Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are one of the most promising solar energy conversion technologies owing to their rapidly developing power conversion efficiency (PCE). Low‐temperature solution processing of the perovskite layer enables the fabrication of flexible devices. However, their application has been greatly hindered due to the lack of strategies to fabricate high‐quality electron transport layers (ETLs) at the low temperatures (≈100 °C) that most flexible plastic substrates can withstand, leading to poor performances for flexible PSCs. In this work, through combining the spin‐coating process with a hydrothermal treatment method, ligand‐free and highly crystalline SnO2 ETLs are successfully fabricated at low temperature. The flexible PSCs based on this SnO2 ETL exhibit an excellent PCE of 18.1% (certified 17.3%). The flexible PSCs maintained 85% of the initial PCE after 1000 bending cycles and over 90% of the initial PCE after being stored in ambient air for 30 days without encapsulation. The investigation reveals that hydrothermal treatment not only promotes the complete removal of organic surfactants coated onto the surface of the SnO2 nanoparticles by hot water vapor but also enhances crystallization through the high vapor pressure of water, leading to the formation of high‐quality SnO2 ETLs.  相似文献

Wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with optimal bandgap (Eg) and high power conversion efficiency (PCE) are key to high‐performance perovskite‐based tandem photovoltaics. A 2D/3D perovskite heterostructure passivation is employed for double‐cation wide‐bandgap PSCs with engineered bandgap (1.65 eV ≤ Eg ≤ 1.85 eV), which results in improved stabilized PCEs and a strong enhancement in open‐circuit voltages of around 45 mV compared to reference devices for all investigated bandgaps. Making use of this strategy, semitransparent PSCs with engineered bandgap are developed, which show stabilized PCEs of up to 25.7% and 25.0% in four‐terminal perovskite/c‐Si and perovskite/CIGS tandem solar cells, respectively. Moreover, comparable tandem PCEs are observed for a broad range of perovskite bandgaps. For the first time, the robustness of the four‐terminal tandem configuration with respect to variations in the perovskite bandgap for two state‐of‐the‐art bottom solar cells is experimentally validated.  相似文献

Organic–inorganic metal halide perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have attracted much research interest owing to their high power conversion efficiency (PCE), solution processability, and the great potential for commercialization. However, the device performance is closely related to the quality of the perovskite film and the interface properties, which cannot be easily controlled by solution processes. Here, 2D WS2 flakes with defect‐free surfaces are introduced as a template for van der Waals epitaxial growth of mixed perovskite films by solution process for the first time. The mixed perovskite films demonstrate a preferable growth along (001) direction on WS2 surfaces. In addition, the WS2/perovskite heterojunction forms a cascade energy alignment for efficient charge extraction and reduced interfacial recombination. The inverted PSCs with WS2 interlayers show high PCEs up to 21.1%, which is among the highest efficiency of inverted planar PSCs. This work demonstrates that high‐mobility 2D materials can find important applications in PSCs as well as other perovskite‐based optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

All-inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have been the research focus due to their high thermal stability and proper band gap for tandem solar cells. However, their power conversion efficiency (PCE) is still lower than that of organic-inorganic hybrid PSCs. Herein, a sacrificing dye (Rhodamine B isothiocyanate, RBITC) is developed to regulate the growth of perovskite film by in situ release of ethylammonium cations, isothiocyanate anions and benzoic acid molecules upon annealing and illumination. The ethylammonium cations can efficiently passivate surface defects. The isothiocyanate anions incorporate with uncoordinated Pb to regulate the crystallization process. The benzoic acid molecules facilitate the nucleation of the perovskite crystals. Especially, the illumination can accelerate the release of these beneficial ions/molecules to improve the quality of perovskite films further. After optimization with RBITC, a high open circuit voltage (VOC) of 1.24 V and a champion PCE of 20.95% are obtained, which are among the highest Voc and PCE values of CsPbI3 PSCs. Accordingly, the operational stability of the PSC devices is significantly improved. The results provide an efficient chemical strategy to regulate the formation of perovskite films in whole crystallization process for high performance all-inorganic PSCs.  相似文献

To achieve high‐performance large‐area flexible polymer solar cells (PSCs), one of the challenges is to develop new interface materials that possess a thermal‐annealing‐free process and thickness‐insensitive photovoltaic properties. Here, an n‐type self‐doping fullerene electrolyte, named PCBB‐3N‐3I, is developed as electron transporting layer (ETL) for the application in PSCs. PCBB‐3N‐3I ETL can be processed at room temperature, and shows excellent orthogonal solvent processability, substantially improved conductivity, and appropriate energy levels. PCBB‐3N‐3I ETL also functions as light‐harvesting acceptor in a bilayer solar cell, contributing to the overall device performance. As a result, the PCBB‐3N‐3I ETL‐based inverted PSCs with a PTB7‐Th:PC71BM photoactive layer demonstrate an enhanced power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 10.62% for rigid and 10.04% for flexible devices. Moreover, the device avoids a thermal annealing process and the photovoltaic properties are insensitive to the thickness of PCBB‐3N‐3I ETL, yielding a PCE of 9.32% for the device with thick PCBB‐3N‐3I ETL (61 nm). To the best of one's knowledge, the above performance yields the highest efficiencies for the flexible PSCs and thick ETL‐based PSCs reported so far. Importantly, the flexible PSCs with PCBB‐3N‐3I ETL also show robust bending durability that could pave the way for the future development of high‐performance flexible solar cells.  相似文献

Recent progress of vapor-deposited perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has proved the feasibility of this deposition method in achieving promising photovoltaic devices. For the first time, it is probed the versatility of the co-evaporation process in creating perovskite layers customizable for different device architectures. A gradient of composition is created within the perovskite films by tuning the background chamber pressure during the growth process. This method leads to co-evaporated MAPbI3 film with graded Fermi levels across the thickness. Here it is proved that this growth process is beneficial for p-i-n PSCs as it can guarantee a favorable energy alignment at the charge selective interfaces. Co-evaporated p-i-n PSCs, with different hole transporting layers, consistently achieve power conversion efficiency (PCE) over 20% with a champion value of 20.6%, one of the highest reported to date. The scaled-up p-i-n PSCs, with active areas of 1 and 1.96 cm2, achieved the record PCEs of 19.1% and 17.2%, respectively, while the flexible PSCs reached a PCE of 19.3%. Unencapsulated PSCs demonstrate remarkable long-term stability, retaining ≈90% of their initial PCE when stored in ambient for 1000 h. These PSCs also preserve over 80% of their initial PCE after 500 h of thermal aging at 85 °C.  相似文献

With the impressive record power conversion efficiency (PCE) of perovskite solar cells exceeding 23%, research focus now shifts onto issues closely related to commercialization. One of the critical hurdles is to minimize the cell‐to‐module PCE loss while the device is being developed on a large scale. Since a solution‐based spin‐coating process is limited to scalability, establishment of a scalable deposition process of perovskite layers is a prerequisite for large‐area perovskite solar modules. Herein, this paper reports on the recent progress of large‐area perovskite solar cells. A deeper understanding of the crystallization of perovskite films is indeed essential for large‐area perovskite film formation. Various large‐area coating methods are proposed including blade, slot‐die, evaporation, and post‐treatment, where blade‐coating and gas post‐treatment have so far demonstrated better PCEs for an area larger than 10 cm2. However, PCE loss rate is estimated to be 1.4 × 10?2% cm?2, which is 82 and 3.5 times higher than crystalline Si (1.7 × 10?4% cm?2) and thin film technologies (≈4 × 10?3% cm?2) respectively. Therefore, minimizing PCE loss upon scaling‐up is expected to lead to PCE over 20% in case of cell efficiency of >23%.  相似文献

Two-terminal, mechanically-stacked perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells offer a feasible way to achieve power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of over 35%, provided that the state-of-the-art industrial silicon solar cells and perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are fully compatible with one another. Herein, two-terminal, mechanically-stacked perovskite/silicon tandem solar cells are developed by mechanically interconnecting semitransparent PSCs and TOPCon solar cells with a MXene interlayer. The semitransparent PSCs are made from wide-bandgap perovskite Cs0.15FA0.65MA0.20Pb(I0.80Br0.20)3 films. Furthermore, the co-additives KPF6 and CH3NH3Cl(MACl) are employed to reduce grain boundaries and intragranular defects in the perovskite, boosting the PCE of the semitransparent PSCs to a record-high value of 20.96% under reverse scan (RS) through a reduction in non-radiative recombination probability. These optimized semitransparent PSCs are then employed in MXene-interconnected two-terminal, mechanically-stacked tandem solar cells. The enhanced interfacial carrier transportation, with minimal influence on light transmission, imparted by the MXene flakes allows the tandem solar cells to achieve a stabilized PCE of 29.65%. The tandem cells also exhibit acceptable operational stability and are able to retain ≈93% and 92% of their initial PCEs after 120 min of continuous illumination or storage in ambient air for 1000 h, respectively.  相似文献

Compared with silicon‐based solar cells, organic–inorganic hybrid perovskite solar cells (PSCs) possess a distinct advantage, i.e., its application in the flexible field. However, the efficiency of the flexible device is still lower than that of the rigid one. First, it is found that the dense formamidinium (FA)‐based perovskite film can be obtained with the help of N‐methyl‐2‐pyrrolidone (NMP) via low pressure‐assisted method. In addition, CH3NH3Cl (MACl) as the additive can preferentially form MAPbCl3?xIx perovskite seeds to induce perovskite phase transition and crystal growth. Finally, by using FAI·PbI2·NMP+x%MACl as the precursor, i.e., ligand and additive synergetic process, a FA‐based perovskite film with a large grain size, high crystallinity, and low trap density is obtained on a flexible substrate under ambient conditions due to the synergetic effect, e.g., MACl can enhance the crystallization of the intermediate phase of FAI·PbI2·NMP. As a result, a record efficiency of 19.38% in flexible planar PSCs is achieved, and it can retain about 89% of its initial power conversion efficiency (PCE) after 230 days without encapsulation under ambient conditions. The PCE retains 92% of the initial value after 500 bending cycles with a bending radii of 10 mm. The results show a robust way to fabricate highly efficient flexible PSCs.  相似文献

The optoelectronic properties of perovskite films are closely related to the film quality, so depositing dense, uniform, and stable perovskite films is crucial for fabricating high‐performance perovskite solar cells (PSCs). CsPbI2Br perovskite, prized for its superb stability toward light soaking and thermal aging, has received a great deal of attention recently. However, the air instability and poor performance of CsPbI2Br PSCs are hindering its further progress. Here, an approach is reported for depositing high‐quality CsPbI2Br films via the Lewis base adducts PbI2(DMSO) and PbBr2(DMSO) as precursors to slow the crystallization of the perovskite film. This process produces CsPbI2Br films with large‐scale crystalline grains, flat surfaces, low defects, and long carrier lifetimes. More interestingly, PbI2(DMSO) and PbBr2(DMSO) adducts could significantly improve the stability of CsPbI2Br films in air. Using films prepared by this technique, a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 14.78% is obtained in CsPbI2Br PSCs, which is the highest PCE value reported for CsPbI2Br‐based PSCs to date. In addition, the PSCs based on DMSO adducts show an extended operational lifetime in air. These excellent performances indicate that preparing high‐quality inorganic perovskite films by using DMSO adducts will be a potential method for improving the performance of other inorganic PSCs.  相似文献

Planar perovskite solar cells (PSCs) based on low‐temperature‐processed (LTP) SnO2 have demonstrated excellent photovoltaic properties duo to the high electron mobility, wide bandgap, and suitable band energy alignment of LTP SnO2. However, planar PSCs or mesoporous (mp) PSCs based on high‐temperature‐processed (HTP) SnO2 show much degraded performance. Here, a new strategy with fully HTP Mg‐doped quantum dot SnO2 as blocking layer (bl) and a quite thin SnO2 nanoparticle as mp layer are developed. The performances of both planar and mp PSCs has been greatly improved. The use of Mg‐SnO2 in planar PSCs yields a high‐stabilized power conversion efficiency (PCE) of close to 17%. The champion of mp cells exhibits hysteresis free and stable performance with a high‐stabilized PCE of 19.12%. The inclusion of thin mp SnO2 in PSCs not only plays a role of an energy bridge, facilitating electrons transfer from perovskite to SnO2 bl, but also enhances the contact area of SnO2 with perovskite absorber. Impedance analysis suggests that the thin mp layer is an “active scaffold” selectively collecting electrons from perovskite and can eliminate hysteresis and effectively suppress recombination. This is an inspiring advance toward high‐performance PSCs with HTP mp SnO2.  相似文献

Despite being a promising candidate for next‐generation photovoltaics, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) exhibit limited stability that hinders their practical application. In order to improve the humidity stability of PSCs, herein, a series of ionic liquids (ILs) “1‐alkyl‐4‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazolium” (termed as RATZ; R represents alkyl chain, and ATZ represents 4‐amino‐1,2,4‐triazolium) as cations are designed and used as additives in methylammonium lead iodide (MAPbI3) perovskite precursor solution, obtaining triazolium ILs‐modified PSCs for the first time (termed as MA/RATZ PSCs). As opposed to from traditional methods that seek to improve the stability of PSCs by functionalizing perovskite film with hydrophobic molecules, humidity‐stable perovskite films are prepared by exploiting the self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) formation of water‐soluble triazolium ILs on a hydrophilic perovskite surface. The mechanism is validated by experimental and theoretical calculation. This strategy means that the MA/RATZ devices exhibit good humidity stability, maintaining around 80% initial efficiency for 3500 h under 40 ± 5% relative humidity. Meanwhile, the MA/RATZ PSCs exhibit enhanced thermal stability and photostability. Tuning the molecule structure of the ILs additives achieves a maximum power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 20.03%. This work demonstrates the potential of using triazolium ILs as additives and SAM and molecular design to achieve high performance PSCs.  相似文献

Solution‐processed triple‐cation perovskite solar cells (PSCs) rely on complex compositional engineering or delicate interfacial passivation to balance the trade‐off between cell efficiency and long‐term stability. Herein, the facile fabrication of highly efficient, stable, and hysteresis‐free tin oxide (SnO2)‐based PSCs is demonstrated with a champion cell efficiency of 20.06% using a green, halogen‐free antisolvent. The antisolvent, composed of ethyl acetate (EA) solvent and hexane (Hex) in different proportions, works exquisitely in regulating perovskite crystal growth and passivating grain boundaries, leading to the formation of a crack‐free perovskite film with enlarged grain size. The high quality perovskite film inhibits carrier recombination and substantially improves the cell efficiency, without requiring an additional enhancer/passivation layer. Furthermore, these PSCs also demonstrate remarkable long‐term stability, whereby unencapsulated cells exhibit a power conversion efficiency (PCE) retention of ≈71% after >1500 hours of storage under ambient condition. For encapsulated cells, an astounding PCE retention of >98% is recorded after >3000 hours of storage in air. Overall, this work realizes the fabrication of SnO2‐based PSCs with a performance greater or comparable to the state‐of‐the‐art PSCs produced with halogenated antisolvents. Evidently, EA–Hex antisolvent can be an extraordinary halogen‐free alternative in maximizing the performance of PSCs.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are highly promising next‐generation photovoltaic devices because of the cheap raw materials, ideal band gap of ≈1.5 eV, broad absorption range, and high absorption coefficient. Although lead‐based inorganic‐organic PSC has achieved the highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 25.2%, the toxic nature of lead and poor stability strongly limits the commercialization. Lead‐free inorganic PSCs are potential alternatives to toxic and unstable organic‐inorganic PSCs. Particularly, double‐perovskite Cs2AgBiBr6‐based PSC has received interests for its all inorganic and lead‐free features. However, the PCE is limited by the inherent and extrinsic defects of Cs2AgBiBr6 films. Herein, an effective and facile strategy is reported for improving the PCE and stability by introducing an N719 dye interlayer, which plays multifunctional roles such as broadening the absorption spectrum, suppressing the charge carrier recombination, accelerating the hole extraction, and constructing an appropriate energy level alignment. Consequently, the optimizing cell delivers an outstanding PCE of 2.84%, much improved as compared with other Cs2AgBiBr6‐based PSCs reported so far in the literature. Moreover, the N719 interlayer greatly enhances the stability of PSCs under ambient conditions. This work highlights a useful strategy to boost the PCE and stability of lead‐free Cs2AgBiBr6‐based PSCs simultaneously, accelerating the commercialization of PSC technology.  相似文献

In this paper, double-layered hole transport material (HTM) was designed and fabricated by adding a thin CuInS2 film between perovskite and Spiro-OMeTAD (Spiro) layers. The power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with double-layered HTM of CuInS2/Spiro was improved to 19.63% from 17.97% for the devices with pure Spiro. Moreover, the operational stability of the PSCs with double-layered HTM of CuInS2/Spiro was enhanced. The PCE of the PSCs with CuInS2/Spiro retains 91% of the initial value after 30 days storage in ambient atmosphere. The experimental results indicate that the improved performance could be come from the energy band match between CuInS2 and Spiro, fast hole extraction and transport, and decreased charge recombination in the PSCs with double-layered HTM of CuInS2/Spiro. This work provides a promising prospect to design a low-cost and high stability HTM for commercial PSCs.  相似文献

MXenes are a large and rapidly expanding family of 2D materials that, owing to their unique optoelectronic properties and tunable surface termination, find a wide range of applications including energy storage and energy conversion. In this work, Ti3C2Tx MXene nanosheets are applied as a novel type of electron transport layer (ETL) in low‐temperature processed planar‐structured perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Interestingly, simple UV‐ozone treatment of the metallic Ti3C2Tx that increases the surface Ti? O bonds without any change in its bulk properties such as high electron mobility improves its suitability as an ETL. Improved electron transfer and suppressed recombination at the ETL/perovskite interface results in augmentation of the power conversion efficiency (PCE) from 5.00% in the case of Ti3C2Tx without UV‐ozone treatment to the champion PCE of 17.17%, achieved using the Ti3C2Tx film after 30 min of UV‐ozone treatment. As the first report on the use of pure MXene layer as an ETL in PSCs, this work shows the great potential of MXenes to be used in PSCs and displays their promise for applications in photovoltaic technology in general.  相似文献

3D organic–inorganic lead halide perovskites have shown great potential in efficient photovoltaic devices. However, the low stability of the 3D perovskite layer and random arrangement of the perovskite crystals hinder its commercialization road. Herein, a highly oriented 2D@3D ((AVA)2PbI4@MAPbI3) perovskite structure combining the advantages of both 2D and 3D perovskite is fabricated through an in situ route. The highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 18.0% is observed from a 2D@3D perovskite solar cell (PSC), and it also shows significantly enhanced device stability under both inert (90% of initial PCE for 32 d) and ambient conditions (72% of initial PCE for 20 d) without encapsulation. The high efficiency of 18.0% and nearly twofold improvement of device stability in ambient compared with pure 3D PSCs confirm that such 2D@3D perovskite structure is an effective strategy for high performance and increasing stability and thus will enable the timely commercialization of PSCs.  相似文献

For commercial applications, it is a challenge to find suitable and low‐cost hole‐transporting material (HTM) in perovskite solar cells (PSCs), where high efficiency spiro‐OMeTAD and PTAA are expensive. A HTM based on 9,9‐dihexyl‐9H‐fluorene and N,N‐di‐p‐methylthiophenylamine (denoted as FMT) is designed and synthesized. High‐yield FMT with a linear structure is synthesized in two steps. The dopant‐free FMT‐based planar p‐i‐n perovskite solar cells (pp‐PSCs) exhibit a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 19.06%, which is among the highest PCEs reported for the pp‐PSCs based on organic HTM. For comparison, a PEDOT:PSS HTM‐based pp‐PSC is fabricated under the same conditions, and its PCE is found to be 13.9%.  相似文献

Lead-free 2D antimony-based halide perovskites with excellent optoelectronic properties, low toxicity, and good intrinsic stability are promising for photovoltaic devices. However, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of antimony-based perovskite solar cells (PSCs) is still lower than 3% due to the poor crystallinity and random orientation. Herein, it is found that the Cs3Sb2ClxI9-x films prepared by adding methylamine chloride as an additive to the precursor solution can form a mixed intermediate phase with 0D dimer phase and 2D layered phase after low pressure treatment. During the annealing process, the 0D dimer phase will completely transition to 2D layered phase due to the partial replacement of I by Cl. Compared to adding SbCl3 directly, this method considerably increases the crystallinity of Cs3Sb2IxCl9-x films. The obtained films have a preferential orientation along the (201) direction, which is beneficial for charge carrier transportation. Consequently, the champion device shows a PCE of 3.2%, which is one of the highest efficiencies achieved for inorganic Sb-based PSCs with the n-i-p architecture to date.  相似文献

The recent dramatic rise in power conversion efficiencies (PCE) of perovskite solar cells has triggered intense research worldwide. However, their practical development is hampered by poor stability and low PCE values with large areas devices. Here, we developed a gas-pumping method to avoid pinholes and eliminate local structural defects over large areas of perovskite film, even for 5×5 cm2 modules, the PCE reached 10.6% and no significant degradation was found after 140 days of outdoor testing. Our approach enables the realization of high performance large-area PSCs for practical application.  相似文献
