Zipf’s and Bradford’s laws and universal models

Zipf’s and Bradford’s laws are empirical laws that were derived by the processing and analysis of so-called rank distributions. In this paper, they are treated as special cases of generalized (universal) continuous distributions that can accurately describe a wide variety of statistical distributions, including rank. We present the universal laws of the diffusion and aging of publications.
