The metal processing system usually consists of various components such as motors, work rolls, backup rolls, idle rolls, sensors,
etc. Even a simple fault in a single component in the system may cause a serious damage on the final product. It is, therefore,
necessary to diagnose the faults of the components to detect and prevent a system failure. Especially, the defects in a work
roll are critical to the quality of strip. In this study, a new 3-D diagnosis method was developed for roll shape defects
in rolling processes. The new method was induced from analyzing the rolling mechanism by using a rolling force model, a tension
model, the Hitchcock’ s equation, and measurement of the strip thickness, etc. Computer simulation shows that the proposed

In the design of the roll forming process, design errors can be determined in advance by using an FE simulation tool such
as SHAPE-RF. In the case of a product such as a slide rail having a complicated shape and requiring high-precision forming,
a standard is necessary for quantitatively evaluating the quality of the formed shape. In the analysis of the roll forming
process of a slide rail, the pass having the largest deformation is designated as the target pass and the positions and shapes
of the rolls are set as design variables. A minimum number of simulations was performed by using the table of orthogonal arrays.
A cost function was obtained from the results by using the design of experiments such as the response surface method and it
was minimized for satisfying the design constraints. By improving the design of the target pass, the shape of the final product

国内外对燃气流道几何形状优化的研究还比较少,而生产企业一般通过尝试得到参数,缺乏理论依据.对燃气喷嘴出口处气体流动就是先采用二维模型进行的有限元模拟,给出出口处通道内流体的二维数学描述及数值处理方法,并采用四边形结构网格,考核了网格数和时间步长,对不同内部流道型线的喷嘴气体流动进行数值模拟.可以得到,对于窄矩形喷嘴,进口处的形状对流场运动的分布有较大的影响,轴对称收缩喷嘴的收缩角大小主要影响气流出口附近的流动,对流动具有不同的阻滞效果. 相似文献

Simulation of cold rolling of thin strip due to roll edge contact with oil lubrication was performed successfully using a developed influence function method. Roll edge contact and related surface roughness was discussed in this paper. The calculated rolling force, intermediate force and work roll edge contact force increase significantly when the reduction increases. The strip profile becomes poor with a higher reduction, and the calculated rolling forces are consistent with the measured values. A modified edge shape of work roll determined from the roll edge contact length and roll edge flattening value is helpful to reduce the work roll edge wear and to extend the work roll life. Surface roughness and asperity of the rolled strip are characterized by surface profilometer and atomic force microscope. The research shows that the surface roughness reduces with a higher reduction or rolling speed. The effect of the strip width on surface roughness is not significant. 相似文献
