Rational nanoscale surface engineering of electroactive nanoarchitecture is highly desirable, since it can both secure high surface‐controlled energy storage and sustain the structural integrity for long‐time and high‐rate cycling. Herein, ultrasmall MoS2 quantum dots (QDs) are exploited as surface sensitizers to boost the electrochemical properties of Li4Ti5O12 (LTO). The LTO/MoS2 composite is prepared by anchoring 2D LTO nanosheets with ultrasmall MoS2 QDs using a simple and effective assembly technique. Impressively, such 0D/2D heterostructure composites possess enhanced surface‐controlled Li/Na storage behavior. This unprecedented Li/Na storage process provides a LTO/MoS2 composite with outstanding Li/Na storage properties, such as high capacity and high‐rate capability as well as long‐term cycling stability. As anodes in Li‐ion batteries, the materials have a stable specific capacity of 170 mAhg?1 after 20 cycles and are able to retain 94.1% of this capacity after 1000 cycles, i.e., 160 mAhg?1, at a high rate of 10 C. Due to these impressice performance, the presented 0D/2D heterostructure has great potential in high‐performance LIBs and sodium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

2D MXenes have been widely applied in the field of electrochemical energy storage owning to their high electrical conductivity and large redox‐active surface area. However, electrodes made from multilayered MXene with small interlayer spacing exhibit sluggish kinetics with low capacity for sodium‐ion storage. Herein, Ti3C2 MXene with expanded and engineered interlayer spacing for excellent storage capability is demonstrated. After cetyltrimethylammonium bromide pretreatment, S atoms are successfully intercalated into the interlayer of Ti3C2 to form a desirable interlayer‐expanded structure via Ti? S bonding, while pristine Ti3C2 is hardly to be intercalated. When the annealing temperature is 450 °C, the S atoms intercalated Ti3C2 (CT‐S@Ti3C2‐450) electrode delivers the improved Na‐ion capacity of 550 mAh g?1 at 0.1 A g?1 (≈120 mAh g?1 at 15 A g?1, the best MXene‐based Na+‐storage rate performance reported so far), and excellent cycling stability over 5000 cycles at 10 A g?1 by enhanced pseudocapacitance. The enhanced sodium‐ion storage capability has also been verified by theoretical calculations and kinetic analysis. Coupling the CT‐S@Ti3C2‐450 anode with commercial AC cathode, the assembled Na+ capacitor delivers high energy density (263.2 Wh kg?1) under high power density (8240 W kg?1), and outstanding cycling performance.  相似文献

Na‐ion Batteries have been considered as promising alternatives to Li‐ion batteries due to the natural abundance of sodium resources. Searching for high‐performance anode materials currently becomes a hot topic and also a great challenge for developing Na‐ion batteries. In this work, a novel hybrid anode is synthesized consisting of ultrafine, few‐layered SnS2 anchored on few‐layered reduced graphene oxide (rGO) by a facile solvothermal route. The SnS2/rGO hybrid exhibits a high capacity, ultralong cycle life, and superior rate capability. The hybrid can deliver a high charge capacity of 649 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1. At 800 mA g?1 (1.8 C), it can yield an initial charge capacity of 469 mAh g?1, which can be maintained at 89% and 61%, respectively, after 400 and 1000 cycles. The hybrid can also sustain a current density up to 12.8 A g?1 (≈28 C) where the charge process can be completed in only 1.3 min while still delivering a charge capacity of 337 mAh g?1. The fast and stable Na‐storage ability of SnS2/rGO makes it a promising anode for Na‐ion batteries.  相似文献

The large volume expansion induced by K+ intercalation is always a big challenge for designing high‐performance electrode materials in potassium‐ion storage system. Based on the idea that large‐sized ions should accommodate big “houses,” a facile‐induced growth strategy is proposed to achieve the self‐loading of MoS2 clusters inside a hollow tubular carbon skeleton (HTCS). Meantime, a step‐by‐step intercalation technology is employed to tune the interlayer distance and the layer number of MoS2. Based on the above, the ED‐MoS2@CT hybrids are achieved by self‐loading and anchoring the well‐dispersed ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets on the inner surface of HTCSs. This unique compositing model not only alleviates the mechanical strain efficiently, but also provides spacious “roads” (hollow tubular carbon skeleton) and “houses” (interlayer expanded ultrathin MoS2 sheets) for fast K+ transition and storage. As an anode of potassium‐ion batteries, the resultant ED‐MoS2@CT electrode delivers a high specific capacity of 148.5 mAh g?1 at 2 A g?1 after 10 000 cycles with only 0.002% fading per cycle. The assembled ED‐MoS2@CT//PC potassium‐ion hybrid supercapacitor device shows a high energy density of 148 Wh kg?1 at a power density of 965 W kg?1, which is comparable to that of lithium‐ion hybrid supercapacitors.  相似文献

All‐solid‐state lithium metal batteries (ASSLMBs) have attracted significant attention due to their superior safety and high energy density. However, little success has been made in adopting Li metal anodes in sulfide electrolyte (SE)‐based ASSLMBs. The main challenges are the remarkable interfacial reactions and Li dendrite formation between Li metal and SEs. In this work, a solid‐state plastic crystal electrolyte (PCE) is engineered as an interlayer in SE‐based ASSLMBs. It is demonstrated that the PCE interlayer can prevent the interfacial reactions and lithium dendrite formation between SEs and Li metal. As a result, ASSLMBs with LiFePO4 exhibit a high initial capacity of 148 mAh g?1 at 0.1 C and 131 mAh g?1 at 0.5 C (1 C = 170 mA g?1), which remains at 122 mAh g?1 after 120 cycles at 0.5 C. All‐solid‐state Li‐S batteries based on the polyacrylonitrile‐sulfur composite are also demonstrated, showing an initial capacity of 1682 mAh g?1. The second discharge capacity of 890 mAh g?1 keeps at 775 mAh g?1 after 100 cycles. This work provides a new avenue to address the interfacial challenges between Li metal and SEs, enabling the successful adoption of Li metal in SE‐based ASSLMBs with high energy density.  相似文献

Flexible freestanding electrodes are highly desired to realize wearable/flexible batteries as required for the design and production of flexible electronic devices. Here, the excellent electrochemical performance and inherent flexibility of atomically thin 2D MoS2 along with the self‐assembly properties of liquid crystalline graphene oxide (LCGO) dispersion are exploited to fabricate a porous anode for high‐performance lithium ion batteries. Flexible, free‐standing MoS2–reduced graphene oxide (MG) film with a 3D porous structure is fabricated via a facile spontaneous self‐assembly process and subsequent freeze‐drying. This is the first report of a one‐pot self‐assembly, gelation, and subsequent reduction of MoS2/LCGO composite to form a flexible, high performance electrode for charge storage. The gelation process occurs directly in the mixed dispersion of MoS2 and LCGO nanosheets at a low temperature (70 °C) and normal atmosphere (1 atm). The MG film with 75 wt% of MoS2 exhibits a high reversible capacity of 800 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1. It also demonstrates excellent rate capability, and excellent cycling stability with no capacity drop over 500 charge/discharge cycles at a current density of 400 mA g?1.  相似文献

Lithium‐ion, sodium‐ion, and potassium‐ion batteries have captured tremendous attention in power supplies for various electric vehicles and portable electronic devices. However, their practical applications are severely limited by factors such as poor rate capability, fast capacity decay, sluggish charge storage dynamics, and low reversibility. Herein, hetero‐structured bimetallic sulfide (NiS/FeS) encapsulated in N‐doped porous carbon cubes interconnected with CNTs (Ni‐Fe‐S‐CNT) are prepared through a convenient co‐precipitation and post‐heat treatment sulfurization technique of the corresponding Prussian‐blue analogue nanocage precursor. This special 3D hierarchical structure can offer a stable interconnect and conductive network and shorten the diffusion path of ions, thereby greatly enhancing the mobility efficiency of alkali (Li, Na, K) ions in electrode materials. The Ni‐Fe‐S‐CNT nanocomposite maintains a charge capacity of 1535 mAh g?1 at 0.2 A g?1 for lithium ion batteries, 431 mAh g?1 at 0.1 A g?1 for sodium ion batteries, and 181 mAh g?1 at 0.1 A g?1 for potassium‐ion batteries, respectively. The high performance is mainly attributed to the 3D hierarchically high‐conductivity network architecture, in which the hetero‐structured FeS/NiS nanocubes provide fast Li+/Na+/K+ insertion/extraction and reduced ion diffusion paths, and the distinctive 3D networks maintain the electrical contact and guarantee the structural integrity.  相似文献

Potassium‐ion batteries (KIBs) are new‐concept of low‐cost secondary batteries, but the sluggish kinetics and huge volume expansion during cycling, both rooted in the size of large K ions, lead to poor electrochemical behavior. Here, a bamboo‐like MoS2/N‐doped‐C hollow tubes are presented with an expanded interlayer distance of 10 Å as a high‐capacity and stable anode material for KIBs. The bamboo‐like structure provides gaps along axial direction in addition to inner cylinder hollow space to mitigate the strains in both radial and vertical directions that ultimately leads to a high structural integrity for stable long‐term cycling. Apart from being a constituent of the interstratified structure the N‐doped‐C layers weave a cage to hold the potassiation products (polysulfide and the Mo nanoparticles) together, thereby effectively hindering the continuing growth of solid electrolyte interphase in the interior of particles. The density functional theory calculations prove that the MoS2/N‐doped‐C atomic interface can provide an additional attraction toward potassium ion. As a result, it delivers a high capacity at a low current density (330 mAh g?1 at 50 mA g?1 after 50 cycles) and a high‐capacity retention at a high current density (151 mAh g?1 at 500 mA g?1 after 1000 cycles).  相似文献

A facile one‐step spraying synthesis of MoS2/C microspheres and their enhanced electrochemical performance as anode of sodium‐ion batteries is reported. An aerosol spraying pyrolysis without any template is employed to synthesize MoS2/C microspheres, in which ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets (≈2 nm) with enlarged interlayers (≈0.64 nm) are homogeneously embedded in mesoporous carbon microspheres. The as‐synthesized mesoporous MoS2/C microspheres with 31 wt% carbon have been applied as an anode material for sodium ion batteries, demonstrating long cycling stability (390 mAh g?1 after 2500 cycles at 1.0 A g?1) and high rate capability (312 mAh g?1 at 10.0 A g?1 and 244 mAh g?1 at 20.0 A g?1). The superior electrochemical performance is due to the uniform distribution of ultrathin MoS2 nanosheets in mesoporous carbon frameworks. This kind of structure not only effectively improves the electronic and ionic transport through MoS2/C microspheres, but also minimizes the influence of pulverization and aggregation of MoS2 nanosheets during repeated sodiation and desodiation.  相似文献

Lithium ion battery is the predominant power source for portable electronic devices, electrical vehicles, and back‐up electricity storage units for clean and renewable energies. High‐capacity and long‐life electrode materials are essential for the next‐generation Li‐ion battery with high energy density. Here bimetal‐organic‐frameworks synthesis of Co0.4Zn0.19S@N and S codoped carbon dodecahedron is shown with rooted carbon nanotubes (Co‐Zn‐S@N‐S‐C‐CNT) for high‐performance Li‐ion battery application. Benefiting from the synergetic effect of two metal sulfide species for Li‐storage at different voltages, mesoporous dodecahedron structure, N and S codoped carbon overlayer and deep‐rooted CNTs network, the product exhibits a larger‐than‐theoretical reversible Li‐storage capacity of 941 mAh g?1 after 250 cycles at 100 mA g?1 and excellent high‐rate capability (734, 591, 505 mAh g?1 after 500 cycles at large current densities of 1, 2, and 5 A g?1 , respectively).  相似文献

Graphene scroll is an emerging 1D tubular form of graphitic carbon that has potential applications in electrochemical energy storage. However, it still remains a challenge to composite graphene scrolls with other nanomaterials for building advanced electrode configuration with fast and durable lithium storage properties. Here, a transition‐metal‐oxide‐based hierarchically ordered 3D porous electrode is designed based on assembling 1D core–sheath MnO@N‐doped graphene scrolls with 2D N‐doped graphene ribbons. In the resulting architecture, porous MnO nanowires confined in tubular graphene scrolls are mechanically isolated but electronically well‐connected, while the interwoven graphene ribbons offer continuous conductive paths for electron transfer in all directions. Moreover, the elastic graphene scrolls together with enough internal voids are able to accommodate the volume expansion of the enclosed MnO. Because of these merits, the as‐built electrode manifests ultrahigh rate capability (349 mAh g?1 at 8.0 A g?1; 205 mAh g?1 at 15.0 A g?1) and robust cycling stability (812 mAh g?1 remaining after 1000 cycles at 2.0 A g?1) and is the most efficient MnO‐based anode ever reported for lithium‐ion batteries. This unique multidimensional and hierarchically ordered structure design is believed to hold great potential in generalizable synthesis of graphene scrolls composited with oxide nanowires for mutifuctional energy storage.  相似文献

Solid‐state lithium (Li) batteries using solid electrolytes and Li anodes are highly desirable because of their high energy densities and intrinsic safety. However, low ambient‐temperature conductivity and poor interface compatibility of solid electrolytes as well as Li dendrite formation cause large polarization and poor cycling stability. Herein, a high transference number intercalated composite solid electrolyte (CSE) is prepared by the combination of a solution‐casting and hot‐pressing method using layered lithium montmorillonite, poly(ethylene carbonate), lithium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide, high‐voltage fluoroethylene carbonate additive, and poly(tetrafluoroethylene) binder. The electrolyte presents high ionic conductivity (3.5 × 10?4 S cm?1), a wide electrochemical window (4.6 V vs Li+/Li), and high ionic transference number (0.83) at 25 °C. In addition, a 3D Li anode is also fabricated via a facile thermal infusion strategy. The synergistic effect of high transference number intercalated electrolyte and 3D Li anode is more favorable to suppress Li dendrites in a working battery. The solid‐state batteries based on LiFePO4 (Al2O3 @ LiNi0.5Co0.2Mn0.3O2), CSE, and 3D Li deliver admirable cycling stability with discharge capacity 145.9 mAh g?1 (150.7 mAh g?1) and capacity retention 91.9% after 200 cycles at 0.5 C (92.0% after 100 cycles at 0.2 C) at 25 °C. This work affords a splendid strategy for high‐performance solid‐state battery.  相似文献

Using synergetic effects of various sodium storage modes and materials to construct high power, high energy, and long cycling flexible sodium anode materials is significant and still challenging. Here, by advantageous functional integration of adsorption‐intercalation‐conversion sodium storage mechanisms, a 3D flexible fiber paper anode with the composition of Nb2O5@hard carbon@MoS2@soft carbon is designed and prepared. Based on the synergetic effects, it exhibits higher specific capacity than pure Nb2O5, with more excellent rate performance (245, 201, 155, 133, and 97 mAh g?1 at the current density of 0.2, 1, 5, 10, and 20 A g?1, respectively) than pure MoS2 as well as admirable long‐term cycling characteristics (≈82% capacity retention after 20 000 cycles at 5 A g?1). Relevant kinetics mechanisms are expounded in detail. This work can be helpful for preparing other types of hybrid and flexible electrodes for energy storage systems.  相似文献

This work studies for the first time the metallic 1T MoS2 sandwich grown on graphene tube as a freestanding intercalation anode for promising sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). Sodium is earth‐abundant and readily accessible. Compared to lithium, the main challenge of sodium‐ion batteries is its sluggish ion diffusion kinetic. The freestanding, porous, hollow structure of the electrode allows maximum electrolyte accessibility to benefit the transportation of Na+ ions. Meanwhile, the metallic MoS2 provides excellent electron conductivity. The obtained 1T MoS2 electrode exhibits excellent electrochemical performance: a high reversible capacity of 313 mAh g?1 at a current density of 0.05 A g?1 after 200 cycles and a high rate capability of 175 mAh g?1 at 2 A g?1. The underlying mechanism of high rate performance of 1T MoS2 for SIBs is the high electrical conductivity and excellent ion accessibility. This study sheds light on using the 1T MoS2 as a novel anode for SIBs.  相似文献

2D carbon nanosheets are considered to be promising candidates for use as sodium ion battery (SIB) anodes due to their large specific surface area and excellent electronic conductivity. However, their applications are hampered by inferior cycling performance, insufficient storage capacity, and high cost. N, B co‐doping carbon nanosheets (NBTs) are synthesized using biomass‐based gelatin as carbon precursor and boric acid as template, and demonstrate their great potential as high‐performance SIB anodes in practical applications. The synergistic effect of heteroatom doping and ultrathin 2D structure provides the NBTs with abundant defects, active sites, and short ion/electron transfer distance, which favors and improves the storage capabilities and rate performances. The optimized NBTs present a remarkable cyclability and superb rate capability (309 mAh g?1 at 0.2 A g?1 for 200 cycles; 225 mAh g?1 at 1 A g?1 for 2000 cycles). Meanwhile, the Na storage mechanism is proved to be a pseudocapacitive‐controlled process, which accounts for the fast charge/discharge behaviors. This work demonstrates an effective template method to produce 2D heteroatoms co‐doping carbon nanosheets to achieve excellent Na storage performances.  相似文献

Owing to their extremely high energy density, Li‐O2 batteries have attained increasing attention in recent studies. However, deposition of the discharge product, insulating Li2O2, is known to seriously limit the electrochemical performance of Li‐O2 batteries. While extensive studies have focused on relieving electrode deactivation by controlling Li2O2 growth, no permanent or effective mechanism is delivered. Here, a unique design comprising a catalytic cathode constructed by cracked carbon submicron tube (CST) arrays decorated with Au nanoparticles on inner walls is proposed. The introduction of Au nanoparticles not only improves electrode conductivity but also provides catalytic sites, guiding conformal growth of thin‐layered Li2O2 inside the cracked CST. Density functional theory calculations support that Au decoration on CST favors the conformal growth of Li2O2 on inner tubular walls. This growth behavior of Li2O2 renders easy decomposition of Li2O2, prevents carbon tube electrode from full, rapid deactivation, and preserves the free space for reactants transport. Li‐O2 cells with Au@CST exhibit good rate capability (1208 mAh g–1 at a high current density of 1000 mA g–1) and long cycle life (112 cycles at a current density of 400 mA g–1 with a limited capacity of 500 mAh g–1).  相似文献

Transition metal oxides, possessing high theoretical specific capacities, are promising anode materials for sodium‐ion batteries. However, the sluggish sodiation/desodiation kinetics and poor structural stability restrict their electrochemical performance. To achieve high and fast Na storage capability, in this work, rambutan‐like hybrid hollow spheres of carbon confined Co3O4 nanoparticles are synthesized by a facile one‐pot hydrothermal treatment with postannealing. The hierarchy hollow structure with ultrafine Co3O4 nanoparticles embedded in the continuous carbon matrix enables greatly enhanced structural stability and fast electrode kinetics. When tested in sodium‐ion batteries, the hollow structured composite electrode exhibits an outstandingly high reversible specific capacity of 712 mAh g?1 at a current density of 0.1 A g?1, and retains a capacity of 223 mAh g?1 even at a large current density of 5 A g?1. Besides the superior Na storage capability, good cycle performance is demonstrated for the composite electrode with 74.5% capacity retention after 500 cycles, suggesting promising application in advanced sodium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

Nanocomposites comprised of poly(ethylene oxide), molybdenum disulfide, and graphene were prepared by the hydrolysis of lithiated molybdenum disulfide in an aqueous solution of PEO and graphene. Structural analysis by XRD shows the nanocomposites are disordered with an expansion of ~6 Å in the interlayer spacing. During the first discharge, the nanocomposites electrochemically dissociates irreversibly into Li2S and Mo and are able to continously cycle as Li2S +Mo/Lix ? S + Mo + Lix+2 as shown by XRD of the discharged electrodes at different depth of discharge (DOD), cyclic voltammetry (CV), and high resolution TEM. A significant increase of the reversible capacity is found in as‐prepared MoS2/PEO/graphene composite. The results suggest a new electro‐interaction between lithium and molybdenum metal that only occurs in the nanoregime and is enhanced by PEO. The addition of 2 wt% of graphene to the nanocomposites greatly increases the rate capability with rates as high as 10000mA g?1 yielding > 250mAh g?1 and recovering to > 600 mAhr g?1 at 50mA g?1.  相似文献

Lithium sulfide (Li2S) has attracted increasing attention as a promising cathode because of its compatibility with more practical lithium‐free anode materials and its high specific capacity. However, it is still a challenge to develop Li2S cathodes with low electrochemical overpotential, high capacity and reversibility, and good rate performance. This work designs and fabricates a practical Li2S cathode composed of Li2S/few‐walled carbon nanotubes@reduced graphene oxide nanobundle forest (Li2S/FWNTs@rGO NBF). Hierarchical nanostructures are obtained by annealing the Li2SO4/FWNTs@GO NBF, which is prepared by a facile and scalable solution‐based self‐assembly method. Systematic characterizations reveal that in this unique NBF nanostructure, FWNTs act as axial shafts to direct the structure, Li2S serves as the internal active material, and GO sheets provide an external coating to minimize the direct contact of Li2S with the electrolyte. When used as a cathode, the Li2S/FWNTs@rGO NBF achieve a high capacity of 868 mAh g?1Li2S at 0.2C after 300 cycles and an outstanding rate performance of 433 mAh g?1Li2S even at 10C, suggesting that this Li2S cathode is a promising candidate for ultrafast charge/discharge applications. The design and synthetic strategies outlined here can be readily applied to the processing of other novel functional materials to obtain a much wider range of applications.  相似文献

Graphdiyne (GDY), an emerging type of carbon allotropes, possesses fascinating electrical, chemical, and mechanical properties to readily spark energy applications in the realm of Li‐ion and Na‐ion batteries. Nevertheless, rational design of GDY architectures targeting advanced K‐ion storage has rarely been reported to date. Herein, the first example of synthesizing GDY frameworks in a scalable fashion to realize superb potassium storage for high‐performance K‐ion battery (KIB) anodes is showcased. To begin with, first principles calculations provide theoretical guidances for analyzing the intrinsic potassium storage capability of GDY. Meanwhile, the specific capacity is predicted to be as high as 620 mAh g?1, which is considerably augmented as compared with graphite (278 mAh g?1). Experimental tests then reveal that prepared GDY framework indeed harvests excellent electrochemical performance as a KIB anode, achieving high specific capacity (≈505 mAh g?1 at 50 mA g?1), outstanding rate performance (150 mAh g?1 at 5000 mA g?1) and favorable cycling stability (a high capacity retention of over 90% after 2000 cycles at 1000 mA g?1). Furthermore, kinetic analysis reveals that capacitive effect mainly accounts for the K‐ion storage, with operando Raman spectroscopy/ex situ X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy identifying good electrochemical reversibility of GDY.  相似文献
