Maricite NaFePO4 nanodots with minimized sizes (≈1.6 nm) uniformly embedded in porous N‐doped carbon nanofibers (designated as NaFePO4@C) are first prepared by electrospinning for maximized Na‐storage performance. The obtained flexible NaFePO4@C fiber membrane adherent on aluminum foil is directly used as binder‐free cathode for sodium‐ion batteries, revealing that the ultrasmall nanosize effect as well as a high‐potential desodiation process can transform the generally perceived electrochemically inactive maricite NaFePO4 into a highly active amorphous phase; meanwhile, remarkable electrochemical performance in terms of high reversible capacity (145 mA h g?1 at 0.2 C), high rate capability (61 mA h g?1 at 50 C), and unprecedentedly high cyclic stability (≈89% capacity retention over 6300 cycles) is achieved. Furthermore, the soft package Na‐ion full battery constructed by the NaFePO4@C nanofibers cathode and the pure carbon nanofibers anode displays a promising energy density of 168.1 Wh kg?1 and a notable capacity retention of 87% after 200 cycles. The distinctive 3D network structure of very fine NaFePO4 nanoparticles homogeneously encapsulated in interconnected porous N‐doped carbon nanofibers, can effectively improve the active materials' utilization rate, facilitate the electrons/Na+ ions transport, and strengthen the electrode stability upon prolonged cycling, leading to the fascinating Na‐storage performance.  相似文献

A sodium‐ion battery operating at room temperature is of great interest for large‐scale stationary energy storage because of its intrinsic cost advantage. However, the development of a high capacity cathode with high energy density remains a great challenge. In this work, sodium super ionic conductor‐structured Na3V2?xCrx(PO4)3 is achieved through the sol–gel method; Na3V1.5Cr0.5(PO4)3 is demonstrated to have a capacity of 150 mAh g?1 with reversible three‐electron redox reactions after insertion of a Na+, consistent with the redox couples of V2+/3+, V3+/4+, and V4+/5+. Moreover, a symmetric sodium‐ion full cell utilizing Na3V1.5Cr0.5(PO4)3 as both the cathode and anode exhibits an excellent rate capability and cyclability with a capacity of 70 mAh g?1 at 1 A g?1. Ex situ X‐ray diffraction analysis and in situ impedance measurements are performed to reveal the sodium storage mechanism and the structural evolution during cycling.  相似文献

Sodium‐ion hybrid supercapacitors (Na‐HSCs) have potential for mid‐ to large‐scale energy storage applications because of their high energy/power densities, long cycle life, and the low cost of sodium. However, one of the obstacles to developing Na‐HSCs is the imbalance of kinetics from different charge storage mechanisms between the sluggish faradaic anode and the rapid non‐faradaic capacitive cathode. Thus, to develop high‐power Na‐HSC anode materials, this paper presents the facile synthesis of nanocomposites comprising Nb2O5@Carbon core–shell nanoparticles (Nb2O5@C NPs) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO), and an analysis of their electrochemical performance with respect to various weight ratios of Nb2O5@C NPs to rGO (e.g., Nb2O5@C, Nb2O5@C/rGO‐70, ‐50, and ‐30). In a Na half‐cell configuration, the Nb2O5@C/rGO‐50 shows highly reversible capacity of ≈285 mA h g?1 at 0.025 A g?1 in the potential range of 0.01–3.0 V (vs Na/Na+). In addition, the Na‐HSC using the Nb2O5@C/rGO‐50 anode and activated carbon (MSP‐20) cathode delivers high energy/power densities (≈76 W h kg?1 and ≈20 800 W kg?1) with a stable cycle life in the potential range of 1.0–4.3 V. The energy and power densities of the Na‐HSC developed in this study are higher than those of similar Li‐ and Na‐HSCs previously reported.  相似文献

2D MXenes have been widely applied in the field of electrochemical energy storage owning to their high electrical conductivity and large redox‐active surface area. However, electrodes made from multilayered MXene with small interlayer spacing exhibit sluggish kinetics with low capacity for sodium‐ion storage. Herein, Ti3C2 MXene with expanded and engineered interlayer spacing for excellent storage capability is demonstrated. After cetyltrimethylammonium bromide pretreatment, S atoms are successfully intercalated into the interlayer of Ti3C2 to form a desirable interlayer‐expanded structure via Ti? S bonding, while pristine Ti3C2 is hardly to be intercalated. When the annealing temperature is 450 °C, the S atoms intercalated Ti3C2 (CT‐S@Ti3C2‐450) electrode delivers the improved Na‐ion capacity of 550 mAh g?1 at 0.1 A g?1 (≈120 mAh g?1 at 15 A g?1, the best MXene‐based Na+‐storage rate performance reported so far), and excellent cycling stability over 5000 cycles at 10 A g?1 by enhanced pseudocapacitance. The enhanced sodium‐ion storage capability has also been verified by theoretical calculations and kinetic analysis. Coupling the CT‐S@Ti3C2‐450 anode with commercial AC cathode, the assembled Na+ capacitor delivers high energy density (263.2 Wh kg?1) under high power density (8240 W kg?1), and outstanding cycling performance.  相似文献

Batteries and supercapacitors are critical devices for electrical energy storage with wide applications from portable electronics to transportation and grid. However, rechargeable batteries are typically limited in power density, while supercapacitors suffer low energy density. Here, a novel symmetric Na‐ion pseudocapacitor with a power density exceeding 5.4 kW kg?1 at 11.7 A g?1, a cycling life retention of 64.5% after 10 000 cycles at 1.17 A g?1, and an energy density of 26 Wh kg?1 at 0.585 A g?1 is reported. Such a device operates on redox reactions occurring on both electrodes with an identical active material, viz., Na3V2(PO4)3 encapsulated inside nanoporous carbon. This device, in a full‐cell scale utilizing highly reversible and high‐rate Na‐ion intercalational pseudocapacitance, can bridge the performance gap between batteries and supercapacitors. The characteristics of the device and the potentially low‐cost production make it attractive for hybrid electric vehicles and low‐maintenance energy storage systems.  相似文献

Potassium‐ion batteries have been regarded as the potential alternatives to lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) due to the low cost, earth abundance, and low potential of K (?2.936 vs standard hydrogen electrode (SHE)). However, the lack of low‐cost cathodes with high energy density and long cycle life always limits its application. In this work, high‐energy layered P2‐type hierarchical K0.65Fe0.5Mn0.5O2 (P2‐KFMO) microspheres, assembled by the primary nanoparticles, are fabricated via a modified solvent‐thermal method. Benefiting from the unique microspheres with primary nanoparticles, the K+ intercalation/deintercalation kinetics of P2‐KFMO is greatly enhanced with a stabilized cathodic electrolyte interphase on the cathode. The P2‐KFMO microsphere presents a highly reversible potassium storage capacity of 151 mAh g?1 at 20 mA g?1, fast rate capability of 103 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1, and long cycling stability with 78% capacity retention after 350 cycles. A full cell with P2‐KFMO microspheres as cathode and hard carbon as anode is constructed, which exhibits long‐term cycling stability (>80% of retention after 100 cycles). The present high‐performance P2‐KFMO microsphere cathode synthesized using earth‐abundant elements provides a new cost‐effective alternative to LIBs for large‐scale energy storage.  相似文献

Hybrid metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) demonstrate great promise as ideal electrode materials for energy‐related applications. Herein, a well‐organized interleaved composite of graphene‐like nanosheets embedded with MnO2 nanoparticles (MnO2@C‐NS) using a manganese‐based MOF and employed as a promising anode material for Li‐ion hybrid capacitor (LIHC) is engineered. This unique hybrid architecture shows intriguing electrochemical properties including high reversible specific capacity 1054 mAh g?1 (close to the theoretical capacity of MnO2, 1232 mAh g?1) at 0.1 A g?1 with remarkable rate capability and cyclic stability (90% over 1000 cycles). Such a remarkable performance may be assigned to the hierarchical porous ultrathin carbon nanosheets and tightly attached MnO2 nanoparticles, which provide structural stability and low contact resistance during repetitive lithiation/delithiation processes. Moreover, a novel LIHC is assembled using a MnO2@C‐NS anode and MOF derived ultrathin nanoporous carbon nanosheets (derived from other potassium‐based MOFs) cathode materials. The LIHC full‐cell delivers an ultrahigh specific energy of 166 Wh kg?1 at 550 W kg?1 and maintained to 49.2 Wh kg?1 even at high specific power of 3.5 kW kg?1 as well as long cycling stability (91% over 5000 cycles). This work opens new opportunities for designing advanced MOF derived electrodes for next‐generation energy storage devices.  相似文献

Herein, Ti4+ in P′2‐Na0.67[(Mn0.78Fe0.22)0.9Ti0.1]O2 is proposed as a new strategy for optimization of Mn‐based cathode materials for sodium‐ion batteries, which enables a single phase reaction during de‐/sodiation. The approach is to utilize the stronger Ti–O bond in the transition metal layers that can suppress the movements of Mn–O and Fe–O by sharing the oxygen with Ti by the sequence of Mn–O–Ti–O–Fe. It delivers a discharge capacity of ≈180 mAh g?1 over 200 cycles (86% retention), with S‐shaped smooth charge–discharge curves associated with a small volume change during cycling. The single phase reaction with a small volume change is further confirmed by operando synchrotron X‐ray diffraction. The low activation barrier energy of ≈541 meV for Na+ diffusion is predicted using first‐principles calculations. As a result, Na0.67[(Mn0.78Fe0.22)0.9Ti0.1]O2 can deliver a high reversible capacity of ≈153 mAh g?1 even at 5C (1.3 A g?1), which corresponds to ≈85% of the capacity at 0.1C (26 mA g?1). The nature of the sodium storage mechanism governing the ultrahigh electrode performance in a full cell with a hard carbon anode is elucidated, revealing the excellent cyclability and good retention (≈80%) for 500 cycles (111 mAh g?1) at 5C (1.3 A g?1).  相似文献

Dark‐colored rutile TiO2 nanorods doped by electroconducting Ti3+ have been obtained uniformly with an average diameter of ≈7 nm, and have been first utilized as anodes in lithium‐ion batteries. They deliver a high reversible specific capacity of 185.7 mAh g?1 at 0.2 C (33.6 mA g?1) and maintain 92.1 mAh g?1 after 1000 cycles at an extremely high rate 50 C with an outstanding retention of 98.4%. Notably, the coulombic efficiency of Ti3+–TiO2 has been improved by approximately 10% compared with that of pristine rutile TiO2, which can be mainly attributed to its prompt electron transfer because of the introduction of Ti3+. Again the synergetic merits are noticed when the promoted electronic conductivity is combined with a shortened Li+ diffusion length resulting from the ultrafine nanorod structure, giving rise to the remarkable rate capabilities and extraordinary cycling stabilities for applications in fast and durable charge/discharge batteries. It is of great significance to incorporate Ti3+ into rutile TiO2 to exhibit particular electrochemical characteristics triggering an effective way to improve the energy storage properties.  相似文献

Transition metal phosphides (TMPs) possess high theoretical sodium storage capacities, but suffer from poor rate performance, due to their intrinsic low conductivity and large volume expansion upon sodiation/desodiation. Compositing TMPs with carbon materials or downsizing their feature size are recognized as efficient approaches to address the above issues. Nevertheless the surface‐controlled capacitive behavior is generally dominated, which inevitably compromises the charge/discharge platform, and decreases the operational potential window in full‐cell constructions. In this work, a novel architecture (FeP@OCF) with FeP quantum dots confined in P‐doped 3D octahedral carbon framework/carbon nanotube is rationally designed. Such structure enables a simultaneous enhancement on the diffusion‐controlled capacity in the platform region (2.3 folds), and the surface‐controlled capacity in the slope region (2.9 folds) as compared to that of pure FeP. As a result, an excellent reversible capacity (674 mAh g?1@ 0.1 A g?1) and a record high‐rate performance (262 mAh g?1 @ 20 A g?1) are achieved. A full‐cell FeP@OCF// Na3V2(PO4)3 is also constructed showing an outstandingly high energy density of 185 Wh kg?1 (based on the total mass of active materials in both electrodes), which outperforms the state‐of‐the art TMP‐based sodium‐ion battery full cells.  相似文献

Organic redox‐active molecules are inborn electrodes to store large‐radius potassium (K) ion. High‐performance organic cathodes are important for practical usage of organic potassium‐ion batteries (OPIBs). However, small‐molecule organic cathodes face serious dissolution problems against liquid electrolytes. A novel insoluble small‐molecule organic cathode [N,N′‐bis(2‐anthraquinone)]‐perylene‐3,4,9,10‐tetracarboxydiimide (PTCDI‐DAQ, 200 mAh g?1) is initially designed for OPIBs. In half cells (1–3.8 V vs K+/K) using 1 m KPF6 in dimethoxyethane (DME), PTCDI‐DAQ delivers a highly stable specific capacity of 216 mAh g?1 and still holds the value of 133 mAh g?1 at an ultrahigh current density of 20 A g?1 (100 C). Using reduced potassium terephthalate (K4TP) as the organic anode, the resulting K4TP||PTCDI‐DAQ OPIBs with the electrolyte 1 m KPF6 in DME realize a high energy density of maximum 295 Wh kg?1cathode (213 mAh g?1cathode × 1.38 V) and power density of 13 800 W Kg?1cathode (94 mAh g?1 × 1.38 V @ 10 A g?1) during the working voltage of 0.2–3.2 V. Meanwhile, K4TP||PTCDI‐DAQ OPIBs fulfill the superlong lifespan with a stable discharge capacity of 62 mAh g?1cathode after 10 000 cycles and 40 mAh g?1cathode after 30 000 cycles (3 A g?1). The integrated performance of PTCDI‐DAQ can currently defeat any cathode reported in K‐ion half/full cells.  相似文献

Aqueous zinc‐ion batteries are receiving increasing attention; however, the development of high‐voltage cathodes is limited by the narrow voltage window of conventional aqueous electrolytes. Herein, it is reported that Na3V2(PO4)2O1.6F1.4 exhibits the excellent performance, optimal to date, among polyanion cathode materials in a novel neutral water‐in‐bisalts electrolyte of 25 m ZnCl2 + 5 m NH4Cl. It delivers a reversible capacity of 155 mAh g?1 at 50 mA g?1, a high average operating potential of ≈1.46 V, and stable cyclability of 7000 cycles at 2 A g?1.  相似文献

3D graphene, as a light substrate for active loadings, is essential to achieve high energy density for aqueous Zn‐ion batteries, yet traditional synthesis routes are inefficient with high energy consumption. Reported here is a simplified procedure to transform the raw graphite paper directly into the graphene‐like carbon film (GCF). The electrochemically derived GCF contains a 2D–3D hybrid network with interconnected graphene sheets, and offers a highly porous structure. To realize high energy density, the Na:MnO2/GCF cathode and Zn/GCF anode are fabricated by electrochemical deposition. The GCF‐based Zn‐ion batteries deliver a high initial discharge capacity of 381.8 mA h g?1 at 100 mA g?1 and a reversible capacity of 188.0 mA h g?1 after 1000 cycles at 1000 mA g?1. Moreover, a recorded energy density of 511.9 Wh kg?1 is obtained at a power density of 137 W kg?1. The electrochemical kinetics measurement reveals the high capacitive contribution of the GCF and a co‐insertion/desertion mechanism of H+ and Zn2+ ions. First‐principles calculations are also carried out to investigate the effect of Na+ doping on the electrochemical performance of layered δ‐MnO2 cathodes. The results demonstrate the attractive potential of the GCF substrate in the application of the rechargeable batteries.  相似文献

The sluggish kinetics of Faradaic reactions in bulk electrodes is a significant obstacle to achieve high energy and power density in energy storage devices. Herein, a composite of LiFePO4 particles trapped in fast bifunctional conductor rGO&C@Li3V2(PO4)3 nanosheets is prepared through an in situ competitive redox reaction. The composite exhibits extraordinary rate capability (71 mAh g?1 at 15 A g?1) and remarkable cycling stability (0.03% decay per cycle over 1000 cycles at 10 A g?1). Improved extrinsic pseudocapacitive contribution is the origin of fast kinetics, which endows this composite with high energy and power density, since the unique 2D nanosheets and embedded ultrafine LiFePO4 nanoparticles can shorten the ion and electron diffusion length. Even applied to Li‐ion hybrid capacitors, the obtained devices still achieve high power density of 3.36 kW kg?1 along with high energy density up to 77.8 Wh kg?1. Density functional theory computations also validate that the remarkable rate performance is facilitated by the desirable ionic and electronic conductivity of the composite.  相似文献

In this work, a novel concept of introducing a local built‐in electric field to facilitate lithium‐ion transport and storage within interstitial carbon (C‐) doped nanoarchitectured Co3O4 electrodes for greatly improved lithium‐ion storage properties is demonstrated. The imbalanced charge distribution emerging from the C‐dopant can induce a local electric field, to greatly facilitate charge transfer. Via the mechanism of “surface locking” effect and in situ topotactic conversion, unique sub‐10 nm nanocrystal‐assembled Co3O4 hollow nanotubes (HNTs) are formed, exhibiting excellent structural stability. The resulting C‐doped Co3O4 HNT‐based electrodes demonstrate an excellent reversible capacity ≈950 mA h g?1 after 300 cycles at 0.5 A g?1 and superior rate performance with ≈853 mA h g?1 at 10 A g?1.  相似文献

Manganese‐based metal oxide electrode materials are of great importance in electrochemical energy storage for their favorable redox behavior, low cost, and environmental friendliness. However, their storage capacity and cycle life in aqueous Na‐ion electrolytes is not satisfactory. Herein, the development of a biphase cobalt–manganese oxide (Co? Mn? O) nanostructured electrode material is reported, comprised of a layered MnO2?H2O birnessite phase and a (Co0.83Mn0.13Va0.04)tetra(Co0.38Mn1.62)octaO3.72 (Va: vacancy; tetra: tetrahedral sites; octa: octahedral sites) spinel phase, verified by neutron total scattering and pair distribution function analyses. The biphase Co? Mn? O material demonstrates an excellent storage capacity toward Na‐ions in an aqueous electrolyte (121 mA h g?1 at a scan rate of 1 mV s?1 in the half‐cell and 81 mA h g?1 at a current density of 2 A g?1 after 5000 cycles in full‐cells), as well as high rate performance (57 mA h g?1 a rate of 360 C). Electrokinetic analysis and in situ X‐ray diffraction measurements further confirm that the synergistic interaction between the spinel and layered phases, as well as the vacancy of the tetrahedral sites of spinel phase, contribute to the improved capacity and rate performance of the Co? Mn? O material by facilitating both diffusion‐limited redox and capacitive charge storage processes.  相似文献

This study reports the design and fabrication of ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets@metal organic framework‐derived N‐doped carbon nanowall array hybrids on flexible carbon cloth (CC@CN@MoS2) as a free‐standing anode for high‐performance sodium ion batteries. When evaluated as an anode for sodium ion battery, the as‐fabricated CC@CN@MoS2 electrode exhibits a high capacity (653.9 mA h g?1 of the second cycle and 619.2 mA h g?1 after 100 cycles at 200 mA g?1), excellent rate capability, and long cycling life stability (265 mA h g?1 at 1 A g?1 after 1000 cycles). The excellent electrochemical performance can be attributed to the unique 2D hybrid structures, in which the ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets with expanded interlayers can provide shortened ion diffusion paths and favorable Na+ insertion/extraction space, and the porous N‐doped carbon nanowall arrays on flexible carbon cloth are able to improve the conductivity and maintain the structural integrity. Moreover, the N‐doping‐induced defects also make them favorable for the effective storage of sodium ions, which enables the enhanced capacity and rate performance of MoS2.  相似文献

Rechargeable batteries with flexibility can find tremendous applications in wearable and bendable electronics. One central mission for the advancement of such high‐performance batteries is the exploration of flexible anodes with electrochemical and mechanical robustness. Herein reported is a robust and flexible sodium‐ion anode based on self‐supported hematite nanoarray grown on carbon cloth. The ammonia treatment that results in dual doping of both nitrogen and low‐valent iron renders surface reactivity and electric conductivity to the material. The dual‐doped hematite arrays afford a robust activity for sodium storage, exhibiting reversible capacities of 895 and 382 mAh g?1 at current rates of 0.1 and 5 A g?1, respectively, or 615 and 356 mAh g?1 by removing the contribution of the substrate. They also sustain 85% of the initial capacity upon 200 cycles at 0.2 A g?1. To demonstrate the flexibility, full cells composed of a hematite array anode and Na3V2(PO4)3/C cathode are assembled. The cell is capable of affording an energy density of 201 Wh kg?1 and sustaining repeated bending without performance decay, demonstrating a significant potential in practical application.  相似文献

Urchin‐like CoSe2 assembled by nanorods has been synthesized via simple solvothermal route and has been first applied as an anode material for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) with ether‐based electrolytes. The CoSe2 delivers excellent sodiation and desodiation properties when using 1 m NaCF3SO3 in diethyleneglycol dimethylether as an electrolyte and cycling between 0.5 and 3.0 V. A high discharge capacity of 0.410 Ah g?1 is obtained at 1 A g?1 after 1800 cycles, corresponding to a capacity retention of 98.6% calculated from the 30th cycle. Even at an ultrahigh rate of 50 A g?1, the capacity still maintains 0.097 Ah g?1. The reaction mechanism of the as‐prepared CoSe2 is also investigated. The results demonstrate that at discharged 1.56 V, insertion reaction occurs, while two conversion reactions take place at the second and third plateaus around 0.98 and 0.65 V. During the charge process, Co first reacts with Na2Se to form NaxCoSe2 and then turns back to CoSe2. In addition to Na/CoSe2 half cells, Na3V2(PO4)3/CoSe2 full cell with excessive amount of Na3V2(PO4)3 has been studied. The full cell exhibits a reversible capacity of 0.380 Ah g?1. This work definitely enriches the possibilities for anode materials for SIBs with high performance.  相似文献

Lithium‐oxygen (Li‐O2) batteries are one of the most promising candidates for high‐energy‐density storage systems. However, the low utilization of porous carbon and the inefficient transport of reactants in the cathode limit terribly the practical capacity and, in particular, the rate capability of state‐of‐the‐art Li‐O2 batteries. Here, free‐standing, hierarchically porous carbon (FHPC) derived from graphene oxide (GO) gel in nickel foam without any additional binder is synthesized by a facile and effective in situ sol‐gel method, wherein the GO not only acts as a special carbon source, but also provides the framework of a 3D gel; more importantly, the proper acidity via its intrinsic COOH groups guarantees the formation of the whole structure. Interestingly, when employed as a cathode for Li‐O2 batteries, the capacity reaches 11 060 mA h g?1 at a current density of 0.2 mA cm?2 (280 mA g?1); and, unexpectedly, a high capacity of 2020 mA h g?1 can be obtained even the current density increases ten times, up to 2 mA cm?2 (2.8 A g?1), which is the best rate performance for Li‐O2 batteries reported to date. This excellent performance is attributed to the synergistic effect of the loose packing of the carbon, the hierarchical porous structure, and the high electronic conductivity of the Ni foam.  相似文献
