Denitrification on poly-beta-hydroxybutyrate in microbial granular sludge sequencing batch reactor 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Microbial granules were successfully cultivated in an alternating aerobic-anaerobic sequencing batch reactor (SBR) for removing organic carbon and nitrogen. It was found that almost all input ammonium was converted to nitrite and nitrate in the aerobic phase, while the efficiency of denitrification was highly related to the availability of external carbon source in the anaerobic phase. Complete denitrification was achieved with sufficient supply of external carbon, while only partial denitrification was observed with no addition of external carbon. Results showed that in the absence of external carbon source, pre-accumulated poly-beta-hydroxybutyric acid (PHB) in microbial granules could be utilized for cell maintenance and denitrification. With supply of external carbon but no addition of nitrate, PHB accumulation accounted for the main mechanism of the organic removal. Under balanced growth conditions (with organic carbon and nitrogen supply), external organic carbon was consumed simultaneously for denitrification, PHB storage as well as for cell functions. It was revealed that the potential role of PHB for denitrification by microbial granules was very limited, i.e. less than 28 mg nitrate-nitrogen l(-1) was found to be denitrified with internally accumulated PHB. In the present study a Perkin-Elmer 5000 atomic absorption spectrometer equipped with a tungsten--iodide lamp for improved background correction at the 357.9 nm chromium absorption line and an HGA 500 graphite furnace were employed for the direct determination of chromium in human serum, milk and urine. The method of standard additions was used: 0.25-0.75 ng Cr was added to 1 ml samples. Except for urine samples, a dilution of 1 + 1 to 1 + 2 with H2O was necessary in order to obtain correct calibration curves. The average concentration of chromium in all the samples of normal subjects was less than 0.5 ng Cr ml-1. The day-to-day variation for all of the pooled samples was around 10% (relative standard deviation). For urine, the accuracy of the method was tested by comparing the results of another laboratory for the same two round robin samples. Excellent agreement was found between the present method and those of the other laboratory that had used isotope dilution--mass spectrometry and continuum source wavelength modulated echelle--atomic absorption spectrometry to define the chromium concentration in the samples. The detection limit of the method, 0.05 ng Cr ml-1 for urine and serum and 0.1 ng Cr ml-1 for human milk, was sufficient for the biological fluids analyzed. The method was employed for the determination of chromium in 24-h urine samples of maturity onset diabetics supplemented with 20 or 200 micrograms Cr3+ d-1 for six weeks. It was shown that the 24-h urinary chromium excretion accurately indicates the daily dietary chromium intake of these patients. 相似文献

在青藏高原高寒区对东昆仑矿集区某斑岩型铜铁矿利用激电数据进行了快速评价及成矿预测。利用先平面后剖面的地质工作方法:首先通过中间梯度法装置进行了平面测量,数据利用距离加权反比插值法进行了插值绘图;接着利用对称四极装置测深法进行了典型剖面的测量,数据采用有限单元法进行了正演模型构造与拟合计算,数据拟合误差幅频率达到0.58%,电阻率达到6.6%,清楚地划分了含矿异常带和围岩的分布,最后钻探验证效果明显。文章提及的数据采集、处理解释方法和思路,为在交通不便、高寒矿集区的地质找矿快速评价工作提供了参考。 相似文献

Multi-stage ozonation-biological treatment process for dissolved organic carbon (DOC) removal was evaluated to apply for drinking water treatment. Waters with different types of DOC were used, i.e. a reservoir water for drinking water supply, a secondary effluent from a municipal wastewater treatment plant and a solution of humic substances extracted from leaf mold. The multi-stage ozonation-biological treatment process was compared with conventional single-stage ozonation-biological treatment process. Amount of DOC removed in biological treatment was defined as amount of biodegradable dissolved organic carbon (BDOC) in influent of biological treatment. DOC removal in the multi-stage ozonation-biological treatment was higher than that in the conventional single-stage ozonation-biological treatment with the same total ozonation time for the reservoir water and humic substances solution. Moreover, three- or four-stage ozonation for 5 min followed by biological treatment (total ozonation time 15 or 20 min) showed higher removal of DOC than the single-stage ozonation (60 min) and biological treatment. The higher DOC removal in the multi-stage treatment was due to the production of BDOC by ozonation. The long-term ozonation was not effective to produce BDOC because most of ozone was utilized to oxidize BDOC produced in the early stage of ozonation. In the multi-stage treatment, ozonation was effective to decompose refractory DOC and to produce BDOC because BDOC was removed by biological treatment. However, multi-stage ozonation-biological treatment was not effective for the secondary effluent. The reason seems to be high concentration of ozone scavengers in that water and low reactivity of DOC for ozone. 相似文献
