A distributed problem solving system can be characterized as a group of individual cooperating agents running to solve common problems. As dynamic application domains continue to grow in scale and complexity, it becomes more difficult to control the purposeful behavior of agents, especially when unexpected events may occur. This article presents an information and knowledge exchange framework to support distributed problem solving. From the application viewpoint the article concentrates on the stock trading domain; however, many presented solutions can be extended to other dynamic domains. It addresses two important issues: how individual agents should be interconnected so that their resources are efficiently used and their goals accomplished effectively; and how information and knowledge transfer should take place among the agents to allow them to respond successfully to user requests and unexpected external situations. The article introduces an architecture, the MASST system architecture, which supports dynamic information and knowledge exchange among the cooperating agents. The architecture uses a dynamic blackboard as an interagent communication paradigm to facilitate factual data, business rule, and command exchange between cooperating MASST agents. The critical components of the MASST architecture have been implemented and tested in the stock trading domain, and have proven to be a viable solution for distributed problem solving based on cooperating agents  相似文献

A comprehensive decision support system, GMCR II, is developed for the systematic study of real-world interactive decision problems. Model formulation is presented in Part I, and analysis and output interpretation in Part II. GMCR II is based upon existing and new research developments of the graph model for conflict resolution. In Part I, specially designed data structures and corresponding algorithms are implemented for generating and representing possible states, removing infeasible states, coalescing indistinguishable states, and specifying and storing allowable state transitions. Algorithms implementing different approaches to the elicitation of preferences over states enable GMCR II to construct and manage an efficient, flexible, and complete graph model of a strategic conflict.  相似文献

飞机后续备件配置直接关系到装备的战备完好率和寿命周期费用,对备件的正确分类是进行备件配置决策的前提。支持向量机是采用结构风险最小化原则代替传统统计学中的基于大样本的经验风险最小化原则的新型机器学习方法,具有出色的学习分类能力和推广能力。研究了新型支持向量机算法-最小二乘支持向量机,设计了基于多元分类的最小二乘支持向量机,在此基础上,建立了飞机备件多元分类模型,并对某机型的备件进行了分类。结果表明,基于最小二乘支持向量机的飞机备件多元分类方法是有效、可行的。  相似文献

This paper presents a decision support system for managers in charge of process monitoring, this domain being representative of rapidly increasing emergencies. Designing such a system means combining tasks: automate data processing; give the user efficient access to all relevant data; and synthesize pertinent information. Data used for decisions come from several independent sources. The authors introduce the concept of a scenario associated with every kind of information managed by this system, which describes the tasks related with this information and their scheduling. The system architecture is built around the association of a reactive database and a real-time information manager, whose task is to follow the scenarios describing the processes to trigger for all incoming data. This architecture, based on specifications and knowledge, allows autonomous behavior of the system in order to monitor, update and display all information needed for the user's decisions. It uses a declarative approach, i.e. it separates what is application dependent (data, scenarios and processes) from what is generic, and can be used for other applications. The Fire Management Information System is an application dedicated to forest fire prevention and fighting, partially funded by the European Research Programme for Environmental Protection  相似文献

This paper uses an L18 orthogonal array design to study and analyze the tool spare management of a single manufacturing cell. The single manufacturing cell operates with two dissimilar workheads. A polynomial regression metamodel approach is developed for machine availability (average equipment utilization) and for the average server utilization. The models presented for these two performance measures are implemented in a decision framework to determine the optimum combinations of spare tools and repair levels. Health information networks (HINs) have become increasingly important in the structure of the health care industry. In this paper, we develop decision models and decision-support systems for designing and performing cost-benefit analyses of HINs. Our models prioritize the connection of various types of health providers to the network based on the costs and benefits of all participants: the network owners, information providers and information users of the HIN. The business strategy underlying this analysis is to design the system with the maximum value for the network owner(s), while ensuring that the network provides positive added value to each of its nodes. Our framework could be used to examine the design of and to perform a cost-benefit analysis for an existing network, for the expansion of an existing network, or for the development of a new network. One can also use the models for break-even point and scenario analyses. We have used our approach to examine an existing HIN [the Wisconsin Health Information Network (WHIN)] and to perform a scenario analysis for a possible restructuring of the network. Our empirical results in this case show that HINs could be highly profitable for all network participants  相似文献

Medical research and clinical practice are currently being redefined by the constantly increasing amounts of multiscale patient data. New methods are needed to translate them into knowledge that is applicable in healthcare. Multiscale modeling has emerged as a way to describe systems that are the source of experimental data. Usually, a multiscale model is built by combining distinct models of several scales, integrating, e.g., genetic, molecular, structural, and neuropsychological models into a composite representation. We present a novel generic clinical decision support system, which models a patient's disease state statistically from heterogeneous multiscale data. Its goal is to aid in diagnostic work by analyzing all available patient data and highlighting the relevant information to the clinician. The system is evaluated by applying it to several medical datasets and demonstrated by implementing a novel clinical decision support tool for early prediction of Alzheimer's disease.  相似文献

Crime analysis uses past crime data to predict future crime locations and times. Typically this analysis relies on hot spot models that show clusters of criminal events based on past locations of these events. It does not consider the decision making processes of criminals as human initiated events susceptible to analysis using spatial choice models. This paper analyzes criminal incidents as spatial choice processes. Spatial choice analysis can be used to discover the distribution of people's behaviors in space and time. Two adjusted spatial choice models that include models of decision making processes are presented. The comparison results show that adjusted spatial choice models provide efficient and accurate predictions of future crime patterns and can be used as the basis for a law enforcement decision support system. This paper also extends spatial choice modeling to include the class of problems where the decision makers' preferences are derived indirectly through incident reports rather than directly through survey instruments.  相似文献

在多阶段任务系统中,可修部件的寿命服从一般分布、维修时间也服从一般分布的备件携行量优化问题很难利用解析方法来解决。采用仿真的方法,建立可修部件寿命和维修时间均服从一般分布的多阶段任务系统的仿真模型,给出了最优备件携行量的仿真计算方法,讨论了如何确定维修组的数量。并且通过实例检验了这种仿真方法的适用性。最后利用一个指数分布实例对解析方法和仿真方法计算出的结果进行比较,从而对所提出的仿真方法进行了检验。  相似文献
