Besides the knowledge of the primary line parameters per unit length, the determination of the complex transfer impedances and transfer admittances of shielded multiconductor cables is the prerequisite for the calculation of the propagation of disturbing currents on the inner wires of the cable. With a measurement procedure based on triaxial measurement setups using multiconductor transmission line theory for evaluation, it is possible to determine individual transfer impedances and admittances for each inner conductor of a shielded multiconductor cable over a broad frequency range. In this paper, a complete methodology is proposed for the deterministic modeling of the channel transfer functions associated with underground power line access networks, in the light of the Multiconductor Transmission Line Theory. Some multiconductor power line cables are analyzed in detail, and their fundamental propagation characteristics (definition of eigenmodes, phase velocity, characteristic impedance, lineic attenuation) are related to the geometry of the conductors and the material properties. A multidimensional scattering matrix formalism is then introduced to perform an accurate analysis of the global power line network including multiconductor cable segments, derivation points, and termination loads. An illustrative example of a power line access network with three types of cables (with different numbers of conductors), 20 derivations, and five remote terminals, is finally proposed.  相似文献

A SPICE circuit model is developed for the evaluation in frequency and time domain, of the common and differential mode voltages at the terminals of a two-parallel-wires shielded cable during a current injection test. The proposed circuit is an exact equivalent of the model's governing multiconductor transmission line equations without the need of any subdivision in elementary cells and takes into account the presence of both transfer impedance and admittance.  相似文献

This paper investigates the importance of a follow-on buried bare earth wire for the lightning protection of buried shielded cables. The use of follow-on bare wires for lightning protection of communication towers was suggested as a recommendation in certain standards, without being complemented either by theory or experiments. When lightning transients couple to the cable shields, it induces large currents (depending on the type of coupling) causing transient overvoltages between the inner conductors and the shield. It is shown by simulations based on multiconductor transmission line theory that if the follow-on bare earth conductor is placed in parallel with the shielded cable with the bare earth wire connected to the shield at the current injection end, then the shield current, and thereby, the internal transient voltages of the cable are reduced considerably.  相似文献

针对铁路信号电缆施工现场提出的加强铁路数字信号电缆机械性能的要求,主要研究了增强电缆保护层机械强度来提高铁路数字信号电缆机械性能的可行性。参考室外直埋式光缆的机械性能试验,根据铁路信号电缆施工现场的环境,提出了反映信号电缆机械性能的专项技术要求和试验方法。将新试制的保护层加强型信号电缆样品与既有的普通保护层信号电缆样品进行了机械性能的对比试验,试验结果表明,相比于相同型号的普通保护层信号电缆,保护层加强型信号电缆的机械性能提高不明显。  相似文献

This paper describes a technique for obtaining the induced worst case currents on individual wires of a multiconductor cable as a result of a transient electromagnetic radiation field. The technique involved a development of the expression for the induced current in matrix form where the mutual coupling terms and the other cable currents are the pertinent parameters. A worst case solution results from the assumption of maximum coupling orientation of the individual wires. A short example and some test results are presented. The test results show wave shapes for inductive and capacitive coupling. The solution for the individual wire current due to a transient electromagnetic field is important, since it will greatly reduce the required number of cable measurements and will allow the development of improved shielding techniques.  相似文献
