讨论并实现了基于3D-SPIHT算法的三维小波视频编码方法。该方法建立在真三维小波分解基础上,通过定义一种新的时空方向树结构,实现了静止图像SPIHT算法的三维扩展。该方法不涉及运动估计,具有较低的计算负荷和时间延迟,所产生的视频流是完全嵌入的。实验结果表明该方法能够快速地、高质量地压缩视频图像,是一种很有潜力的视频编码方法。  相似文献

该文提出了一种高效的运动补偿三维小波视频编码方案。该方案采用运动补偿时域分析技术,以有效去除视频序列中存在的时间冗余。然后,基于视频序列的运动特征,自适应确定帧组结构,在提高编码效率的同时降低内存需求和运算复杂度。最后,根据小波图像系数特性,采用基于四叉树分裂的小波图像编码方法对三维时/空子带进行编码,以获得更高的压缩效率。实验结果表明,与其它运动补偿三维小波视频编码方法相比,该文提出的编码方案能够获得更好的性能。  相似文献

基于图像序列三维小波变换的视频编码技术是一种很有潜力的编码方法.本文针对目前实际中采用的三维小波变换只是一种准三维变换,不能提供对变换结果的统一描述等不足,推导了信号真正的三维小波变换的有关理论及其实现方法.在此基础上,我们将这种三维小波变换方法用于视频图像的编码,模拟结果表明这种编码结构具有良好性能,值得进一步的深入研究.  相似文献

A low complexity shape-adaptive DCT transform algorithm for coding pels in arbitrarily shaped image segments is presented. The proposed algorithm is compared to the well established generalized shape-adaptive transform method introduced by Gilge et al. in terms of transform efficiency and computational complexity. Results obtained under both theoretical and experimental conditions show that the new algorithm achieves a transform efficiency close to that of the Gilge method with considerably reduced computational complexity. The proposed shape-adaptive DCT algorithm was implemented into a standard MPEG-1 coder to provide object or segment based coding of images and video with additional content-based functionality. The extended MPEG-1 object based coding scheme can handle generic input sequences and can readily provide MPEG-1 backward compatibility if no contour data is transmitted for a given video sequence. Results for INTRA coding of images indicate that the algorithm allows efficient coding over a wide range of coding parameters — thus providing means for generic coding of segmented video between very high and very low bit rates. It is further shown that some of the content-based based functionalities currently discussed in MPEG-4 can be provided efficiently using the proposed object based coding scheme.  相似文献

 本文将多描述编码与运动补偿三维小波可扩展视频编码相结合,提出了一种基于运动补偿三维小波的多描述视频编码方法.该方法首先根据编码序列的运动特性,自适应地进行每个描述的码率分配,以控制各个描述中的冗余,然后将编码序列的关键信息-运动矢量和低频帧码流复制到两个描述中,并将高频帧码流分配到不同的描述中.在解码端根据正确接收信息的不同,采用不同的方法进行视频重建.实验结果表明,与单描述编码方法相比,在信道丢包率较高的情况下,本文方法可以提供更好的传输鲁棒性.  相似文献

该文提出一种新的立体视频编码方案:在辅助序列中进行视差补偿预测和三维等级数集合分区(3D-SPIHT)编码,3D-SPIHT算法建立在真三维小波分解基础上,通过定义一种新的时空方向树结构,实现了静止图像SPIHT算法的三维扩展,实验结果表明该方案的编码性能略高于传统方案,具有较低的计算复杂度,所产生的嵌入式辅助序列码流,可根据通道带宽自适应调整输出码率,最大限度地提高辅助序列的质量。  相似文献

Bandwidth-constrained real-time conversational video communications (such as mobile teleconferencing) require video codecs with good rate-distortion characteristics at low bit-rates and modest computational complexity. While target-specific object-based and model-based coding methods have been proposed for low bit-rate conversational video coding, difficulties in generalization and high computational complexity hinder their practical utilization. In this paper, we propose a low bit-rate coding method for typical conversational video by combining two-dimensional model-based coding of face regions and object-based coding of non-face head-shoulder regions, achieving high-quality face reconstruction and low overall bit-rate with real-time encoding capability. Experiments on typical conversational test sequences confirm that, compared to other conversational video codecs, our model-and-object-based coding method offers superior rate-distortion performance at low bit-rates.  相似文献

Motion estimation and compensation in wavelet domain have received much attention recently. To overcome the inefficiency of motion estimation in critically sampled wavelet domain, the low-band-shift (LBS) method and the complete-to-overcomplete discrete wavelet transform (CODWT) method are proposed for motion estimation in shift-invariant wavelet domain. However, a major disadvantage of these methods is the computational complexity. Although the CODWT method has reduced the computational complexity by skipping the inverse wavelet transform and making the direct link between the critically sampled subbands and the shift-invariant subbands, the full search algorithm (FSA) increases it. In this paper, we proposed two fast multiresolution motion estimation algorithms in shift-invariant wavelet domain: one is the wavelet matching error characteristic based partial distortion search (WMEC-PDS) algorithm, which improves computational efficiency of conventional partial distortion search algorithms while keeping the same estimate accuracy as the FSA; another is the anisotropic double cross search (ADCS) algorithm using multiresolution-spatio-temporal context, which provides a significantly computational load reduction while only introducing negligible distortion compared with the FSA. Due to the multiresolution nature, both the proposed approaches can be applied to wavelet-based scalable video coding. Experimental results show the superiority of the proposed fast motion estimation algorithms against other fast algorithms in terms of speed-up and quality.  相似文献

本文研究了三维子波变换和分级三维零树混合视频编码算法,对图像序列体作3层22子带时,空分解后,再对最低频子带进行4子带空间分解,对这个特殊分解的三维子波结构,推广了零树的概念,用HVS量化模型对子波系统施加量化,用分级三维零树表示量化后的25带子波系数,这一方案比单级零树方法节省约6%的码率,并且实现了空间和时间可尺主度化码流结构。  相似文献

High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC) is the most recent video coding standard to achieve a higher coding performance than the previous H.264/AVC. In order to accomplish this improved coding performance, HEVC adopted several advanced coding tools; however, these cause heavy computational complexity. Similar to previous video coding standards, motion estimation (ME) of HEVC requires the most computational complexity; this is because ME is conducted for three inter prediction modes — namely, uniprediction in list 0, uniprediction in list 1, and biprediction. In this paper, we propose an efficient inter prediction mode (EIPM) decision method to reduce the complexity of ME. The proposed EIPM method computes the priority of all inter prediction modes and performs ME only on a selected inter prediction mode. Experimental results show that the proposed method reduces computational complexity arising from ME by up to 51.76% and achieves near similar coding performance compared to HEVC test model version 10.1.  相似文献

A new‐generation video coding standard, named High Efficiency Video Coding (HEVC), has recently been developed by JCT‐VC. This new standard provides a significant improvement in picture quality, especially for high‐resolution videos. However, one the most important challenges in HEVC is time complexity. A quadtree‐based structure is created for the encoding and decoding processes and the rate‐distortion (RD) cost is calculated for all possible dimensions of coding units in the quadtree. This provides a high encoding quality, but also causes computational complexity. We focus on a reduction scheme of the computational complexity and propose a new approach that can terminate the quadtree‐based structure early, based on the RD costs of the parent and current levels. Our proposed algorithm is compared with HEVC Test Model version 10.0 software and a previously proposed algorithm. Experimental results show that our algorithm provides a significant time reduction for encoding, with only a small loss in video quality.  相似文献

对基于三维小波变换的视频编码进行了研究。由于视频图像传统的三维小波变换结构存在着诸多不足.文章提出了一种改进的三维小波变换结构。在给定的比特率条件下,通过对使得解码图像量化误差达到最小的最佳比特分配策略进行研究,给出了在均匀量化情况下的改进三维小波变换结构的量化步长。实验结果表明该方法的压缩性能明显优于传统方法。  相似文献
