In long term evolution (LTE) uplink single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) system, the restriction that multiple resource blocks (RBs) allocated to a user should be adjacent, makes the resource allocation problem hard to solve. Moreover, with the practical constraint that perfect channel state information (CSI) cannot be obtained in time-varying channel, the resource allocation problem will become more difficult. In this paper, an efficient resource allocation algorithm is proposed in LTE uplink SC-FDMA system with imperfect CSI assumption. Firstly, the resource allocation problem is formulated as a mixed integer programming problem. Then an efficient algorithm based on discrete stochastic optimization is proposed to solve the problem. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed algorithm has desirable system performance.  相似文献

In this paper, the impact of imperfect channel state information (CSI) on a downlink coordinated multipoint (CoMP) transmission system with non‐orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) is investigated since perfect knowledge of a channel cannot be guaranteed in practice. Furthermore, the channel estimation error is applied to estimate the channel information wherein its a priori of variance is assumed to be known. The impact of the number of coordinated base stations (BSs) on downlink CoMP NOMA is investigated. Users are classified into one of two groups according to their position within the cell, namely, cell‐center user (CCU) and cell‐edge user (CEU). In this paper, ergodic capacity and sum capacity for both CCU and CEU are derived as closed forms. In addition, various experiments are conducted with different parameters such as SNR, error variance, and power allocation to show their impact on the CoMP method. The results show that CoMP NOMA outperforms the CoMP orthogonal multiple access (OMA) wherein the condition of the channel impacts the performance of CoMP NOMA less. It is worth noting that a higher number of coordinated BSs enhances the total capacity of CoMP NOMA. Finally, the performance analysis is validated due to the close accordance between the analytical and simulation results.  相似文献

This paper investigates the performance of novel multicarrier index keying-aided non-orthogonal multiple access (MCIK-NOMA) system. Unlike the classical scheme, the proposed system sends the information through both index domain and constellation domain symbols thereby increases the spectral efficiency. The impact of channel state information (CSI) uncertainty on the system's performance is investigated. More specifically, the performance of MCIK-NOMA under three different CSI conditions is analyzed: perfect CSI, MMSE-based variable CSI, and fixed CSI uncertainty. This paper also discusses the optimum power difference needed for the successful separation of symbols at the SIC receiver by alternating the power ratio in the proposed system. The influence of selecting different active subcarriers and modulation techniques on the system's performance is studied in detail. The simulation results show that the proposed system achieves better BER and spectral efficiency and outperforms the existing systems.  相似文献

The simultaneous wireless information and power transfer or energy harvesting (EH) can be combined in nonorthogonal multiple access (NOMA) as green applications towards 5G. This paper investigates a new cooperative EH‐NOMA protocol, where the intermediate relay has not equipped the fixed power source and acts as a wireless powered relay to help signal transmission to representative weak user and strong user in NOMA. However, impacts of imperfect channel estimation contribute to outage system performance evaluations. We formulate the power resource assignment paradigms as two schemes, namely, fixed power allocation and dynamic power allocation, by considering imperfect channel state information (CSI). To solve this problem, we derive the closed‐form expressions of outage probability under imperfect CSI and the power allocation constraints. The expected numerical results related to the derived expressions for the outage probability are examined that numerical and the Monte Carlo simulations are strictly matching lines.  相似文献

研究基于完备信道和队列状态的最优功率分配策略。通过联合物理层和网络层的模型,建立了系统的跨层模型,进而在此基础上建立了功率分配的跨层优化问题。给出跨层最优功率分配问题的解析最优解和相应的算法,即“地窖注水”算法。说明传统的“注水策略”仅仅是所提出的地窖注水算法在不考虑队列长度下的一个特例。仿真将验证所提出策略相对于传统功率分配策略的性能优势。在同样的数据包到达率下,所提出的功率分配策略可以达到更小的排队时延。  相似文献

连续相位调制(CPM)由于其相位连续和恒包络,可以使用低成本的非线性功率放大器,且CPM信号有近于1的峰均功率比,在放大器处产生的能量消耗小,从而解决协同系统中移动终端的成本和能量受限问题。本文针对平坦衰落信道下的CPM协同通信系统,研究了可表征系统容量下界的对称信息率(SIR)。分析和数值结果表明,协同CPM系统与单入单出CPM系统相比,能获得更大的信道容量,同时还拥有更低的中断概率。进一步地,以最大化系统遍历容量为目标,在考虑路径损耗的条件下,对系统的最优中继位置问题进行了讨论。分析和数值结果表明,对比中继位置在对称中点的系统,最优中继位置系统的信道容量获得明显提升。进一步,研究了信道估计误差和SNR估计误差对CPM协同通信系统的容量的影响。  相似文献

Spatial modulation (SM) is a simple and spectral efficient modulation technique that has received much interest recently. In this paper, an adaptive SM (ASM) scheme is presented by combining adaptive modulation with conventional SM. The performance of ASM is analyzed in spatially correlated Rayleigh fading channels. In order to reduce the computational complexity of average bit error rate (BER), an approximate expression of error probability of the antenna index estimation, which contributes one of two components of the average BER, is derived by using the fitting method and matches well with simulation results in the SNR range of interest. With the above results, the closed-form spectrum efficiency (SE) and overall average BER are obtained, respectively. Besides, the optimized switching thresholds for maximizing SE under an average BER constraint are achieved by means of the Karush Kuhn Tucker conditions, and the resultant SE performance can be improved greatly when compared to the ASM system with fixed thresholds. Simulations indicate that the theoretical SE and BER are effective and agree well with the corresponding simulations. Moreover, the SE and BER performance of ASM under spatially correlated channel are poorer than those under spatially independent channel because of the influence of spatial correlation.  相似文献

Two‐path or successive relaying, which aims to establish two relay links transmitting different information symbols in adjacent time slots, has recently emerged as an attractive wireless communication protocol to improve the spectral efficiency in half‐duplex cooperative systems. In this paper, we investigate power allocation and relay selection techniques for amplify‐and‐forward two‐path successive relaying networks. Our approach is based on the maximization of the received SNR subject to a total power budget consumed by the source and the relay assisting this specific transmission. Two scenarios including with and without direct link are considered here. We show that the main problem has a closed‐form solution and only requires a few amounts of feedback bits to be broadcasted. Numerical results reveal that the proposed approaches are more insensitive to the inter‐relay interference and robust to channel estimation errors; meanwhile, they perform better than the existing schemes. In this paper, we study the average symbol error rate (SER) for a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) maximal ratio combining (MRC) system with Rayleigh fading desired signal in the presence of non‐Rayleigh fading co‐channel interferers (CCIs) and additive white Gaussian noise (AWGN). To simulate the actual environments of wireless transmission, we assume that the transceiver only obtains imperfect channel estimation (ICE). For the cases of Nakagami and Rician fading CCIs, analytic expressions for the SER have been derived approximately by introducing the modified signal‐to‐interference and noise power ratio (SINR) that can be obtained by averaging the CCI term in the original SINR over the distribution of ICE of intended user. These formulas can provide important reference of design of MIMO diversity systems. Numerical simulations verify the effectiveness of these formulas. The Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) based on Spatial Modulation (SM-MIMO-NOMA) system has been proposed to achieve better spectral efficiency with reduced radio frequency chains comparing to the traditional MIMO-NOMA system. To improve the performance of SM-MIMO-NOMA systems, we extend them to generalized spatial modulation scenarios while maintaining moderate complexity and fairness. In this paper, system spectral efficiency and transmission quality improvements are proposed by investigating a sum-rate maximization resource allocation problem that is subject to the total transmitted power, user grouping, and resource block constraints. To solve this non-convex and difficult problem, a graph-based user grouping strategy is proposed initially to maximize the mutual gains of intragroup users. An auxiliary-variable approach is then adopted to transform the power allocation subproblem into a convex one. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has better performance in terms of bit error rate and sum rates.  相似文献

In this paper, the performance of an underlay cognitive radio system with random mobility and imperfect channel state information (CSI) is investigated. The mobile user (MU) utilises maximum ratio combining (MRC) and selection combining (SC) diversity techniques as signal reception to improve the quality of received signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR). Under the Rayleigh fading, random waypoint mobility model is employed to characterised the effect of the MU random mobility on the system performance. Thus, novel probability density function (PDF) and cumulative distribution function (CDF) for the two considered diversity techniques are derived. Through these, the outage probability and average bit error rate (ABER) closed‐form analytical expressions are then obtained to quantify the system performance under the MRC and SC schemes. The results illustrate the effect of imperfect CSI, user mobility which is characterised by pathloss and the network topology on the system performance. Also, the results depict that MRC offers the system better performance compared with SC under the same system conditions. The accuracy of the derived analytical expressions is verified through Monte‐Carlo simulations.  相似文献

The presented scheme named M-CAP (Maximum CAPacity) uses the CSI (Channel State Information) and its statistics to deduce an equivalent channel according to which the transmit power is allocated to the subchannels. And then modulation scheme is determined adaptively according to the power allocated to each subchannel. The advantage of the M-CAP scheme is that it combines power allocation and adaptive modulation while maintaining a large capacity. We demonstrate by computer simulations that the proposed M-CAP scheme can significantly improve system performance compared with the traditional schemes.  相似文献

Motivated by the fact that wireless channel uncertainty always exists and influences the distributed estimation system, this paper proposes power allocation schemes for linear minimum mean square error estimation. We consider training‐based vector systems and investigate how the power allocation ratio between training and transmitting is influenced by the system information, assuming that the sum of training and data transmitting power is fixed. We propose to use the average mean square error as the distortion measure so as to fulfill the statistical characteristics of channel estimation. We derive the closed‐form solutions to the optimal power allocation ratio, which is the function of system parameters, such as the vector signal's size, channel covariance, and noise covariance. Monte Carlo simulations are carried out to verify the performance of the proposed methods. Simulation results show that (i) in vector estimation system, the power allocation set to be 0.5 is usually not optimal; (ii) compared with training based, the equal power allocation system, the newly proposed methods could significantly improve the estimation performance. This article investigates transmitter design in Rayleigh fading multiple input multiple output (MIMO) channels with spatial correlation when there are channel uncertainties caused by a combined effect of channel estimation error and limited feedback. To overcome the high computational complexity of the optimal transmit power allocation, a simple and suboptimal allocation is proposed by exploiting the transmission constraint and differentiating a bound based on Jensen inequality on the channel capacity. The simulation results show that the mutual information corresponding to the proposed power allocation closely approaches the channel capacity corresponding to the optimal one and meanwhile the computational complexity is greatly reduced.  相似文献

The next‐generation packet‐based wireless cellular network will provide real‐time services for delay‐sensitive applications. To make the next‐generation cellular network successful, it is critical that the network utilizes the resource efficiently while satisfying quality of service (QoS) requirements of real‐time users. In this paper, we consider the problem of power control and dynamic channel allocation for the downlink of a multi‐channel, multi‐user wireless cellular network. We assume that the transmitter (the base‐station) has the perfect knowledge of the channel gain. At each transmission slot, a scheduler allots the transmission power and channel access for all the users based on the instantaneous channel gains and QoS requirements of users. We propose three schemes for power control and dynamic channel allocation, which utilize multi‐user diversity and frequency diversity. Our results show that compared to the benchmark scheme, which does not utilize multi‐user diversity and power control, our proposed schemes substantially reduce the resource usage while explicitly guaranteeing the users' QoS requirements.  本文研究在解码转发协作分集中的功率分配问题.本文首先建立了功率分配问题的数学模型,其能够在满足一定平均误比特率的前提下,使源节点和伙伴节点的发射功率之和最小化,从而不仅能够开发多用户无线系统所固有的空间分集能力,而且能够降低移动节点的能耗和网络中的同道干扰.本文还推导了伙伴节点和目的节点的平均误比特率公式,用于刻画在多径衰落中协作分集系统的性能.利用平均误比特率公式,本文提出了一种分布式的功率分配算法,能够使源节点、伙伴节点和目的节点逐个消息地计算最优的功率分配方案.本文所提出的算法不仅具有较小的控制协议开销,而且对信道状态的变化具有自适应能力.因此,该算法能够适应分布式的和动态的无线网络环境.最后,本文通过仿真验证了所提出的算法.  相似文献

This paper focuses on the layered relay‐and‐antenna selection (LRAS) for achievable sum‐rate (ASR) maximization while considering the impacts of residual self‐interference due to channel estimation errors in multiple‐input multiple‐output two‐way amplify‐and‐forward relaying systems. Two LRAS algorithms, namely, the Gram–Schmidt and the adaptive discrete stochastic approximation selection techniques, are investigated based on the ASR maximization under an equal power allocation. To alleviate the complexity burden of the LRAS strategies, the optimal relay and the subset of transmit‐and‐receive antenna pairs are determined by a two‐stage selection mechanism. By taking two LRAS strategies and correlated channel uncertainties into account, the development of a two‐way multiple‐input multiple‐output multi‐amplify‐and‐forward‐relay system is able to provide improved robustness against the channel state information mismatch and the residual self‐interference. We deal with power allocation (PA) and call admission control (CAC) under imperfect power control (IPC) in the reverse link of direct sequence‐code division multiple access systems for supporting multi‐class traffic. First, we briefly review the optimum PA scheme under perfect power control (PPC) and the CAC scheme subject to an outage constraint on the total composite received power. Then, we analyze the outage degradation due to the power control error when the optimum reference power levels under PPC are used. In order to mitigate the outage degradation, we would modify the reference power levels by incorporating a call dropping strategy and an outage‐lowering strategy into the optimum PA scheme under PPC. Also, we derive a constraint inequality to determine the reverse link capacity under IPC. The performance of wireless communication systems is improved over flat fading channel by using Alamouti coding scheme, which provides the quality of diversity gain. In this paper, performance analysis of symbol error rate (SER) and particle swarm optimization (PSO)–based power allocation (PA) for Alamouti amplify and forward (AF) relaying protocol using maximum ratio combining (MRC) technique is presented. Analytical expression of SER upper bound and SER approximation is derived for Alamouti AF relaying protocol with quadrature phase shift keying (QPSK) modulation over Rayleigh fading channel and Rician fading channel. In addition, PSO‐based optimum PA factor is calculated on the basis of the minimum SER of proposed method. PSO‐based optimum PA gives 0.5 dB of improved signal‐to‐noise ratio (SNR) compared with the equal power allocation (EPA). The theoretical approximate SER result is compared with the simulated SER. The proposed protocol provides full diversity gain and reduces SER compared with the existing AF and decode and forward (DF) relaying protocols over Rayleigh fading channel and Rician fading channel.  相似文献
