To examine whether differences in behavioral responses to stress mediated or moderated the relation between cardiovascular response to stress and parental history of hypertension, 64 healthy undergraduates--16 men with hypertensive parents (PH+), 16 men without hypertensive parents (PH-), 16 PH+ women, and 16 PH- women--participated in a mental arithmetic task, mirror tracing task, and 2 interpersonal role plays. PH+ participants exhibited higher resting heart rates than PH - participants and higher resting systolic blood pressures (SBPs) than PH- women. PH+ participants exhibited greater SBP responses to tasks and engaged in more negative verbal and nonverbal behavior across tasks than PH- counterparts. Differences in behavioral responding neither mediated nor moderated the observed relation between parental history status and SBP response to stress. Evidence suggests a reduced pain sensitivity in hypertensive individuals. This study sought to extend this work to normotensive individuals with hypertensive parents. Men with a positive (PH+) or negative (PH-) parental history for hypertension rated their pain every 15 s during a 90-s hand cold pressor test and for 90 s after the cold pressor test. Systolic (SBP) and diastolic (DBP) blood pressures and heart rate were measured throughout. After the cold pressor test, the men recalled their pain using the McGill Pain Questionnaire. PH+ men showed greater SBP and DBP responses to the cold pressor test. Although pain ratings during the cold pressor test did not differ between groups, posttest reported pain receded faster in the PH+ than in the PH- men. The PH+ men also reported less total pain on the McGill. These findings support the hypothesis that risk for hypertension may be associated with attenuated pain responses to nociceptive stimuli.  相似文献

Examined hemodynamic activity at rest and during arithmetic and cold pressor in 105 male medical students varying in risk for hypertension. Classification into low-, moderate-, and high-risk groups was based on resting systolic blood pressure (SBP) and parental history of essential hypertension (PH). Dependent variables were SBP, diastolic BP (DBP), heart rate, and rate-pressure product (RPP). Progressively greater hemodynamic activity was seen across risk groups at rest and during the tasks. Risk groups differed significantly in SBP, DBP, and RPP at baseline and in size of response to mental arithmetic but not cold pressor. These relationships were either absent or weaker when using either risk factor alone to form risk groups. Hemodynamic reactivity to mental stress appears to be predicted better by a combination of resting SBP and hypertension than by either risk factor alone. A parental history of hypertension has been implicated in the development of hypertension, perhaps by virtue of an elevated cardiovascular response to stress. Similarly, hostility has been hypothesized to be linked to cardiovascular disease through cardiovascular hyperreactivity. The interaction of parental history and hostility in moderating cardiovascular response has been infrequently examined, though research suggests the two may be linked through familial factors. The present study examined the cardiovascular response of 98 healthy young adult males categorized as offspring of hypertensive subjects (PH+) or offspring of normotensive subjects (PH-) and as high or low hostile, based on Cook-Medley Hostility scores (HiHo vs. LoHo). Subjects were exposed to either an harassment or non-harassment stressor. Results indicated elevated cardiac output and forearm blood flow responses in PH+/HiHo subjects who were harassed as compared to any other harassed subject and all non-harassed individuals. This hemodynamic response pattern of elevated blood flow suggests a mechanism of hypertensive disease development.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence, awareness, treatment and control of hypertension among subjects above the age of 39 years living in the urban area of Oporto, Portugal. One hundred and seventy seven individuals from the community were selected by random digit dialing. Each subject was asked about his/her personal history of hypertension, antihypertensive treatment and had his/her blood pressure measured. The prevalence of hypertension was 57.1%, defined by systolic blood pressure (SBP) > or = 140 mm Hg and/or diastolic blood pressure (DBP) > or = 90 mm Hg and/or administration of current the antihypertensive medication. If the values defining hypertension were SBP > or = 160 mm Hg, and DBP > or = 95 mm Hg the prevalence would be 37.9%. The overall prevalence of hypertension was higher in females, but a slightly higher non significant value was found in males in the fifth and sixth decades. Among hypertensives, 62.7% were aware of their condition, 56.7% were treated, 84.2% of hypertensives treated were controlled (SBP < 160 mm Hg and DBP < 95 mm Hg) and 44.7% were very well controlled (SBP < 140 mm Hg and DBP < 90 mm Hg). The question "Are you hypertensive?" had a sensitivity of 62.7%, a specificity of 83.6% and an accuracy of 75.7%. In the preliminary results of this study of an urban population with a high prevalence of hypertension, the awareness of hypertension is similar to that described in the United States of America twenty years ago, the percentage of hypertensives treated is similar to the American percentage fifteen years ago and the percentage of hypertensives treated and controlled is close to the current American percentage.  相似文献

Extended previous findings by R. S. Jorgensen and B. K. Houston (1986) by attempting to identify, through cluster analysis, 2 groups of male undergraduates' parental history of hypertension (PH+) who differed in their profiles of need for approval and their self-reports of the covert experience of anger and display of anger when provoked. The PH+ subgroup with high need for approval (N?=?29) and low anger acknowledgment scored higher on denial but lower on measures of angry temperament and overt display of anger than did the PH+ subgroup with low need for approval and high anger acknowledgment or men without a parental history of hypertension (PH– [N?=?48]). Moreover, the PH+ subgroup with high need for approval and low anger acknowledgment manifested significantly higher stressor-induced BP responsivity than did the other 2 groups. Exaggerated blood pressure (BP) response to exercise in normotensive subjects is considered as a predictor of future hypertension. The aim of the study was to find out whether elevated BP response to exercise is associated with any other haemodynamic, metabolic or hormonal abnormalities. Abnormal BP response to exercise, i.e. systolic BP (SBP) > 200 mmHg at 150 W or lower workload, was found in 37 out of 180 normotensive, male students, aged 20-24 years. Fifteen students with elevated exercise BP (group E) volunteered for further examinations. Their resting and ambulatory BP showed high normal values. Eight of them had a family history of hypertension. Four subjects met the criteria of cardiac hypertrophy. Significant correlations were found between exercise SBP and left ventricular mass index, average 24 h and daytime SBP recordings. In comparison with normal subjects of the same age (group N, n = 13), those from group E did not differ in body mass index, plasma lipid profile, fasting glucose, insulin and catecholamine (CA) concentrations, but had increased erythrocyte sodium content, slightly elevated plasma renin activity and cortisol level. During exercise, E subjects showed greater cardiac output (CO) increases with normal heart rate, total peripheral resistance (TPR) and plasma CA. There were no significant differences between groups in haemodynamic and plasma CA responses to posture change from supine to standing. Glucose ingestion (75 g) caused smaller increases in CO and smaller decreases in TPR in E than in N subjects without differences in BP, blood glucose plasma insulin and CA. It is concluded that young normotensive men with exaggerated BP response to exercise show some other characteristics that may be considered as markers of predisposition to hypertension or factors promoting the development of hypertension.  相似文献

To evaluate the diagnostic value of the postexercise systolic blood pressure (SBP) response for detecting and evaluating the presence of coronary artery disease (CAD), treadmill testing was conducted in 130 subjects with normal blood pressure and 51 patients with hypertension, each of whom underwent selective coronary angiography. A total of 48 subjects with normal blood pressure and 27 patients with hypertension had no significant narrowing of the coronary artery (control subjects), whereas 82 subjects with normal blood pressure and 24 patients with hypertension had significant narrowing (patients with CAD). The postexercise SBP response was defined on the basis of the SBP ratio (i.e., the SBP at 3 minutes of recovery divided by that at peak exercise). An SBP ratio that exceeded 0.90 (cutoff point for discriminating control subjects from patients with CAD) was considered to be an abnormal SBP response. In the subjects with normal blood pressure, the abnormal SBP response identified CAD as accurately as did ST-segment depression. In the patients with hypertension, the diagnostic accuracy was increased significantly by combining the abnormal SBP response and ST-segment depression (p < 0.01). The SBP ratio increased with the number of diseased coronary arteries. Ten of the 14 patients with a narrowing of the left main coronary artery had an SBP ratio higher than 1.00. The postexercise SBP response may be useful for detecting CAD in patients with and without hypertension and for evaluating the severity of CAD.  相似文献

226 undergraduates with and without a hypertensive parent were given printed material about hypertension and the importance of early detection framed in either a wellness or illness-threat format. The major dependent measure was attendance at a blood pressure screening during the week following the experimental session. Results show that parental history (PH) Ss were more than twice as likely to attend the screening when given a wellness message in comparison to threat. In the threat condition, PH Ss also reported that hypertension was less preventable in comparison with Ss without a hypertensive parent. OBJECTIVES: Given the reported relationship between systolic hypertension and orthostatic hypotension in the elderly, to test the hypothesis that systolic hypertension causes impairment of the cardiovascular reflex function additional to the effects of age alone. DESIGN: Responses were compared in normotensive healthy young (n = 12) and elderly (n = 15) participants and elderly participants with disproportionate supine systolic hypertension (n = 11) using a baroreceptor-mediated stress (head-up tilt) and two non-baroreceptor-mediated stimuli (cold pressor test and isometric exercise). METHODS: Blood pressure and heart rate were measured by oscillometry before and during the three stress tests. Forearm blood flow was measured by venous occlusion plethysmography and pulse wave velocity (PWV) by Doppler ultrasound. RESULTS: Percentage changes in systolic/diastolic (SBP/DBP) blood pressure with head-up tilt were 0/+11, -3/0 and -6/+1 mmHg in the young and elderly normotensives and elderly systolic hypertensives, respectively. Both elderly groups had reduced DBP responses to tilt compared with the young (P < 0.01). All three groups had similar percentage changes in blood pressure responses to non-baroreflex-mediated stresses (cold pressor test: +10/+23, +11/+11, +10/+15; sustained isometric exercise: +18/+33, +22/+24, +13/+17 in the young and elderly normotensives and elderly systolic hypertensives, respectively). Aorto-iliac PWV adjusted for blood pressure was significantly higher in both elderly groups compared with the young (P < 0.01) but there was no difference between elderly normotensives and hypertensives. Unadjusted PWV was higher in elderly hypertensives than in elderly normotensives (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Compared with healthy young participants, both elderly groups had similarly attenuated blood pressure responses to tilt and reduced arterial compliance. Systolic hypertension is not associated with additional impairment of cardiovascular reflex function over and above the effects of age. The reported association between supine systolic hypertension and orthostatic hypotension does not appear to be a causative one.  相似文献

The objective of our study was: (1) to compare the influence of moderate exercise on circulatory after-response in mildly hypertensive (n = 8) and normotensive male subjects (n = 9); (2) to examine the circulatory response to 3-min hyperoxic inactivation of arterial chemoreceptors at rest and during postexercise period in both groups. Hypertensive men (HTS) with a systolic blood pressure (SBP) 148 +/- 5 mm Hg, diastolic blood pressure (DBP) 92.4 +/- 4 mm Hg; and normotensive men (NTS), with a SBP 126 +/- 3 mm Hg, DBP 75.6 +/- 1.3 mm Hg, were submitted to 20-min of moderate exercise on a cycloergometer (up to the level of 55% of each subject's resting heart rate reserve). Finger arterial BP was recorded continuously with Finapres, impedance reography was used for recording stroke volume, cardiac output and arm blood flow. In HTS a significant decrease in SBP by 14.5 +/- 3.4 mm Hg, DBP by 8.9 +/- 1.9 mm Hg, total peripheral resistance (TPR) by 0.45 +/- 0.05 TPR u. (33.7 +/- 2.7%), and in arm vascular resistance (AVR) by 11.0 +/- 2.7 PRU u. (35.6 +/- 7%), was observed over a 60-min postexercise period. NTS exhibited insignificant changes in SBP, DBP, AVR except a significant decrease in TPR limited only to 20-min postexercise period. Hyperoxia decreased SBP, DBP and TPR in HTS. This effect was significantly attenuated during the postexercise period. Long-lasting antihypertensive effect of a single dynamic exercise in HTS suggests that moderate exercise may be applied as an effective physiological procedure to reduce elevated arterial BP in mild hypertension. We suggest also that the attenuation of the sympathoexcitatory arterial chemoreceptor reflex may contribute to a postexercise decrease in arterial BP and in TPR in mildly hypertensive subjects.  相似文献

In this study, researchers tested the effects of a moderate dose of alcohol on the spread of activation of associated information in memory using a mediated semantic priming task in which target words are preceded by primes that are either unrelated or indirectly related to the target. Male and female participants with or without a parental history (PH+ and PH-, respectively) of alcoholism were administered the priming task after consuming alcohol or a placebo beverage. Among PH- individuals, alcohol constrained the spread of activation of associated information, as manifested by a reduced priming effect. In contrast, alcohol enhanced priming effects among PH+ participants, though this latter effect appears to be due to a particularly slow response among these individuals to unprimed words. The purpose of this study was to investigate self-disclosure, emotion-focused, and problem-focused coping styles among men with borderline hypertension and two groups of normotensive men differentiated by parental hypertension. Because blood pressure reactivity may discriminate between hypertensive and normotensive men, subjects in these three groups were categorized as high or low cardiovascular reactors based on their blood pressure response to a mental arithmetic task. Self-disclosure and coping styles were investigated in relation to status effects within the doctor-patient relationship. Men with exaggerated blood pressure reactivity were less self-disclosive and used fewer emotion-focused coping strategies than men with no blood pressure reactivity. Normotensives with a history of parental hypertension were less self-disclosive than normotensives without a history of parental hypertension.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: To assess the prevalence of episodes of ST-segment depression in a population of consecutive patients with mild-to-moderate essential hypertension who are free of clinical signs of coronary artery disease. METHODS: The study involved 28 Italian centers that enrolled 414 hypertensive patients (aged 50-70 years; diastolic blood pressure > or = 95-115 mmHg or systolic blood pressure > or = 150-220 mmHg, or both, 10 days after withdrawal of medications). Silent myocardial ischemia was assessed by means of exercise stress testing and 48 h Holter monitoring. An ischemic episode was defined as a horizontal or downward sloping ST-segment depression > or = 100 microV, occurring 80 ms after the J point, and lasting for at least 1 min. RESULTS: Of the 414 patients enrolled, 411 completed the exercise stress test. During the test significant ST-segment depression occurred for 25 patients (6.1%) and all episodes but one were asymptomatic and not associated with arrhythmias. Of the 396 patients for whom we analyzed a 48 h Holter recording, 43 (10.9%) had at least one episode of ST-segment depression and seven of these had also had one during the exercise stress test The median number of episodes per patient was five (range 1-19), median duration was 9 min (range 1-20 min), and the mean amplitude of the ST-segment depression was 190 +/- 180 microV. None of these episodes was associated with symptoms and all of them occurred under resting condition. Patients with (n = 61) and without (n = 335) ST-segment depression during Holter monitoring or exercise stress testing had similar ages (59 +/- 6 versus 58 +/- 6 years) and did not differ for tobacco smoking, plasma lipid levels, blood pressure values and prevalence of echocardiographic left ventricular hypertrophy (57% of patients had left ventricular mass indexes > or = 134 g/m2 for men and > or = 110 g/m2 for women in both groups). Women had a higher prevalence of ST-segment depression than did men during Holter monitoring [32 of 183 (17.5%) versus 11 of 213 (5.2%)], whereas the prevalences of ischemia during the exercise stress test were similar. Female sex was the only significant factor associated with the occurrence of silent myocardial ischemia [odds ratio 2.56 (95% confidence interval 1.40-4.71)]. CONCLUSIONS: Our results show that 15% of patients with mild-to-moderate hypertension, who are free of clinical signs of coronary artery disease, experience episodes of ST-segment depression during Holter monitoring or exercise stress testing. Most of these episodes are asymptomatic and are not associated with the severity of hypertension, the presence of left ventricular hypertrophy, and other risk factors for coronary artery disease. Episodes of ST-segment depression are more common for women than they are for men, particularly during Holter monitoring. The early detection of silent myocardial ischemia by Holter monitoring or by the exercise stress test might be useful for the identification of hypertensive patients who should be investigated further and administered a more specific treatment.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To analyse the efficacy of a sustained release form of isosorbide mononitrate in the treatment of isolated systolic hypertension in the elderly. PATIENTS: 24 patients suffering from essential hypertension and with an average age of 68.5 +/- 1.1 years were studied: 20 male and four female patients, all with isolated systolic hypertension (systolic blood pressure (SBP) > 160 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure (DBP) < 90 mmHg). None of the patients had received pharmacological treatment for their hypertension. None were receiving other medication or displayed concomitant pathologies. METHODS: Assessment of all the patients was made with the measurement of their occasional blood pressure, ambulatory measurement of blood pressure and the measurement of pulse wave velocity in two arterial zones (carotid-femural) by mecanography before and after thirty days of monotherapy with a single 50 mg dose of a sustained release form of isosorbide mononitrate. Four patients were withdrawn from tests due to signs of intolerance to the drug. RESULTS: A fall in occasional blood pressure was recorded, with statistical significance in relation to SBP only: SBP-192 +/- 15.5-->164 +/- 10.2 mm Hg (p < 0.001); DBP-85 +/- 4.2-->83 +/- 5.4 mm Hg. Ambulatory blood pressure readings also showed a significant drop in average SBP readings over the 24 hours: SAP 152.6 +/- 13.6-->140.5 +/- 15.4 mm Hg (p < 0.03); DBP 77.2 +/- 8.7-->72.3 +/- 5.47 mm Hg. No significant changes in pulse wave velocity were recorded for the zones studied: carotid-femural -20.8 +/- 6.0-->21.7 +/- 5.1 m/sec; femural-foot -4.5 +/ -1.4-->4.4 +/- 2.6 m/sec; a marked alteration in the morphology of arterial pulse in the aortic zone was observed, however, with a clear levelling off and reduction of the systolic peak. CONCLUSION: Treatment with nitrates may be a new and effective alternative for the treatment of the age group in question. It acts specifically on the pathophysiological mechanisms of isolated systolic arterial hypertension in the elderly. Changes in reflected wave velocity (retrogrades) seem to cause the significant reduction in SBP, observed in this group of patients.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Left ventricular (LV) preload changes may alter exercise tolerance (ET), probably lessening activation of the Maestrini-Starling mechanism. Reduced LV filling (pre-load) during the diastolic phase, usually impaired in diabetic patients, could affect ventricular function. HYPOTHESIS: To evaluate the relationship between some echocardiographic LV function indices and ET, 24 patients (age 43-75 years, mean 54 +/- 13 years, Group A) with type II diabetes mellitus (DM), not suffering from other pathologies, and for whom the ergometric stress test (EST) resulted in an early interruption because of muscular fatigue and/or dyspnea, and 14 patients (age 38-70 years, mean 53 +/- 12 years, Group B) with type II DM and maximal ergometric stress test, used as control group, were studied. METHODS: The EST was performed by increasing the load by 25 W every 2 min; its duration was used as an ET index and correlated with clinical parameters of LV function obtained with M-mode, two-dimensional, and Doppler echocardiography. RESULTS: No patients in either Group A or Group B showed a high systolic blood pressure value at rest and/or an LV hypertrophy and/or an alteration of systolic functional indices. In neither group was there significant correlation between ET and duration of DM, basal heart rate, basal and max systolic blood pressure, and EF values. Linear regression analysis showed a significant correlation between Doppler parameters of the diastolic function and ET index in Group A, while there was no significant correlation in Group B. CONCLUSION: From these data we can deduce that in absence of left systolic ventricular dysfunction the impairment of LV relaxation in DM can influence exercise tolerance, probably by limiting activation of the contractile reserve.  相似文献

The relationship of parental history of high blood pressure (HBP) to blood pressure (BP) was estimated in three Japanese population samples, totalling 591 men and women aged 20-59 years, from the INTERSALT study. Parental history of HBP was defined as reported HBP by their father and/or mother. With adjustment for antihypertensive medication, body mass index, alcohol intake, and Na/K ratio in 24-h urine, for participants with a parental history of HBP compared to those without a history, BP was higher for three to four age-sex strata, both for systolic and diastolic pressure (SBP, DBP), by 3.3 to 6.8 and 2.7 to 5.5 mm Hg respectively, with four of these six positive associations statistically significant. This finding was stronger for persons aged 40-59 than for those aged 20-39. These data support the judgment that for persons with a parental history of HBP, BP is apt to increase more with age due to combined effects of genetic and environmental factors. Such people especially need to control their lifestyles carefully, including to maintain an optimal intake of salt (eg, <70 mmol/day) and a high potassium intake, to avoid high alcohol consumption, and keep weight moderate, for the prevention of hypertension.  相似文献

Family history of hypertension (positive and negative) and gender groups were compared on cardiovascular responses at rest, during stressors and during recovery. Two tasks were employed, mental arithmetic and an anger recall interview. Both levels and reactivity measures of blood pressure, heart rate, cardiac output and total peripheral resistance were included. In addition, participants filled out several questionnaires measuring state feelings during the task and recovery periods, trait anger/hostility and emotions. Both men and women with a positive family history of hypertension exhibited higher tonic levels of blood pressure and heart rate at rest, recovery and during both tasks. They also exhibited greater heart rate reactivity during the mental arithmetic task and greater blood pressure reactivity to both tasks when post-math recovery, but not initial rest, was used as a covariate. Positive family history individuals reported less trust and gregariousness, more depression and aggression, less awareness of somatic responses to the tasks and less effort to relax during the post-task rest periods. Finally, significant correlations were found between low anger expression how anger experience and high anger control and task SBP levels in positive family history individuals.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the influence of a history of arterial hypertension and the level of pretreatment blood pressure on the efficacy of the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor trandolapril on mortality and morbidity in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) and left ventricular dysfunction. METHODS: Data from the Trandolapril Cardiac Event study, in which 1749 patients with an enzyme verified AMI and echocardiographic evidence of left ventricular dysfunction were randomized in a double-blind manner to treatment with trandolapril or placebo, were retrospectively analysed. Follow up time was 24-50 months (mean 26 months). RESULTS: Four hundred patients (23%) had a history of arterial hypertension. A total of 173 (43%) patients with a history of hypertension died during follow up versus 500 (37%) patients in the normotensive group. Treatment with trandolapril in the hypertensive individuals was associated with a reduction in the relative risk of death to 0.59 (95% confidence interval 0.44-0.80), versus 0.85 (0.72-1.02) in the normotensive individuals. The significant reduction in mortality in hypertensive individuals persisted after multivariate analysis controlling for a broad spectrum of potential confounders. Also, benefit from ACE inhibition increased with increasing blood pressure at the time of randomization. Significant interactions between benefit from ACE inhibition and hypertension history, and systolic and diastolic blood pressure were found. CONCLUSION: ACE inhibition after AMI complicated by left ventricular dysfunction may be of particular importance in patients with a history of arterial hypertension or a relatively high pretreatment blood pressure. However, further investigations are necessary to establish the clinical impact of these results.  相似文献

INTRODUCTION: Previous studies have demonstrated a high prevalence of "white coat" hypertension (20%), but it is still controversial if it implies an increase in cardiovascular risk. PATIENTS: Between 1992 and 95 we prospectively studied 175 untreated hypertensive patients aged over 18 years (V Joint National Committee's stage I-II), and 91 controls. DESIGN AND METHODS: The subjects were submitted to clinical evaluation, ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, 24-hour Holter monitoring, signal-averaged ECG, echocardiography/Doppler and ergometry. "White coat" hypertension was defined as mean daytime (6.00-22.00 H) ambulatory blood pressure < 136/87 mm Hg (males) and < 131/86 mm Hg (females). RESULTS: "White coat" hypertension was present in 29 patients (18%). "White coat" hypertension patients had an identical prevalence of smoking, family history of cardiovascular disease, abnormal ECG and retinopathy (> Keith-Wagener II) as patients with daytime hypertension. Ambulatory blood pressure values (24 hour, 6.00-22.00 h, 22.00-6.00 h, sleep, blood pressure load, heart rate) were all significantly different from controls (p < 0.03 to 0.0007). In patients with daytime hypertension, only 24 hour and daytime diastolic ambulatory blood pressure (p < 0.005) were different from "white coat" hypertension patients. Exercise testing blood pressure values (6 min exercise, maximal, 3 min recovery) were significantly different between "white coat" hypertension patients and the control group (n = 70) (p varying from 0.05 to 0.005) but not between "white coat" hypertension and daytime hypertension (n = 33) patients. Diastolic function was studied only in 39 daytime hypertension patients, 10 individuals with "white coat" hypertension and 34 controls (for technical reasons and because we only analyzed individuals younger than 55 years). E velocity and E/A ratio were similar in "white coat" hypertension and daytime hypertension, but only in daytime hypertension patients they reached a significant difference from controls (p = 0.04; p = 0.01), probably due to the small number of patients. CONCLUSIONS: These data (clinical, ambulatory blood pressure, ergometric, diastolic function) suggest that "white coat" hypertension might not be a benign entity.  相似文献
