Lithium-ion batteries play an important role in large-scale energy storage systems. However, the power inconsistency of the battery packs restricts the developments of modern technologies in energy storage area. The motivation of the present study is to serve the growing needs of the energy balance for lithium-ion battery packs. The present study proposes a flexible multiphase interleaved converter for the energy equalization of a lithium battery pack with series configuration. Moreover, the graph theory is applied to the analysis of equalization circuits. It is intended to establish a unified standard for the comparison. The parameter of average efficiency is considered as an important indicator to evaluate the performance of the equilibrium system. This mentioned method is verified by constructing a lithium-ion battery pack with the equalization circuit. It is observed that the proposed multiphase interleaved converter has flexible characteristics, while it has low energy loss compared with the conventional methods. The proposed method simplifies the complex equalization circuits into graphs and facilitates the comparison of the average efficiency of the system. It is concluded that this method is a feasible and powerful for evaluating the battery equalization circuit. This approach can be applied for solving complex problems in other engineering applications.  相似文献

近年来,锂离子电池在储能电站调频领域得到了飞速发展。为满足调频电站的电压和功率要求,需将大量电池单体进行串联,如此产生的电池组串联不一致性问题,以及调频过程中高倍率和频繁切换充放电状态对不一致性程度的加剧,严重影响电池组的使用寿命和安全性能。针对上述问题,本文基于调频储能串联锂离子电池模组不一致性问题的形成原因,归纳分析用于改善电池组串联不一致性问题的均衡技术和均衡策略。其中,均衡拓扑结构按能量流向角度进行分类梳理,均衡控制策略则基于均衡的不同目标进行优劣分析。在此基础上对锂离子调频电池模组均衡技术的发展趋势进行展望。  相似文献

简述了电动汽车锂离子动力电池热失控蔓延机理、建模与抑制技术的最新研究进展。为了满足汽车高能量的要求,需要动力电池进行串并联成组来提供动力。电池组成组安全问题成为电动汽车大规模应用的重要技术问题。电池组中的某一个电池单体发生热失控后产生大量热,导致周围电池单体受热产生热失控。因而,电池组成组安全问题的重要关注点是电池组内的热失控蔓延问题。本文对锂离子电池热失控蔓延问题的国内外研究进展进行了综述,分析了对于不同种类锂离子动力电池影响其热失控蔓延特性的主要因素。总结了文献中的热失控蔓延建模方法,并指出了已有方法的不足。从电池系统热安全管理的角度,阐述并分析了热失控蔓延防控技术的研究成果与方向。最后对锂离子电池热失控蔓延研究进行了展望。  相似文献

A portable proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cell-battery power system that uses hydrogen as fuel has a higher power density than conventional batteries, and it is one of the most promising environmentally friendly small-scale alternative energy sources. A general methodology of modeling, control and building of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell-battery system is introduced in this study. A set of fuel cell-battery power system models have been developed and implemented in the Simulink environment. This model is able to address the dynamic behaviors of a PEM fuel cell stack, a boost DC/DC converter and a lithium-ion battery. To control the power system and thus achieve proper performance, a set of system controllers, including a PEM fuel cell reactant supply controller and a power management controller, were developed based on the system model. A physical 100 W PEM fuel cell-battery power system with an embedded micro controller was built to validate the simulation results and to demonstrate this new environmentally friendly power source. Experimental results demonstrated that the 100 W PEM fuel cell-battery power system operated automatically with the varying load conditions as a stable power supply. The experimental results followed the basic trend of the simulation results.  相似文献

为了有效地提高锂离子电池寿命评估的准确性,延长储能系统在配电网中运行年限,文章提出了基于加速寿命试验的锂离子电池可靠性分析方法。综合考虑不同放电深度对锂离子电池寿命影响,建立了锂离子电池的寿命衰退模型;确定了荷电状态(SOC)与健康度(SOH)的关联特性关系;提出了基于逆幂率方程的储能系统加速寿命试验方法;基于情景分析法对锂离子电池的可靠性进行了分析。研究结果表明,文章所提出的试验方法能够准确地对不同运行状态下的锂离子电池储能系统进行可靠性评估,保证储能系统并网运行过程中的调控准确性。  相似文献

The rapid growth of transportation demand has been enlarged strongly which has promoted electric vehicles powered by lithium-ion batteries. However, the inconsistencies within the battery pack will deteriorate over the lifecycle and affect the performance of electric vehicles. Therefore, various thermal management systems and equalization systems have been applied in battery management system to deal with the inconsistencies, extend battery service life, and improve safety performance. This review summarizes the origination of inconsistency within lithium-ion batteries from production to usage process, and then introduces the classification methods and application scenarios of the balance management system in detail. Based on the circuit topology, equalization systems can be classified into passive and active topologies. Active topologies are widely researched due to the advantages of high equalization efficiency and high speed, and the state-of-art innovations are presented and compared from the prospective of circuit, energy flow, efficiency and system complexity. In addition, this review focuses on the mainstream equalization strategies based on the analysis of balancing variables and control algorithms in terms of efficiency, complexity and stability, especially in the areas of variables optimal selection and advanced control algorithms. It is expected that innovations such as cloud control methods and hybrid balancing systems equipped with thermal management will become the future direction of lithium-ion equalization technologies.  相似文献

This article proposes an active balancer, which features bidirectional charge shuttling and adaptive equalization current control, to fast counterbalance the state of charge (SOC) of cells in a lithium-ion battery (LIB) string. The power circuit consists of certain bidirectional buck-boost converters to transfer energy among the different cells back and forth. Owing to the characterization of the open-circuit voltage (OCV) vs SOC in LIB being relatively smooth near the SOC middle range, the SOC-inspected balance strategy can achieve more precise and efficient equilibrium than the voltage-based control. Accordingly, a compensated OCV-based SOC estimation is put forward to take into account the discrepancy of SOC estimation. Besides, the varied-duty-cycle (VDC) and curve-fitting modulation (CFM) methods are devised herein to tackle the problems of slow equalization rate and low balance efficacy, which arise from the diminution in balancing current as the SOC difference between the cells decreases in the later duration of equalization especially. The proposed strategies have taken the battery nonlinear characteristic and circuit parameter nonideality into account and can adaptively modulate the duty cycle with the SOC difference to keep balancing current constant throughout the balancing cycle. Simulated and experimental results are given to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the same prototype constructed. Compared with the fixed duty cycle and the VDC methods, the proposed CFM has the best balancing efficiency of 81.4%, and the balance time is shortened by 27.1% and 18.6%, respectively.  相似文献

Proton exchange membrane (PEM) fuel cells produce a large amount of waste heat while generating electricity through electrochemical reactions, making them suitable for driving combined heating and power (CHP) systems. According to the hourly thermal and electric loads in a typical North China household, a 2-kW PEM fuel cell-based micro-CHP system with a lithium-ion battery energy storage system is proposed in this paper. The thermal and economic performances of the micro-CHP system with a lithium-ion battery (CHPWB) and a CHP system without a lithium-ion battery (CHPWOB) are comparatively analyzed by developing a thermal and economic performance analysis model on the MATLAB/Simulink platform. The thermal-load-following strategy is adopted during the design and simulation process. The results indicate that the storage capacity of the lithium-ion battery decreases by 6.6% after one cycle. The lithium-ion battery can be charged by the fuel cell stack during off-peak hours or using commercial electricity, and the charging cycle of the system is one week long. The average total efficiency of the CHPWB system can reach 81.24% with considering the energy loss in each conversion process, which is 11.02% higher than that of the CHPWOB system. The daily hydrogen consumption of the CHPWB system can be reduced by 14.47% compared with the CHPWOB system under the same operating conditions, and the average daily costs can be reduced by 8.4% and 9.5% when the lifespan is 10 and 15 years, respectively.  相似文献

In this article, a nondissipative equalization scheme is proposed to reduce the inconsistency of series connected lithium-ion batteries. An improved Buck-Boost equalization circuit is designed, in which the series connected batteries can form a circular energy loop, equalization speed is improved, and modularization is facilitated. This article use voltage and state of charge (SOC) together as equalization variables according to the characteristics of open-circuit voltage (OCV)-SOC curve of lithium-ion battery. The second-order RC equivalent circuit model and back propagation neural network are used to estimate the SOC of lithium-ion battery. Fuzzy logic control (FLC) is used to adjust the equalization current dynamically to reduce equalization time and improve efficiency. Simulation results show that the traditional Buck-Boost equalization circuit and the improved Buck-Boost equalization circuit are compared, and the equalization time of the latter is reduced by 34%. Compared with mean-difference algorithm, the equalization time of FLC is decreased by 49% and the energy efficiency is improved by 4.88% under static, charging and discharging conditions. In addition, the proposed equalization scheme reduces the maximum SOC deviation to 0.39%, effectively reducing the inconsistency of batteries.  相似文献

锂电池因具有比能量高、循环寿命长、对环境无污染等优点,在储能系统中已逐渐得到应用.准确估算锂电池的荷电状态(SOC)可防止电池过充、过放,保障电池安全、充分地使用.为了精确估算储能锂电池SOC,基于PNGV(partnership for a new generation of vehicles)电池等效模型,利用递推最小二乘法(RLS)对模型参数进行在线辨识和实时修正,增强了系统的适应性.结合安时法、开路电压法和PNGV模型,提出了一种实时在线修正SOC算法.根据实验数据,建立了仿真模型,以验算模型和SOC估算算法的精度.仿真结果表明,PNGV模型能真实地模拟电池特性,且能有效地提高SOC估算精度,适合长时间在线估算储能锂电池的SOC.  相似文献

Progress in battery technology accelerates the transition of battery management system (BMS) from a mere monitoring unit to a multifunction integrated one. It is necessary to establish a battery model for the implementation of BMS's effective control. With more comprehensive and faster battery model, it would be accurate and effective to reflect the behavior of the battery level to the vehicle. On this basis, to ensure battery safety, power, and durability, some key technologies based on the model are advanced, such as battery state estimation, energy equalization, thermal management, and fault diagnosis. Besides, the communication of interactions between BMS and vehicle controllers, motor controllers, etc is an essential consideration for optimizing driving and improving vehicle performance. As concluded, a synergistic and collaborative BMS is the foundation for green‐energy vehicles to be intelligent, electric, networked, and shared. Thus, this paper reviews the research and development (R&D) of multiphysics model simulation and multifunction integrated BMS technology. In addition, summary of the relevant research and state‐of‐the‐art technology is dedicated to improving the synergy and coordination of BMS and to promote the innovation and optimization of new energy vehicle technology.  相似文献

This paper presents the experimental results of an actively controlled fuel cell/battery hybrid power source topology that can be widely used in many applications, such as portable electronic devices, communication equipment, spacecraft power systems, and electric vehicles, in which the power demand is impulsive rather than constant. A step-down DC/DC power converter is incorporated to actively control the power flow between the fuel cell and the battery to achieve both high power and high energy densities. The results show that the hybrid power source can achieve much greater specific power and power density than the fuel cell alone. This paper first demonstrates that an actively controlled hybrid with a 35 W hydrogen-fueled polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell and a lithium-ion battery pack of six cells yielded a peak power of 100 W, about three times as high as the fuel cell alone can supply, while causing a very limited (10%) weight increase to the whole system. After that, another hybrid source using a different battery array (eight cells) was investigated to further validate the control strategy and to show the flexibility and generality of the hybrid source design. The experimental data show that the hybrid source using an eight-cell battery supplied a peak power of 135 W, about four times that of the fuel cell alone. Finally, three power sources including the fuel cell alone and the two hybrids studied were compared in terms of specific power, power density, volume, weight, etc. The design presented here can be scaled to larger or smaller power capacities for a variety of applications.  相似文献

Battery algorithms play a vital role in hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs), plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs), and electric vehicles (EVs). The energy management of hybrid and electric propulsion systems needs to rely on accurate information on the state of the battery in order to determine the optimal electric drive without abusing the battery.In this study, a cell-level hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) system is used to verify and develop state of charge (SOC) and power capability predictions of embedded battery algorithms for various vehicle applications. Two different batteries were selected as representative examples to illustrate the battery algorithm verification and development procedure. One is a lithium-ion battery with a conventional metal oxide cathode, which is a power battery for HEV applications. The other is a lithium-ion battery with an iron phosphate (LiFePO4) cathode, which is an energy battery for applications in PHEVs, EREVs, and EVs.The battery cell HIL testing provided valuable data and critical guidance to evaluate the accuracy of the developed battery algorithms, to accelerate battery algorithm future development and improvement, and to reduce hybrid/electric vehicle system development time and costs.  相似文献

The hybrid powerplant combining a fuel cell and a battery has become one of the most promising alternative power systems for electric unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). To enhance the fuel efficiency and battery service life, highly effective and robust online energy management strategies are needed in real applications.In this work, an energy management system is designed to control the hybrid fuel cell and battery power system for electric UAVs. To reduce the weight, only one programmable direct-current to direct-current (dcdc) converter is used as the critical power split component to implement the power management strategy. The output voltage and current of the dcdc is controlled by an independent energy management controller. An executable process of online fuzzy energy management strategy is proposed and established. According to the demand power and battery state of charge, the online fuzzy energy management strategy produces the current command for the dcdc to directly control the output current of the fuel cell and to indirectly control the charge/discharge current of the battery based on the power balance principle.Another two online strategies, the passive control strategy and the state machine strategy, are also employed to compare with the proposed online fuzzy strategy in terms of the battery management and fuel efficiency. To evaluate and compare the feasibility of the online energy management strategies in application, experiments with three types of missions are carried out using the hybrid power system test-bench, which consists of a commercial fuel cell EOS600, a Lipo battery, a programmable dcdc converter, an energy management controller, and an electric load. The experimental investigation shows that the proposed online fuzzy strategy prefers to use the most power from the battery and consumes the least amount of hydrogen fuel compared with the other two online energy management strategies.  相似文献

Traditional optimization-based energy management strategies (EMSs) do not consider the uncertainty of driving cycle induced by the change of traffic conditions, this paper proposes a robust online EMS (ROEMS) for fuel cell hybrid electric vehicles (FCHEV) to handle the uncertain driving cycles. The energy consumption model of the FCHEV is built by considering the power loss of fuel cell, battery, electric motor, and brake. An offline linear programming-based method is proposed to produce the benchmark solution. The ROEMS instantaneously minimizes the equivalent power of fuel cell and battery, where an equivalent efficiency of battery is defined as the efficiency of hydrogen energy transforming to battery energy. To control the state of charge of battery, two control coefficients are introduced to adjust the power of battery in objective function. Another penalty coefficient is used to amend the power of fuel cell, which reduces the load change of fuel cell so as to slow the degradation of fuel cell. The simulation results indicate that ROEMS has good performance in both fuel economy and load change control of fuel cell. The most important advantage of ROEMS is its robustness and adaptivity, because it almost produces the optimal solution without changing the control parameters when driving cycles are changed.  相似文献

At present, the energy supply for the electronic equipment of the soldier is problematic. Each component has its own battery pack. These battery packs are not interchangeable and each requires its own charger. Furthermore, because they are all dimensioned to deliver the peak power for each item of equipment, this leads to a higher battery weight than necessary.It is expected that the system of the future soldier will use a central power source to supply the energy for all the different components. An energy bus will be integrated within the soldier’s system for this. The different components will generate their required voltages from the bus voltage by using high efficiency dc/dc converters. The use of an energy bus with local voltage conversion will facilitate inter-operability between different forces. The energy sources can easily be exchanged.For the near future, batteries are still considered to be the best option for the energy source. Rechargeable batteries are preferred above non-rechargeable ones due to logistic and environmental problems. For the long-term replacement of batteries, the direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) is considered a viable option.Several different battery packs were tested for their capability to supply both the required energy and power during a 24 h mission. The tests were carried out with a controlled power method, as maximum power should be deliverable during 10% of the operation time.  相似文献
