed highly biocompatible magnesium shallow doped γ‐Fe2O3 (Mg0.13‐γFe2O3) SPNPs with exceptionally high intrinsic loss power (ILP) in a range of 14 nH m2 kg?1, which is an ≈100 times higher than that of commercial Fe3O4 (Feridex, ILP = 0.15 nH m2 kg?1) at Happl·fappl = 1.23 × 109 A m?1 s?1 are reported. The significantly enhanced heat induction characteristics of Mg0.13‐γFe2O3 are primarily due to the dramatically enhanced out‐of‐phase magnetic susceptibility and magnetically tailored AC/DC magnetic softness resulted from the systematically controlled Mg2+ cations distribution and concentrations in octahedral site Fe vacancies of γ‐Fe2O3 instead of well‐known Fe3O4 SPNPs. In vitro and in vivo magnetic hyperthermia studies using Mg0.13‐γFe2O3 nanofluids are conducted to estimate bioavailability and biofeasibility. Mg0.13‐γFe2O3 nanofluids show promising hyperthermia effects to completely kill the tumors.  相似文献
