The design and operational testing of valves for the SVC (static Var compensator) to be installed at Kemps Creek substation in Australia are discussed. The most important design principles and features of the thyristor modules are given. Operational tests carried out on the thyristor modules are described; for this test program, noteworthy test circuits have been set up to perform both TSR (thyristor switched reactor) and TSC (thyristor switched capacitor) fault current tests with high test values and special waveforms. As an extension of the synthesis method developed in a previous paper, the transformerless synthesis of reciprocal switched 1-ports is presented in this paper. the transformerless structures of resistance switching n-ports described by impedance, admittance or hybrid matrices have been proposed. These structures enable the synthesis of dynamical switching RC, RL and RLC 1-ports. Using the state variables method, the realizability conditions and identification formulae for constant and sinusoidal input functions have been derived. Three numerical examples illustrate the developed methods. the present theory can be applied to create new thyristor and transistor arrangements, particularly compensators and auxiliary switching LC circuits facilitating the commutation of thyristors and transistors.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this paper, a fast a.c. voltage regulator using thyristor controlled coupled circuits is presented. The load voltage can be stabilized against supply voltage variation above and below the desired level. Boosting or bucking effect is performed in steps but with no distortion or phase-shift in the load voltage. Fine adjustment of load voltage is possible using phase-control in a narrow range (in between the steps). A three limb magnetic circuit is used such that flux of the boosting (or bucking) coil is varied in accordance with the action of a switched secondary circuit. Accordingly voltage current transients in the load circuit are avoided.

Commutation from the outgoing to the incoming thyristor is natural. Selection of the thyristor gating is effected by an electronic circuit which acts within a halfcycle if the supply votlage is varied. Theoretical and experimental investigations are reported and performance of the test model is computed and compared with the test results.  相似文献

Contents Realizability conditions of periodic waveforms presented in previous works are extended for multiport circuits. Formulae for an identification of state matrices and a complete synthesis method are given for RL, RC, and RLC 2-ports switching two times within a period. The synthesis presented in the paper is based on multiport transformer structures with switched windings. The reactance extraction method and state variable approach are used. Six general switching structures of 2-ports have been obtained as a result of the synthesis. The structures and the synthesis method can be applied to create new transistor and thyristor arrangements, e.g. D.C.-A.C. converters, frequency changers and compensators.

Übersicht In dem Aufsatz wurden neue Realisierungsbedingungen der passiven Schaltkreise mit periodischen Zeitverläufen dargestellt. Die Identifizierungsformeln der Zustandsmatrixen für RL-, RC- und RLC-Zweiklemmenpaare wurden dargelegt. Die volle Synthesemethode der Schaltkreise, die zweimal in einer Periode umgeschaltet werden, wurde bestimmt, wobei die Extraktionsreaktanzelementenmethode verwendet wurde. Aufgrund der Synthesemethode wurden sechs allgemeine N-Klemmenpaartransformatorstrukturen bestimmt. Diese Strukturen ermöglichen die Beschreibung neuer Transistor- und Thyristorschaltungen.

由于晶闸管耐压等级高,在高压动态无功补偿装置中广泛使用,由晶闸管串联构成的晶闸管阀,是晶闸管控制电抗器(TCR)的核心器件,在高电压下晶闸管阀驱动电路以何种方式获取能量是高压动态无功补偿装置必须考虑的问题.为了增加晶闸管串联运行的可靠性,设计了一种电压电流取能电路,能够满足TCR在各触发角下均能取到能量,给驱动电路供电,实现晶闸管阀高位系统自供电.利用PSPICE软件建立各取能电路仿真模型,仿真结果表明:高位取能电路能够减少开关损耗,提高晶闸管运行效率,而且能向驱动电路提供电能,为晶闸管阀的驱动电路稳定供电提供了理论基础.  相似文献

为追求更高的传输效率及传输容量,特高压直流输电工程在我国电网中的应用越来越广泛。晶闸管阀作为其中的关键设备之一,必须通过完备有效的型式试验,以确保阀的设计是正确的。在IEC 60700-1标准的基础上,通过对现有运行试验电路的深入调研,开发了一套新的运行试验装置,并将其应用到宁东—山东±660 kV直流输电工程,试验结果表明该工程晶闸管阀的研发是成功的。  相似文献

A design strategy is presented for a switched capacitor module for use in series-compensation schemes. The module offers improvements over existing schemes by utilizing thyristor-switched capacitors to allow fast, reliable and flexible series compensation. It is shown that offset voltages due to reinsertion can be eliminated in several ways, and proper damping prevents thyristor damage. The minimum energy rating required for the metal oxide varistor (MOV) is specified based on the switching capabilities of the thyristor pair  相似文献

A novel concept for a combined short circuit limiter and dynamic series compensator is presented. The device consists of a fixed capacitor, thyristor switched capacitors, and a thyristor switch inductance. The circuit is designed to regulate the impedance in steps. The series compensation is controlled by the capacitors switching on and off, while the current limitation is achieved by the insertion of a resonant LC circuit in the transmission line. The thyristor switches are operated at zero current crossing, which eliminates the harmonics generation. The system operation has been analyzed and realistic components have been selected. The results have demonstrated that the device can regulate the short circuit current. It can be built with commercially available components; the significant operation improvement is expected to justify the cost of the new device  相似文献

This paper describes three circuits that implement pseudo‐logarithmic functions, which are simple and easy to implement. The circuits can be realized using operational amplifiers or current feedback amplifiers. Tuning can be achieved using switched resistors, or active resistors, or tunable transconductors, but are best suited for use with digitally switched resistors. Frequency response and stability considerations for two of the circuits are thoroughly discussed and PSPICE results confirming the theoretical results are presented alongside measured results. An uninterruptible ac supply system consisting of two power sources (static inverter and ac line) and a thyristor switch is presented. The thyristor switch is operated in such a way that the equalization current flow between the sources is prevented. Consequently continuous parallel operation of the sources may be applied. Faults in one of the sources do not affect the voltage supplied to the load. In order to obtain these features the trigger mode of the switch must meet certain requirements. The analysis of these requirements is given and an implementation of the system is presented. Test results are illustrated by oscillograms. The advantages of the system are that 1) load transfer is performed in an instantaneous and smooth way, 2) the system is able to deliver large inrush currents required by the load and to blow fuses in branch circuits of the load, and 3) no voltage monitors are required.  相似文献

随着柔性交流输电和高压直流输电设备在电力系统中的应用越来越广泛,由晶闸管主要组成的高电压大电流电子开关越来越成为人们关注的对象。虽然有不少文献对晶闸管模型研究及其外围电路设计进行了介绍,但有关串联晶闸管反向恢复暂态过程的研究还未见报道。文章在晶闸管反向恢复电流指数函数数学模型的基础之上,对串联的2个晶闸管的反向恢复暂态过程进行了暂态分析、数学推导以及仿真等研究。计算和仿真结果表明,暂态分析是正确的,在一定的精度范围内数学计算公式的假设也是合理的。  相似文献
