We report an efficient CW far-off-resonance Raman laser in H/sub 2/ gas pumped by an injection-locked broad-area diode laser. The pump wavelength 794 nm is Raman shifted to the Stokes wavelength 1185 nm. The total output Stokes power reaches 21.6/spl plusmn/0.5 mW and the photon conversion efficiency reaches (74/spl plusmn/10)%.  相似文献

对分布布拉格反射(DBR)的透射特性进行了分析,制作了一个单频窄线宽掺镱光纤DBR激光器.在977 nm半导体激光器泵浦下,在1052.5 nm波长处输出功率可达4 mW,线宽小于8 MHz(受测量仪器分辨率限制).采用弧形梁调谐光纤光栅,实现了DBR光纤激光器在单纵模工作状态下的连续调谐,调谐范围可达20.4 nm(1036.1~1056.5 nm),并研究了调谐对激光器的泵浦阈值和斜率效率的影响.  相似文献

Lasing at 482 nm is observed in Tm3+-doped ZBLAN glass fiber pumped with single-mode InP semiconductor diode lasers. Up to 5 mW of 482 nm light is obtained with <40 mW of absorbed pump power from a single 1135 nm pump diode laser. The optimum pump wavelength is measured to be 1135-1340 nm. More efficient laser operation is observed in fiber with 2500 ppm Tm3+ compared to 1000 ppm Tm3+ because of the reduced length of the fiber laser cavity possible with increased doping. Improved slope efficiencies are also demonstrated when the fiber laser is co-pumped with up to 5 mW from a 1220 nm diode laser. The relative intensity noise (RIN) of the fiber laser displays a maximum of -90 dB/Hz at relaxation oscillation frequencies of a few tens of kHz. The measurement of RIN is limited by shot-noise of -152 dB/Hz above 2 MHz. At higher frequencies, self mode-locking was observed in the fiber laser, which may indicate the existence of saturable absorbers in the fiber core. The presence of such bleachable absorbers is indicated by the observed increase in threshold after upconversion lasing at 482 mm  相似文献

报道了一个激光二极管(LD)抽运多波长连续输出的激光器和一个被动调Q的固体激光器。该激光器的增益材料是一种新型掺Yb3 的晶体Yb3 ∶Lu2SiO5(Yb∶LSO)。当吸收的抽运功率为2.57 W时,连续输出的最大功率为490 mW,斜率效率为22.2%,光-光转换效率为14.2%,激光阈值为299 mW,输出激光波长为1084 nm。多波长输出时,波长调谐范围为1034~1085 nm。利用InGaAs可饱和吸收镜实现调Q输出时,斜率效率为3.0%,激光波长为1058 nm。脉冲重复频率为25~39 kHz,重复频率随着抽运功率的增加而增加。  相似文献

报道了高功率半导体可饱和吸收镜被动锁模的2.0μm掺铥飞秒脉冲光纤激光器的实验结果。该光纤激光器利用半导体可饱和吸收镜与宽带全反射镜来构成线型法布里-珀罗腔,自制的1550nm连续掺铒光纤激光器作为激光抽运源。当抽运功率为312mW时,开始得到稳定的重复频率为53MHz的锁模激光脉冲串。当抽运功率增加到472mW时,得到的最大平均输出功率为50mW,相应的最高单脉冲能量为0.94nJ;此时测得锁模激光脉冲的宽度为907fs,激光的中心波长为1939.5nm,3dB光谱带宽为4.6nm。  相似文献

Characterization of diode-pumped laser operation of a novel Yb:GSO Crystal   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
We report what is believed to be the first demonstration of the laser action of Yb/sup 3+/-doped Gd/sub 2/SiO/sub 5/ (Yb:GSO)crystal pumped by a 940-nm laser diode at room temperature. The threshold of laser generation is only 0.85 kW/cm/sup 2/, which is smaller than the theoretic threshold of Yb:YAG (1.54 kW/cm/sup 2/). The laser wavelength is 1090 nm. With a 2.5% output coupler, the maximum output power is 415 mW under a pump power of 5W. By using the SESAM, the Q-switched modelocking and CW mode-locked operations are demonstrated.  相似文献

设计了一种采用不同波长的蓝光二极管合光作为抽运源并采用双端抽运的方式抽运Pr:YLF晶体320 nm紫外激光器。该激光器结构采用V型折叠腔结构,使用波长分别为444 nm和469 nm、抽运功率分别为3 W和1.4 W的蓝光激光二极管作为抽运源,对12 mm长、0.3%掺杂浓度的Pr:YLF晶体进行抽运,并且使用三硼酸锂晶体作为倍频晶体来实现倍频,匹配方式为I类相位匹配。通过对谐振腔参数进行优化,当5700 mW的抽运功率注入晶体时,输出了1005 mW最大输出功率的320 nm紫外连续激光,光光转换效率约为17.6%。  相似文献

An organic vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser is demonstrated, which is pumped by an InGaN-based blue laser diode. The vertical-cavity laser structure consists of a poly-N-vinylcarbazole film doped with Coumarin 540A and two Bragg reflectors made of TiO2/SiO2 quarter-wave thin films. By driving the pump laser diode with a pulse width of 3.5 ns, singlemode lasing was achieved at a wavelength of 540 nm for a threshold pump power of 137 mW/pulse.  相似文献

A 50-GHz grid fiber distributed feedback laser wavelength-division-multiplexing transmitter source is demonstrated pumped by a single continuous-wave Yb-fiber laser source at 977 nm. Up to 21 mW of output power is achieved per channel with maintenance of key operational parameters. The performance of this single Yb-fiber laser pump configuration is also compared with that of a semiconductor pump configuration which shows no degradation for all the important parameters.  相似文献

The author describes a continuous-wave (CW) dye laser has been pumped by laser diodes for the first time. Two 10-mW visible laser diodes were polarization-combined to pump a rhodamine 700 dye jet laser. The absorbed pump threshold power was 5.6 mW, and 0.28 mW of output power was produced at 758 nm. This letter describes an optically pumped high-power InP-based semiconductor disk laser with a thin (50 /spl mu/m) diamond heat spreader bonded to the surface of the gain chip. The diamond heat spreader performs the multiple functions of heat removal, spectral filtering, and wavelength stabilization by utilizing the high thermal conductivity and the low thermooptic coefficient of diamond, along with the large free-spectral range of a thin intracavity etalon. A pump-power-limited output power of 680 mW at 1.55 /spl mu/m is demonstrated at a heat sink temperature of -30/spl deg/C, and 140 mW at room temperature. The spectral width was measured to be less than 0.08 nm and the spectral drift with temperature and pump power as low as 0.03 nm//spl deg/C and 0.14 nm/W, respectively.  相似文献

Reports the observation of a strong dependence of the emission spectrum (centre wavelength and linewidth) of Nd:silica fibre lasers on pump wavelength. In a particular fibre, careful selection of the pump wavelength has led to the operation of a broadband fibre laser at 1060 nm with 19 nm FWHM bandwidth. When pumped with a 30 mW diode laser, it exhibits a 1 mW threshold, a 2.5 mW output, and an intrinsic average wavelength temperature stability of about 10 p.p.m./°C  相似文献

A dye laser pumped by AlGaInP laser diodes produced efficient, low threshold operation at wavelengths between 740 and 800 nm. Rhodamine 700, oxazine 750, DOTCI and oxazine 1 dyes were demonstrated. Optical conversion efficiencies approaching 50% and output power as high as 361 mW were obtained when pumping with a DCM-based dye laser. Parametric variations of the pump power and wavelength were performed over the range of 615 nm to 690 nm to provide a more complete characterization of the dye laser  相似文献

报道了一种高输出功率、高斜率效率的短腔ErYb共掺杂光纤激光器。激光谐振腔由一段ErYb共掺杂单模光纤与一对布拉格反射波长相同的光纤布拉格光栅(FBG)组成。反射率为60%的光纤光栅用作光纤激光器谐振腔的输出,3dB带宽为016nm。反射率为99%的光纤光栅作为高宽带反射腔镜,同时作为抽运光输入端,3dB带宽102nm。以980nm激光二极管(LD)作抽运源进行实验。使用不同的抽运功率分别测量不同长度的ErYb共掺杂光纤,优化光纤激光器谐振腔得到的最佳长度仅为13cm。即选用13cmErYb共掺杂光纤作为增益介质来制作短腔ErYb光纤光栅激光器,最大输出功率可达11mW,输出功率稳定性<±001dB,抽运阈值功率为35mW,斜率效率为153%,测量其15522nm激光的输出光谱,25dB线宽为03nm,边模抑制比>60dB,波长稳定性为005nm。可用于密集波分复用(DWDM)系统。  相似文献

报道了基于偏振旋转技术等效快可饱和吸收体的被动调Q锁模光纤激光器,采用976 nm半导体激光器作为抽运源,高掺杂浓度的Yb3 光纤作为增益介质构成环形腔,通过调节抽运光功率和偏振控制器的角度得到了调Q,调Q锁模与锁模三种稳定的输出脉冲。获得的锁模脉冲中心波长为1.05μm,重复频率为20 MHz,脉冲光谱宽度为13.8 nm,抽运功率为270 mW时,锁模平均输出功率为15.82 mW;调Q频率为17.54 kHz,调Q脉冲宽度为8μs,光谱宽度为4.7 nm;调Q锁模中调Q重复频率为300 kHz。  相似文献

A red-wavelength semiconductor disk laser (SDL) optically pumped by gallium nitride laser diodes is reported. This is believed to be the first demonstration of a directly diode-pumped visible wavelength SDL. In this initial demonstration, pump-power-limited continuouswave output power up to 12.2 mW was achieved around room temperature in a single transverse mode with 2% output coupling. Insertion of an intracavity birefringent filter allowed tuning of the output over 11 nm around a centre wavelength of 672 nm.  相似文献

The characteristics of an erbium-doped fiber amplifier pumped by a 532-nm diode-pumped Nd:YAG laser are presented. A maximum system gain of 31 dB at 591 Mb/s is obtained with a corresponding system noise of less than 0.5 dB. An amplified signal output power of greater than 10 mW was obtained, with a coupled pump power of 46 mW and a corresponding quantum efficiency of around 65%. By optimizing the erbium fiber design, higher system gains and saturation power levels are feasible. These figures, and in particular the combination of high output powers and low noise, establish the usefulness of this pump laser as a viable alternative to the semiconductor pump lasers currently under investigation at 1480 and 980 nm.<>  相似文献

The first demonstration of upconversion pumped lasing at green wavelengths in an Er/sup 3+/-doped fluorozirconate fibre laser is reported. 15 mW continuous wave emission at a wavelength of 546 nm has been achieved for an absorbed pump power of 300 mW.<>  相似文献
