利用重叠多光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)反射谱的时间同 步性,实现了动态或静态应变信号的高速传感与解调。给出了基于光纤F-P 可调谐滤波器(FFP-TF)的重叠多FBG解调系统及其时域重构的实现方法,重叠多FBG在FFP- TF 三角波扫描电压与动态应 变信号测量时产生时域上等间隔分布的传感脉冲,解调系统采用质心法硬件解算并结合平滑 滤波的方法可满足速度与解调精 度的同时测量需要。在重叠双FBG与500Hz FFP-TF扫描速率条件下 可产生2kHz的传感脉冲,动态应变信号的测量 带宽相对于单FBG解调系统提高了4倍,静态条件下的波长偏移小于±4pm。给出了影响重叠多FBG动态应变信号解调结果失真度的影响因素。 相似文献

The central wavelength of fiber Bragg grating (FBG) must be located in the specified channel band of wavelength division multiplexer (WDM) in optical communication network. Furthermore, the central wavelength also must he stable in the ambient temperature. A temperature compensated fixture Is therefore essential for the application of FBG. By the strength of materials, a theoretical model of the fully temperature compensated fixture can he derived for zero shift of central wavelength of FBG in ambient temperature. Besides, a microtunable mechanism for the pre-pulling force on the FBG is synthesized to adjust the central wavelength to a certain channel band. In this paper, the authors present a detailed theoretical and numerical analysis of an in-fiber photonic device based on micro-structured fiber Bragg gratings for sensing and telecommunication applications. The investigated structure consists in a fiber Bragg grating with a localized stripping of the cladding layer. The thinning of the cladding layer changes the core propagation features and thus it induces a phase delay on the guided mode, leading to the formation of a defect state inside the original grating band-gap in agreement with the phase-shift grating theory. The behaviour of the defect state is ruled by three main parameters identified in the length and depth of the stripped region and the surrounding refractive index. This special characteristic leads to the possibility to realize a new class of active and passive photonic devices. In particular, here, the theoretical and numerical analysis of the spectral behaviour exhibited by the device and its dependence on the perturbation features have been carried out. Particular emphasis has been focused on the effect of the SRI on the spectral response, providing an exhaustive analysis of the potentiality of the device both for sensing and telecommunication applications. In addition, the investigation of standard uniform and strong fiber Bragg gratings has been carried out. Finally, the case of real devices realized by wet chemical etching in hydrofluoric acid solutions was analysed and a spectral equivalence was found to extend the design rules identified for the ideal case. 相似文献

In this paper, a system of linear edge filter demodulation based on weakly tilted fiber Bragg gratings in fiber sensor was proposed. The linear edge of the cladding-mode envelope and temperature characteristic between cladding modes and core mode of tilted fiber Bragg grating (TFBG) were experimentally investigated. The results show that falling edge (1505–1535 nm) and rising edge (1545–1565 nm) of the cladding-mode envelope is approximately linear and can be used as an edge filter. Moreover, the temperature characteristics of the core mode and cladding modes are similar to FBG’s. It can dynamically compensate the temperature induced wavelength shift of the FBG and the effect of temperature on the demodulated sensing signals is minimized. The advantages of this simple system are an all-fiber design, quasi static and dynamic operation, high stability and lower cost. 相似文献

We demonstrated that the thermal stability of fiber Bragg gratings written in hydrogen-loaded standard fibers can be significantly enhanced by preirradiating the fiber with UV beam before writing gratings. Our experimental result shows that these gratings maintained more than 60% of their initial index modulation after 10 hours at 605/spl deg/C. 相似文献
