This article develops a new sampling scheme by variables inspection, namely a quick switching sampling (QSS) system based on the process yield index for lot determination when the quality characteristic is normally distributed with two specification limits. The QSS system can provide a flexible sampling procedure by switching decision policies, normal inspection and tightened inspection. The operating characteristic curve of the proposed QSS system is derived and required to pass through two designed points, acceptable quality level and limiting quality level for satisfying risks simultaneously suffered by the producer and the consumer. The proposed sampling system’s performance is investigated and a comparison with the conventional variables single sampling (VSS) plan is also examined. The results indicate that the proposed system outperforms the VSS plan by requiring a smaller sample size for inspection while retaining the same protection. For practical purposes, the plan parameters’ tables are provided on the basis of various selected quality requirements and risks. Finally, we demonstrate the proposed sampling system using an example taken from a silicone LED lens industry.  相似文献

This paper considers an inspection policy for a single component protection or preparedness system, in which the component arises from a heterogeneous population. At any point in time, the system may be in one of three states, good, defective or failed. The system is only required in an emergency, and in order to ensure high availability of the system on-demand, the system undergoes a sequence of inspections. Inspection determines the system state, so that if a transition from the good state occurs between inspections it is not revealed until subsequent inspection. When a defect or failure is revealed, the component is replaced. At the final inspection the component is replaced. We suppose that a component may be either weak or strong, so that the time in the good state has a distribution that is a mixture. In these circumstances, the efficacy of a two-phase inspection policy, with an anticipated high inspection frequency in early life and low inspection frequency in later life, is considered using availability and cost criteria. The policy is investigated in the context of a valve in a natural gas supply network. If the lifetime distributions in the mixture are quite distinct, then cost savings of the order of 5% can be achieved by using the two-phase policy in place of the simpler single phase policy. Furthermore, only if the mean time in the defective state is small or the required availability is very high does the two-phase policy tend to mimic a burn-in policy.  相似文献

As a means of providing protection for both the producer and the consumer, for example as in airport security, 100% inspection plays an important role in today's environment. The same is true for some industrial or other decision-making processes where the consequences of excessive deviations from target values are very high. Motivated by Deming's “all or none” inspection rule and associated philosophy for quality improvement, we develop an inspection strategy by considering the costs to both the producer and the customer, and thus to the whole system. A general optimization model is formulated to determine whether 100% inspection is to be performed or no inspection to be performed. If complete inspection is chosen then the optimal specification limits can be determined at the same time. Specifically, we consider two types of asymmetric quality loss functions for the “target the best” quality characteristic: the asymmetric quadratic quality loss function, and the asymmetric piecewise linear loss function. For each loss function, we propose an optimization model to determine the optimal process mean and specification limits. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the proposed models that can be used to improve the quality of the output of any process.  相似文献

针对现有巡线机器人无法完全跨越所有地线障碍物的现状,提出一种新的巡线机器人越障方案.巡线机器人由单臂机构提供行走驱动力,双臂机构完成越障任务.该方案具有跨越所有障碍,且越障时动作简单,所需驱动力少的特点.通过理论分析及软件仿真的方法对巡线机器人越障关键环节进行分析,得到机器人越障过程的运动特性.在此基础上,制作出试验样机,并在模拟线路上进行越障实验,结果表明:该设计方案能完成预定的越障功能.证明了这种新的越障方案的有效性及可行性.  相似文献

Cracking in a limited number of common portable aluminum gas cylinders has led to leaks and, on occasion, to violent and sometimes fatal failures. This paper describes the failure process and develops a model for crack growth. The model crack growth rates are much higher than those previously determined by small specimen testing. The levels for a threshold stress intensity below which no growth can occur are also introduced. The inspection procedures and protection strategies for the aluminum gas cylinders are discussed. The system has become both cumbersome and possibly expensive for what it is achieving. There has been no cost benefit assessment of the entire system.  相似文献

Thin inorganic barrier films deposited on plastics are essential to provide protection from moisture- and oxygen-aided degradation while maintaining a flexible substrate. Mechanical bending of the barrier films, causes stress-induced cracks that may lead to significant reduction or loss of barrier protection. In-situ characterization of film cracking on the nanoscale, transparent, and conformal atomic-layer-deposited (ALD) thin films is challenging especially when these films are in a buried layer structure. We developed a technique that can inspect in real-time the cracking of the stressed barrier films using laser scanning confocal microscopy. The in-situ inspection avoids the inaccurate measurement of the crack onset strain associated with the crack “close-up” phenomenon. SU8 cover-coat is applied to form a buried ALD layer structure and in-situ inspection demonstrates the cracking of the ALD film in real-time underneath the cover-coat. This technique is nondestructive, versatile, and allows rapid and large-area inspection of different types of barrier films.  相似文献

目的针对传统人工方法进行运动器械生产线检验存在的缺点,设计一种用于运动器械出厂包装生产线的检验系统。方法将RFID射频技术、可视化软件和数据管理技术进行结合,利用RFID高效读写功能对生产线上输送的出厂器械进行有效的产品检验、产品管理和人员管理,以提升生产工厂智能化水平。结果经实际运行验证,该系统可自动完成40台器械产品的检验管理。结论所设计的检验系统运行稳定可靠,可以有效提升检验效率。  相似文献
