We have experimentally investigated the influence of a transverse entrainment flow (wind) on the trajectory of a turbulent jet, as well as on the distribution of the concentration of the gas being discharged along that jet (hydrogen, helium, nitrogen). The entraining flow of air is formed in open space. Its trajectory falls out along points corresponding to the maximum concentrations in the lateral cross section of the jet. An experimental investigation is performed of modes of outflow into stationary air and of supersonic flow of a plasma jet developed by a capillary plasma generator. A theoretical model is suggested, which explains the obtained experimental results and enables one to simulate the process of injection of plasma jet into a supersonic air flow. The possibility is demonstrated of using such jets for the ignition of supersonic flows of combustible mixture.  相似文献

对雷诺数Re=1200条件下的圆柱在均匀来流中横向受迫振荡的尾流控制问题进行数值模拟分析.通过尾部加喷射气流对不同旋涡脱落模式进行尾流控制,通过对圆柱在不同振幅和振荡频率下涡脱落情况进行观察研究,最终在无量纲振荡频率feD/V=0.21,振幅比A/D=0.5情况下发现了2S旋涡脱落模式并通过在柱体尾部施加不同速度的喷射气流对其进行控制;在feD/V∞=0.189,A/D=1.5情况下发现了P+S旋涡脱落模式并在柱体尾部施加不同速度的喷射气流对其进行控制.涡量图和功率频谱图结果表明,在2S模式下,喷射气流对旋涡脱落抑制效果明显,尤其当喷射速度Ve=5m/s时效果显著.而在P+S模式下,当喷射速度Ve=2.5m/s时旋涡脱落抑制效果较好,而当喷射速度Ve分别为5m/s和7.5m/s时,抑制效果一般.  相似文献

分析了基于流体附壁效应而自激产生的旋进射流的流动特征,采用大涡模拟(LES)方法研究了射流喷嘴内部的流场.数值模拟得到了流场的速度分布和压力分布,比较了膨胀比、长径比等喷嘴结构参数以及雷诺数对旋进射流流动的影响.数值模拟表明旋进射流的轴向流动速度衰减得很快,流场中存在明显的旋流、附壁效应和反向回流现象,所得到的结果与已有的分析结论基本吻合.  相似文献

In the present paper, three-dimensional modeling results are presented concerning the turbulent thermal plasma jet with transversely injected carrier gas and metal particles at atmospheric pressure. The standard K− model is employed for the numerical simulation of the turbulent plasma flow in coupling with the variable-property continuity, momentum and energy equations. For predicting the motion of the injected particles in the turbulent flow field, an improved particle stochastic-trajectory model is adopted in the calculation. The heating histories of the injected particles are also calculated in their moving processes. The modeling results show that including the effect of carrier gas on jet and particle behavior is very important. The plasma jet is deflected from its geometrical axis due to the transverse injection of carrier gas, and the particle trajectories are also appreciably changed by the carrier gas injection. The particles disperse around their average trajectories in the turbulent flow field.  相似文献

A low-pressure glow discharge in a transverse supersonic gas flow was experimentally studied for the case where the flow only partially fills the interelectrode gap. It is shown that the space region with supersonic gas flow has a higher concentration of gas particles and, therefore, works as a charged particle generator. The near-electrode regions of glow discharge are concentrated specifically in this region. This structure of glow discharge is promising for plasma deposition of coatings under ultralow pressures.  相似文献

An expansion in terms of the ratio lambda of the characteristic crossflow velocity U infinity to jet velocity Uj, where lambda=U infinity/Uj<1, is used to obtain a representation of the basic three-dimensional steady flow in the nearfield of a transverse jet at large Reynolds numbers and to study its dominant instability. The inviscid vortex sheet analysis of Coelho and Hunt is extended so as to include asymptotic analysis of the viscous shear layers forming along the boundaries of the jet. These not only allow for continuity of the velocity components but also create vorticity whose advection induces an O(lambda) axial flow in the direction of the jet. A uniformly valid solution is then constructed for use in a stability analysis that concentrates on the effect of crossflow upon the dominant mode of the free jet. Both the characteristic frequency and growth rate of this mode are found to increase with lambda, in qualitative agreement with recent experimental observations.  相似文献
