Bunchosia glandulifera is a red-colored fruit and a source of bioactive compounds with antioxidant potential. The fruit was collected in the city of Santo Antonio Patrulha-Brazil, and the pulp contained phenolic compounds, anthocyanins, flavonoids, lycopene, β-carotene, vitamin C, and caffeine. Rutin, vitexin, and quercitrin were the phenolic compounds identified in the pulp. The concentrations of lycopene (16.39 mg/100 g fruit) and β-carotene (8.10 mg/100 g fruit) provided the fruit’s distinct color. The fruit pulp was rich in caffeine (206.35 mg/100 g) and showed antioxidant activity as determined by Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power, 2,2′-Azinobis-(3-Ethylbenzothiazoline-6-Sulfonic acid, and 2,2 Difenil-1-Picrilhidrazil. The high antioxidant activity was due to its high levels of bioactive compounds.  相似文献

Abstract: The interest in medicinal plant research and in the aroma‐therapeutic effects of essential oils in humans has increased in recent years, especially for the treatment of pathologies of relevant social impact such as Alzheimer's disease. The present study was taken up to evaluate the antioxidant capacity and the acetylcholinesterase (AChE) and butyrylcholinesterase (BChE) inhibitory activity of the peel essential oils from three Citrus species, C. aurantifolia Swingle, C. aurantium L., and C. bergamia Risso & Poit. Essential oils were analyzed by GC and GC‐MS and they contain mainly limonene, α‐pinene, β‐pinene, γ‐terpinene, and linalyl acetate. C. aurantifolia oil showed the highest radical scavenging activity on ABTS assay (IC50 value of 19.6 μg/mL), while C. bergamia exhibited a good antioxidant activity evaluated by the β‐carotene bleaching test (IC50= 42.6 μg/mL after 60 min of incubation). C. aurantifolia inhibited more selectively AChE. Obtained data suggest a potential use of Citrus oils as a valuable new flavor with functional properties for food or nutraceutical products with particular relevance to supplements for the elderly. Practical Application: The demonstrated antioxidant activity and procholinesterase properties of Citrus essential oils suggested their use as a new potential source of natural antioxidant to added as extra‐nutrient for using in food industries as a valuable new flavor with functional properties for food or nutraceutical products with particular relevance to supplements for the elderly.  相似文献

Different edible tissues of citrus fruit, namely juice sacs (JS), segment membrane (SM), and segment (Seg), of four species, were examined for contents of bioactive compounds and total antioxidant capacities (TAC) by ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assay. Two flavanones (naringin and hesperidin) were identified by HPLC; hesperidin accounted for 18.5–38.5% of the total phenolics in the species Citrus unshiu, Citrus reticulata, and Citrus sinensis, while naringin was only found in Citrus changshanensis and it accounted for 53.7% of the total phenolics in SM of this species. In SM of all selected species, the contents of phenolic compounds and TAC were significantly higher than those in JS and Seg. Highest total phenolics, total flavonoids, naringin, and TAC were found in SM of C. changshanensis, while the highest carotenoid content was found in JS of C. reticulata. The contribution of vitamin C to TAC ranged from 26.9% to 45.9% in JS and Seg of all selected species. In SM, however, a high contribution from hesperidin was observed in C. unshiu (54.0%), C. sinensis (46.7%) and C. reticulata (30.0%). The results indicated that SM of citrus fruit were high in contents of bioactive compounds and TAC; it is thus recommended to consume citrus fruit with all edible tissues rather than juice or JS alone.  相似文献

Peel oil of Citrus nobilis (Lour) was analyzed for determining its chemical composition. Fourteen identified components accounted for 99.1% (GC) and 100.0% (FID) of the total oil. Major component of the oil was limonene (76.8%-GC and 86.2%-FID). Essential oil was also evaluated for its antioxidant activity in four complementary test systems namely; β-carotene/linoleic acid, DPPH radical scavenging, reducing power and metal chelating activities. In the first system, antioxidant activity increased with the increasing concentration. At 20.0 mg.ml?1 concentration, antioxidant property of the oil was 96.8% ± 0.2 and as strong as the positive controls BHT and α-tocopherol. Scavenging effect of the oil was superior to the positive controls BHT and α-tocopherol at 1.5 mg.ml?1 concentration (96.4% ± 0.1). Reducing power and chelating effect of the essential oil increased with the increasing concentration.  相似文献

A traditional sweet dessert wine from Saracena (Italy), made with nonmacerated local white grapes (Guarnaccia, Malvasia and Moscato), was analyzed for phenolics and aroma profile and antioxidant activities. The most abundant classes of phenols identified by high‐performance liquid chromatography were hydroxybenzoic acids and flavan‐3‐ols, where gallic acid showed the highest content (376.5 mg/L). The analysis by solid phase microextraction‐gas chromatography‐mass spectrometry revealed the presence of superior alcohols (from iso‐butanol and iso‐amyl alcohol up to 2‐phenylethanol) and their ethyl esters, terpenes (such as linalool), furfuryl compounds, and free fatty acids (up to palmitic acid) as the key odorants of this wine. The antioxidant activity, evaluated by different in vitro assays 2,2‐diphenyl‐1‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2′‐azino‐bis(3‐ethylbenzothiazoline‐6‐sulphonic acid (ABTS), and β‐carotene bleaching test), showed that passito wine had a radical scavenging activity (IC50 value of 0.03 v/v against DPPH·) and inhibited linoleic acid oxidation with an IC50 value of 0.4 v/v after 30 min of incubation.  相似文献

Glucosinolates (GLS), antioxidative compounds, total radical scavenging activities (TRSAs) and proteins of white cabbage samples derived from different regions of Europe, collected in the spring and autumn, were studied. Glucobrassicin and sinigrin were the dominating GLS in all analyzed cabbage samples. Depending on origin, these two GLS accounted for ∼30% to ∼70% of the total. The total GLS content ranged from 3.3 to 7.7 μmol/g dw in lyophilized vegetables. Assays based on electron transfer [total phenols by Folin-Ciocalteu reagent (FCR), 2,2′-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid)] radical cation (ABTS) and 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH)] were used to compare the TRSAs and the main bioactive compounds in cabbage. Total polyphenols varied from 2.4 to 4.9 GAE/g dw. The TRSAs ranged from 2.7 to 8.2 μmol TE/g dw in ABTS test and from 2.4 to 5.4 μmol TE/g dw in DPPH assay. The maximum amount of polyphenol compounds, antioxidant activity, as well as total GLS content, were recorded in Belgian cabbage harvested in the autumn and the lowest ones were found for Poland 2 cabbage harvested in the spring. In extracted and separated by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) proteins from cabbage leaves only in samples from England and Belgium some differences in patterns were found in the regions of 60 and 97 kDa. The calculated correlations between antioxidative potency and the abundance of bioactive compounds were highly statistically significant. This suggests that TRSA could serve as a means of standardization of natural mixtures, at least in the case of cabbage, necessary to compare results of biological studies carried out for vegetable derived samples.  相似文献

对4种猕猴桃浆(黄心猕猴桃、绿心猕猴桃、红阳猕猴桃、聚香猕猴桃)进行超高压(500MPa,20min)处理,分析超高压处理前后猕猴桃浆中游离酚、结合酚含量及其抗氧化活性变化。结果表明:超高压处理能显著提高猕猴桃浆多酚含量(P<0.05),其中,黄心猕猴桃游离酚含量增加了78.68μg/mL,聚香猕猴桃结合酚含量提高了15.58μg/mL。DPPH自由基清除率、还原力和ABTS+清除率实验表明:4种猕猴桃游离酚抗氧化活性强于其结合酚的,超高压处理可提高其抗氧化活性,但效果不显著。  相似文献

以金佛手为主要原料制备食用植物酵素,对其自然发酵过程中体外抗氧化性能、有机酸组成及含量的变化进行研究。结果表明,金佛手酵素发酵过程中超氧自由基清除率、羟基自由基清除率和ABTS自由基清除率总体呈上升趋势,DPPH自由基清除率和还原力呈先上升后下降再缓慢上升的变化。金佛手酵素发酵5~15 d以L-苹果酸和柠檬酸为主,发酵40~90 d期间以乳酸、乙酸和L-酒石酸为主,此外还含有莽草酸、抗坏血酸、琥珀酸和草酸;发酵过程中,总有机酸含量呈先上升后下降再上升的趋势,发酵90 d时达到最高,为(9.600±0.18) mg/mL,相较发酵5 d时增长105.47%。在类间距离15处,聚类分析将发酵阶段归为2类,将有机酸种类归为3类;羟基自由基清除率和超氧自由基清除率与乳酸含量呈极显著(P<0.01)正相关(相关系数为0.885和0.680)。本研究揭示了金佛手酵素发酵过程中有机酸组成及含量、体外抗氧化性能的变化规律,为金佛手酵素的精准制备提供了理论参考。  相似文献

Bioactive compounds and antioxidant capacity were determined in one high lycopene normal genotype (Berika), two color mutants [dark green (BCT-115) and old gold crimson (BCT-119)], one ripening mutant [ripening inhibitor (BCT-111)], and six ordinary tomato genotypes (Punjab, Chhuhara, FEB-2, BCT-53, Patharkutchi, CLN-B, and CLN-R). Significant variation (mg/100 g fresh weight) in ascorbic acid (~25–38), lycopene (~3–5), β-carotene (~0.6–1.6), total flavonoids (~0.15–48.0), and total phenols (~23–41) was recorded in the pulp. The peel fraction of the tomatoes was identified as an important reservoir of antioxidant bioactive compounds viz. lycopene (~0.26–28), β-carotene (~1.7–4.7), total flavonoids (~0.6–109), and total phenols (~43–104). The radical scavenging activity was ranged from ~53–82 and ~25–51% in peel and pulp, whereas the metal chelating activity was found to range from ~21–53 and ~12–25% in peel and pulp, respectively, among all genotypes. The tomato genotypes with the highest content of bioactive molecules and antioxidant potential in the edible portion were BCT-115, Berika, and BCT-119. The results show great potential of color mutants (dark green and old gold crimson) for all the parameters. Thus, these genotypes could be used in the future breeding programs to enhance the synthesis of beneficial bioactive molecules in the new cultivars.  相似文献

In the present study, betalains content, phenolic composition, and antioxidant activity of different parts of red beet (Beta vulgaris L. conditiva) (i.e., roots and stems) were compared. Crude extract of root showed the highest betalain content with a maximum of 53 ± 4 mg betanin eq and 46 ± 3 mg vulgaxantin I eq g?1 of extract stems showed higher total phenolic concentration than roots, ranging between 2.0 ± 0.4 and 14.6 ± 0.5 mg gallic acid eq?1 of extract. Chemical composition was analyzed using LC-MS. Betalains (vulgaxanthin I, betanin, and isobetanin) and phenolics (gallic acid, ferulic acid, chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, vanillic acid, syringic acid, ellagic acid myricetin, quercetin, rutin, kampferol) were identified in roots and stems. Betalain extract obtained from roots showed higher antioxidant activity than extract obtained from stems.  相似文献

Thirty-five honeys were evaluated for total phenolic content by Folin-Ciocalteu method, for potential antioxidant activity using phosphomolibdenum assay and by the 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl method for antiradical activity. The antimicrobial activity was studied by the agar diffusion method, using 12 bacteria and 2 yeasts. The means of the total phenolic contents of chestnut, honeydew, multifloral, thyme, and astragalus were 47 ± 18, 24.2 ± 0.6, 14 ± 11, 11 ± 6, and 9 ± 7 mg/100 g honey as gallic acid equivalent, respectively. The lowest antioxidant activity was observed in honeydew 70 ± 5 mg ascorbic acid equivalent/g honey while the highest content was observed in astragalus honey 86 ± 16 mg ascorbic acid equivalent/g honey. Correlation between the phenolic content and antioxidant activity were found to be statistically significant. Chestnut honeys (n = 5) exhibited maximum free radical scavenging activity with an average 68 ± 9%. The honey samples showed the highest antimicrobial activity against some microorganisms, especially Escherichia coli O157:H7, Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, and Proteus mirabilis. On the other side, Aeromonas hydrophila, Bacillus subtilis, and E. coli were the most resistant microorganisms. The results revealed that the Turkish honeys studied proved to be a good source of antioxidant and antimicrobial agents that might serve to protect human health.  相似文献

Three different Lactuca sativa L. varieties (Iceberg, Romaine and Baby head) were analysed in order to determine differences in the antioxidant activity, both hydrophilic and lipophilic, and in the total phenolic content of different leaves (stem, inner, medium and outermost leaves). Romaine showed the highest level of hydrophilic and lipophilic antioxidant activity, and its phenolic content was also higher than that of Iceberg and Baby head. According to leaf position, lipophilic antioxidant activity increased sharply from stem to outermost leaves, suggesting a protective role for the lipophilic antioxidant in mature or light-exposed leaves, while hydrophilic antioxidant activity shows a non-specific distribution. The phenolic content also increased in Romaine from stem to outermost leaves, although no significant changes were observed in Iceberg or Baby head lettuces in this respect.  相似文献

Antioxidant activity of three different extracts (ethanolic, chloroformic, and hexanic) of red flesh pitaya (Hylocereus polyrhizus) seed using free radical scavenging assay, linoleic acid model system, and ferric thiocyanate (FTC) method was determined. Ethanolic extract inhibit 74.76% of free radicals at 1000 μg/mL, while chloroformic extract gave the highest inhibition using linoleic acid model system (98.90% at 100 μg/mL) and FTC (96.34%) method. Total phenolic and ascorbic acid contents of the seed were 13.56 ± 2.04 and 0.36 ± 0.01 mg/g, respectively, while catechin was the major flavonoid detected. In conclusion, the study showed that both polar and non-polar compounds contribute to the antioxidative activity measured.  相似文献

This study was carried out to determine the phytochemical and antioxidant properties of two pigmented rice cultivars viz., Lingkang taker ame, Umling ame, and a non-pigmented rice Pungpo taker ame. Fourier transform infrared and high-performance liquid chromatography analysis of phenolic compounds were carried out for the rice cultivars. The highest level of total phenolic, anthocyanin, and scavenging activities were observed in Umling ame cultivar. Fourier transform infrared result of rice cultivars showed wide range of frequency (1131.60–3538.75 cm–1) which confirmed the presence of various phenolic compounds. Seven phenolic acids were detected in the rice cultivars. The highest value of salicylic acid (302.06 ± 0.01 mg/L), ferulic acid (17.21 ± 0.02 mg/L), apigenin (7.03 ± 0.01 mg/L), and gallic acid (0.98 ± 0.04 mg/L) were detected in Umling ame; whereas the highest value of quercetin (611.46 ± 0.01 mg/L) and caffeic acid (1.83 ± 0.01 mg/L) were found in Pungpo taker ame and Lingkang taker ame cultivars, respectively. Results revealed that the colored rice Umling ame showed higher phenolic content than other two rice cultivars Lingkang taker ame and Pungpo taker ame.  相似文献

This study investigated the changes in colour, volatile compounds, fatty acids, total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC) and antioxidant activity of kaffir lime leaves (makrud in Thai) Citrus hystrix D.C. after three drying treatments, namely hot‐air (HA) drying, low relative humidity (LRH) air drying and far‐infrared radiation (FIR) drying. Overall, when compared with fresh leaves, a slight decrease in L* values of the three dried samples was observed. TPC, TFC and ferric‐reducing/antioxidant power (FRAP) values were increased by LRH and FIR drying (LRH: 39%, 43% and 28%; FIR: 62%, 39% and 39%), while HA drying decreased TPC, TFC and FRAP values (28%, 21% and 1%), compared with fresh leaves. The main volatile compounds in fresh leaves were citronellal, followed by linalool and viridiflorol. Drying brought about an increase in the concentrations of volatile components, such as citronellal with HA, LRH and FIR drying (79%, 83% and 64%, respectively), compared with the results for fresh leaves (56%). LRH and HA drying increased essential fatty acid alpha‐linolenic acid (ALA, 18:3n‐3), while linoleic acid (LA, 18:2n‐6) was increased by FIR drying. The present study has provided useful information for the industrial use of dried kaffir lime production.  相似文献

为了探讨代代花化学成分的抗氧化活性,本文以代代花乙醇提取物为原料,采用硅胶柱、葡聚糖凝胶柱和聚酰胺柱等传统柱层析技术,结合高效液相色谱和核磁共振波谱等现代技术手段,从代代花氯仿相和乙酸乙酯相中分离纯化出3个化合物,分别鉴定为高圣草素、佛手酚和南酸枣苷,三者均为首次从代代花中分离得到。利用ABTS、DPPH、FRAP、总还原力四种体外抗氧化检测体系对三种化合物进行了抗氧化活性研究。总还原力测定实验中,佛手酚显示了良好的抗氧化能力,且效果优于高圣草素和南酸枣苷。ABTS自由基清除实验中,在最高浓度800μg/m L时,佛手酚和高圣草素的清除率分别为100%和95%,二者清除效果接近或等于阳性对照。DPPH自由基清除实验中,佛手酚的抗氧化效果最佳,其在最高浓度时的清除率达到79%。铁离子还原实验中,佛手酚和高圣草素在800μg/m L时的FRAP值分别为1.5585和1.1239,二者的铁离子还原能力比较接近于阳性对照的2.1682。  相似文献

使用20%硫酸与氯仿同步水解萃取决明子总蒽醌,利用正交试验法优化得到提取工艺为:提取温度60℃、料液比1∶30(g/mL)、20%硫酸与氯仿溶剂体积比0.6、提取时间3 h。采用1,1-二苯基-2-三硝基苯肼法、2,2’-联氮-双-(3-乙基苯并噻唑啉-6-磺酸)二铵盐法、铁离子还原法测定不同产地决明子总蒽醌的体外抗氧化活性。结果表明,印度决明子蒽醌抗氧化活性明显低于其他产地决明子,抗氧化活性总体顺序为河北河南安徽江西山东印度。采用高效液相色谱法分析6个产地决明子6种蒽醌含量,除了印度与河南产地决明子外,其他产地决明子大黄酚与橙黄决明素均达到了《中国药典》对决明子蒽醌中大黄酚含量不少于0.2%,橙黄决明素含量不少于0.08%的要求。  相似文献

以我国北方11 个主栽梨品种黄冠、绿宝石、雪梨、鸭梨、丰水、南水、圆黄、黄金、华山、五九香和早酥的果实为试材,分别测定了果皮、果心和果肉中可溶性酚的含量,并对酚类物质进行了高效液相色谱(highperformance liquid chromatography,HPLC)分析。通过分别测定果皮、果肉、果心的乙醇提取液对DPPH自由基和羟自由基的清除能力,对其所含酚类物质的抗氧化性能进行了评价。结果表明:1)梨果心酚类物质含量高于果皮,果肉最低;2)在果心和果皮中均检测出熊果苷、没食子酸、儿茶素、绿原酸、咖啡酸、表儿茶素、香豆酸和芦丁8 种酚类物质,而在果肉中检测出熊果苷、没食子酸、绿原酸、表儿茶素和芦丁5 种物质;3)熊果苷、绿原酸和表儿茶素都为果肉和果皮的主要酚类物质,果肉中绿原酸的含量高于熊果苷,果皮则反之,果心所含酚类物质以绿原酸和熊果苷为主,且绿原酸的含量高于熊果苷;4)果皮、果肉、果心不同部位的酚类物质的含量与1,1-二苯基-2-三硝基苯肼(1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl,DPPH)自由基清除能力和羟自由基清除能力间均分别呈显著正相关关系,表明酚类物质与自由基清除能力的关系密切。  相似文献
