This paper discusses the design and evaluation of an implemented user model in ICICLE, an instruction system for users writing in a second language. We show that in the task of disambiguating natural language parses, a blended model combining overlay techniques with user stereotyping representing typical linguistic acquisition sequences captures user individuality while supplementing incomplete information with stereotypic reasoning  相似文献

A simple interactive language named Micro MUMPS has been implemented on a microcomputer system. Its powerful facilities for data base manipulation and character handling make programming easy for end users who are unfamiliar with computers. Micro MUMPS is a practical subset of the language MUMPS which has been implemented on many minicomputers, and it also has some additional capabilities indispensable to micro-computer applications. A modified prefix B-tree is used in Micro MUMPS database and its organization can be changed according to the requirements of space and time efficiency. The design criteria of Micro MUMPS and micro-computer based implementation techniques are discussed in this paper.  相似文献

文章探讨了如何让在手语新闻播报中的卡通人按照自然手语的语法规则而非正常人的语法规则来打手语。首先整理了现代汉语自然手语的规则并将其形式化,并建立了正常汉语到汉语自然手语转换的形式规则库;从而实现了现代汉语文本到相应的自然手语的手语动作序列的自动生成。最后将其嵌入到通过手语合成技术和卡通动画的手语新闻播报系统中,使其在线输出的是符合聋人习惯的自然手语。  相似文献

本文在自然语言理解的基础上, 对自动文摘系统进行研究。研究在两级上进行, 一级是基于中心名词, 中心动词同其修饰成分间关系研究, 实现句子成分过滤, 完成句子主干提取。一级是上下文级, 基于篇章文体结构, 句子语义关联, 分别实现摘要基集产生算法, 摘要基集扩充算法及摘要集合生成算法。摘要基集的产生依赖于中心段, 中心句选取, 摘要基集扩充和摘要集合产生依赖于模糊语义距离的测试。  相似文献

In this paper an application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to Medical Robotics is described. Namely, a specific AI technique is employed to generate a sequence of operations understandable by the control system of a robot which is to perform a semi-automatic surgical task. According to this technique, a planner is implemented to translate the “natural” language of the surgeon into the robotic sequence that should be executed by the robot. A robotic simulator has been implemented in order to test the planned sequence in a virtual environment. The planned sequence is then to be input to the medical robotic system, which will execute the surgical operation. The work described in this paper features a high level of originality, since no similar applications of AI to medical robotics could be found in the scientific literature.  相似文献

Transportability has perpetually been the nemesis of natural language processing systems, in both the research and commercial sectors. During the last 20 years, the technology has not moved much closer to providing robust coverage of everyday language, and has failed to produce commercial successes beyond a few specialized interfaces and application programs. the redesign required for each application has limited the impact of natural language systems. Trump (TRansportable Understanding Mechanism Package) is a natural language analyzer that functions in a variety of domains, in both interfaces and text processing. While other similar efforts have treated transportability as a problem in knowledge engineering, Trump instead relies mainly on a “core” of knowledge about language and a set of techniques for applying that knowledge within a domain. the information about words, word meanings, and linguistic relations in this generic knowledge base guides the conceptual framework of language interpretation in each domain. Turmp uses this core knowledge to piece together a conceptual representation of a natural language input by combining generic and specialized inforamtion. the result has been a language processing system that is capable of performing fairly extensive analysis with a minimum of customization for each application.  相似文献

We propose an alternative method of machine–aided translation: Structure–Based Machine Translation (SBMT). SBMT uses language structure matching techniques to reduce complicated grammar rules and provide efficient and feasible translation results. SBMT comprises the following four features: (1) source language input sentence analysis; (2) source language sentence transformation into target language structure; (3) dictionary lookup; and (4) semantic disambiguation or word sense disambiguation (WSD) for correct output selection. This paper describes TORUS, a natural language understanding system that serves as a front end to a data base management system in order to facilitate communication with casual users. The system employs a semantic network to store knowledge about a data base of student files. This knowledge is used to find the meaning of each input statement, to decide what action to take with respect to the data base, and to select information that must be output in response to the input statement. Agent-oriented programming techniques seem appropriate for developing systems that operate in complex, dynamic, and unpredictable environments. We aim to address this requirement by developing model-checking techniques for the (automatic or semiautomatic) verification of rational-agent systems written in a logic-based agent-oriented programming language. Typically, developers apply model-checking techniques to abstract models of a system rather than the system implementation. Although this is important for detecting design errors at an early stage, developers might still introduce errors during coding. In contrast, developers can directly apply our model-checking techniques to systems implemented in an agent-oriented programming language, automatically verifying agent systems without the usual gap between design and implementation. We developed our techniques for AgentSpeak, a rational-agent programming language based on the AgentSpeak (L) abstract agent-oriented programming language. AgentSpeak shares many features of the agent-oriented programming paradigm. Similarly, we've developed techniques for automatically translating AgentSpeak programs into the model specification language of existing model-checking systems. In this way, we reduce the problem of verifying that an AgentSpeak system has certain BDI logic properties to a conventional LTL model-checking problem.  相似文献

Many generic position-estimation algorithms are vulnerable to ambiguity introduced by nonunique landmarks. Also, the available high-dimensional image data is not fully used when these techniques are extended to vision-based localization. This paper presents the landmark matching, triangulation, reconstruction, and comparison (LTRQ global localization algorithm, which is reasonably immune to ambiguous landmark matches. It extracts natural landmarks for the (rough) matching stage before generating the list of possible position estimates through triangulation. Reconstruction and comparison then rank the possible estimates. The LTRC algorithm has been implemented using an interpreted language, onto a robot equipped with a panoramic vision system. Empirical data shows remarkable improvement in accuracy when compared with the established random sample consensus method. LTRC is also robust against inaccurate map data.  相似文献

针对城市公交运营调度手段落后、无法对运营车辆实时监控的现状,按照面向对象软件工程的思想,采用统一建模语言(UML)对城市公变调度软件系统进行了设计和实现.在需求分析的基础上,分别采用类结构图和时序图从动态角度和静态角度描述了软件系统的模型,并给出了部分通信协议和协议解析代码.该系统已采用C#语言在.NET平台上实现,并在实验室进行了测试.测试结果表明设计的正确性,实现了预期功能.  相似文献

During the course of determining the sequence of a large DNA fragment, it is necessary to cross-check numerous gel readings from different DNA fragments, in order to track and eliminate mistakes. An algorithm is presented that takes advantage of the high degree of homology between such sequences to construct an alignment of the matching regions. It does not require knowledge of a starting homology zone, neither large memory areas, even for sequences of several kilobases, and it can overcome large gaps or mismatch zones that correspond for instance to misinterpretation of compressions on sequence gels. This algorithm has been implemented in 6502 assembly language on an Apple II computer as an extension to the PEGASE sequence handling system.  相似文献

Simulation of multi-engineering systems typically requires many issues to be solved, which are to be addressed by developing appropriate modeling and simulation programming techniques. In the last years, the authors have participated in several studies in which they analyzed in detail electrified railway systems and simulated them using Modelica language. After a few years of study, despite the huge complexity of these systems, it has appeared evident that Modelica language is very well suited and able to effectively solve the typical issues they present. While specific railway system simulations have already been discussed in specific papers, whose focus was on application and actual results, in this paper, the authors show how to use Modelica language to solve specific modeling issues through suitable programming techniques. Moreover, the issues to be solved and the conceived techniques may be interpreted in a general way and to be applied also in different engineering domains. Finally, this paper briefly recalls the principal results obtained in previous specific papers, in which these techniques were fully implemented.  相似文献
