To shorten the product development cycle time and reduce the cost at the same time, which is very critical for the survival
of those small and mid-sized one-of-a-kind production (SMOKP) companies, various computer communication, simulation and computer
aided engineering and management techniques have been widely used in these SMOKP companies. However, according to our study,
the applications of these advanced computer technologies in these SMOKP companies are lack of system integration and synergy,
which result in communication errors, reworks, duplications and hence a longer product development lead time and a higher
cost. To solve this problem, an inter/intranet based computer aided rapid product development system is presented in this
paper. This system consists of a number of inter/intranet based computer models or subsystems for supporting rapid development
of a one-of-a-kind product. It also employs a novel concurrent product development strategy called “prototype based incremental
product development strategy” and an integrated product data structure called “product production structure”. Some industrial
implementations of the proposed system, product development strategy and product data structure are also reported in the paper. 相似文献

In today’s global market, more and more manufacturing companies have realised that the ability to quickly develop a customised
product in an economic and efficient way is critical for them to survive in the keen competitive international market, particularly
for one-of-a-kind production (OKP) companies. A new generation of OKP systems needs to be developed to maintain competitiveness
in the global marketplace and to improve the ability to rapidly combine the strengths of manufacturing partners to meet market
needs. In this paper, the main objectives of rapid OKP development in the global manufacturing environment are discussed.
The background of recent approaches for rapid development of OKP products is reviewed. After systematically reviewing the
existing OKP systems and recent developments of new technology and systems, the authors discuss current issues and requirements
for developing a new generation of OKP systems for rapidly producing OKP products. At the end of this paper, a reference system
structure is proposed for rapid development of OKP products in the global manufacturing environment . 相似文献

介绍了多色集合和多色图理论的概念和方法 ,并应用多色图理论对产品数据管理中的产品结构和配置管理进行了研究。利用多色图的着色原理表示产品树型结构的节点属性 ,标识出配置项 ,建立了基于多色图理论的产品结构及配置模型。按照图论中树图遍历原理提出了基于该模型的产品配置算法 ,并结合实例进行了配置实现过程分析。采用多色图理论的产品配置模型可以全面地表述配置过程 ,使复杂产品的配置管理简单化。 相似文献

An integrated template of virtual product development alters primarily sequential tradition mode of product lifecycle. The template integrates all processes of product development using digital modern. An environment of virtual product development provides product development environment of integration, communion, network, concurrent and collaboration. Combining development of new rapier loom, an innovated design process is researched in virtual product development, which consists three portions: constructing an integration development environment, innovation design andmanufacturing simulation. 针对产品数据管理(PDM)系统的最新发展技术,基于PDM系统软件功能分析,研究了分布式多层体系结构、虚拟产品开发管理(VPDM)和新一代的产品开发管理系统(PDMII)技术、CORBA和Web技术、企业级PDM系统技术及Internet/Intranet技术,建立了Internet/Intranet/Extranet之上的统一的产品数据模型,提供了企业产品开发电子商务解决方案,实现了应用工具与底层数据环境的系统集成和系统的无缝连接。研究结果表明,PDM技术增强了企业对象的安全性、高效性和重复使用性,降低了企业成本且缩短了产品开发周期,企业级PDM系统技术具有更高级的过程管理、更大范围的数据共享和更复杂的产品配置管理功能,采用CORBA和web技术有利于PDM系统的集成和扩展。 相似文献

新产品开发系统建模是应用并行工程的基础 ,模型的目的是建立一个环境 ,从而有利于产品开发信息在企业不同部门之间的流动和共享。然而 ,除了信息共享的障碍以外 ,系统如何适应活动和组织的变化 ,也是成功实现开发系统集成和应用并行工程的重要问题。文中将新产品开发系统分为产品层、活动层和组织层 3个层次。通过对各层建模方法及它们之间相互关系的分析 ,提出活动模型、产品模型与产品开发组织模型的集成 ,是并行工程应用模型的关键。并且在活动模型的基础上 ,对活动模型、产品模型和组织模型集成的方法进行了研究。 相似文献

We propose object-oriented Petri nets with changeable structure (OPNs-CS) in this paper for effective modelling of production
systems with changing structures. Two mechanisms for carrying out the structural changes in OPNs-CS are defined. One is for
the modification of message passing relationships between distinct OPNs and the other is for adding of OPNs to, and the removing
of OPNs from, a model. A case study is provided to show that OPNs-CS can cope with both the uncertainties which may exist
during the model-building phase of a one-of-a-kind production (OKP) system and the structural changes of the system which

As efficient management of product information that covers the whole life cycle is critical to the enhancement of corporate
competitiveness. This paper explores the design and development of a World Wide Web (WWW) based product development information
management system for a cross-nation manufacturing corporation that is headed by a holding company in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Since product data are often managed in a distributed computing environment, common object request broker architecture (CORBA)
is employed to ensure the interoperability among distributed information objects. A STEP-based information framework is proposed
to preserve the openness of the system. This WWW-based information management system is discussed in this paper, which includes
two major components:
1. WWW-based product design and development distributed object-oriented databases and knowledge bases.
2. A WWW-based integrated system platform. Several sub-models are introduced, which include an object-oriented database structure,
a WWW-based information management system, a WWW database tool, an information access tool, the incremental process-planning
method, a cost-optimisation model and an integrated software platform for the integration of CAD, CAPP, CAM, and a WWW-based
