One way of perceptually organizing a complex visual scene is to attend selectively to information in a particular physical location. Another way of reducing the complexity in the input is to attend selectively to an individual object in the scene and to process its elements preferentially. This latter, object-based attention process was examined, and the predicted superiority for reporting features from 1 relative to 2 objects was replicated in a series of experiments. This object-based process was robust even under conditions of occlusion, although there were some boundary conditions on its operation. Finally, an account of the data is provided via simulations of the findings in a computational model. The claim is that object-based attention arises from a mechanism that groups together those features based on internal representations developed over perceptual experience and then preferentially gates these features for later, selective processing. The purpose of the present work is the implementation and validation of a model able to predict the microstructure changes and the mechanical properties in the modern high-strength dual-phase steels after the continuous annealing process line (CAPL) and galvanizing (Galv) process. Experimental continuous cooling transformation (CCT) diagrams for 13 differently alloying dual-phase steels were measured by dilatometry from the intercritical range and were used to tune the parameters of the microstructural prediction module of the model. Mechanical properties and microstructural features were measured for more than 400 dual-phase steels simulating the CAPL and Galv industrial process, and the results were used to construct the mechanical model that predicts mechanical properties from microstructural features, chemistry, and process parameters. The model was validated and proved its efficiency in reproducing the transformation kinetic and mechanical properties of dual-phase steels produced by typical industrial process. Although it is limited to the dual-phase grades and chemical compositions explored, this model will constitute a useful tool for the steel industry.  相似文献

The large body of knowledge about the relation between chemical process efficiency and mineralogical features is of only limited use. The profession ought to try to improve the methods of using information as well as adding to the knowledge. One attempt is described.Correlations between process efficiency factors and the mineralogical features of low-grade concentrates have been developed from both a theoretical analysis and experimental measurements. The ultimate recovery of a reactive phase in an inert matrix can be calculated from simple measurements of the particle size, porosity and pore size of the concentrate, and the grain size of the reactive mineral. The rate of recovery, up to 98% recovery, can be calculated from simple measurements of particle size, porosity, proportion of reactive mineral and tortuosity. Some details are given.The correlations are of potential use in process selection and preliminary design. Satisfactory predictions have been made for near-ideal systems. Improvements in the measurement of pore size and tests on more realistic materials are required. The ultimate benefit of the correlations will be determined by the magnitude and frequency of the effects of mineralogical features other than those specified above.  相似文献

探讨了循环经济的概念和属性,指出:循环经济是以“3R”为原则、以资源“闭环”利用为特征和“经济”合理为边界条件的经济。钢铁工业是我国新型工业化进程中的支柱产业,同时也应是推进循环经济的优先切入点和重要环节。根据钢铁制造流程的特点、流程演进过程和发展趋势分析表明,钢铁工业实施循环经济存在着巨大潜力,发挥钢厂的三大功能钢铁产品制造、能源转换和社会大宗废弃物处理消纳功能是钢铁企业融入循环经济社会的有效途径。最后讨论了循环经济社会中的钢厂模式。  相似文献

Oxidation of oxyhemoglobin by nitrite ions to produce methemoglobin is one of the more employed procedures to oxidize the hemoprotein. The process takes place readily after a clear induction time. This behaviour is usually explained in terms of an autocatalytic reaction mechanism. However, the generally accepted mechanism is not autocatalytic and cannot explain the main features of the process. In the present work it is proposed that the characteristics of the process require the occurrence of a fast reaction between oxyhemoglobin and nitrogen dioxide. This process acts as a branching step, leading to the observed autocatalysis.  相似文献

The blast furnace process is still the predominant method for primary iron production. However, the disadvantages inherent to the process led to the development of alternative processes such as the mini blast furnace process, smelting reduction process, and direct reduction process. Many of these alternative processes are still under development. However, direct reduction processes have reached some level of commercial applicability and are considered to be the most developed alternative ironmaking route. It is coke-less and environmentally friendlier when compared to the blast furnace process. In addition, direct reduced iron has a well-defined chemical composition when compared with steel scrap and has efficient melting properties in the electric arc furnace. Consequently, there is a great increase in the demand for direct reduced iron in electric arc steel making. These attractive features have led to an increase in worldwide production of direct reduced iron, which is currently approaching 50 million tons. Thus, direct reduced iron is gaining more importance. Hence, this article summarizes the basic properties and features of direct reduced iron.  相似文献

This article examines features of a new process for forming the metallic cold charge in the working volume of a 360-ton oxygen converter. The new process, using new composite materials of the Sintikom® type, is contrasted with the standard process employing charge materials of the traditional composition. Abstract

The electroslag remelting (ESR) process has been used effectively to produce large ingots of high quality based on the controlled solidification and chemical refining that can be achieved. Despite the widespread application of industrial facilities, there are still issues that prevent an effective control of the process. This is particularly critical considering the large ingots produced industrially which makes the traditional trial and error approach prohibitively expensive. Thus, mathematical models of the process are a good alternative as a process control tool. To predict the relationship between operating parameters such as power input and type, fill ratio, depth of electrode immersion, and slag chemistry and the casting rate, microstructural features, and ingot chemical composition, it is then necessary to develop mathematical models based on differential equations describing the fluid flow, heat transfer, and mass transfer phenomena that take place during the process. In the present paper, mathematical models of the transport phenomena occurring during ESR are reviewed. Although the models have evolved to a point where several features of the process can be predicted and the dominant transport mechanisms have been elucidated, more effort is required before the models can be applied to define actual operating conditions.  相似文献

The process by which stimuli are assigned to categories has been traditionally conceptualized as bottom-up. Accordingly, stimulus features are supposed to be the fundamental units of analysis, and categorization to be accomplished on the basis of feature category correlations (cue validities). Alternatively, top-down processes are invoked, in which case one begins with a given categorization rule and then assigns stimuli to categories on that basis. Bottom-up and top-down views share a fundamental weakness, namely, they are unable to specify how features or rules, respectively, are acquired. This difficulty can be overcome if it is assumed that the process starts with neither features nor rules, but with stimuli. Then, as a result of experience with stimuli belonging to different categories, the cognitive system discovers and uses locally constructed features that maximally discriminate between the categories at hand. According to this view, the relationship between a target and a contrast category is the main factor affecting what subjects learn about each. Two experiments were conducted to explore this hypothesis. Both experiments support the notion that the relationship between the target and contrast category significantly determines which critical features are extracted as being defining of either category.
