AC-PDP能量恢复驱动电路的研究   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:0  
根据表面放电AC-PDP的特性及驱动原理,提出了一种两级的能量恢复电路,并对电路工作过程进行了详细的分析。通过3种结构的能量恢复电路效率进行的详细比较,本电路相对于一级能量恢复电路来说效率得到了很大的提高,相对于多级能量恢复电路,电路的高压MOS管减少了25%,其他元件也相应减少,效率提高了15%。并通过实验证明了此电路的可用性及实用性。  相似文献

等离子显示器在没有能量恢复电路的情况下,功耗很大,不能广泛实用,因此能量恢复电路是驱动电路中至关重要的部分.能量恢复电路中的高压开关MOSFET的硬开关问题,会导致PDP电路中的较大的放电电流,增大电磁干扰(EMI),影响整机性能.硬开关问题是近年来PDP电路研究的重点之一.本文通过对经典能量恢复电路及其寄生效应进行理论分析,指出电路及其元件中的寄生效应是电路中主要MOSFET产生硬开关问题的主要原因,由此分析了研究了改进这一问题的几种方法.  相似文献

主要提出了一种基于PDP驱动芯片的能量恢复电路,该电路利用将各个输出端通过控制高压开关管连接在一起进行电荷共享的原理,经过Hspice仿真验证具有完整的功能,并在CSMC0.5μm CMOS工艺下得到实现.仿真结果表明这种能量恢复电路不仅可以显著降低驱动芯片的能量损耗,并且具有结构简单的特点,目前被应用于一款等离子电视的列驱动芯片中,降低芯片功耗,提高芯片工作的稳定性.  相似文献

This paper proposes the use of a resonant pole inverter (RPI) as the control circuit to drive the data electrodes of an ac plasma display panel (PDP). This new application of RPI simplifies the circuit design by using fewer components, and has lower power losses than conventional driver circuits. The circuit employs two resonant MOSFETs and zero-voltage-switching technique to generate an asymmetric pulse train with moderate rising and falling time to drive the data electrodes of a PDP. The circuit also recovers the reactive energy from the PDP, like conventional energy recovery circuits. Power losses are further reduced by adding a dc offset voltage to the pulse train. The power consumptions of different driving circuits are assessed. The proposed circuit is tested on a dual-scan 42-in SVGA ac plasma display panel and is found to be practical.  相似文献

分析了等离子体显示器中行扫描芯片的浪涌电压产生机理。结合浪涌电压产生机理从PDP驱动技术的角度提出抑制浪涌电压的理论方案,并以实验室PDP模组为实验载体,通过修改控制板驱动代码来实现该方案。通过实测新方案的波形,并观察PDP屏显示的静态图像与动态图像,验证了该方案可以有效抑制行扫描芯片的浪涌电压。该方案使得芯片的制造成本降低,从而缩减了整个PDP系统的成本。  相似文献

An improved dual-path energy recovery circuit (ERC) using a current source and a voltage source for plasma display panel (PDP) is proposed. The proposed ERC uses the voltage source to charge a panel and the current source to discharge the panel. Thus, the proposed circuit can make the panel charge to a sustaining voltage $V_{S}$ and fully discharge to 0 V, and it is possible to achieve zero-voltage switching for all switches in an H-bridge inverter and zero-current switching for all switches in the ERC. Moreover, it has less conduction and switching loss in ERC devices by the dual energy recovery paths for charging and discharging the panel. Furthermore, it has the features of canceling the gas discharge current, high performance, and the low-cost ERC components. The operation principle and features of the proposed ERC are presented in detail and verified with 42-in standard definition (SD) PDP.   相似文献

Scaling down to deep submicrometer (DSM) technology has made noise a metric of equal importance as compared to power, speed, and area. Smaller feature size, lower supply voltage, and higher frequency are some of the characteristics for DSM circuits that make them more vulnerable to noise. New designs and circuit techniques are required in order to achieve robustness in presence of noise. Novel methodologies for designing energy-efficient noise-tolerant exclusive-OR-exclusive- NOR circuits that can operate at low-supply voltages with good signal integrity and driving capability are proposed. The circuits designed, after applying the proposed methodologies, are characterized and compared with previously published circuits for reliability, speed and energy efficiency. To test the driving capability of the proposed circuits, they are embedded in an existing 5-2 compressor design. The average noise threshold energy (ANTE) is used for quantifying the noise immunity of the proposed circuits. Simulation results show that, compared with the best available circuit in literature, the proposed circuits exhibit better noise-immunity, lower power-delay product (PDP) and good driving capability. All of the proposed circuits prove to be faster and successfully work at all ranges of supply voltage starting from 3.3 V down to 0.6 V. The savings in the PDP range from 94% to 21% for the given supply voltage range respectively and the average improvement in the ANTE is 2.67X.  相似文献

本文研究了具有响应频率快、亮度高、着火电压低以及成本低等特点的新型槽型结构等离子体平板显示放电单元的放电特性,并与传统的表面放电结构进行了比较.给出了不同时刻两种结构放电单元中电场、各种粒子浓度的空间分布以及各种粒子的平均浓度随时间的变化关系.在没有能量恢复电路的情况下,该结构14″实验屏的发光效率达到0.9lm/W,功耗为50W.  相似文献

A high-performance and low-cost single-switch current-fed energy recovery circuit (ERC) for an alternating current (ac) plasma display panel (PDF) is proposed. Since it is composed of only one power switch compared with the conventional circuit consisting of four power switches and two large energy recovery capacitors, it features a much simpler structure and lower cost. Furthermore, since all power switches can be switched under soft-switching operation, the proposed circuit has desirable merits such as an increased reliability, and low switching loss. Especially, there are no serious voltage notches across the PDP with the aid of gas discharge current compensation, which can greatly reduce the current stress of all inverter switches, and provide those switches with the turn on timing margin. To confirm the validity of the proposed circuit, its operation and performance were verified on a prototype for 7-in test PDP.  相似文献

在自主研发国内BCD高压工艺的同时,设计并实现了一款用于42″数字电视PDP平板显示屏的扫描驱动芯片.该芯片及其制作工艺不仅实现了Bipolar,CMOS和高压功率DMOS器件的良好兼容(BCD工艺),而且采用工艺与电路设计互相匹配的交互方式完成了高低电平位移电路和高压输出驱动电路及其器件的设计,有效提高了芯片的性能,减小了芯片的面积.测试结果表明该芯片功能正常,性能良好,各项技术参数基本达到国外同类产品指标.在低压5V和高压160V的情况下工作,完全满足42″PDP显示系统的需求.  相似文献

针对新型结构的荫罩式等离子平板显示器 ( SM-PDP)提出了一种有效的能量复得维持驱动电路方案。从理论上详细分析了电路的工作原理 ,并且介绍了相关金属氧化物半导体场效应管 ( MOSFET)的栅极驱动方法。电路系统通过实验证明 ,利用电感与屏寄生电容之间的串联谐振可以大大减小 PDP屏寄生电容的位移电流在电路上损耗的功耗。此能量复得电路已经在 3 4in全彩色 SM-PDP( 640× RGB× 480 )中得以应用  相似文献

A novel sustain driver employing an energy recovery faculty is proposed for efficient driving of a plasma display panel (PDP) in the sustaining mode operation. The proposed driver uses dual resonance. One is a main resonance between an inductor and an external capacitor to produce alternative pulses and the other is a subresonance between an inductor and a panel to recover the energy consumption by the capacitive displacement current of the PDP. The operational principle and design procedure of the proposed circuit are presented with theoretical analysis. The validity of the proposed sustain driver is verified through the simulated and experimental results based on a 7.5-in diagonal panel with 200-kHz operating frequency.  相似文献
