本文对NRD波导裂缝天线横向辐射现象进行了深入的研究.给出了一种分析波导缝隙横向辐射能量空间分布的有效方法.研究结果不仅对开放波导激励的缝隙天线的设计有实际意义,而且对以缝隙作为耦合结构的集成电路的研制,特别对抑制由横向辐射造成的干扰的研究有着重要的指导意义.  相似文献

本文提出一种应用平面波导模型和平面格林函数计算微带不均匀性的方法。在计及传输线上高次模的情况下,可得到和外接传输线相连边界上存在不均匀性的微带电路的Z或S参数。由于具有高精度和通用性,本文的方法可应用于微波集成电路的分析和优化程序中以改进电路设计的精度。作为实例给出了用本文方法计算的若干微带不均匀性的结果。  相似文献

基片集成波导是一种具有低差损、低辐射、高品质因数的新型平面导波结构.文中利用基片集成波导结构设计并制作了一种工作于X波段的带通滤波器,该滤波器易与其它微波平面电路集成.实测结果表明,该滤波器的中心频率是9.75 GHz,相对带宽是15.4%,通带内反射系数均小于-15 dB,插入损耗均优于1.5 dB,与仿真结果基本吻合,验证了设计方法的正确性.  相似文献

基于半模基片集成波导技术,提出了一种适用于微波集成电路的双频段缝隙天线。该双频段天线由馈电微带线,一段半共面波导结构和具有辐射缝隙的半模基片集成波导谐振腔构成,利用半模基片集成波导谐振腔的多模式工作特性实现了天线多频段特性。仿真和测试结果表明,该天线能同时工作在C频段(谐振频率5.74 GHz,S11=-21.86 dB)和X频段(谐振频率11.33 GHz,S11=-25.09 dB),不需要同时采用两个天线,具有便于和平面电路集成、体积小、结构简单、成本低等优点。  相似文献

A new substrate integrated circuits (SICs) fabrication technique is proposed for realizing nonradiative dielectric (NRD) waveguide circuits. This new technique called substrate integrated NRD (SINRD) guide allows the NRD guide be integrated within a dielectric substrate by drilling a pattern of air holes. Dispersion analysis and design considerations of the new structure are discussed. A hybrid integrated scheme of planar and SINRD circuits is demonstrated for the first time with simulation and measurement results.  相似文献

The NRD/microstrip line hybrid integration structure shows good behavior for millimeter wave applications. This paper applies the integral equations method to analyze the transmission characteristics of the NRD/microstrip line hybrid integrated baluns coupling through slot and operating in LSE or LSM modes. To apply this method, a new Greens’ function of microstrip line is presented and the slot coupling problems between NRD guide and microstrip line and the practical LSE and LSM-mode baluns are analyzed respectively. The availability of the present approach is validated by rather good agreement between the theoretical results and the experiment data given in the literature.  相似文献

A new millimenter-wave Gunn oscillator is described. The present structure makes use of NRD guide and metal resonant cap. The field expressions and the design considerations of NRD guide are discussed. Some experimental results of 8mm and 6mm band oscillators show that the new Gunn oscillator has a future as an integrated millimeter-wave source.  相似文献

Nonradiative dielectric (NRD) resonators have been recently known as excellent stabilizing components for the design of a new class of oscillators based on hybrid integration of planar circuits and NRD-guides. However, an accurate characterization of such a component is needed in order to develop efficient computer-aided-design programs. In this paper, a hybrid planar integrated circuit comprising an NRD resonator is accurately modeled and is coupled to input and output planar microstrip circuits by means of long slots located on the top ground plane of the NRD structure. A reciprocity approach is used to solve the coupling problem between the resonator and microstrip lines. A modal expansion of the field equations has been applied to the NRD resonator in obtaining its rigorous field expressions. Finally, a transmission-line analysis is proposed for the structure, and scattering parameters have been calculated for different slot positions. Results are discussed for various parametric effects on coupling and Q-factor characteristics  相似文献

Leaky wave characteristics of modified NRD (Nonradiative Dielectric) guide with parallel plate length are systemically investigated. A technique is used to investigate the leaky property of the guide structure, whichis formulated by effectively combining the multimode network theory with the mode-matching method. In the paper, two phenomena are carefully studied: First, the asymmetric position of the dielectric rod generates a leaky hybrid mode that could produce cross talk between components of the circuit. Second, when the length of metallic plate is finite, another type of leaky mode creates which influences and even couples to the normal leaky guide mode under appropriate circumstances.  相似文献

This paper describes the full-wave numerical analysis of complex nonradiative dielectric (NRD) guide structures including linear or nonlinear lumped elements. The numerical results described in this paper, validated through experimentation, show that the method is suitable for NRD guide and similar circuits. Nonlinear analysis of a single-ended NRD guide mixer is carried out, and the results are experimentally verified. Nonlinear harmonic-balance analysis of a novel leaky-wave balanced mixer circuit with very good tolerance of manufacturing inaccuracies in NRD guide configuration in Ka-band is then carried out. Due to curved segments, and orders of magnitude difference in the dimensions of different parts, the analysis of this component requires certain simplifying assumptions. How these can be implemented without sacrificing much accuracy is described. Until now, the design of NRD guide components, especially those using nonlinear effects, has been mostly trial-and-error-based. Here we demonstrate that a more systematic approach is possible.  相似文献

A new structure for a nonradiative dielectric (NRD) waveguide directional coupler has been developed. The structure combines two NRD guides and a dielectric slab guide in order to utilize a leakage mechanism for coupling. The coupling depends on this leaky mechanism, but not on field interactions as in a conventional proximity coupler. A theoretical formula for calculation of the decay constant is derived. The field along the NRD guide and the decay constant are measured at Ka band (35 GHz) and compared with the theoretical data. The leaky characteristics of the NRD guide with arbitarary profile of cross section are systematically studied by a method which combines staircase approximation with multimode network theory and mode-matching procedure. Emphasis is laid on the investigation of the effect of the different profile dimensions on the leakage characteristics of the NRD guide. Extensive numerical results are given to establish useful guidelines for the design of some new types of NRD guide leaky wave antennas.  相似文献

In this paper, we present two contributions. First, we develop a computationally efficient technique for the full-wave characterization of inhomogeneously dielectric-filled cavities connected to inhomogeneously dielectric-loaded waveguides. This method is based on the expansion of the electromagnetic field within the cavity in terms of their solenoidal and irrotational modes. The presented formulation allows the treatment of hybrid modes in the waveguide ports, where the definition of a characteristic modal impedance or admittance is not possible. The multimode scattering matrix of the structure is computed throughout an efficient implementation of the orthonormal-basis method for the calculation of the cavity modes. Secondly, we have employed the present technique for the analysis and design of nonradiative dielectric (NRD) guide components and discontinuities. Moreover, the application of the bi-orthonormal-basis method for the calculation of the full-spectrum of NRD guides is demonstrated as being a very efficient approach for the rigorous treatment of such guides. Next, an efficient computer-aided design tool has been developed for the analysis of complex NRD-guide circuits. We have compared our simulations with theoretical and experimental results available in the technical literature, fully validating our software. This code has been employed for the specific analysis of a linear continuous taper to match two NRD guides with different widths, demonstrating a considerable reduction of the return losses over a wide frequency band. Finally, stopband and bandpass NRD-guide filters based on an electromagnetic-bandgap concept are presented.  相似文献
