多媒体是指集图形、声音、文字、动画和影像为一体的技术手段。不少人对多媒体课件的使用存在误区,限制了多媒体课件的使用,但如果教师在设计课件时能够避免这些误区,就能够实现多媒体课件与传统教学手段的互补,充分发挥多媒体课件的作用。笔者结合自己几年来的多媒体课件设计和制作心得,结合实际案例,浅谈关于中学生物多媒体课件设计的几点看法。  相似文献

This paper presents first hand experience with the development and implementation of interactive multimedia instructional materials for an engineering economy course attended by 1000 engineering students over three years at Virginia Tech. The interactive software was developed from a National Science Foundation grant aimed at enhancing the undergraduate engineering curriculum through increased emphasis on design and economic principles. The purpose of this paper is to describe the type of multimedia instructional materials that were developed, how they were implemented, and, finally, to present an evaluation of the results from a survey in which the benefits of multimedia-based support materials were assessed  相似文献

The multimedia system described in this paper demonstrates the successful integration of multimedia into education and provides a clear example of how multimedia can be used to deliver computer engineering and computer science concepts to the often diverse student base. The paper describes an interactive, knowledge-based multimedia system that has been used to teach users about the basic aspects of computer architecture, organization, and design. The system is well suited for self-paced, student directed study, student review, and classroom presentation and discussion. The system allows learners to choose how information will be displayed, changing for example, among text, graphics, animation, and simulation. The hypermedia capabilities built into the system enables it to respond based on the dynamic evaluation of both the contexts of the human-computer collaboration and the knowledge base underlying the visible screen presentation. The system serves as a very useful aid to introduce and demonstrate some of the fundamental ideas of computer architecture and organization  相似文献

This paper describes an ongoing study in improving entry-level engineering education through the deployment of new teaching and learning tools. We introduce a computer-aided interactive multimedia manufacturing courseware. To improve manufacturing education we need to change not only the process of teaching and learning, but also provide new tools and technology that promote efficient learning and make it widely available and continuously improving. To address this manufacturing education challenge, we are presently designing a program based on a new computer-aided education paradigm that embodies total quality management (TQM) and critical thinking (CT) concepts. An interactive multimedia manufacturing courseware lies at the heart of this new computer-aided education paradigm. The manufacturing engineering multimedia courseware (MEMC) includes: on-line lectures, audiovideo education tools, interactive computer software, on-line assignment and exams, information about faculty, and on-line evaluation tools to obtain users' feedback to enhance teaching. It also makes access available to related academia, industry, and government research and education information through the World Wide Web. In this paper, we briefly review the status of engineering education in the United States and describe the appropriateness of unifying the concepts of TQM and CT. Computer vision has historically been taught as a graduate subject since few examples of the discipline were being practiced in mainstream engineering. In recent years, the incorporation of multimedia into embedded devices has drawn some vision topics into mainstream attention. Examples of consumer products include digital video recorders, cellular phones, and automobile collision-avoidance systems. This paper describes the development of an undergraduate course that incorporates some vision topics into the larger context of embedded computing. Traditional topics, such as processor types, dynamic power management, and real-time scheduling, are taught alongside relevant vision topics, such as codecs, concurrent interfaces, and multimedia signal acquisition, storage, and rendering. In lab work, the students program hardware to operate as a digital video camera. While the primary goal for the course is to teach embedded computing, a secondary goal for the course is to entice students into graduate study in computer vision. However, a major developmental point was to justify the vision content in the context of how it serves the needs of students not opting for graduate study, as well as how the course would impact students working in other related graduate research areas.  相似文献

An interactive multimedia educational manual on the Internet through the World Wide Web for commercial optical fiber telecommunications equipment is described. The Telecommunications Laboratory Manual is a vehicle for enhancing engineering education with realistic laboratory or virtual laboratory experience. The manual provides a brief system tutorial, operating instructions, online help, and multimedia experimental demonstrations. It incorporates block diagrams, photographic images, and hypertext links that are mouse clickable, allowing users to access documents or links describing components or processes in any order. An experimental section guides students through laboratory experiences, demonstrates selected equipment characteristics, and provides for direct instructor contact through e-mail. Other remote resources on the Internet are linked to create a global multimedia library. 把立德树人作为教学中心环节已成为我国高等教育事业新趋势,如何在工科专业课程中润物无声地融入思政元素是一个需要探讨的问题。为了培养德才兼备的复合性人才,高校必须尽快建立适用于工科专业课程的思政建设方案。该文分析工科专业涉及到的科学、技术、工程的国界属性,充分挖掘基于工科专业课程的培养模式与思政元素,构建工科专业人才培养的课程思政教学体系。文章分析传道受业解惑三者在课程中的辩证关系,针对六项课程思政培养目标,将工科专业课解构为5个典型教学环节,在这个课程思政教学框架下,提出十类课程思政在专业课中的融入策略,以期为我国工科专业的人才全方位培养提供参考。并以电气工程专业的核心专业课《电力系统分析》为例,探讨所提出的工科专业课程思政建设方案的有效性和可行性。  相似文献

This paper reports on new efforts in the modernization of the basic undergraduate courses and a graduate curriculum in electric power engineering. The main focus of the paper is the modernization of the way power engineering is portrayed to students. The motivation is the recognition of the new deregulated and restructured environment in power engineering and the broadening of the area in general. At the undergraduate level, a multimedia approach is described in which renovation of the curriculum is done in such a way as to allow broadening of the subject material. At the graduate level, new efforts in power electronics and electric power quality are described. Computer-aided multimedia education is increasingly popular within the classroom and laboratory. The applications of market-ready mathematical and database programming software for teaching engineering course outline is well appreciated. This article shows how MathCad can be used to introduce electrical machine characteristics simulated at different possible control modes. The undergraduate students require minimum knowledge of a programming language. The examples presented in the article show how MathCad software can be used to simplify some of the characteristics of the three-phase and one-phase induction machine. The result of introducing math software as a teaching tool at the third- and fourth-year level have been accepted and are now used as part of the practical sessions for the electrical machine and other credited courses at Birzeit University, West Bank and Gaza in the Palestine  相似文献
