利用COMSOL软件设计了一种基于S型Y分支SOI脊波导的石墨烯M-Z电光调制器,并对Y分支波导曲率半径、相位臂长度、芯层间距和输入输出直波导长度等结构参数对调制器的影响进行了分析.在此基础上对电光调制器的性能指标进行了计算和优化,最终设计出了3 dB带宽为143 GHz、消光比为15.05 dB的硅基石墨烯M-Z电光调制器.  相似文献

A new optimization routine for the design of integrated optic phase reversal traveling wave modulators is demonstrated. The positions of the microwave phase reversal are computed to give a flat frequency response over the required frequency range. Experimental results on a three section periodic phase reversal modulator exhibiting a 7.5-GHz bandpass response centered at 12.75 GHz and a peak phase shift of 0.725 rad at 11.5 GHz for 20-dBm microwave power are presented  相似文献

通过对基于相位调制的瞬时微波频率测量系统结构的分析,在Optisystem仿真软件平台上进行了详细的结构仿真和器件参数设定值分析。通过根据输入的不同载波波长得到的分段测量结果值,在总测量频程6~18GHz范围内,最低精度可达到0.1GHz,使得到的测量频率值相对于特定频段更具有代表性。通过检测输出端功率比,求得待测频率,实现了测量频程在6~11GHz时,测量精度总体约为0.5GHz;测量频程在11~15GHz时,测量精度总体约为0.2GHz;测量频程在15~18GHz时,测量精度总体约为0.1GHz。  相似文献

设计和制作了一种高速铌酸锂电光调制器。波导采用双Y定向耦合器型结构以提高线性度,同时能够提高工艺容差;电极采用CPW行波电极结构。通过分析比较不同相速匹配程度及微波损耗程度对电极系统带宽的影响,选择合适的设计参数及工艺参数,制作的调制器样品插入损耗为3dB,开关消光比为34dB,偏置电极半波电压为7V,行波电极半波电压为5.5V,电反射小于-10dB,6dB调制带宽约18GHz,可实现0~18GHz模拟调制。  相似文献

提出了一种基于光滑圆波导结构的高阶TEmn模圆极化器.运用耦合波理论和数值计算方法对93 GHz TE5,1模圆极化器进行了研究和设计.设计的圆极化器由过渡段和移相段组成,结构简单,易于实现.在88~98 GHz的频带内,最大轴比低于1.18.空间辐射测试结果证明了这种高阶圆极化器的性能.为高性能的低阶波导模式圆极化器的设计提供重要参考.  相似文献

Work towards a high-resolution multi-gigahertz sampling rate A/D converter is presented. A brief review of the overall architecture which consists of a coarse section and an interpolator section is given. Experiments on two designs for the coarse sections are discussed. One is a 6-bit A/D converter built with two-leaf phase tree periodic comparators. Asynchronous beat frequency tests at 2.01 GHz sampling rates indicate this circuit is capable of 6 bits of resolution at 2 GHz input bandwidth. The resolution falls off to about 5 bits at 4 GHz and 4 bits at 6 GHz. The other approach involves two related novel single threshold comparators with large dynamic range. For one of the comparators, dynamic range in excess of 60 db is demonstrated by transfer characteristic and input current noise measurements, while the other showed 54 db of dynamic range. A chain of 15 comparators based on one of the designs has been designed and tested. Asynchronous beat frequency tests at 2.01 GHz sampling rates show a monotonic response for input frequencies up to 8 GHz. Threshold offsets due to flux trapping limited the resolution in this set of experiments to about 5 bits. Experiments on a periodic interpolator circuit based on the two-leaf phase tree comparator are also presented. An equivalent circuit of a waveguide junction between two asymmetrically filled waveguides is obtained. This equivalent circuit is applied to the design of single-section impedance-matching transformers for a dielectric-slab-filled waveguide phase shifter. Calculation and measurement indicated that when a thin alumina slab is employed, a 360/spl deg/ phase shift can be accomplished in a section approximately 1.1 times the unloaded waveguide wavelength at 2.7 GHz, and that the VSWR between 2.7 and 3.0 GHz is kept to less than 1.15.  相似文献

Optical Time Division Multiplexing (OT-DM) is known to be capable of transmitting single channel high bit rate data stream with low speed electro-optical components. A cost-effective, compact and stable short time window with low insert loss, low phase noise, low timing-jitter and high speed performance is essential for ultrahigh speed OTDM systems using phase and amplitude modulation formats. In this paper, we review three promising methods to obtain 40 GHz short time window including Electro-Absorption Modulator ( EAM ), Dual-Parallel Mach-Zehnder Modulator (DPMZM) and Fiber Loop-Polarization Modulator (FL-PolM). Subpicosecond short pulse source generation, optical time division demultiplexing and clock recovery are realized respectively by using the short time window based on the three methods. By using DPMZM based pulse source and EAM based Clock Recovery (CR) and demultiplexer, error free transmission of 640 Gbit/s (160 Gbaud/s Pol-Mux DQPSK) single channel signal over 400 km single mode fiber is proven to be experimentally successful.  相似文献

在研究0.14 THz折叠波导行波管中,提出一种三段相速跳变的设计,使得电子能够在输出段与行波场发生速度再同步,从而提高了电子工作效率。根据色散公式,找到一种影响相速变化的结构因素。通过优化设计进行大信号程序计算,在电压14.95 kV、工作电流30 mA时,与未采用相速变化的结构相比,140 GHz时功率提高了0.84 W,效率提高了9.13%;在142 GHz时功率提高了0.88 W,效率提高了10.4%;-1 dB带宽由原来的5 GHz提高到7 GHz,扩展了行波管的带宽,提高了电子与波的互作用效率。  相似文献

高功率激光器的高速率外调制技术是空间光通信发射系统中的关键技术。系统采用光纤耦合的激光器, 有效减少了传输媒质对激光功率的损耗。为了获得大功率、高速率的激光调制信号, 采用1 mm光输入口径的铌酸钽晶体电光调制器进行光强度调制, 电光调制器的调制带宽为1 GHz, 调制方式选用外调制方式。为了保证了调制器工作在线性区域, 同时降低对电光调制器的驱动电压的要求, 系统采用了自动偏置控制技术。通过加正弦波和方波信号进行调制实验, 系统实现了激光器调制速率300 Mb/s, 输出功率100 mW的指标要求。  相似文献

The high-frequency electrical properties of a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser with a monolithically integrated electro-optical modulator are studied using small-signal modulation analysis of the electroreflectance. The experimental data obtained are approximated using the suggested equivalent electrical circuit, which accounts for the formation of a nonequilibrium space charge in the carrier-depletion region of the modulator. The bandwidth of the high-frequency electrical-signal transfer to the electro-optical region, determined for the suggested equivalent electrical circuit of the modulator, is shown to be 3GHz.  相似文献

综合孔径技术已被广泛应用于被动式毫米波成像.由于成像系统的电路需要对天线收到的电信号进行长时间的处理以得到足够多的数据来重建图像,因此成像速度慢是这种方法的主要限制.通过电光幅度调制技术把毫米波调制到激光载波上,带有图像信息的光信号通过光纤传输后再经过透镜可以直接成像.本文从原理上比较了新的电光成像系统和原系统的异同,对于提出的新系统,采用10GHz的微波调制信号,载波波长为1550nm的激光进行一维点源成像仿真.成像结果说明了新的电光系统可以得到含有源辐射强度和方向信息的图像,但由于光纤间距远大于光波长,图像的角度范围大大缩小.仿真结果说明新的成像系统可以快速成像,并且通过增加孔径个数可以提高图像的分辨率.  相似文献

A novel and successful stepped-impedance coupler with enhanced isolation is presented. By incorporating the distributed interdigital capacitance at the ends of the coupled section in the planar structure, the even- and odd-mode phase velocities can be equalised so as to enhance the isolation. Measured results show an enhanced isolation of 47.5 dB at the centre frequency 2.4 GHz and a size reduction of 30% when compared with the conventional parallel-line coupler. It is also shown that the coupling frequency flatness is as broadband as 3.1 GHz.  相似文献

为了消除基于光波元件分析仪的红外探 测器S参数测量中系统误差和电光调制器对测量结果的影响,提出了一种基 于12项误差系数的校准方法。在对电光调制器和红外探测 器的S参数进行建模的基础上,构建了测量系统的数据流图,并推 导出了红外探测器的S参数校准公式。在10 MHz~20 GHz范围 内对红外探测器的S21参数进行了测量。本 文算法所得的数据与经过计量的 N4375D型分析仪所测得的数据的皮尔逊积矩相关系数为0.997。结果表明,数据吻 合良好,进而验证了本文算法的正确性。  相似文献

Optical labeling via frequency-shift keying (FSK) modulation capability of a grating-assisted codirectional coupler with sampled grating reflector laser is investigated for the first time. FSK modulation can be best implemented with only the phase section current and optical frequency deviation of 20 GHz is achieved. The measured frequency modulation response indicates the limitation of the maximum modulation rate is sufficient for Internet protocol packet optical labeling.  相似文献

Optical microwave sources are required in optical signal processing. Amplified feedback laser (AFL) which can generate high frequency self-pulsation due to compound cavity modes beating are used as optical microwave sources. In this paper, we fabricate a four-section AFL consisted of a different distribute feedback (DFB) section, a phase control section, an amplifier section, and a transparent section. This AFL generate continuously tunable microwave in the range 19.87–26.30 GHz with 3 dB linewidth about 3 MHz. Microwave with narrow linewidth is obtained by injecting quarter frequency modulated light experimentally.  相似文献

A comparison of wideband communication characteristics for five different geometrical configurations of corridors at 57.5 GHz is investigated. Shooting and bouncing/image techniques are applied to compute the impulse responses for: (i) the straight shape corridor with rectangular cross section (ii) the straight shape corridor with arched cross section (iii) the curved shape corridor with rectangular cross section (iv) the curved shape corridor with arched cross section and (v) the L-shape corridors. By using the impulse responses of these multipath channels, the outage probabilities for high-speed BPSK (binary phase shift keying) systems with phase and timing recovery circuits are calculated. Numerical results show that the outage probability for the L-shape corridor is the largest among all the five configurations being studied. Also, the outage probabilities for the arched cross section corridors are smaller than those for the rectangular cross section corridors regardless of the shapes. In addition, the effect of space antenna diversity techniques on mitigating the multipath fading is also investigated. Finally, it is with noting that in these cases the present work provides not only comparative information but also a quantitative information on the performance reduction.  相似文献

高速电光调制器是宽带光通信网络和微波光子系统中的关键元器件之一。相对于体材料铌酸锂而言,薄膜铌酸锂材料由于其较强的光场限制能力,在构建小尺寸、宽带、低半波电压的高性能电光调制芯片上有独特的优势。文章基于薄膜铌酸锂材料研制了一种3 dB带宽不低于50 GHz的电光调制芯片,并采用光纤与波导水平端面耦合的光学封装方案和基于1.85 mm同轴接头的射频封装方案,实现了全封装的薄膜铌酸锂电光调制器。测量结果表明,封装后器件的光学插入损耗小于等于5 dB,3 dB带宽大于等于40 GHz,射频半波电压小于等于3 V@1 GHz。  相似文献
