2219-T87 aluminum alloy is widely used for fabricating liquid rocket propellant storage tank, due to its admirable cryogenic property. Welding is the dominant joining method in the manufacturing process of aerospace components. In this study, the tungsten inert gas welding and friction stir welding (FSW) characteristics of 4-mm-thick 2219-T87 alloy plate at room temperature (25 °C) and deep cryogenic temperature (?196 °C) were investigated by property measurements and microscopy methods. The studied 2219 base alloy exhibits a low strength plane anisotropy and excellent room temperature and cryogenic mechanical properties. The ultimate tensile strength values of TIG and FSW welding joints can reach 265 and 353 MPa at room temperature, and 342 and 438 MPa at ?196 °C, respectively. The base metal consists of elongated deformed grains and many nano-scaled θ (Al2Cu) aging precipitates. Fusion zone and heat-affected zone (HAZ) of the TIG joint are characterized by coarsening dendritic grains and equiaxed recrystallized grains, respectively. The FSW-welded joint consists of the weld nugget zone, thermo-mechanically affected zone (TMAZ), and HAZ. In the weld nugget zone, a micro-scaled sub-grain structure is the main microstructure characteristic. The TMAZ and HAZ are both characterized by coarsened aging precipitates and elongated deformed grains. The excellent FSW welding properties are attributed to the preservation of the working structures and homogenous chemical compositions.  相似文献

Al-Mg-Mn-Sc-Zr合金板材搅拌摩擦焊和氩弧焊焊接接头的对比   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
研究Al-Mg-Mn-Sc-Zr合金的焊接工艺和焊接接头组织和性能。采用搅拌摩擦焊(FSW)和氩弧焊(TIG)2种焊接工艺对该合金的热轧和冷轧-退火2种使用态板材进行焊接。采用比较研究的方法测定和研究焊接接头的力学性能和显微组织,利用光学显微镜和透射电子显微镜研究焊缝的显微组织和力学性能之间的关系。结果表明,与基材相比,Al-Mg-Mn-Sc-Zr合金的热轧和冷轧-退火板材的FSW和TIG焊接接头的强度均下降,但FSW焊接系数高于TIG焊接系数。这是因为FSW焊接接头焊核区亚结构强化的丧失和Al3(Sc,Zr)的析出强化作用的极少量丧失,而TIG焊焊接接头的软化主要原因是其形变强化的完全丧失和Al3(Sc,Zr)的析出强化作用的大部分丧失,且搅拌摩擦焊焊核区晶粒比TIG焊的焊缝区晶粒更细小。  相似文献

为了探索搅拌摩擦焊技术应用于氧化物弥散强化材料的可焊接性及其基本特点,文中对厚度为4 mm的氧化物弥散强化铜合金进行了焊接试验,并对焊接接头的宏观形貌、微观组织、显微维氏硬度进行了分析. 发现焊接接头横截面由搅拌区、热力影响区、热影响区和母材区4部分组成. 前进侧热影响区与热力影响区形成明显的分界线,后退侧则相对模糊. 搅拌区的组织为细小的等轴晶粒,出现了洋葱环和L线,热力影响区晶粒沿一定方向发生形变,热影响区组织粗化. 沿焊缝横截面的显微维氏硬度呈V形分布,其中搅拌区硬度值最低.  相似文献

通过对7A52铝合金进行大量的搅拌摩擦焊接试验,对焊缝的宏观组织、微观组织及显微硬度进行分析.焊缝可分为热影响区、热机影响区和焊核等三个区域.其中,焊核为明显的再结晶等轴晶粒,晶粒明显细化;热机影响区出现了晶粒粗化现象,由母材的细纤维组织变形为具有一定弧度的弯曲粗纤维组织;热影响区的晶粒与母材相似,但出现了晶粒粗化现象.沿焊缝横截面的显微硬度的分布呈高-低-高-低-高的趋势,其中焊缝顶部的硬度达到了母材的硬度,硬度最低处位于前进侧的热影响区区域.  相似文献

A new Al-5.8%Mg-0.4%Mn-0.25%Sc-0.10%Zr (wt.%) alloy was successfully welded by tungsten inert gas (TIG) and friction stir welding (FSW) techniques, respectively. The mechanical properties and microstructure of the welded joints were investigated by microhardness measurements, tensile tests, and microscopy methods. The results show that the ultimate tensile strength, yield strength, and elongation to failure are 358, 234 MPa, and 27.6% for TIG welded joint, and 376, 245 MPa and 31.9% for FSW joint, respectively, showing high strength and superior ductility. The TIG welded joint fails in the heat-affected zone and the fracture of FSW joint is located in stirred zone. Al-Mg-Mn-Sc-Zr alloy is characterized by lots of dislocation tangles and secondary coherent Al3(Sc,Zr) particles. The superior mechanical properties of the TIG and FSW joints are mainly derived from the Orowan strengthening and grain boundary strengthening caused by secondary coherent Al3(Sc,Zr) nano-particles (20-40 nm). For new Al-Mg-Mn-Sc-Zr alloy, the positive effect from secondary Al3(Sc, Zr) particles in the base metal can be better preserved in FSW joint than in TIG welded joint.  相似文献

采用搅拌摩擦焊工艺对3mm厚0Cr18Ni9不锈钢板进行了对接焊接。焊接接头内形成了焊核区、热力影响区和热影响区三个区域。焊核区由动态再结晶组织构成;热力影响区内的组织发生了不同程度的变形;热影响区由不完全再结晶组织构成。焊核区发生了明显的加工硬化现象,其显微硬度(HV)与母材相比提高了22%。在搅拌头旋转速度600r/min、焊接速度70mm/min下,接头的拉伸强度最高,达到412MPa。  相似文献

研究了采用不同焊接参数时ZL114A铸铝搅拌摩擦焊接头的金相组织、硬度分布及力学性能。结果表明,ZL114A铸铝的搅拌摩擦焊焊接性良好。焊核区的微观组织是无方向性的、细小的等轴晶粒。细化的硅粒子均匀布满整个焊核区。与粗大的树枝状母材相比,焊核晶粒细小、均匀而致密,没有观察到气孔等缺陷。焊缝区硬度分布较母材稳定,变化范围小。随着焊速增加,硅粒子所占体积比逐渐下降。热一机械影响区晶粒被拉长。接头的力学性能与焊接参数的匹配有关系。采用高焊速及转速与焊速比在3左右,获得的接头抗拉强度可达到母材的91%。焊后经T6热处理,可与同炉热处理母材等强。  相似文献

The microstructures and mechanical properties of 2219 aluminium alloy joints welded by variable polarity TIG welding in four kinds of different heat treatment conditions, namely, with/without pre-/post-weld heat treatment, were analysed and compared. The post-weld artificial aging treatment rendered fine dispersed precipitates (metastable θ′ phase) separate out of weld metal, which made the hardness of weld metal increase by ~20%. Meanwhile, the fracture location of joints during tensile test changed from weld zone to heat affected zone (HAZ). The pre-weld solution treatment reduced the overaging degree of HAZ and a large number of θ′ phase reprecipitated in HAZ after post-weld artificial aging treatment. Intermediate state welding, with pre-weld solution treatment and post-weld artificial aging treatment together, could increase 20% of the hardness of weld zone, increase 11.5% of the hardness of HAZ and increase 20.3% of the tensile strength of joint.  相似文献

组织分析表明,Al-Li-Cu TIG焊焊缝和搅拌摩擦焊焊核区均由等轴晶粒构成,但前者的晶粒尺寸较后者的大;TIG焊接头热影响区组织粗化程度较搅拌摩擦焊严重;搅拌摩擦焊接头内存在一独特的热机影响区,该区内的组织发生了较大程度的变形。实验结果表明铝锂合金搅拌摩擦焊可避免形成TIG焊时的凝固裂纹等缺陷。搅拌摩擦焊接头的力学性能优于TIG焊接头,二者的拉伸强度分别为393MPa和337MPa,延伸率分别为14.4%和6.6%。  相似文献

搅拌摩擦焊(FSW)是一种固态连接技术,可用来连接高强度铝合金及多种陶瓷颗粒增强金属基复合材料(MMCs)。搅拌摩擦焊获得的陶瓷增强金属基复合材料焊缝优良,在增强体与基体间没有发生有害反应。对搅拌摩擦焊接工艺参数对AA6061-B4C焊接接头抗拉强度的影响进行研究。采用4因素5水平的中心复合设计来控制实验的次数。构建一数学模型来分析搅拌摩擦焊工艺参数对接头抗拉强度的影响。结果表明,在旋转速度1000r/min、焊接速度1.3mm/s、轴向力10kN、增强相含量12%的条件下,搅拌摩擦焊得到的焊接接头的抗拉强度最大。根据构建的模型采用广义简约梯度算法进行优化以得到最大的抗拉强度。金相分析表明,在焊接接头中出现了多种区域,如焊合区、热力影响区和热影响区。在焊合区观察到大量的被细化的铝基体晶粒以及粒径明显减小的B4C颗粒。在热力影响区出现塑性变形、热影响和被拉长的铝晶粒。  相似文献

采用不同的焊接参数对3 mm厚7A04铝合金板进行焊接,并对接头的组织、沉淀相、力学性能及断口形貌进行了分析. 结果表明,焊核区组织发生动态再结晶,形成细小的等轴晶粒,热影响区晶粒发生明显粗化. TEM分析结果显示,经搅拌摩擦焊后,焊核区部分沉淀相溶解. 焊核区晶粒尺寸随焊接速度增大而减小. 当焊接速度为120 mm/min,旋转速度为800 r/min时,接头强度达到最大值 454.2 MPa,为母材的95%,断后伸长率为3.97%,为母材的70%. 硬度测试显示搅拌摩擦焊接头发生软化,焊缝区域硬度低于母材,硬度值最低点出现在热影响区;拉伸断口形貌SEM图像表明接头断裂方式为韧性和脆性混合型断裂.  相似文献

采用锥形带螺纹搅拌头搅拌摩擦焊接5mm厚的Al—Li合金轧制板材,并对接头组织、力学性能及断裂特性进行了研究.结果表明,焊核区组织发生动态再结晶,形成细小的等轴晶晶粒,在等轴晶的晶界处析出大量的偏析相.热影响区组织发生回复和粗化反应,形成粗大的棒状回复晶粒;热机影响区组织发生弯曲变形,但整体上仍保留带状组织形貌,前进侧热机影响区组织变形程度高于后退侧,该区同时还发生回复反应,且后退侧热机影响区内的回复晶粒数量多于前进侧.拉伸实验结果表明,焊接速度v=40mm/min时,接头强度达到最大值,为345MPa;v=60mm/min时,接头延伸率达到最大值,为9.6%.硬度测试结果表明,搅拌摩擦焊接头发生软化,前进侧的软化区宽度大于后退侧.断口形貌分析表明,接头断裂模式为韧-脆混合型断裂.  相似文献

Microstructural changes in friction-stir welding (FSW) of artificially aged AA2017 were investigated. First, FSW was performed with rotational and linear speeds of 800 rpm and 40 mm/min, respectively. Then, microstructural studies by means of optical metallography and electron microscopy were conducted in different regions of the welded plates. Hardness testing was also employed to determine local strength and subsequent natural aging progress after welding. The results indicate that the considerable hardness degradation occurs in the thermo-mechanically affected zone owing to coarsening of semi-coherent precipitates. Grain refinement also takes place in the weld nugget as a result of dynamic recrystallization and it results in a fine-grained structure with the mean grain size to 5 μm. On the other hand, the initial precipitate distribution is completely vanished in the weld nugget and instead, spherical-shaped particles are formed. Moreover, natural aging after FSW occurs in the welded sample and leads to considerable increase in the hardness of the weld nugget zone.  相似文献

研究了6N01-T5铝合金搅拌摩擦焊(FSW)和氩弧焊(MIG)接头不同部位的疲劳裂纹扩展性能, 并对疲劳断口和接头组织进行了分析. 结果表明,对于FSW和MIG焊接头, 其裂纹扩展速率从高到低的部位依次为焊缝(核)区、热影响区和母材. 裂纹在FSW和MIG焊接头相同区域的扩展速率无明显差别, 然而裂纹在FSW接头细晶组织中开始扩展所需的门槛值ΔK要比对应的MIG焊接头高, 总体上其裂纹在FSW焊核区的抗疲劳裂纹扩展性能要优于对应的MIG焊缝区. 裂纹在FSW和MIG焊接头焊核(缝)区扩展的疲劳断口表现为脆性断裂, 而在热影响区则以规则和光滑的疲劳条纹形式扩展.  相似文献

采用搅拌摩擦焊方法对8mm厚2219-T87铝合金进行了焊接.对接头的宏观形貌、微观组织、显微硬度及断口形貌进行了分析.结果表明,焊核区为细小的等轴晶粒,晶粒尺寸远小于母材;热机影响区发生了弯曲变形;热影响区组织出现了明显粗化.前进边热机影响区和焊核区形成明显分界线,后退边相对模糊.搅拌摩擦焊对接头各区域沉淀相分布形态有重要影响.接头室温拉伸强度可以达到母材的70%以上.沿焊缝横截面的显微硬度的分布显示,硬度最低点位于后退侧热影响区区域,断裂位置位于后退侧热影响区处,接头的断裂形式为韧性断裂.  相似文献

Friction stir welding (FSW) with water cooling and air cooling was used to weld 2219-T62 aluminum alloy joints with a thickness of 20 mm. The effect of cooling conditions on the corrosion resistance of joints in 3.5% NaCl solution was investigated using the open circuit potential (OCP), the potentiodynamic polarization, and the corrosion morphology after immersing for different time. And the precipitates distribution was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results reveal that the weld nugget zone (WNZ) owning positive potential, lower corrosion current density and fine and uniform precipitates, is much more difficult to corrode than the heat affected zone (HAZ) and the base metal (BM). Compared with air-cooled joint, the water-cooled joint has better corrosion resistance. In addition, the results of microstructure observation show that the potential, distribution and size of second phase particles determine the corrosion resistance of FSW AA2219 alloy joints in chlorine-contained solution.  相似文献

搅拌摩擦焊是一种新型的塑化连接工艺,对于用熔化焊方法难于焊接的有色金属,有着极大的应用潜力。本文针对我国航空航天工业中常用的MB8镁合金,试验研究了镁合金薄板的搅拌摩擦焊工艺,对焊缝的成形特点、接头组织特征及力学性能进行了分析探讨。结果表明,MB8镁合金塑化连接的接头外观成形良好,内部无气孔、裂纹,焊后焊件几乎无变形,接头性能可达到母材抗拉强度的76%。塑化连接接头由焊核和热影响区组成,焊核区是经历了动态再结晶的细小晶粒,热影响区的晶粒较粗大。  相似文献

对2219-O铝合金进行了搅拌摩擦焊接,采用光学显微镜分析了接头的微观组织,采用拉伸试验方法评价了接头的力学性能.微观分析表明,在热机循环的共同作用下,焊核区(WNZ)发生了动态再结晶,形成了细小的等轴晶粒,并且沉淀相的数量较其它各区有所增加;热机影响区(TMAZ)晶粒被拉长、弯曲,发生了动态回复和部分再结晶,晶粒内部开始有新的晶粒生成;热影响区(HAZ)的晶粒发生粗化.力学性能测试结果表明,当转速为800r/min,焊接速度为200~400 mm/min时,接头与母材等强度,断裂发生在母材区;当焊接速度大于400mm/min时,接头的抗拉强度很低,断裂发生在缺陷处.  相似文献

采用静轴肩搅拌摩擦焊接法(SSFSW)在不同的焊接速度下制备了2A14-T4铝合金T形接头。在优化的焊接工艺参数下,可以得到光滑的T形接头焊缝表面。结果表明:焊接熔核区(WNZ)的显微组织为完全动态再结晶产生的细小等轴晶,第2次焊核区(WNZ2)的平均晶粒尺寸最大,焊接重合区(WNOZ)次之,第1次焊核区(WNZ1)的平均晶粒尺寸最小。WNZ的再结晶机制主要是几何动态再结晶,并伴有部分连续动态再结晶。WNZ1和WNZ2织构类型为弱{111}<110>,而WNOZ经过2次搅拌后织构类型为弱{100}<001>。热机械影响区(TMAZ)发生塑性变形,而热影响区(HAZ)只受到焊接热循环作用,不发生塑性变形和晶粒的动态再结晶。WNZ的硬度较高,硬度最低的区域位于靠近TMAZ的HAZ。随着焊接速度的增加,接头抗拉伸强度先增大后减小。底板和加强板的主要断裂形式是脆性/韧性混合断裂。  相似文献

A friction stirring welding to joint 5 mm rolled AZ31 magnesium had been developed. The microstructures in various regions including the weld nugget, thermo-mechanically affected zone (TMAZ) and heat affected zone (HAZ) were investigated and compared with unaffected parent metal using optical microscopy. The results showed that the heat and mechanical process had great effect on the microstructure evolution. In weld nugget, the heat was enough to produce sufficient superplastic material flow and the mechanical effect was greatest, and the dynamic recrystallization was completed thoroughly. In TMAZ, the mechanical effect was indirectly affected by the welding tool and only some grains had undergone dynamic recrystallization. The various regious were studied in detail to better understand the microstructural evolution during friction stirring welding (FSW). The cross section near the ““““key hole““““ showed clear onion rings because the material was stirred only by the rotation of the probe and materials rotated with the probe and did not move along welding direction and in vertical direction, there was no material flow and the flow movement can be regarded as two dimensional layer flow.  相似文献
