Preparation of Copper Nanoparticles Using Dielectric Barrier Discharge at Atmospheric Pressure and its Mechanism简 总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
Dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) cold plasma at atmospheric pressure was used for preparation of copper nanoparticles by reduction of copper oxide (CuO). Power X-ray diffraction (XRD) was used to characterize the structure of the copper oxide samples treated by DBD plasma. Influences of H2 content and the treating time on the reduction of copper oxide by DBD plasma were investigated. The results show that the reduction ratio of copper oxide was increased initially and then decreased with increasing H2 content, and the highest reduction ratio was achieved at 20% H2 content. Moreover, the copper oxide samples were gradually reduced by DBD plasma into copper nanoparticles with the increase in treating time. However, the average reduction rate was decreased as a result of the diffusion of the active hydrogen species. Optical emission spectra (OES) were observed during the reduction of the copper oxide samples by DBD plasma, and the reduction mechanism was explored accordingly. Instead of high-energy electrons, atomic hydrogen (H) radicals, and the heating effect, excited-state hydrogen molecules are suspected to be one kind of important reducing agents. Electric discharge in water can generate a large number of oxidants such as ozone, hydrogen peroxide and hydroxyl radicals. In this paper, a non-thermal plasma processing system was established by means of pulsed dielectric barrier discharge in gas-liquid phase. The electrodes of discharge reactor were staggered. The yield of H2O2 was enhanced after discharge. The effects of discharge time, discharge voltage, frequency, initial pH value, and feed gas were investigated. The concentration of hydrogen peroxide and ozone was measured after discharge. The experimental results were fully analyzed. The chemical reaction equations in water were given as much as possible. At last, the water containing Rhodamine B was tested in this system. The degradation rate came to 94.22% in 30 min. 相似文献

Nowadays atmospheric pressure plasma jets (APPJs) are being widely applied to many fields and have received growing interests from cold plasma community. A helium APPJ with co-axial double ring electrode configuration is driven by an AC high voltage power with an adjustable frequency of 1-60 kHz. Experiments are conducted for acquiring the electrical and optical properties of APPJ, including the discharge mode, current peak's phase and APPJ's length, etc. Moreover, the actions of Penning effect on APPJ are discussed by adding impurity nitrogen into highly pure helium. The results may contribute to further research and aPPlications of APPJs. 相似文献

Polymer thin film deposition using an atmospheric pressure micro-plasma jet driven by dual-frequency excitations is described in this paper. The discharge process was operated with a mixture of argon (6 slm) and a small amount of acetone (0-2100 ppm). Plasma composition was measured by optical emission spectroscopy (OES). In addition to a large number of Ar spectra lines, we observed some spectra of C, CN, CH and C2. Through changing acetone content mixed in argon, we found that the optimum discharge condition for deposition can be characterized by the maximum concentration of carbonaceous species. The deposited film was characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. The XPS indicated that the film was mostly composed of C with trace amount of O and N elements. The FTIR suggested different carbon-containing bonds (-CHx, C=O, C=C, C-O-C) presented in the deposited film. 相似文献

A new contact glow discharge electrode employed in this study. Because of the strong field the electrode and the water surface, glow discharge on the surface of water was designed and strength in the small air gap formed by plasmas were generated and used to treat waste water. The electric field distribution of the designed electrode model was simulated by MAXWELL 3D~ simulation software, and the discharge parameters were measured. Through a series of experiments, we investigated the impact of optimal designs, such as the dielectric of the electrode, immersion depths, and curvature radii of the electrode on the generation characteristics of plasmas. In addition, we designed an equipotential multi-electrode configuration to treat a Methyl Violet solution and observe the discoloration effect. The experimental and simulation results indicate that the designed electrodes can realize glow discharge with a relative low voltage, and the generated plasmas covered a large area and were in stable state. The efficiency of water treatment is improved and optimized with the designed electrodes. 相似文献

This study investigated the effect of cold helium plasma treatment on seed germina- tion, growth and yield of wheat. The effects of different power of cold plasma on the germination of treated wheat seeds were studied. We found that the treatment of 80 W could significantly improve seed germination potential (6.0%) and germination rate (6.7%) compared to the control group. Field experiments were carried out for wheat seeds treated with 80 W cold plasma. Com- pared with the control, plant height (20.3%), root length (9.0%) and fresh weight (21.8%) were improved significantly at seedling stage. At booting stage, plant height, root length, fresh weight, stem diameter, leaf area and leaf thickness of the treated plant were respectively increased by 21.8%, 11.0%, 7.0%, 9.0%, 13.0% and 25.5%. At the same time, the chlorophyll content (9.8%), nitrogen (10.0%) and moisture content (10.0%) were higher than those of the control, indicating that cold plasma treatment could promote the growth of wheat. The yield of treated wheat was 7.55 t-ha-1, 5.89% more than that of the control. Therefore, our results show that cold plasma has important application prospects for increasing wheat yield. 相似文献

A numerical model of radiation has been adopted for electrothermM-chemical (ETC) launcher, in which Monte Carlo method and statistical physics are employed to simulate the process of a capillary plasma source in an ETC launcher. The effect on propellant grains with different average absorption coefficients is discussed. The plasma-propellant interaction is also discussed when combined with a thermal model. Results show that the strong instantaneous radiation is responsible for the transmission of energy to the propellant grains leading to ignition. The efficiency of energy absorption in the propellant bed always maintains a high level. Radiant energy caused by plasma is concentrated around the plaslna injector. And the "hot zone" efficiency is mainly affected by the properties of propellant grains within a small field around the plasma injector. 相似文献

Based on magnetron hollow cathode discharge, the magnetic condition of glow plasma generation in high vacuum, including both direction and magnitude of the applied mag- netic field, is theoretically derived and experimentally evaluated in this paper. Single particle orbital theory is introduced to discuss the possibilities to generate glow plasma at gas pressure under 10-2 Pa when the magnetic field direction is parallel or perpendicular or oblique to the electric field direction. A quantitative estimation criterion of magnetic induction intensity is also proposed in theory. The comparison with experiments suggests that glow plasma in high vacuum will form more easily in oblique magnetic field condition and that the criterion is accurate enough to estimate magnetic induction intensity at a certain gas pressure. 相似文献

A cylindrical hollow cathode discharge (HCD) in CH4/Ar gas mixture at pressure of 20-30 Pa was used to deposit diamond-like carbon (DLC) films on the inner surface of a stainless steel tube. The characteristics of the HCD including the voltage-current curves, the plasma im- ages and the optical emission spectrum (OES) were measured in Ar and CHn/Ar mixtures. The properties of DLC films prepared under different conditions were analyzed by means of Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that the electron exci- tation temperature of HCD plasma is about 2400 K. DLC films can be deposited on the inner surface of tubes. The ratio of sp3/sp2 bonds decreases with the applied voltage and the deposition time. The optimizing CH4 content was found to be around CH4/Ar =1/5 for good quality of DLC films in the present system. 相似文献

Abstract The gas phase nucleation process of anatase TiO2 in atmospheric non-thermal plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition is studied. The particles synthesized in the plasma gas phase at different power density were collected outside of the reactor. The structure of the collected particles has been investigated by field scanning electron microscope (FESEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and selected area electron diffraction (SAED). The analysis shows that uniform crystalline nuclei with average size of several nanometers have been formed in the scale of micro second through this reactive atmo- spheric plasma gas process. The crystallinity of the nanoparticles increases with power density. The high density of crystalline nanonuclei in the plasma gas phase and the low gas temperature are beneficial to the fast deposition of the 3D porous anatase TiO2 film. 相似文献

Non-thermal plasmas under atmospheric pressure are of great interest in polymer surface processing because of their convenience, effectiveness and low cost. In this paper, the treatment of Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film surface for improving hydrophilicity using the non-thermal plasma generated by atmospheric pressure glow discharge (APGD) in air is conducted. The discharge characteristics of APGD are shown by measurement of their electrical discharge parameters and observation of light-emission phenomena, and the surface properties of PET before and after the APGD treatment are studied using contact angle measurement, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). It is found that the APGD is homogeneous and stable in the whole gas gap, which differs from the commonly filamentary dielectric barrier discharge (DBD). An atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma jet generator using air flow as the feedstock gas was applied to decontaminate the chemical agent surrogates on the surface of aluminum, stainless steel or iron plate painted with alkyd or PVC. The experimental results of material decontamination show that the residual chemical agent on the material is lower than the permissible value of the National Military Standard of China. In order to test the corrosion effect of the plasma jet on different material surfaces in the decontamination process, corrosion tests for the materials of polymethyl methacrylate, neoprene, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), phenolic resin, iron plate painted with alkyd, stainless steel, aluminum, etc. were carried out, and relevant parameters were examined, including etiolation index, chromatism, loss of gloss, corrosion form, etc. The results show that the plasma jet is slightly corrosive for part of the materials, but their performances are not affected. A portable calculator, computer display, mainboard, circuit board of radiogram, and a hygrometer could work normally after being treated by the plasma jet. 相似文献

The surface dielectric barrier discharge(SDBD) plasma actuator has shown great promise as an aerodynamic flow control device. In this paper, the encapsulated electrode width of a SDBD actuator is changed to study the airflow acceleration behavior. The effects of encapsulated electrode width on the actuator performance are experimentally investigated by measuring the dielectric layer surface potential, time-averaged ionic wind velocity and thrust force. Experimental results show that the airflow velocity and thrust force increase with the encapsulated electrode width. The results can be attributed to the distinct plasma distribution at different encapsulated electrode widths. 相似文献

Aniline is a toxic water pollutant detected in drinking water and surface water,and this chemical is harmful to both human and aquatic life.A dielectric barrier discharge(DBD)reactor was designed in this study to investigate the treatment of aniline in aqueous solution.Discharge characteristics were assessed by measuring voltage and current waveforms,capturing light emission images,and obtaining optical emission spectra.The effects of several parameters were analyzed,including treatment distance,discharge power,DBD treatment time,initial pH of aniline solutions,and addition of sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide to the treatment.Aniline degradation increased with increasing discharge power.Under the same conditions,higher degradation was obtained at a treatment distance of 0 mm than at other treatment distances.At a discharge power of 21.5 W,84.32%of aniline was removed after 10 min of DBD treatment.Initial pH significantly influenced aniline degradation.Adding a certain dosage of sodium carbonate and hydrogen peroxide to the wastewater can accelerate the degradation rate of aniline.Possible degradation pathways of aniline by DBD plasmas were proposed based on the analytical data of GC/MS and TOC. 相似文献

A dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) reactor with a rod-plate electrode configuration was used for the oxidative decomposition of Congo red dye in an aqueous solution.Plasma was generated in the gas space above the water interface under atmospheric pressure.Discharge characteristics were analyzed by voltage-current waveforms.Effects of applied voltage,initial conductivity,and initial concentration were also analyzed.Congo red discoloration increased with increased applied voltage and decreased conductivity.The initial conductivity significantly influenced the Congo red discoloration.Under the same conditions,the highest discoloration rate was obtained at 25 mg/L.The presence of ferrous ions in the solutions had a substantial positive effect on Fenton dye degradation and flocculation.At an applied voltage of 20 kV,about 100%of dye was degraded after 4 min of Fe2+/DBD treatment.Results showed that adding a certain dosage of hydrogen peroxide to the wastewater could enhance the discoloration rate.Possible pathways of Congo red discoloration by DBD plasma were proposed based on GC/MS,FTIR,and UV-vis spectroscopy analyses. 相似文献

An investigation on the discharge characteristic of a dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) device was carried out using bare and ZnO-coated alumina dielectric layer in atmospheric pressure air. Highly conductive ZnO film was first deposited on the alumina surface, and the characteristics of the dielectric barrier discharge were examined and compared. Experimental result shows that discharge behavior was definitely improved in the case of ZnO-coated dielectric barrier discharge. An atmospheric-pressure dielectric barrier discharge(DBD) gas-liquid cold plasma was employed to synthesize Cu-doped TiO_2 nanoparticles in an aqueous solution with the assistance of[C_2MIM]BF_4 ionic liquid(IL) and using air as the working gas.The influences of the discharge voltage,IL and the amount of copper nitrite were investigated.X-ray diffraction,N_2adsorption-desorption measurements and UV-Vis spectroscopy were adopted to characterize the samples.The results showed that the specific surface area of TiO_2 was promoted with Cu-doping(from 57.6 m~2·g~(-1) to 106.2 m~2·g~(-1) with 3%Cu-doping),and the content of anatase was increased.Besides,the band gap energy of TiO_2 with Cu-doping decreased according to the UV-Vis spectroscopy test.The 3%Cu-IL-TiO_2 samples showed the highest efficiency in degrading methylene blue(MB) dye solutions under simulated sunlight with an apparent rate constant of 0.0223 min~(-1),which was 1.2 times higher than that of non-doped samples.According to the characterization results,the reasons for the high photocatalytic activity were discussed. 相似文献

A homogeneous atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge is studied. It is in argon with small admixtures of titanium tetrachloride vapour and oxygen for the deposition of thin titania films on glass substrates. A special electrode configuration was applied in order to deposit the titania film uniformly. The sustaining voltage (6 kV to 12 kV), current density (about 3 mA/cm^2) and total optical emission spectroscopy were monitored to characterize the discharge in the gap of 2 mm. Typical deposition rates ranged from approximately 30 nm/min to 120 nm/min. The film morphology was investigated by using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and the composition was determined with an energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis tool attached to the SEM. The crystal structure and phase composition of the films were studied by x-ray diffraction (XRD). Several parameters such as the discharge power, the ratio of carrier gas to the precursor gas, the deposition time on the crystallization behavior, the deposition rate and the surface morphology of the titania film were extensively studied. 相似文献
