Nuvera gasoline reformer achieves DOE targets

US/Italian-based Nuvera Fuel Cells reports that its STAR? fuel processor has successfully completed acceptance testing at the Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) in Illinois. The reformer technology, which is being developed in conjunction with the Department of Energy as part of the US government's FreedomCAR and Hydrogen Fuel Initiative programs, met or exceeded performance requirements for system size, power, efficiency and gas purity needed for PEM fuel cells.
