A presentation of data on the use of several electrolytes with one particular clay, to wit: Indiana clay, such as is used by the terra cotta manufacturers of the Chicago district. The various electrolytes used were sodium carbonate, sodium silicate, the two combined half and half, gallic acid, and tannic acid. Data was obtained by determining relative viscosities with the use of a flow viscosimeter, and by measuring the thickness of wall cast in a given time. Sodium carbonate, used alone, seemed to be the most satisfactory. Tannic acid shows possibilities, but so much is required as to be commercially impractical.  相似文献

研究粘度调节剂对环氧树脂/二氨基二苯基砜/聚醚酰亚胺(EP/DDS/PEI)共混物相结构及制备EP微球的影响。结果表明,共混物中加入粘度调节剂后,固化过程中共混体系的粘度明显降低,随着粘度调节剂用量的增加,EP分散相尺寸逐渐增大,制得的EP微球粒径及粒径分布指数逐渐增大。EP微球的红外光谱显示粘度调节剂对EP微球的成分和相结构没有明显影响。  相似文献

采用溶胶-凝胶法,以钛酸四丁酯(Ti(OC4H9)4)和硝酸铝(Al(NO3)3·9H2O)为前驱体,乙醇为溶剂,利用硝酸铝中所含的结晶水代替水解反应所需的外加水,在莫来石基片上制备钛酸铝薄膜.借助偏光显微镜、SEM和XRD研究了提拉速度、浸渍时间和镀膜次数等镀膜工艺参数对镀膜效果的影响.研究结果表明:采用浸渍-提拉法,浸渍提拉速度为1mm/s、每次浸渍时间为30s,经过3次镀膜可以在莫来石基片上制备出均匀、致密、高质量的钛酸铝薄膜.  相似文献

Producing desirable flowing quality in a slip is proposed as a means of controlling its casting quality. A conception of plastic flow as a property incapable of being measured in terms of an absolute unit such as may be applied to viscosity measurement is presented and a simple gravity flow tube consistometer of suitable dimensions for obtaining comparative tests upon casting slips or upon similar suspensions is described. Only sufficient data are presented to aid in explaining or describing general principles or conceptions, to suggest means of obtaining desirable plastic flow and to show what the consistency of a vitreous sanitary ware casting slip now in use actually is. Stiffness, yield value, and starting pressure are regarded as the elements making up plastic flowing quality and it is necessary to take all three of these factors into account in order to specify the kind of flow obtained. The consistency of a casting slip which will produce good solid cast ware, described in terms of the test apparatus used in connection with this work, may be stated as follows: stiffness equals 60 cm. per cc. per sec.; yield value equals 20 cm.; plasticity ratio equals 2.5. Slip flow occurs in a wide variety of practical chemical engineering processes. This work models, for the first time, the interaction of surface slip and system rotation normal to the flow direction. It is found that the flow fields are affected considerably. For Poiseuille flow, slip increases the longitudinal flow rate at low rotation, but decreases it at high rotation. For Couette flow, slip decreases the longitudinal drag. The solutions are also exact solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations.  相似文献

The operation in enameling that is the most difficult to control is the setting up of enamels for dipping. The difficulty occurs because there has been no practical accurate method for measuring the set of the enamel. Practical experience shows that viscosity is not an indication of the set or of the dipping weight. The method presented consists in determining the apparent specific gravity of the enamel slip with true value for the specific gravity. Calculations give a numerical value for the value of the set or yield point. The measurements are accurately reproducible, and dipping weights have been found to correlate quite well with the results given of tests in laboratory and plants.  相似文献

介绍了以正硅酸乙酯Si(C2H5O4)、氧氯化锆(ZrOCl2)和氧氯化钒(VOCl3)等为原料,以水和乙醇为介质制备V-ZrSiO4蓝色料超细粉的方法。其中钒均匀地分散固溶在ZrSiO4中,通过系统改变Zr/Si(摩尔比)和V的固溶量可获得最佳呈色效果。通过XRD、DTA-TG和红外光谱的测试和分析明确了在加热过程中颜色变化与钒在ZrSiO4中固溶量的关系,及V^4 取代ZrSiO4中部分Zr^4 形成固溶体的结论。  相似文献

从Zeta电位的角度出发,对泥浆粘度、泥浆稳定性以及素坯密度进行了调整和比较,解决了SiC泥浆制备及其浇注中的一些问题。用3种SiC原料,浇注成型后素坯密度、无压烧结后烧结密度和烧结样品的抗弯强度分别达1.66g/cm^3(51.7%),2.93g/cm^3(91.3%)和268MPa。  相似文献
