The differential scattering cross section in electron energy loss near edge spectroscopy (ELNES) generally depends on the orientation of the Q wave vector transferred from the incident electron to an atomic core electron. In the case where the excited atom belongs to a threefold, fourfold or sixfold main rotation axis, the dipole cross section depends on the angle of Q with respect to this axis. In this paper, we restrict to this situation called dichroism. Furthermore, if we take into account the relativistic effects due to the high incident electron velocity, this dipole cross section also depends on the angle of Q with respect to the electron beam axis. It is due to these dependences that the shape of measured electron energy loss spectra varies with the electron beam incidence, the collector aperture, the incident beam convergence and the incident electron energy. The existence of a particular beam incidence angle for which the scattering cross section becomes independent of collection and beam convergence semi-angles is clearly underscored. Conversely, it is shown that EELS spectra do not depend on the beam incidence angle for a set of particular values of collection and convergence semi-angles. Particularly, in the case of a parallel incident beam, there is a collection semi-angle (often called magic angle) for which the cross section becomes independent of the beam orientation. This magic angle depends on the incident beam kinetic energy. If the incident electron velocity V is small compared with the light velocity c, this magic angle is about 3.975theta(E) (theta(E) is the scattering angle). It decreases to 0 when V approaches c. These results are illustrated in the case of the K boron edge in the boron nitride.  相似文献

通过直接求解均匀薄壁梁单元弯扭耦合振动的运动偏微分方程,推导其自由振动时的精确动态传递矩阵。采用考虑翘曲影响的Bernoulli-Euler梁理论,且假定薄壁梁单元的横截面是单对称的。动态传递矩阵可以用于计算薄壁梁集合体的精确固有频率和模态形状。针对两个薄壁梁算例,采用自动Muller法和结合频率扫描法的二分法求解频率特征方程,并讨论翘曲刚度对弯扭耦合:Bernoulli-Euler薄壁梁固有频率的影响。数值结果验证了本文方法的精确性和有效性,并指出翘曲刚度可以显著改变薄壁开口截面梁的固有频率。  相似文献

测量了横梁系统在车身安装状态下的固有振动特性,并通过有限元计算得出横梁系统的模态参数,结果确定了横梁系统刚度较差的原因与横梁骨架和车身前围板刚度不足有关;然后基于有限元模型分析了横梁系统主要零件的板厚对固有频率、质量的灵敏度,发现不同零件对横梁系统的固有频率和质量影响程度存在差异;最后在OptiStruct中建立数学模型并优化零件板厚,使横梁系统总质量、固有频率和刚度之间得到了较好的平衡,改善了横梁系统的固有振动特性。  相似文献

The design features of the electron accelerator with a large-area 200-keV beam and results of its investigation are described. The accelerator is based on a set of discrete longitudinal filament cathodes and operates in the continuous mode. The cross section of the beam extracted into the atmosphere is 40 × 50 cm2, and the maximal current density of the extracted electron beam is up to 100 μA/cm2. The nonuniformity of the current density distribution over the electron beam cross section is 10% or less.  相似文献

The current research of wheel force transducer (WFT) mainly focuses on test signal processing and decoupling methods based on signal itself, while the WFT structure optimization research related to decreasing the mass and increase the natural frequency and comprehensive sensitivity is not enough. In order to improve the WFT test accuracy, a structure optimization method based on natural frequency and comprehensive sensitivity indicators is put forward. The WFT with 8-beam elastic body is used for the finite element modeling (FEM), in which the following variations are taken into consideration: the connection type of elastic body with modified rim, the number of connection holes, and the respects of strain beam including the shape, the cross sectional area and the length, etc.. The test results shows that the natural frequency of the connecting block type is increased by 65.5% compared with the connecting seat type of elastic body & modified rim, and the main channel sensitivity is improved as well. The results show that the connecting block type will achieve the best comprehensive performance when the number of connecting holes between the elastic body and the modified rim is 20. And the thinner and longer strain beam with smaller cross section area is preferable within the scope of elastic body mechanical strength. This research proposes a novel structure optimization method for WFT which contributes to improve the measurement performance of WFT.  相似文献

Previous attempts to calculate the amount of force a given shaft seal will exert on a shaft have, in general, considered an oversimplified model. The radial loading was assumed to consist of two separate forces which are additive. A beam force is obtained by considering the seal section as a straight uniform beam, and a stretch force is calculated as a separate unrelated phenomenon. A model is introduced that considers the seal as a cantilever beam of non-uniform cross section with local stretch forces included as local beam loadings. The beam forces and stretch forces are thus seen to be intimately related phenomenon. The resulting differential equation has been solved numerically using a method of invariant embedding. The radial loads and seal deflection curves have been obtained and compared to experimental data.  相似文献

A ribbon diode of a U-2 accelerator (800 kV, ∼30 kA) intended for generating a high-intensity electron beam for heating plasma in a GOL-3 multimirror magnetic trap (Budker Institute of Nuclear Physics, Siberian Branch, Russian Academy of Sciences) is described. The parameters of the beam characterized by a high brightness (∼7 kA/(cm2 sr)) in a magnetic field of ∼5 T resulting from a numerical simulation of the beam formation process are presented. The results of simulation of the beam transport and transformation of the profile of its cross section during movement of electrons in a curvilinear guiding magnetic field are presented. A method is presented to determine the total scattering cross section of imaging gases used in low‐vacuum scanning electron microscopy or environmental scanning electron microscopy. Experimental results are presented for water vapor, nitrogen gas and ambient air for primary beam electron energies between 5 and 30 keV. The measured results are compared and discussed with calculated values. This method allows the effective beam gas path length (BGPL) to be determined. This paper presents an analytical method for the application of piezoelectric patches for the repair of cracked beams subjected to a moving mass. The beam equations of motion are obtained based on the Timoshenko beam theory by including the dynamic effect of a moving mass traveling along a vibrating path. The criterion used for the repair is altering the first natural frequency of the cracked beam towards that of the healthy beam using a piezoelectric patch. Conceptually, an external voltage is applied to actuate a piezoelectric patch bonded on the beam. This affects the closure of the crack so that the singularity induced by the crack tip will be decreased. The equations of motion are discretized by using the assumed modes method. The cracked beam is modeled as number of segments connected by two massless springs at the crack locations (one, extensional and the other, rotational). The relationships between any two spans can be obtained by considering the compatibility requirements on the crack section and on the ends of the piezoelectric patch. Using the analytical transfer matrix method, eigensolutions of the system can be calculated explicitly. Finally, numerical simulations are performed with respect to different conditions such as the moving load velocity. It is seen that when the piezoelectric patch is used, the maximum deflection of the cracked beam approaches maximum deflection of the healthy beam.  相似文献

An electromagnetic device, acting like a spring with alternating stiffness, has been designed to parametrically excite the cantilever beam transversely in the laboratory. It showed good potential for the experimental investigation of linear parametric system. Therefore, experiments for the natural frequency, the response (both free and forced) spectra and frequency response characteristics of a cantilever beam under electromagnetic excitation, are, respectively, conducted to study the dynamic characteristics of linear parametrically excited system. The vibrational model of the cantilever beam system is established using the assumed mode method. Theoretical results, related to the natural frequency, response spectra and external resonant condition, are presented to verify the experimental results. It is shown that the dynamic characteristics of linear time-periodic system do have some typical features, which differ distinctly from that of the linear time-invariant system.  相似文献

The described generator produces a wide-aperture flow of charged plasma particles (electrons, positive and negative ions) with a cross-sectional diameter of at least 120 cm, which propagates to a distance of 50 cm or more (depending on the operating mode and the geometric dimensions of the vacuum chamber). The uniform distribution of charged particles in the cross section of the plasma flow is at least 98%. The discharge current reaches 1 A or more at an accelerating voltage of 0.3–6 kV. The energy of particles in the plasma flow under such conditions was 10–6000 eV at current densities of up to 10 mA/cm2. The generator structure contains coaxially positioned meshes of the anode grid and the cathode grid. The latter closes the cavity inside the cathode volume at a depth of 3–5 mean free paths of electrons in the gas-discharge plasma flow. The cathode is manufactured so that the cavity diameter exceeds the diameter of the through cavity in the cathode insulation, the latter being determined by the size of the plasma-flow cross section. The distance between the grid anode and the cathode grid is equal to the Aston dark space of a glow discharge, thus permitting the cathode lifetime to be increased to 3 years. It is shown that the duration of the cathode continuous operation is determined by the chosen values of its cavity depth and accelerating voltage.  相似文献

为了提升压电悬臂梁采集振动能量的能力,研究了一种具有多频振动响应的振动能量采集器。在压电悬臂梁与振动激励源之间增加一个附加梁,压电悬臂梁和附加梁的末端分别安装一个质量块,压电悬臂梁和附加梁垂直连接。附加梁的末端质量被设计为远大于压电梁的末端质量,而压电梁的一阶谐振频率在附加梁的前两阶谐振频率之间。采用该设计,压电悬臂梁的振动响应是多个谐振频带的叠加。通过建立机电解析模型,描述了所提出的振动能量采集器的振动响应和发电特性,同时制作了一个振动能量采集器样机进行试验,结果表明,与传统的悬臂梁振动能量采集器相比,所提出的振动能量采集器可以在更宽的频带范围内采集更多的振动能量。  相似文献

The contribution describes the implementation of a broad ion beam (BIB) polisher into a scanning electron microscope (SEM) functioning at cryogenic temperature (cryo). The whole system (BIB‐cryo‐SEM) provides a first generation of a novel multibeam electron microscope that combines broad ion beam with cryogenic facilities in a conventional SEM to produce large, high‐quality cross‐sections (up to 2 mm2) at cryogenic temperature to be imaged at the state‐of‐the‐art SEM resolution. Cryogenic method allows detecting fluids in their natural environment and preserves samples against desiccation and dehydration, which may damage natural microstructures. The investigation of microstructures in the third dimension is enabled by serial cross‐sectioning, providing broad ion beam tomography with slices down to 350 nm thick. The functionalities of the BIB‐cryo‐SEM are demonstrated by the investigation of rock salts (synthetic coarse‐grained sodium chloride synthesized from halite‐brine mush cold pressed at 150 MPa and 4.5 GPa, and natural rock salt mylonite from a salt glacier at Qom Kuh, central Iran). In addition, results from BIB‐cryo‐SEM on a gas shale and Boom Clay are also presented to show that the instrument is suitable for a large range of sedimentary rocks. For the first time, pore and grain fabrics of preserved host and reservoir rocks can be investigated at nm‐scale range over a representative elementary area. In comparison with the complementary and overlapping performances of the BIB‐SEM method with focused ion beam‐SEM and X‐ray tomography methods, the BIB cross‐sectioning enables detailed insights about morphologies of pores at greater resolution than X‐ray tomography and allows the production of large representative surfaces suitable for FIB‐SEM investigations of a specific representative site within the BIB cross‐section.  相似文献

A large pulsed-beam, Fourier transform microwave spectrometer employing 48 in. diameter mirrors and 35(") (NHS-35) diffusion pump has been constructed at the University of Arizona. The Fabry-Perot-type cavity, using the large mirrors provides Q-values in the 15,000 to 40,000 range. Test spectra were obtained using transverse and coaxial injection of the pulsed-nozzle molecular beams. The measured molecular resonance linewidths were 8 kHz for the transverse injection and 2 kHz for coaxial molecular beam injection. Good signal to noise ratios were obtained for the test signals. Strong lines for butadiene iron tricarbonyl were seen with a single beam pulse (S/N = 5/1). Transitions were measured as low as 900 MHz and some previously unresolved hyperfine structure is now resolved for the butadiene iron tricarbonyl spectra. The spectrometer is operated using a personal computer with LABVIEW programs, with provisions for automatic frequency scanning. The extended, low-frequency range of this spectrometer should make it very useful for making measurements on significantly larger molecules and complexes than have been previously studied. The improved resolution, in the coaxial beam mode, will allow better resolution of hyperfine structure. The large diffusion pump allows a higher beam pulse frequency to compensate for the generally lower sensitivity at lower frequencies.  相似文献

研究受有多点横向非定常约束梁的动态响应问题。利用横向非定常约束为周期函数梁的微分代数方程的线性特点,确定出多基频周期性非定常约束激励下梁稳态响应的解析解;利用截断模态的微分代数方程确定出受有横向非定常约束梁的瞬态响应。为此,首先利用无阻尼截断模态微分代数方程的齐次形式,将欧拉-伯努利梁的等效多跨梁模态表示为简单边界条件下模态函数的线性组合,再利用得到的模态函数与位移影响函数重新将微分代数方程表示为常微分方程的形式,进而得到横向非定常约束作用下梁的瞬态响应解的积分形式。在此过程中,研究了微分代数方程齐次式的特征值及其数量、求解方法等相关问题。通过单点多频率的横向非定常约束作用的梁及多点单频横向非定常约束作用梁的算例,重点分析了非定常约束位置与基频对梁稳态响应的影响。结果表明:在欠阻尼下,两种梁模态响应的极大值均在等效多跨梁的各个主频附近;单点横向非定常约束作用响应极小值在简单边界条件梁的各个主频附近,而多点横向非定常约束作用梁响应极小值的分布比较复杂。算例也说明了所提出的方法是正确、有效的。  相似文献

Frequency error based identification of cracks in beam-like structures   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
A crack identification method of a single edge cracked beam-like structure by the use of a frequency error function is presented in this paper. First, the dynamic theory of Euler-Bernoulli beams was employed to derive the equation of the natural frequency for a single edge cracked cantilever beam-like structure. Subsequently, the cracked section of the beam was simulated by a torsional spring. The flexibility model of the torsional spring due to the crack was estimated by fracture mechanics and energy theory. Thereafter, a function model was proposed for crack identification by using the error between the measured natural frequencies and the predicted natural frequencies. In this manner, the crack depth and crack position can be determined when the total error reaches a minimum value. Finally, the accuracy of the natural frequency equation and the viabilty of the crack identification method were verified in the case studies by the measured natural frequencies from the literature. Results indicate that the first two predicted natural frequencies are in good agreement with the measured ones. However, the third predicted natural frequency is smaller than the measured natural frequency. In the case of small measured frequency errors, the predicted crack parameters are in good agreement with the measured crack parameters. However, in the case of large measured frequency errors, the predicted crack parameters only give roughly estimated results.  相似文献
