Understanding actual geometry of the cutting tool involved in machining is critical to the investigation of the mechanism of cutting process. According to control pattern of the flank and the insert shape, the cutting tools are classified into four different types in this paper including S- and non-S-shaped tools with cylindrical control and conical control. By establishing all the four kinds of tools’ 3-D models, the actual geometry of the cutting tool can be obtained. Research results suggest that the actual geometry involved in machining of the S-shaped inserts whether with cylindrical control or conical control is sphere; non-S-shaped with cylindrical control tools is ellipsoid while non-S-shaped with conical control is paraboloid.  相似文献

Often in the engineering practice, cutting tools bounded by primary peripheral surfaces of revolution are used because of their effectiveness. Among these, ring and tangential tools can be used for the generation of constant pitch cylindrical helical surfaces. In this paper, we present an algorithm for the profiling of these types of tools. The algorithm is based on the topological representation of the tool’s primary peripheral surface. The main goal is to devise a methodology for the profiling of tools whose surfaces are reciprocally enveloping with cylindrical helical surfaces. We present a numerical example for the numerical determination of the axial section form for this type of tools. The application method for this algorithm was developed in the CATIA graphical design environment within which the procedure is developed as a vertical application. In addition, we present a solution for the shape correction of the tool’s axial cross-section by considering the existence of singular points on the profile of the helical surface to be generated where multiple normals to the surface exist.  相似文献

针对实际生产中圆柱齿轮的高速齿廓倒棱需求,提出了连续切削的滚切倒棱新方法,完成了滚切倒棱刀具廓形设计。首先参考圆柱齿轮滚齿加工运动,建立刀具与齿轮的初始位置关系及刀具安装位姿坐标系,并通过倒棱参数与所建的安装位姿坐标系计算刀具安装位姿参数;其次根据倒棱运动及刀具安装位姿,建立空间运动坐标系并推导坐标系间的变换关系,通过连续求解刀具前刀面与齿轮倒棱目标廓形的接触点,提出刀具廓形计算方法;最后选取某型号的圆柱斜齿轮为倒棱对象,利用切削仿真软件完成齿轮及滚切倒棱刀具的三维建模,通过编写仿真运动程序实现倒棱切削仿真,在此基础上利用倒棱机床进行加工实验。仿真及实验结果表明,所设计的倒棱刀具能够满足圆柱齿轮的高效齿廓倒棱需求,也验证了刀具廓形计算方法的正确性。  相似文献

重点介绍了一种新型无齿减速器,结合图解法与解析法并利用简单的空间几何与运动方法,对无齿减速器的核心传动件圆柱凸轮侧向传动机构廓面进行研究。利用半径为Rj的圆柱面截取凸轮的螺旋面得到圆柱面上螺旋线,求解螺旋线方程。通过对圆柱面半径Rj在一定区间范围内连续取值,利用连续变化螺旋线反求螺旋面方程。再利用该方程通过数学工具Mathematica进行圆柱凸轮螺旋线求解与圆柱凸轮轮廓造型。通过数控机床对样品进行试制从而验证研究的可行性。结果表明:圆柱凸轮廓面计算实际可行,圆柱凸轮侧向连续传动机构传动平稳。  相似文献

A magnetorheological fluid-based process is developed for the internal surface finishing of ferromagnetic cylindrical workpiece. The existing finishing processes based on magnetorheological fluid are not equipped to finish the internal ferromagnetic cylindrical surface significantly as it obtained higher magnetic flux density than the MR polishing fluid. At present, magnetorheological fluid-based finishing tools are designed to ensure the maximum magnetic flux density always present on the outer finishing tool core surface as compared to internal surface of ferromagnetic cylindrical workpiece surface. To validate this present principal idea, the magnetostatic finite element analysis has been performed on the newly designed finishing tools. The preliminary experiments have also been conducted to evaluate the finishing performance with the two newly designed finishing tools. The percentage reduction in surface roughness (Ra) values with I-shaped tool core is found as 65–78% after 150 min of finishing, whereas, with rectangular shaped tool core is found as 78–81% after 90 min of finishing. The results clearly revealed that the present finishing tool with rectangular shaped core is more suitable for uniform significant finishing of ferromagnetic cylindrical internal workpiece than the I-shaped core. The developed process can be useful in finishing of cylindrical mold and dies, hydraulic cylinder, barrel for injection molding, etc.  相似文献

提出一种利用曲线拟合技术进行圆柱端面凸轮数字化设计的方法。该方法根据圆柱端面凸轮的结构特点、工作特性,提出先离散运动曲线,再运用Catmull-Rom三次插值曲线进行拟合,最后运用UG软件的二次开发工具和交互技术,对圆柱端面凸轮进行数字化实体建模。该方法修正了凸轮运动曲线连接处的冲击问题,对建立其他复杂圆柱凸轮数字化模型具有一定的参考价值。  相似文献
