提出了一种基于Mach—Zehnder光纤干涉仪原理的管道泄漏检测分布式光纤传感技术,该技术可以实时检测管道线发生的泄漏。分析了该技术的工作原理,讨论了在泄漏噪声作用下光纤中传播的光波相位变化关系。理论分析和测试结果表明,该测试技术可以有效地提高管道泄漏的测试灵敏度。在气体管道压力小于0.2MPa的条件下,可以检测到0.4m^3/min的气体管道泄漏,测试距离可达到50km。 相似文献

提出了采用Mach Zehnder(M Z)光纤干涉仪的电光聚合物电光系数测量方法,对其测量原理进行了分析,研究了光纤干涉仪的臂长差、样品的插入损耗对系统可见度的影响,讨论了通过合理设置耦合器的耦合系数提高系统测量性能的方法。系统具有较好的稳定性和较高的灵敏度,既适合于聚合物薄膜也适合于聚合物波导的测量,系统干涉可见度为0.86,可分辨的最小相位变化约为6×10-6 rad。该系统可以同时测量2个独立的电光系数γ13和γ33,使用该系统测得一种有机/无机杂化材料ASD/SiO2 TiO2 极化后的电光系数为γ13=0.72±0.01 pm/V和γ33=2.8±0.01 pm/V。 相似文献

In this paper,a novel simple but effective method is presented to construct compact all-fiber Mach-Zehnder (M-Z) interferometer based on CO2-laser-machined micro-notches in single mode fibers.Interference fringes are obtained,and temperature,force,and bending characteristics of the interferometer have been experimentally investigated.Such a compact fiber component with acceptable sensing performances makes it a good candidate for the measurement of numerous physical parameters. 相似文献

Active mode-locking of a fiber laser with an all-fiber electrooptic modulator is demonstrated. A 1.4-V driving signal was used, creating subnanosecond single pulses at the fundamental frequency of the cavity (12 MHz). The modulator was a packaged Mach-Zehnder interferometer incorporating a poled twin-hole fiber in one of the arms. The switching voltage was 230 V at 1550 nm, with extinction ratio /spl sim/20 dB. We investigate leaky-mode propagation of the cladding modes of an optical fiber through coupling with a long-period fiber grating. A one-dimensional ray propagation model is applied. Experimental measurements are compared to a transfer-matrix model to estimate the cladding mode losses. Losses are also measured using an all-fiber Mach-Zehnder mode interferometer. A wavelength multiplexing/demultiplexing device is fabricated and used to drop/insert a single wavelength channel from/into a multiple wavelength transmission link with 100 GHz channel-spacing at 1550 nm. All-optical photonic switching has been demonstrated at 1310 nm and 1545 nm using an all-fiber Mach-Zehnder interferometer incorporating ytterbium-doped silica fiber. The switching was achieved with 980 nm excitation from a laser diode, with a power-length product of 3.7 mW/spl middot/m and 5.8 mW/spl middot/m at 1310 nm and 1545 mm respectively, thus giving low power all-optical switching at the preferred telecommunications wavelengths. 相似文献

Miniature all-fiber phase modulators with a radially symmetrical piezoelectric ZnO jacket have been characterized using a Mach-Zehnder interferometer over a wide frequency range from 50 Hz to 50 MHz. The frequency response of the modulators consists of two flat broad-band regions and various resonances. The maximum phase shifts measured in the broadband and resonance regions are 0.1 and 7.5 rad/V/meter of fiber, respectively. 研究了一种全光纤可切换多波长掺铒光纤激光器。该激光器利用一段缠绕在压电陶瓷上的单模光纤作为正弦相位调制器以及基于光纤拉锥的马赫-曾德尔干涉仪作为梳状滤波器,抑制由于掺铒光纤的均匀展宽效应引起的模式竞争,从而避免了在室温下不稳定的单波长激射,实现了多波长掺铒光纤激光器的稳定输出。实验中观察到稳定的5个波长的同时激射,相邻波长间隔为0.804 nm。信噪比大于40 dB,3 dB带宽约为0.023 nm,中心5个波长输出功率的平坦度为14 dB。同时,激光器具有灵活的波长可切换特性,通过调整驱动信号和偏振控制器的状态,实现了单波长、双波长、三波长以及更多波长的输出。该激光器可应用于大容量波分复用系统和光纤传感。 相似文献
