文中提出一种基于2-FSK/4-PSK调制的比特交织编码调制系统(BICM)。理论分析和计算机仿真表明无论在AWGN信道或是Rayleigh衰落信道下,通过合理控制2-FSK/4-PSK调制,BICM系统的性能都有所提高,且在衰落信道下新系统将达到基于8PSK调制的BICM-ID系统多次迭代的效果。 相似文献

研究了Turbo码与网格编码调制(TCM)相结合的Turbo-TCM技术,将Turbo码中三类奇偶交织器的设计分别应用到Turbo-TCM中,并在Awgn信道和Rayleigh衰落信道下,对采用三种不同交织方式、不同帧长Turbo-TCM的性能进行了仿真。仿真结果表明,短帧条件下,Awgn信道中采用确定性奇偶交织器的Turbo-TCM性能最优,而Rayleigh衰落信道中三种交织方式的Turbo-TCM性能相近。长帧条件下,Awgn信道和Rayleigh衰落信道中,基于随机奇偶交织器的Tur-bo-TCM性能最优。 相似文献

本文提出了在移动衰落信道中设计多级编码(MLC)方案的一种非欧度量:"信道容量规则"+"映射规则".在AWGN信道中为:"信道容量规则"+"UP(Ungerboeck Partitioning) 规则";在Rayleigh衰落信道中为:"信道容量规则"+"BP(Block Partitioning)规则".并在此理论指导下,选用不同码长的BCH码作为MLC系统中各级分量码,通过计算机模拟,比较了在AWGN和Rayleigh衰落信道中,采用8ASK调制方式、多级译码(MSD)、三种不同映射方法下的三级MLC方案的性能. 相似文献

采用(2,1,7)卷积码构建了一种实用性较强的BICM(比特交织编码调制)算法。首先对该算法进行了数值仿真,证明了在瑞利信道条件下BICM-ID(BICM的硬判决反馈迭代译码)算法的性能优于TCM(网格编码调制)的性能;然后将BICM-ID应用于SW(短波)数据链中,针对BICM-ID和SW数据链的特点,分析了交织长度、符号映射方式及迭代次数对BICM-ID性能的影响;最后利用DSP(数字信号处理器)实现了BICM-ID算法,给出了不同码率和不同数据量情况下的译码时间,结果表明,译码时间均满足数据链实时性要求。 相似文献

We consider bit-interleaved coded modulation with iterative decoding (BICM-ID) for bandwidth-efficient transmission over Rayleigh fading channels. We propose the design criteria that utilize a large Hamming distance inherited in a low-rate code and a new labeling technique designed specifically for fading channels. This results in a large coding gain over noniterative coded modulation and performance close to that of “turbo” coded modulation with less complexity. We also show that BICM-ID designed for fading channels usually has a very good performance over the additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) channel while the converse is difficult to achieve. When combined with signal space diversity, diversity order can be improved to twice the diversity order of conventional BICM-ID; therefore, the code complexity can further be reduced while maintaining the same level of performance. Specifically, with the bandwidth efficiency of 2 bits/s/Hz over Rayleigh fading channels, a bit error rate (BER) of 10-6 can be achieved with 16-QAM, a four-state rate 1/2 code at Eb/N0 of about seven dB. We also derive performance bounds for BICM-ID with and without signal space diversity over Rayleigh fading channels, which can be easily extended for other types of fading channels 相似文献

There has been a growing interest in the use of chaotic techniques for enabling secure communication in recent years. This need has been motivated by the emergence of a number of wireless services which require the channel to provide very low bit error rates (BER) along with information security. As more and more information is transacted over wireless media, there has been increasing criminal activity directed against such systems. This paper investigates the feasibility of using chaotic communications over Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) channels. We have studied the performance of differential chaos shift keying (DCSK) with 2×2 Alamouti scheme and 2×1 Alamouti scheme for different chaotic maps over additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN) and channels disturbed by Rayleigh fading. Both the inherently wideband DCSK modulation and the space-time block code (STBC) are techniques that can mitigate the effect of multipath fading. The use of these schemes allows us to enhance security without degrading the BER performance for Rayleigh fading channels. We have employed an exact method to analyze the performances of DCSK communication system over fading channel. Our simulations indicate that the combination of the STC and tent map provides the best BER performance in addition to security when compared to the choice of other maps. Hence, this study shows that the use of these schemes can allow the user to enhance security without degrading the BER performance while communicating over these channels. 相似文献

Bit-interleaved coded modulation with iterative decoding (BICM-ID) using signal space diversity (SSD) is considered for cascaded Rayleigh fading channels. A tight bound on the asymptotic error probability is derived to determine the optimal rotation matrix for SSD design and to identify the key parameters that influence the system performance. It is shown that, for small modulation constellation, a cascaded Rayleigh fading causes a much more severe performance degradation than a conventional Rayleigh fading. However, BICM-ID employing SSD with a sufficiently large constellation can close the performance gap between the conventional and cascaded Rayleigh fading channels, and their performance can closely approach that over an AWGN channel. Illustrative simulation results for various scenarios are in a good agreement with analytical derivations. 相似文献

We propose to investigate the performance of bit-interleaved coded modulation with iterative decoding (BICM-ID) over Rayleigh fading channel by using constellation shaping (CS). The (CS) is implemented by inserting shaping block codes between mapping and channel coding functions, in order to generate non-equiprobable distribution of a 16-ary QAM signal constellation. Simulation results carried out on 2-bit/s/Hz 16-QAM BICM-ID indicate that is possible to obtain a gain of 1.2 dB at a BER of 10-3 compared to the equiprobable 16-QAM BICM-ID schemes. We have suggested bit-interleaved coded modulation with soft decision iterative decoding (BICM-ID) for bandwidth-efficient transmission over Gaussian and fading channels. Unlike trellis coded modulation, BICM-ID has a small free Euclidean distance but large diversity order due to bit interleaving. With iterative decoding, soft bit decisions can be employed to significantly improve the conditional intersignal Euclidean distance. This leads to a large coding gain, comparable to that of turbo TCM, over both Gaussian and Rayleigh fading channels with much less system complexity. We address critical design issues to enhance the decoding performance and provide the analytical bounds on the performance with an ideal feedback assumption. We investigate the performance characteristics of BICM-ID through extensive simulations and show that at high signal to noise ratios, the performance of BICM-ID converges to the performance assuming error-free feedback. 相似文献

In this paper, we investigate a new digital communication system based on Walsh-Hadamard codes. The modulator maps a uniformly distributed binary source to a set of symbols with a Gaussian-like distribution. These symbols are then mapped to a 2-D constellation in such a way that performance is improved when transmission occurs over Rayleigh fading channels. We assess the performance of these modulation schemes when the channel is of the nonfrequency-selective Rayleigh fading plus white Gaussian noise type and compare the results to conventional quadrature-amplitude modulation (QAM) schemes with comparable spectral efficiencies. The proposed system provides excellent robustness to fading without the use of common diversity schemes employed in M-ary signaling systems to improve bit-error-rate (BER) performance in such environments. 相似文献

Bit-Interleaved Coded Modulation with Iterative Decoding (BICM-ID) is a bandwidth efficient transmission, where the bit error rate is reduced through the iterative information exchange between the inner demapper and the outer decoder. The choice of the symbol mapping is the crucial design parameter. This paper indicates that the Harmonic Mean of the Minimum Squared Euclidean (HMMSE) distance is the best criterion for the mapping design. Based on the design criterion of the HMMSE distance, a new search algorithm to find the optimized labeling maps for BICM-ID system is proposed. Numerical results and performance comparison show that the new labeling search method has a low complexity and outperforms other labeling schemes using other design criterion in BICM-ID system, therefore it is an optimized labeling method. 相似文献

The performance and design of turbo codes using coherent BPSK signaling on the Rayleigh fading channel is considered. In low signal-to-noise regions, performance analysis uses simulations of typical turbo coding systems. For higher signal-to-noise regions beyond simulation capabilities, an average upper bound is used in which the average is over all possible interleaving schemes. Fully interleaved and exponentially correlated Rayleigh channels are explored. Furthermore, the design issues relevant to turbo codes are examined for the correlated fading channel. A number of wireless systems have recently adopted adaptive modulation (AM) schemes to improve its efficiency. In this letter, our aim is to study the impact Doppler spread and adaptive modulation has on transmission control protocol (TCP) throughput in Rayleigh fading channels. We consider a finite state Markov channel (FSMC) model, which is a useful model for analyzing radio channel with nonindependent fading. Furthermore, we use a Markov model for TCP evolution and evaluate the TCP performance by computer simulations. In our simulations we have compared the TCP Reno scheme with TCP Tahoe scheme. The results indicate that a large Doppler spread leads to lower TCP throughput due to more frequent transitions of channel states and modulation schemes which make it difficult for the TCP congestion control mechanism to accommodate the dynamic link characteristics. 相似文献
