空分复用技术被认为是未来实现光纤通信容量升级扩容的关键技术。传输距离是决定空分复用系统应用场景的关键,空分复用系统中信号的传输离不开放大器对损耗的补偿,因此,基于多芯掺铒光纤的空分复用光放大器是空分复用技术走向实用化的核心器件。本文基于改进的化学气相沉积技术结合打孔法制备了七芯掺铒光纤,并搭建了纤芯独立泵浦多芯光纤的放大系统,测试了七芯掺铒光纤的放大性能。在输入信号为0 dBm,泵浦光功率为350 mW的条件下,测得七芯掺铒光纤纤芯在C波段(1526~1566 nm)的平均增益为14 dB,平均噪声指数小于6 dB,不同纤芯间的增益差小于5 dB。 相似文献

在连续光全光纤光学参量振荡器(FOPO)中,目前主要利用可调滤波器(TBPF)等高插入损耗的滤波器件进行边带光输出波长的调谐,这种方式所引起的高环形腔损耗限制了FOPO输出性能的进一步提升。为解决此问题,提出了基于多模干涉(MMI)滤波器的低腔损耗可调谐连续光FOPO。通过选取不同长度和纤芯尺寸的多模光纤制作级联单模-多模-单模光纤(SMS)作为滤波器件,使其在选定波长处的插入损耗小于1 dB,FOPO环形腔的总损耗不大于5 dB,并通过对SMS器件施加轴向拉力的方式调节滤波器件的透射谱,实现了1 494~1 501 nm和1 638~1 629 nm范围内的双边带可调谐连续光输出。 相似文献

对掺镱双包层光纤的吸收特性进行了研究。采用光纤截断法和包层模剥除技术,实现了掺镱双包层光纤纤芯吸收系数的精确测量,测量结果与实际吸收系数的测量误差小于5%。利用白光光源测量掺镱双包层光纤的损耗谱,对其有效吸收系数进行了详细的实验研究,发现有效吸收系数随着光纤长度的增加而减小,随着光纤纤芯直径的增加而增大,在不同弯曲状态下有效吸收系数的测量表明,在弯曲时不同内包层形状的掺镱双包层光纤的吸收特性并不相同,其中D型掺镱双包层光纤对976nm波长的有效吸收系数没有增大。 相似文献

基于马赫-曾德尔干涉仪(MZI)结构,在Matlab软件中,利用优化的迭代算法、Least Pth-norm算法和AMPSO算法,提出一种用于平坦掺Er光纤(EDF)放大自发辐射(ASE)光源增益谱的级联MZI型全光纤滤波器的优化设计方法,并进行了实验研究。结果表明:采用该方法设计的级联MZI型全光纤滤波器可以有效改善ASE宽带光源输出光谱的平坦度,被平坦波段(1525~1540nm)范围内输出光谱的不平坦度小于±0.73dB,整个C波段光谱3dB带宽为36.344nm。 相似文献

设计了一种基于马赫-曾德和光纤光栅滤波结构的掺铥光纤激光器,实现了2 μm波段多波长激光输出。马赫-曾德滤波器由2个3 dB耦合器构成,光纤光栅反射波长为1950.35 nm,滤波器的波长间隔为1.6 nm,激光器阈值为70m W。通过实验证明了采用马赫-曾德结合光纤光栅进行滤波能够有效提高波长稳定性,实验中通过调节偏振控制器能够实现稳定的单波长、双波长及三波长激光输出。1892.2 nm单波长激光的波长漂移和功率漂移分别小于0.6 nm和0.969 dB,边模抑制比为49.75 dB;1902.8 nm和1932.0 nm双波长激光的波长漂移均小于0.4 nm,功率漂移分别小于1.021 dB和2.583 dB;1895.7 nm、1902.5 nm和1931.9 nm三波长激光的波长漂移分别小于0.4 nm、0.3 nm和1.0 nm,功率漂移分别小于2.548 dB、1.441 dB和0.809 dB。输出激光3 dB 线宽均小于0.8 nm。 相似文献

Practical, low-loss (<2 dB), fiber Bragg grating single-passband transmission filters have been realized with >30 dB out-of-band rejection over ~25 mm spectral widths. The approach adopted is based on the concatenation of two or more tailored broadband chirped gratings fabricated with low short-wavelength loss to maximize the rejection and stopband width in a filter with ~1 nm passband. The effect of thermal aging for similar complex structures is considered in the context of three different fiber types: standard telecommunication, high germania (Ge)-doped and boron/germania (B/Ge)-codoped. It is shown that while hydrogenated B/Ge-codoped fiber exhibits excellent photosensitivity, the resulting decrease in guiding strength and thermal stability may make germania-doped fiber the more attractive choice 相似文献

We report an oPtical fiber which guides only one polarization. This fiber polarizer utilizes high modal birefringence (4.7 times 10^{-4} ) to split the two polarizations of the fundamental mode and an ellipitcal depressed-index cladding to provide a steep wavelength-dependent tunneling loss to the fast axis mode. The stress-induced birefringence is created by an elliptical SiO2 -B2 O2 inner cladding. A 4.7-m length of polarizer fiber exhibits an extinction ratio of 34 dB at a wavelength of 633 nm, with polarizing behavior over a bandwidth of 50 nm. Insertion loss of less than 1 dB has been observed for the guided linear-polarization mode. The polarizing band may be shifted from 620 to 525 nm by bending the fiber to a radius of 0.67 cm. Such fiber polarizers should find a variety of applications in fiber sensors, attenuators, isolators, wavelength filters, and tuners. 相似文献

This paper presents a method of synthesizing microwave filters consisting of compact microstrip resonators (CMRs). The synthesizing method is based on the conventional insertion-loss design method and can be applied to the design of filters consisting of symmetrical and asymmetrical CMRs. The synthesizing method can help the designer to determine the appropriate layout according to the specified passband and stopband characteristics of the filter. A new type of CMR layout is proposed to suppress the spurious passband response and is applied to the implementation of a Ku-band filter. The measurement of the prototype shows approximately 1.5-dB insertion loss in the passband and a rejection greater than 40 dB at the specified frequencies. Besides, an asymmetrical CMRs filter operated at Ku-band was also designed and fabricated. The measurement result is also close to the computer simulation result. 基于光纤光栅耦合模理论,采用传输矩阵法对啁啾长周期光纤光栅的啁啾系数和光栅参量(光栅长度、光栅周期和折变量)对其滤波特性的影响进行分析。当啁啾系数处于-0.000008~-0.0004 nm/cm范围内时,可用于宽带带阻滤波器。当啁啾系数处于-0.05~-1 nm/cm范围内时,可用于多通道窄带滤波器。为啁啾光纤光栅滤波器的优化设计提供理论依据。 相似文献

针对熔融拉锥法难以应用于制作特种光纤耦合器的情况,研究设计了一种适用于光子晶体光纤(PCF)或椭芯保偏光纤(ECPMF)等特种光纤耦合器制作的光纤侧边抛磨、侧面熔粘(FSA)耦合方法。通过建立仿真模型优化了光纤侧边抛磨的抛磨区包层剩余厚度等关键参数,利用侧边抛磨单模光纤(SMF)成功制作出FSA侧边抛磨光纤耦合器,并测试了光纤耦合器的相关特性参数。实验结果显示,侧面FSA耦合方法可制作耦合比(CR)为0~90%的特种光纤耦合器;所制作的光纤耦合器附加损耗(EL)小于0.5dB;在100nm光波长范围内,波长相关损耗(WDL)小于1dB;耦合输出端的偏振相关损耗(PDL)在光波长1310nm、1550nm处分别为0.30dB、0.45dB。研究结果验证了光纤侧边抛磨、侧面FSA耦合方法制作特种光纤耦合器的可行性,为有特殊要求的PCF或ECPMF等特种光纤耦合器制作奠定了方法基础。 相似文献

The performance of large-band Fabry-Perot (FP) filters is investigated through numerical simulations and experimental realization. The limitations of the filters are studied theoretically to determine the impact of the chirped fiber Bragg grating (FBG) imperfections on spectral variations of the free spectral range (FSR), finesse, transmission loss, and polarization dependent loss (PDL). All-fiber FP devices are realized experimentally with finesse reaching 240 and covering a spectral band of 26 nm. For finesse up to 80, the filters present acceptable performance in terms of spectral variations of FSR (/spl plusmn/3%), finesse, attenuation (/spl plusmn/0.5 dB), PDL (<0.2 dB), and insertion loss (<3 dB). 相似文献

从耦合模理论出发,分析了980/1550熔融拉锥(FBT)型保偏光纤(PMF)波分复用器(WDM)的工作原理,设计了WDM的制作方法。在FBT台上,通过控制火焰的温度和宽度以及拉伸速度,有效控制WDM的拉伸长度和耦合区结构,用1550nm的PMF和H11060单模光纤(SMF)成功研制了高性能的980/1550PMFWDM。测试结果表明:在1550nm波长上,该WDM具有0.2dB的插入损耗、32dB的隔离度和22.8dB的消光比偏振特性;在980nm波长上,具有0.2dB的插入损耗、14_8dB的隔离度。该器件除了具有SMFWDM的特性外,1550nm端口还具有偏振保持特性,它将促进PMF激光器和放大器快速发展。 相似文献
