Conclusions By calcining Lis'egorsk dolomite in a rotary furnace by the dry method (0–25 mm fraction) with 3–3.5%clinker we obtained high-grade dolomite powder with an apparent density of 3.3 g/cm3.Industrial tests of the burned dolomite showed that it is suitable as a fettling material for open-hearth furnaces.  相似文献

Conclusions The East Institute of Refractories has developed an effective method of using oxygen for burning the fuel in rotary kilns used for calcining refractory raw materials. The essence of the method consists in feeding oxygen and gas into the combustion chamber in the form of separate jets flowing from the nozzles at sonic and supersonic velocities and aimed at the material being fired.The proposed method is being introduced on rotary kilns for firing dolomite at the Chelyabinsk Factory, as a result of which there has been a big boost in the furnace output, a fall in the specific fuel consumption and dust removal, and also improvements in the quality of the fired powder. Summary Cellular heat exchangers built into the furnace enabled the specific fuel consumption to be reduced and the output of the rotary furnace to be increased, but there was an accompanying increase in dust removal.Boiler-utilizers are an effective means of reducing the temperature of flue gases and of increasing the thermal efficiency of the furnace. The wear of the boiler pipes is very low.Experience with boiler-utilizers showed that it is possible to operate them normally even when the flue gases contain a lot of dust.To obtain highly effective and steady working conditions in existing and newly erected electric filters, it is necessary for the Magnesit plant to investigate the composition and physical parameters of the flue gases and the properties of the magnesite dust, and to develop an optimum working cycle for the electric filters.  相似文献

Conclusions A rotary furnace, diameter 4.5 and length 170 m, (ratio of length to diameter 37.5 1) used for firing magnesite showed a number of advantages over furnaces with ratios of length to diameter of 251, 201. We should mention the high quality of the firing of metallurgical powder (reduction in porosity), the low consumption coefficient for raw material and specific consumption of fuel, and the low temperature of the flue gases compared with other furnaces used for firing magnesite.Translated from Ogneupory, No.1, pp.5–8, January, 1967.  相似文献

Experimental and theoretical investigations of the operation of high-temperature shaft furnaces for firing natural magnesite are described. It is established that due to imperfect mixing of natural gas with primary and secondary air in the furnace about 20% of the fuel does not participate in the combustion process. The prospects for developing and installing technical solutions aimed at increasing the homogeneity of the distribution of the gaseous phase components over the furnace cross-section are studied.
