Sr2Mg Si2O7:Tb3+,Ce3+ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction and placed in a muffle furnace in a reducing atmosphere at 1300 oC for 3 h. Photoluminescence properties and energy transfer were investigated. The Ce3+/Tb3+ energy transfer was thoroughly investigated by their emission/excitation spectra and photoluminescence lifetime, there was shortened lifetime of Ce3+(from 51.31 to 50.06 ns) which could support evidence of energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+ in the host. The varied emitted color of Sr1.97–yMg Si2O7:0.03Tb3+,y Ce3+ phosphors could be achieved by altering the concentration of Ce3+, the chromaticity coordinates(x, y) varied from(0.225, 0.376) to(0.172, 0.231). In Sr1.96 Mg Si2O7:0.03Tb3+,0.01 Ce3+ phosphors, the results indicated that Sr2 Mg Si2O7:Tb3+,Ce3+ might be useful as tunable phosphors for ultraviolet white-light-emitting diodes.  相似文献

Yttrium aluminum garnet structure phosphors Lu2CaMg2Si3O12:Mn2+ were synthesized by conventional high temperature solid-state reaction in reductive atmosphere. The structure and optical properties of samples were characterized by application of powder X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence spectroscopy. Results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis showed that the phosphors mainly presented garnet structure with a few weak peaks of impurity phases. Lu2-xCaMg2Si3O12:xMn2+ (x=0.01-0.8) phosphors showed a broad emission band peaking at around 590 nm under ultraviolet (UV) light of 408 nm when Mn2+ concentration was less than 0.08 mol. With an increase in the Mn2+ concentration (above 0.08), another broad emission band peaking at 720 nm besides 590 nm was observed, which may be due to manganese ion having different valence and occupying different host lattice. The critical quenching concentrations of manganese ion in the wavelength of 590 and 720 nm were about 0.06 and 0.2 mol, respectively. With 408 nm excitation wavelength, emission color of the samples had a red shift trend as the Mn2+ concentration increased. All the results indicated that the Lu2CaMg2Si3O12:Mn2+ phosphors could be applicable to n-UV based white LEDs.  相似文献

Eu2+-doped K2 Mg Si3O8 phosphors were synthesized by conventional solid-state reaction method. The phase formation of as-prepared samples was characterized by X-ray powder diffraction. The luminescence properties were investigated by the photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, decay curve and CIE coordinates. The phosphor showed bluish-green emission centered at 460 nm under the excitation of UV and near UV light with the wavelength range of 250–430 nm. Two Eu2+ emission centers existed in the K2 Mg Si3O8:Eu2+ phosphor according to the luminescence spectra and the decay curves. The critical quenching concentration of Eu2+ doping was determined to be 3.0 mol.% and the concentration quenching mechanism was dipole-dipole interactions between Eu2+ ions. These results suggested that K2 Mg Si3O8:Eu2+ was a potential bluish-green phosphor candidate for white UV-LED.  相似文献

Oxonitridosilicate phosphors with compositions of Y 1-x Ce x SiO 2 N (x=0-0.1) were synthesized by a new synthetic route based on a solid state reaction among YSi, CeSi, SiO 2 and Y 2 O 3 compounds at high temperature and high pressure. The photoluminescence properties dependent on Ce concentration and temperature were investigated. Concentration quenching occurred when the doped Ce 3+ concentration was more than 3 mol.%. The emission spectra showed red shifts from 430 to 447 nm with the increased Ce concentration from 0.5 mol.% to 10 mol.%. The quenching temperature was estimated as ~380 K. The chromaticity coordinates of the excitation and emission spectra were stable against the temperature. This study showed these YSiO 2 N:Ce 3+ phosphors the potential applications in the three-RGB phosphor-converted white LEDs.  相似文献

Blue emitting rare earth(Eu2+,Ce3+) doped BaAl2Si2O8 phosphors were synthesized by combustion methods at 600 oC. BaAl2Si2O8: Eu2+ phosphor showed isolated broad blue emission band at 455 nm, when it was excited with the wavelength of 329 nm. Whereas BaAl2Si2O8:Ce3+ phosphor exhibited blue emission band at 442 nm, under 303 nm excitation wavelength. These observed emission bands of Eu2+ and Ce3+ ions corresponded to 5d-4f allowed transitions. The position of emission band was calculated by using the equationE=Q[1-〔V/4〕^1/V)]× 10 (nEar/80)Also the spin orbit splitting difference in the ground state levels of Ce3+ ion was studied by Gaussian curve fitting. Broad absorption and emission bands in blue regions made prepared phosphors a promising blue host for the white-LEDs.  相似文献

In order to obtain a single-host-white-light phosphor,a series of Ba1.8-w-x-y-zSrwLi0.4-xCexEuyMnzSiO4(BSLS:Ce3+,Eu2+,Mn2+)powder samples were synthesized via high temperature solid-state reaction. The structure and photoluminescence properties were investigated.Under ultraviolet excitation, the emission spectra contained three bands:the 370-470 nm blue band, the 470-570 nm green band and the 570-700 nm red band, which arose from the 5d→4f transitions of Ce3+ and Eu2+,and the 4T1→6A1 transition of Mn2+,respectively.The excitation spectra of the emissions of Ce3+ and Mn2+ ions showed the energy transfer from Ce3+ to Mn2+.White light emission was obtained from the tri-doped samples of appropriate doping concentration under 310-360 nm excitation.  相似文献

We described the synthesis and luminescence of Ca1.5Y1.5Al3.5Si1.5O12:Ce3+ phosphor for light emitting diode (LED). The crystal-linity, morphology, structure, and luminescence spectra were examined by X-ray diffraction, field emission-scanning electron microscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The results showed that Ca1.5Y1.5Al3.5Si1.5O12:Ce3+ phase was a dominating phase with little impurity phase peaks of Y2O3 when the sintered temperature reached to 1400 oC. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) images showed the particle size of the phosphor was about 3 μm. Meanwhile, the excitation and emission spectra indicated that the as-prepared phosphors could be effectively excited by blue (460 nm) light and the excitation spectrum showed a broad band extending from 400-500 nm, while emission spectrum showed a broad yellow band peaking at 534 nm. The decay curve at the emission peak consisted of fast and slow components. The Ca1.5Y1.5Al3.5Si1.5O12:Ce3+ should be a promising yellow phosphor for near blue-based white-light-emitting diodes (LEDs).  相似文献

An efficient near-infrared (NIR) downconversion (DC) by converting broadband ultraviolet (UV) into NIR was demonstrated in YVO4:Tm3+,Yb3+ phosphors. The phosphors were extensively characterized using various methods such as X-ray diffraction, photoluminescence excitation, photoluminescence spectra and decay lifetime to provide supporting evidence for DC process. Upon UV light varying from 260 to 350 nm or blue light (473 nm) excitation, an intense NIR emission of Yb3+ corresponding to transition of 2F5/2→2F7/2 peaking at 985 nm was generated. The visible emission, the NIR mission and the decay lifetime of the phosphors of various Yb3+ concentrations were investigated. Experimental results showed that the energy transfer from vanadate group to Yb3+ via Tm3+ was very efficient. Application of the broadband DC YVO4:Tm3+,Yb3+ phosphors might greatly enhance response of siliconbased solar cells.  相似文献

Novel red-emitting phosphors Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu3+ were prepared by gel-combustion method assisted by microwave. The phase struc-ture and luminescent properties of as-synthesized phosphors were investigated by XRD and fluorescence spectrophotometer, respectively. The results showed that the as-synthesized sample was Sr2MgSi2O7 with tetragonal crystal structure. The excitation spectrum of Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu3+ was composed of two major parts: one was the broad band between 200 and 350 nm, which belonged to the charge transfer of Eu3+-O2-; the other consisted of a series of sharp lines between 350 and 450 nm, ascribed to the f-f transition of Eu3+. The emission spec-trum consisted of two emission peaks at 593 and 616 nm, which was attributed to 5D0→7F1 and 5D0→7F2 of Eu3+, respectively. The concen-tration of Eu3+ (x) had great effect on the emission intensity of Sr2-xMgSi2O7:Eu3+x. When x varied in the range of 0.04-0.18, the intensity of emission peaks at 593 and 616 nm increased gradually with the concentration of Eu3+ increasing. It was interesting that no concentration quenching occurred. Moreover, the luminescent intensity could be greatly enhanced with incorporation of charge compensator Li+ ions.  相似文献

A series of NaBa1-x-yPO4: xCe3+, yTb3+ phosphors were synthesized by solid-state reaction method. The crystal structure, photoluminescence emission and excitation spectra and decay times of the phosphors were carefully investigated. The results revealed that an efficient energy transfer occurred from Ce3+ to Tb3+ ions in NaBaPO4 host by means of dipole-dipole interactions and the critical distance of the energy transfer was about 0.638 nm. Moreover, the phosphor emitted strong green emission under UV excitation, indicating that the phosphors are potentially useful as a highly efficient, green-emitting phosphor.  相似文献

Photoluminescence properties of Sr 2.5 Dy 1/3-x Eu x V 2 O 8(x=0,0.06,0.12,0.18,0.24,0.33) were investigated. The excitation spectra included a broad band in the short wavelength region and several sharp lines in the longer wavelength region, and the spectral origin were discussed. The emission spectra were measured in two different exciting ways,i.e.,exciting the VO 4 group at 270 nm and the Eu 3+ ion at 398 nm,respectively, and the energy transferring process was reasonably suggested.Furthermore,multi-color emission could be achieved in Sr 2.5 Dy 1/3-x Eu x V 2 O 8,indicating that the studied samples had potential applications in the white light emitting diodes.Further investigation showed that reducing the concentration of Eu 3+ and Dy 3+ and introducing Bi 3+ as a sensitizer ion greatly enhanced the emission intensity.  相似文献

Tb3+ and Ce3+ co-activated LiZnPO4 phosphors with high luminescence efficiency were synthesized by a high temperature solid-state reaction at 1000 oC for 3 h. The XRD patterns, photoluminescence spectra and SEM were recorded and the effects of Tb3+ and Ce3+ concentration, sintering condition on the luminescent properties of as-synthesized phosphors were investigated. The emission spectra under ultraviolet (200-300 nm) radiation showed a dominant peak at 543 nm attributed to the 5D4→7F5 transition of Tb3+, which was greatly en-hanced by the co-doping of Ce3+, indicating that there occurred an efficient non-radiative energy transfer from Ce3+ to Tb3+. The optimal dop-ing concentrations of Tb3+ and Ce3+ were determined to be 9% and 10%, respectively.  相似文献

Cerium-doped Sr3(A11-x,Six)O4-xNxF oxynitride phosphors with different x values were synthesized by solid-state reaction. The structure and optical properties of these phosphors were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS) and photoluminescence (PL) spectra. The XRD results showed that SiN substitution for Al-O) did not change the structure of Sr3A104F host and there was no impurity for x〈0.6. With the increasing ofx values, the absorption of phosphors at the blue region was enhanced and the emitting band varied from 519 to 529 nm under the 460 nm blue light excitation. The red shift of the emission band was associated with an increase in the crystal-field splitting and the covalence, which arose from the incorporation of N. More- over, the incorporation of N also improved the thermal quenching properties and the external quantum efficiency with a maximum value up to 43.3%, indicating that this phosphor is a promising candidate for white LEDs application.  相似文献

A novel red phosphor Eu3+ doped magnesium titanate (MgTiO3) was synthesized via sol-gel method. The X-ray diffraction patterns (XRD) revealed that a pure MgTiO3 phase was obtained. Its excitation spectrum consisted of a broad band (<350nm) and a series of narrow bands in the long wavelength, and the strongest excitation peak at 465nm might be exited by GaN-chip to emit red light for white LED. The phosphors showed strong emission at 614nm which could be attributed to the 5D0→7F2 emission of Eu3+ . The emission intensity of MgTiO3:Eu3+ phosphor reached the maximum at the Eu3+ concentration of 3.5mol.%. The luminescent properties (such as emission intensity and decay times) were further improved by introducing Al3+ as a charge compensator, demonstrating potential applications in white LED.  相似文献

Highly efficient Sr2Si5N8:Eu^2+red emitting phosphor was successfully synthesized by a cost-effective direct silicon nitrida-tion and gas-reduction method. The effects of synthesis parameters, including reaction temperature, heating rate and gas species, on the crystal structure and photoluminescence of the prepared phosphors were studied. Single-phase Sr2Si5N8:Eu^2+phosphor was ob-tained at 1500℃ with a heating rate of 300℃/h under NH3-1 vol.%CH4 atmosphere using starting silicon and oxide powders. Silicon powder and high heating rate favored the achievement of the pure Sr2Si5N8 phase. Under near-UV to blue light excitation, the obtained Sr2Si5N8:Eu2+phosphor showed a board red emission band centered at about 625 nm, which agreed well with the phosphors prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction. The possible reaction mechanism was also proposed based on the experimental observations.  相似文献

The hardystonite phosphors of Eu2+ activated M2ZnSi2O7(M=Sr,Ba) were synthesized by combustion-assisted method. They were systematically characterized by photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra. The emission spectra of these two phosphors showed that the main emission peaks are at 475 and 503 nm due to 4f65d1→4f7 transition of Eu2+.Both phosphors could be efficiently excited in the wavelength range of 250-425 nm where the near ultraviolet light-emitting diode was well matched. The(x,y) color coordinates were determined with the emission values(x,y)=(0.41,0.21) and(0.16,0.45) for the M2ZnSi2O7:Eu2+(M=Sr,Ba) phosphors.  相似文献

Green-emitting Sr2LiSiO4F:Eu2+ and blue-emitting Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+ phosphors were synthesized by the conventional high temperature solid-state route, respectively.Their structures and photoluminescenee properties were comparatively investigated. It was found that the mixture phases of Sr2MgSi2O7 and SrF2 were obtained when a part of Sr2+ in Sr2LiSiO4F was replaced by some amount of Mg2+ in order to design the possible SrMgLiSiO4F:Eu2+ phosphor.Based on the photoluminescence analysis,Sr2LiSiO4F:Eu2+ phosphor exhibited a green broad emission band of main peak at 513 nm under the excitation of 365 nm,while the Sr2MgSi2O7:Eu2+ and SrMgLiSiO4F:Eu2+ phosphor showed blue emission centered at 467 nm.The temperature dependent photoluminescence properties and room temperature decay time for the three kinds of phosphors were also discussed in this paper.  相似文献

Phosphors with controlled emission spectra are of great interest due to their application for white light emitting diodes.Herein, a new class of Sr3Y2(SiO3)6:Ce3+,Tb3+ phosphors were synthesized by a facile sol-gel combustion method. The phase structure, morphology, and luminescence properties of the phosphors were characterized by using powder X-ray diffraction(XRD), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), and photoluminescence excitation and emission spectra, respectively. The results on luminescence properties indicated that co-doped Ce3+ ions served as UV-light sensitizers with excitation energy partially transferred to Tb3+ ions, leading to green emission from Tb3+. Particularly, the corresponding emitting colors of the phosphors could be well-tuned from deep blue(0.16, 0.05) to green region(0.25, 0.45) by adjusting the molar ratio of Ce3+/Tb3+.  相似文献
