The levitation force between a permanent magnet and a superconducting thin film was investigated experimentally. The configuration consisted of a cylindrical NdFeB permanent magnet placed above a circular YBa2Cu3O7?δ disk with common cylinder axis. Precise measurements were made of the vertical force F z and the magnetic stiffness κ z as a function of the magnet–superconductor separation at 77 K. Several features contrasting the levitation force produced using bulk superconductors were observed. Thin films produced very high values for F z and κ z per unit volume of superconducting material. The hysteretic behavior of F z during decreasing and increasing separation resulted in loops of nearly symmetrical shape, which also contain a peak in the repulsive force branch. The observations are analyzed and explained with good quantitative agreement using recent theories for flux penetration in thin superconductors in transverse magnetic fields.  相似文献

This paper defines an effective microwave surface resistance for the nonuniform distribution of microwave surface resistance R s in the strip of a microstrip. It is proved that is equivalent to the expression of R s used in experiments, and that the is dominated by the edge part, i.e., the area of width 2/2t from the strip edge, where is the magnetic penetration depth and t is the film thickness. Under the assumption that where is the component of rf magnetic field along the film thickness and n is an integer, the ratio of the contributions of the edge part and the rest of the strip to is calculated by using an approximate analytical expression of the surface current density distribution J s in the strip and calculated by the London equation. The effect of film's edge on R s was studied using a microstrip resonator. It is found that the perfectness of the edge could affect the magnitude of the power dependence of R s significantly, which agreed with our analysis.  相似文献

The magnetic interaction between a point dipole and a superconducting sphere in the Meissner state is investigated in detail. It is demonstrated that the special case of perfect flux exclusion can be solved by the method of images when the dipole is vertically magnetized. The incorporation of a nonzero penetration depth is then made by developing the solution within London theory. The analytic solution, given in terms of an infinite series representation, is refined by exactly summing the perfectly diamagnetic response. Throughout, special cases of physical interest are discussed and applications to magnetic force microscopy and levitation are described.  相似文献

The magnetic interaction between a point dipole of horizontally oriented moment and a superconducting sphere in the complete Meissner state is investigated in detail. It is demonstrated that the levitation force for this configuration is precisely one half the value of the configuration with vertically oriented point dipole. An extension to other applied fields, still assuming the perfect flux exclusion state, is presented. The onset of superconductivity is 49 K in Cu-doped (but cuprate-plane-free) Sr2YRuO6, almost the same as the 45 K onsets in GdSr2Cu2RuO8 and in R2 – z Ce z Sr2Cu2RuO10 (for R = Gd or Eu), implying that the superconductivity in all four compounds originates in the SrO layers, not in the cuprate-planes. Muon studies show that the superconducting condensate in YBa2Cu3O7 is either s-wave or extended s-wave, not d-wave, confirming earlier work.  相似文献

For a long time the majority view has been that phonons are irrelevant to the mechanism of high-temperature superconductivity. However, recent experimental results, including the neutron inelastic scattering measurements reviewed here, seriously challenge this view. We point out that the electron–phonon coupling in the cuprates can be substantially different from that in simple metals because of the covalency and strong electron correlation. In particular certain phonon branches induce substantial intersite charge transfer that can result in a negative electronic dielectric susceptibility. Such a strong electron–phonon coupling of certain modes could form the basis for the phonon mechanism of superconductivity in the cuprates.  相似文献

The recently discovered superconductor MgB2 with T c at 39 K has great potential in superconducting electronics. In this paper, we review the deposition techniques used for MgB2 thin films in the light of a thermodynamic study of the Mg-B system with the calculation of phase diagrams (CALPHAD) modeling technique. This thermodynamic study identifies a growth window in the pressure–temperature phase diagram, in which the magnesium pressure is very high for likely in situ growth temperatures. A Hybrid Physical–Chemical Vapor Deposition (HPCVD) technique that successfully achieves such a high Mg pressure is shown to produce in situ epitaxial MgB2 thin films with bulk superconducting properties.  相似文献

Under the influence of a magnetic field applied perpendicularly to its plane, a superconducting thin film develops dendritic patterns of penetrated regions that coexist with Meissner areas. For a thin film of MgB2 submitted to an alternate field of moderate amplitude, the AC susceptibility measured while cooling the sample exhibits a quite unusual behavior, reentering and fluctuating with temperature. The effect is more pronounced at frequencies around 1 kHz. Two plausible explanations for the effect are discussed.  相似文献

The electrodynamic response at 20 GHz of c-axis oriented MgB2 superconducting thin films is reported. Mg-rich Mg-B precursor samples were grown on MgO and Al2O3 single crystal substrates by a d.c. planar magnetron sputtering technique, and subsequently annealed in situ at 800°C for 10 min in a In-sealed Nb box in the presence of saturated Mg vapor. The films were characterized by a variety of structural and electronic techniques including XRD, EDS, STM-AFM analyses, and transport measurements. The dependence of the surface impedance from temperature and radiofrequency (r.f.) field amplitude was measured via a dielectric resonator technique. Temperature data clearly confirm the s-wave nature of the newly discovered superconductor, even if the value of the energy gap is smaller than BCS prediction. An effective two-band model can be applied to quantitatively explain the experimental results. In spite of previous reports claiming the absence of weak link behavior in MgB2, the power dependence show that granularity governs the performance of these films in the microwave region.  相似文献

A new behavior of the field dependence of microwave surface resistance (R s), which was observed on a microstrip resonator and may be caused by the edge of the center strip, is reported in this paper for epitaxial high-T c superconducting (HTSC) thin films. The exhibited behavior is that R s remains almost unchanged below a certain rf magnetic field H rf, and then increases abruptly at this field, after which it increases in proportion to H rf. To explain the behavior, the morphology of the microstrip resonator was examined by atomic force microscopy (AFM), which showed that the edge of the resonator was damaged in some regions because of the acid etching. If the damaged edge is considered as a weakened granular superconductor, the observed R s behavior could be explained well in terms of the high-frequency critical state model. This implies that the edge condition should be considered in studying the field dependence of R s when the planar resonator technique is used.  相似文献

The growth of Tl-2201 films on LaAlO3 single crystal substrates has been investigated. The synthesis involved precursor films made by laser ablation that were treated with Tl2O(g) in near-equilibrium conditions. By optimising the method of preparation, we obtained films that were highly smooth, c-axis oriented and epitaxial. The rocking curve of the (0010) reflection had a FWHM of 0.27°. A Tc of 92K was achieved without post-annealing.  相似文献

采用直流磁控溅射法,以P型单晶硅为基体材料,通过调整溅射时间制备出不同厚度的NdFeB薄膜.然后对不同厚度的薄膜运用相关仪器进行表征,结果表明,NdFeB薄膜厚度随着溅射时间的延长呈现近似线性增加,不同溅射时间段的沉积速率近似相同.矫顽力随着薄膜的厚度和Nd含量的增加而增加,薄膜中F的含量由84.01%降至81.65%,Nd含量由10.73%升至13.10%,B含量在5.25%~5.38%范围内浮动.  相似文献

Recent angle-resolved photoemission (ARPES) studies of the high-T c superconductors by the Argonne group are briefly reviewed. First we discuss sum rules to establish a spectral function interpretation of the data, and the use of ARPES to obtain the momentum distribution. We then apply these ideas to the normal and superconducting state spectra for B2Sr2Cu2O8. Among the topics discussed are the Fermi surface, polarization selection rules, bilayer splitting, and the superconducting gap.  相似文献

利用电子束蒸发、离子束辅助沉积和离子束反应溅射三种制备方法制备了单层HfO2薄膜,对薄膜样品的晶体结构、光学特性、表面形貌以及吸收特性进行了研究。实验结果表明,薄膜特性与制备工艺有着密切的关系。电子束蒸发和离子束反应溅射制备的薄膜为非晶结构,而离子束辅助制备的薄膜为多晶结构。电子束蒸发制备的薄膜折射率较低,薄膜比较疏松,表面粗糙度较小,吸收相对较小,而离子束辅助以及离子束反应溅射制备的薄膜折射率较高,薄膜的结构比较致密,但表面粗糙度较大,吸收相对较大。不同制备工艺条件下薄膜的光学能隙范围为5.30~5.43eV,对应的吸收边的范围为228.4~234.0nm。  相似文献

Hole suppliers like Sr in doped La2CuO4 are mainly randomly distributed. Assuming that the holes are dislocated over a few lattice constants away from the Sr atom, the conducting areas form randomly distributed circles in the CuO2 layer planes. Conductivity and also superconductivity can occur only when these circles touch each other and form percolation clusters. Mobile holes are accompanied by diffusing d-electrons. Their spin direction is no longer localized on distinct places, and antiferromagnetism breaks down. The phase diagram of high-T c superconductors is discussed on the basis of a modified continuum percolation model for which the centers of each circle are located on lattice points. The inhomogeneities due to the random hole distributions lead to broad peaks instead of sharp singularities in the static and dynamic response functions.  相似文献

采用射频磁控溅射技术,在不锈钢衬底上沉积制备了(003)取向的LiCoO2薄膜。通过X射线衍射仪、扫描电镜、拉曼及电化学测试探究了溅射功率对LiCoO2薄膜结构及电化学性能的影响。结果表明在80-160 W功率范围内,适当增加功率有助于Co与O的键合,提高薄膜的结晶度。功率为120 W时,首次放电比容量为40.9μAh cm-2μm-1,循环100圈后容量保持率为61.2%;但当功率提高到160 W时,由于过快的沉积速率难以与粒子在衬底表面的扩散速率相匹配反而会造成LiCoO2结晶度下降,晶格产生畸变,阻碍了Li+在材料内部的扩散,循环100圈后容量保持率只有54.2%。  相似文献
