一种利用可见光的快速束团横向尺寸检测器(Fast Beam Transverse Profile Monitor,FBPM)正在研制过程中,并用于测量快速束流位置和尺寸,该装置将应用到升级改造完成后的合肥光源。FBPM基于日本滨松公司生产的多阳极光电倍增管(Multi-Anode Photo-Multiplier Tube,MAPMT)R5900U-00-L16,它每个通道拥有的有效感光区域为0.8 mm?16 mm,典型上升时间为0.6 ns,因此拥有足够的空间分辨率和时间分辨率。本文介绍了同步光成像系统,设计了低噪声宽带前置放大器,基于光电倍增管4个相邻通道设计了对数处理算法。离线测试结果表明,透镜焦距的测量误差小于?1 mm,放大器带宽达到420 MHz,4个通道相对参考通道2的增益偏差小于0.2 d B,4通道峰值信号偏差不超过2%。  相似文献

Recently we measured with the Modified Three Gradient Method(MTGM) the beam emittance of an injector constructed in 2012, which was designed to provide a 2.4 kA, 2.6 MeV electron beam. The MTGM is a non-intercept indirect method, which is based on the three gradient type measurements of beam profiles and subsequent data processing which helps to get the least square solution to the beam emittance. Beam profiles under different currents of guiding coil are measured using Cerenkov radiation given off by a piece of quartz glass in the beam tube, which is recorded with a CCD camera. MTGM Code is developed to realize the data fitting as well as beam transport simulation, in which both the σ matrix method and the numerical solution of root-mean-square beam envelope equation are used. The lifetime of an electron beam in an ultraminiature storage ring is calculated by two different methods. The working parameters of the ring are as follows: electron energy E = 45 MeV, radius of curvature of the beam orbit R 0 = 1.947 cm, average beam current I beam  = 20 mA, number of bunches K b  = 1, rms bunch length σ L  = 0.3 mm, transverse rms dimensions σ X  = σ Z  = 0.1 mm. It is established that for magnetic field drop-off exponent n = 0.01 the lifetime of the beam as calculated according to the Touschek effect is 15 times longer than the value obtained using an empirical relation that describes the longest beam lifetime achieved in operating storage rings. By using a two-dimensional particle-in-cell simulation,we demonstrate a scheme for highenergy-density electron beam generation by irradiating an ultra intense laser pulse onto an aluminum(Al) target.With the laser having a peak intensity of 4?×?1023W cm~(-2),a high quality electron beam with a maximum density of 117 ncand a kinetic energy density up to8.79?×?1018J m~(-3) is generated.The temperature of the electron beam can be 416 Me V,and the beam divergence is only 7.25°.As the laser peak intensity increases(e.g.,1024 W cm~(-2)),both the beam energy density(3.56?×?1019J m~(-3)) and the temperature(545 Me V) are increased,and the beam collimation is well controlled.The maximum density of the electron beam can even reach 180 nc.Such beams should have potential applications in the areas of antiparticle generation,laboratory astrophysics,etc.  相似文献

为了向用户提供高品质的同步辐射光,储存环束流应具有好的性能.储存环高频噪声的存在会影响到束流品质.本文基于DKW理论,研究了高频幅度噪声与相位噪声对束流能散度的影响,并分析了束团长度拉伸效应,以及对小间隙插入件U27上微聚焦光束品质的影响.模拟结果显示,位相噪声对束流品质以及辐射光品质的影响比较显著,且阶次越高的辐射光受高频噪声的影响越大.  相似文献

A compact electron storage ring has been studied with tools for 3D electromagnetic field simulation. To produce an intense hard X-ray beam, the electrons interact with a target inside the system. If the impact on the electron trajectory after interaction is small, it is possible to reuse the electron several times as in a conventional synchrotron storage ring. We tracked the electrons in the 3D electromagnetic fields of the storage ring. From our numerical experiments we can determine the maximum thickness of the target materials.  相似文献

In this paper we report the real-time beam loss monitoring (BLM) system at the storage ring of SSRF.The BLM-XS detectors and Ethernet data acquisition system are used in this system.Some applications and experiments of the BLM system are also presented.The BLM system provides dynamic information of beam loss for the storage ring,and is helpful to ensure the facility commissioning,investigate the problems of machine,optimize the machine parameters and further increase the beam lifetime.  相似文献
