Palm kernel shell and the palm fruit pulp fiber were used as additives for polypropylene. The mechanical properties of the polymer, namely, tensile strength, impact strength, surface hardness, and flexural modulus were remarkably enhanced. The thermal data needed for the design of heat transfer equipment and distillation columns for the manufacture of a new vinyl monomer, diacetone acrylamide, were rapidly and effectively provided by differential scanning calorimetry. A method has been developed for determining the effects of inhibitors and metals on the polymerization of the vinyl monomer. The latter was an aid in the selection of materials of construction. DSC was used to determine the total inhibitor concentration in the monomer. Selection of inhibitors was facilitated by information derived from thermal analysis. 相似文献

Three species of planthopper,Nilaparvata lugens,Sogatella furcifera, andLaodelphax striatellus, showed characteristic behavior of stylet probing in parenchymal tissues of plants. Feeding experiments of planthoppers on aqueous sucrose solution containing the extract of rice plants or barnyard grass revealed the presence of the stimulant for the probing behavior in the plant tissues. EightC-glycosylflavones which stimulated stylet probing were isolated from rice plants. Four of them were identified to be schaftoside, neoschaftoside, carlinoside, and neocarlinoside, the last one being a new compound isolated from the plant. The isolatedC-glycosylflavones showed the same level of the activity for the probing ofN. lugens as the rice plant extract only when all of them were combined. 相似文献

Tropical varieties of sesame grown in California exhibit lush vegetative growth and could serve as sources of leaf protein
concentrates. Green sesame plants were harvested in late August and, following 3 months of vegetative growth, produced 18.5
tons of fresh material per hectare, 543 kg/ha of protein. It is expected that these yields could be increased with breeding
of better varieties and improvement of cultural practices. Amino acid composition of sesame leaves was comparable to alfalfa;

讨论了不同条件下电厂粉煤灰对造纸厂废水的处理效果,通过粉煤灰浸溶实验,研究了酸处理后造纸废水作电厂冲灰水源,灰水质量比0.067~0.1时,在pH值为1.0~3.0范围内,对后续的冲灰系统防垢非常有利,而且造纸废水的CODCr去除率可达50%以上,证明了用造纸厂废水作电厂冲灰水的可行性,有利于实现电厂冲灰水闭路循环,环境和社会效益显著。 相似文献
