Recently there has been a new emerging trend in integrating Information Centric Networking (ICN) and Software Defined Networking (SDN) together in the future Internet research area. Software defined information centric networking (SD-ICN) may face more serious scalability problem in control plane compared with traditional SDN environment due to new features about in-network caching and content-based communication. In this paper, we propose a scalable area-based hierarchical architecture (SAHA) for intra-domain communication to address the control plane scalability problem in SD-ICN. The SAHA supports scalable awareness of network resources and content resources, as well as guarantees efficient interest matching and resource adaptation. Simulation experiments under OMNET++ show that the proposed SAHA can achieve outstanding scalability in resource awareness and content-based communication.  相似文献

Wireless networks have been in focus since the last few decades due to their indispensable role in the future generation networks like the Internet of Things (IoT). However, the associated challenges in wireless network implementation such as distance, line-of-sight, interference, weather, power issues, etc., affect the performance adversely. Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a future generation networking technology and has been proven to alleviate the performance challenges in the existing wireless IoT networks. It helps to evolve the wireless IoT domain in the form of Software Defined Wireless Network based IoT (SDWN-IoT). Traffic Engineering (TE) has been part of traditional network designs since long back, to improve the performance of the communication networks. However, its more optimized forms and their usefulness in SDWN-IoT networks have been under active investigation. This work explores the existing literature related to the major types of SDWN-IoT networks namely, Software Defined Wireless Sensor Network based IoT (SDWSN-IoT) and Software Defined Wireless Mesh Network based IoT (SDWMN-IoT). Additionally, the article also draws some useful inferences, and compares respective contributions and shortcomings. Finally, various research opportunities and challenges have been discussed with respect to the SDWSN-IoT and SDWMN-IoT networks.  相似文献

信息中心网络(Information-Centric Networking,ICN)中的服务质量(Quality of Service,QoS)路由是分布式的,无法感知其它路由器缓存的内容,因此,基于软件定义网络(Software Defined Networking,SDN)的全局视图和集中控制功能,本文提出了一种基于兴趣域划分的ICN路由机制.这种机制旨在减轻内容节点的负载、提高路由成功率和提高PIT命中率.首先,本文提出了基于SDN的ICN网络模型,即软件定义信息中心型网络(Software Defined Information Centric Networking,SD-ICN)模型和QoS评价模型.然后,采用蜂群算法将网络中的路由器划分到不同的兴趣域.最后,基于改进的QoS依赖多播路由(QoS Dependent M ulticast Routing,QDM R)算法计算满足多个兴趣请求的转发路径.仿真实验结果表明,本文提出的路由机制与对比机制相比在路由成功率、平均路由延迟、负载均衡度等方面都具有较好的性能.  相似文献

Too often, software developers follow inefficient methods and procedures. The Personal Software Process, developed by Watts Humphrey at the Software Engineering Institute, provides software engineers with a methodology for consistently and efficiently developing high quality products. The value of PSP has been shown in three case studies-three industrial software groups have used PSP and have collected data to show its effectiveness. They are: Advanced Information Services, Inc., Motorola Paging Products Group, and Union Switch and Signal Inc. Each has trained several groups of engineers and measured the results of several projects that used PSP methods. In all cases, the projects were part of the companies' normal operations and not designed for this study. The three companies offered a variety of situations useful for demonstrating the versatility of PSP. The projects at Motorola and US&S involved software maintenance and enhancement, while those at AIS involved new product development and enhancement. Among the companies, application areas included commercial data processing, internal manufacturing support, communications product support, and real time process control.
