This paper considers the problem of synthesizing proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers for which the closed-loop system is internally stable and the H-norm of a related transfer function is less than a prescribed level for a given single-input single-output plant. It is shown that the problem to be solved can be translated into simultaneous stabilization of the closed-loop characteristic polynomial and a family of complex polynomials. It calls for a generalization of the Hermite-Biehler theorem applicable to complex polynomials. It is shown that the earlier PID stabilization results are a special case of the results developed here. Then a linear programming characterization of all admissible H PID controllers for a given plant is obtained. This characterization besides being computationally efficient reveals important structural properties of H PID controllers. For example, it is shown that for a fixed proportional gain, the set of admissible integral and derivative gains lie in a union of convex sets.  相似文献

In this paper, the issue of designing non-fragile H multivariable proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers with derivative filters is investigated. In order to obtain the controller gains, the original system is associated with an extended system such that the PID controller design can be formulated as a static output-feedback control problem. By taking the system augmentation approach, the conditions with slack matrices for solving the non-fragile H multivariable PID controller gains are established. Based on the results, linear matrix inequality -based iterative algorithms are provided to compute the controller gains. Simulations are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the proposed approaches.  相似文献

This paper addresses the existence and design methods of reduced-order controllers for the H control problem with unstable invariant zeros in the state-space realization of the transfer function matrix from the control input to the controlled error or from the exogenous input to the observation output, where the realization is induced from a stabilizable and detectable realization of the generalized plant. This paper presents a new controller degree bound for the H control problem in terms of the minimal rank of the system matrix pencils of these two transfer function matrices in the unstable region. When the unstable invariant zero exists, this paper shows that reduced-order controllers with orders strictly less than that of the generalized plant exist if the H control problem is solvable. Moreover, this paper shows that the computational problem of finding the controllers with the new degree bound is convex by providing two linear matrix inequality-based design methods (algorithms) for constructing the reduced-order controllers. The results developed in this paper are valid both for the continuous- and discrete-time H control problems.  相似文献

This paper presents an approach for designing stable MIMO H and H2 controllers by directly computing the norm-constrained stable transfer matrices Q in the H and H2 suboptimal controller parameterizations. This is done by first converting the H2 and H strong stabilization problems into some nonlinear unconstrained optimization problems through explicit parameterization of the norm-constrained Q's for any fixed order. Then, a two-stage numerical search is carried out by using a combination of a genetic algorithm and a quasi-Newton algorithm in order to reach an optimal solution. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithms is illustrated through some benchmark numerical examples.  相似文献

This paper describes a systematic procedure for designing speed and rotor flux norm tracking H controllers with unknown load torque disturbances for current-fed induction motors. A new effective design tool is developed to allow selection of the control gains so as to adjust the disturbances’ rejection capability of the controllers in the face of the bandwidth requirements of the closed-loop system. Application of the proposed design procedure is demonstrated in a case study, and the results of numerical simulations illustrate the satisfactory performance achievable even in presence of rotor resistance uncertainty.  相似文献

The H∞ proportional-integral-differential(PID) feedback for arbitrary-order delayed multi-agent system is investigated to improve the system performance. The closed-loop multi-input multi-output(MIMO) control framework with the distributed PID controller is firstly described for the multi-agent system in a unified way. Then, by using the matrix theory, the prescribed H∞performance criterion of the multi-agent system is shown to be equivalent to several independent H∞ performance constraints of the single-input single-output(SISO) subsystem with respect to the eigenvalues of the Laplacian matrix. Subsequently, for each subsystem,the set of the PID controllers satisfying the required H∞ performance constraint is analytically characterized based on the extended Hermite-Biehler theorem. Finally, the three-dimensional set of the decentralized H∞ PID control parameters is derived by finding the intersection of the H∞ PID regions for all the decomposed subsystems. The simulation results reveal the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this study, a PID type controller incorporating an adaptive control scheme for the mixed H2/H tracking performance is developed for constrained non-holonomic mechanical systems under unknown or uncertain plant parameters and external disturbances. By virtue of the skew-symmetric property of the non-holonomic mechanical systems and an adequate choice of a state variable transformation, sufficient conditions are developed for the adaptive mixed H2/H tracking control problems in terms of a pair of coupled algebraic equations instead of a pair of coupled non-linear differential equations. The coupled algebraic equations can be solved analytically.  相似文献

The design of a local H-based power system stabilizer controller, using wide area or global signals as additional measuring information considering time delay, is presented in this paper. The wide area signals are taken from suitable remote network locations where the oscillations are well observable. A long time delay introduced by remote signal transmission and processing in wide area measurement system (WAMS) may harm system stability and degrade system robustness. Three methods for dealing with the effects of time delay are presented in this paper. To provide robust behavior, H control theory together with an algebraic Riccati equation (ARE) approach has been applied to design the controllers. The effectiveness of the resulting robust H-based PSS controllers is demonstrated through digital simulation studies conducted on a test power system. The simulation results show that the proposed controller contributes significantly to the damping of inter-area oscillations and the enhancement of small-signal stability in the presence of uncertainty in time delay under a wide range of system operating conditions.  相似文献

In this paper, we make a foray in the role played by a set of four operators on the study of robust H2 and mixed H2/H control problems for discrete-time Markov jump linear systems. These operators appear in the study of mean square stability for this class of systems. By means of new linear matrix inequality (LMI) characterisations of controllers, which include slack variables that, to some extent, separate the robustness and performance objectives, we introduce four alternative approaches to the design of controllers which are robustly stabilising and at the same time provide a guaranteed level of H2 performance. Since each operator provides a different degree of conservatism, the results are unified in the form of an iterative LMI technique for designing robust H2 controllers, whose convergence is attained in a finite number of steps. The method yields a new way of computing mixed H2/H controllers, whose conservatism decreases with iteration. Two numerical examples illustrate the applicability of the proposed results for the control of a small unmanned aerial vehicle, and for an underactuated robotic arm.  相似文献

The need for on-line information in any environment has led to the development of mobile satellite communication terminals. These high data-rate terminals require inertial antenna pointing error tolerance within fractions of a degree. However, the base motion of the antenna platform in mobile applications complicates this pointing problem and must be accounted for. Gimbaled motorised pedestals are used to eliminate the effect of disturbance and maintain uninterrupted communication. In this paper, a three-axis ship-mounted antenna on a pedestal gimbal system is studied. Based on the derived dynamic model of the antenna pedestal multi input-multi output PID and H linear controllers are designed to stabilise the antenna to keep its orientation unaltered towards the satellite while the sea waves disturb the antenna. Simulation results are presented to show the stabilisation performance of the system with the synthesised controllers. It is shown through performance comparison and analysis that the proposed H control structure is preferable over PID controlled system in terms of system stability and the disturbance rejection.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the robust H2 and H filtering problems for linear discrete-time systems with polytopic parameter uncertainty. We aim to derive a less-conservative design than existing linear matrix inequality (LMI) based sufficient conditions. It is shown that a more efficient evaluation of robust H2 or H performance can be obtained by a matrix inequality condition which contains additional free parameters as compared to existing characterizations. When applying this new matrix inequality condition to the robust filter design, these parameters provide extra degrees of freedom in optimizing the guaranteed H2 or H performance and lead to a less-conservative design.  相似文献

Applying dither to highly nonlinear systems may suppress chaotic phenomena, but dynamic performance, such as convergence rate and disturbance attenuation, is usually not guaranteed. This paper presents a dithered H robust fuzzy control scheme to stabilize chaotic systems that ensures disturbance attenuation bounds. In the proposed scheme, Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy linear models are used to describe the relaxed models of the dithered chaotic system, and fuzzy controllers are designed based on an extension to the concept of parallel distributed compensation (PDC). Sufficient condition for the existence of the H robust fuzzy controllers is presented in terms of a novel linear matrix inequalities (LMI) form which takes full consideration of modeling error and disturbances, but cannot be solved by the standard procedures. In order to solve the LMI problem and to identify the chaotic systems as T-S fuzzy modes, we propose a compound optimization strategy called the island-based random-walk algorithm (IRA). The algorithm is composed of a set of communicating random-walk optimization procedures concatenated with the down-hill simplex method. The design procedure and validity of the proposed scheme is demonstrated via numerical simulation of the dithered fuzzy control of a chaotic system.  相似文献

This paper proposes a novel tuning strategy for robust proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controllers based on the augmented Lagrangian particle swarm optimization (ALPSO). First, the problem of PID controller tuning satisfying multiple H performance criteria is considered, which is known to suffer from computational intractability and conservatism when any existing method is adopted. In order to give some remedy to such a design problem without using any complicated manipulations, the ALPSO based robust gain tuning scheme for PID controllers is introduced. It does not need any conservative assumption unlike the conventional methods, and often enables us to find the desired PID gains just by solving the constrained optimization problem in a straightforward way. However, it is difficult to guarantee its effectiveness in a theoretical way, because PSO is essentially a stochastic approach. Therefore, it is evaluated by several simulation examples, which demonstrate that the proposed approach works well to obtain PID controller parameters satisfying the multiple H performance criteria.  相似文献

The notion of intuitionistic fuzzy sets introduced by Atanassov is one among them. In this paper, we apply the concept of an intuitionistic fuzzy set to Hv-modules. The notion of an intuitionistic fuzzy Hv-submodule of an Hv-module is introduced, and some related properties are investigated. In this paper, the H consensus control and H2 robust control synthesised with transient performance problems are investigated for a group of autonomous agents with linear or linearised dynamics. Based on the relative information between neighbouring agents and a subset of absolute information of the agents, distributed controllers are proposed for both H and H2 cases. Compared with the existing protocols, the one presented in this article focuses on improving the transient performance of the consensus problem. By using the tools from matrix analysis and robust control theory, conditions for the existence of controllers to those problems under an undirected communication topology are provided. Then, it is shown that the H2 performance limit of uncertain systems under a distributed controller equals the minimum H consensus index synthesised with transient performance of a single agent by using a state feedback controller, independent of the communication topology. Finally, a simulation example as an application in Raptor-90 helicopter is proposed to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.  相似文献

A robust H control for uncertain linear systems with a state-delay is described. Systems with norm-bounded parameter uncertainties are considered and linear memoryless state feedback controllers are obtained. Firstly, a delay-dependent bounded real lemma for systems with a state-delay is presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). By taking a new Lyapunov-Krasovsii functional, neither model transformation nor bounding for cross terms is required to obtain delay-dependent results. Secondly, based on the bounded real lemma obtained, delay-dependent condition for the existence of robust H control is presented in terms of nonlinear matrix inequalities. In order to solve these nonlinear matrix inequalities, an iterative algorithm involving convex optimization is proposed. Numerical examples show that the proposed methods are much less conservative than existing results.  相似文献

The problems of relaxed quadratic stability conditions, fuzzy observer designs and H controller designs for T-S fuzzy systems have been studied. First new stability conditions are obtained by relaxing the stability conditions derived in previous papers. Secondly, new fuzzy observers based on the relaxed stability conditions for the T-S fuzzy systems have been proposed. Thirdly two sufficient LMI conditions, which guarantee the existence of the H controllers based on fuzzy observers for the T-S fuzzy systems have been proposed. The conditions are not only simple, but also consider the interactions among the fuzzy subsystems. Finally by some examples, using the LMI technique, we show that the regulators, the fuzzy observers and the H controller designs based on new observers for the T-S fuzzy systems are very practical and efficient.  相似文献
