This paper describes a new electronically tunable three inputs and single output voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter based on simple CMOS operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs) and grounded capacitors. The proposed configuration provides lowpass, highpass, bandpass, bandstop and allpass voltage responses at a high impedance input terminal, which enable easy cascadability. Additionally, the circuit parameters ωoωo and Q   can be set orthogonally by adjusting the transconductances and grounded capacitors. The filter also offers an independent electronic control of parameters ωoωo by adjusting the transconductance through the bias current/voltage of the OTA. For realizing all the filter responses, no critical component matching condition is required, and all the incremental parameter sensitivities are low. PSPICE simulation results are performed to confirm the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

In this article, a new voltage-mode second-order universal frequency filter and sinusoidal oscillator using only single differential-input buffered and transconductance amplifier (DBTA) is presented. The proposed voltage-mode filter structure using single DBTA and four passive elements can provide all standard filter functions, i.e. low-, band-, high-pass, band-stop, and all-pass without changing the circuit topology and enables independent control of the quality factor Q using single passive element. The circuit requires the minimal number of active and passive elements with no conditions for component matching. By slight modification of the proposed filter structure, the new DBTA-based sinusoidal oscillator is easily obtained. The oscillation condition and the oscillation frequency are independently adjustable by different virtually grounded passive elements. The proposed sinusoidal oscillator employs only grounded capacitors. The passive and active sensitivities of all the proposed circuit configurations are low. PSPICE simulations using a BJT realisation of DBTA and experimental results based on commercially available amplifiers OPA860 and MAX436 are included, which prove the workability of the proposed circuits.  相似文献

A novel electronically tunable versatile voltage-mode universal biquad filter by using two single-output-operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs), one differential difference current conveyor (DDCC) and two capacitors is proposed. The proposed circuit, which can be used as either a four-input single-output universal filter or a single-input three-output multifunction filter with the same topology. Besides, the new circuit offers the following advantageous features: realization of all the non-inverting and inverting biquadratic filter signals from the same configuration, no need to employ inverting-type input signals, no need to component-matching conditions and low passive sensitivity performance.  相似文献

A new circuit configuration for the realisation of an electronically tunable sinusoidal oscillator is presented. The proposed circuit uses only one current backward transconductance amplifier (CBTA), two grounded capacitors and one resistor. Using current controlled CBTA (CC-CBTA) instead of the CBTA, the resistor can be completely removed. It has also current-mode (CM) and voltage-mode (VM) outputs, simultaneously. The workability of the proposed structure has been demonstrated by both simulation and experimental results.  相似文献

This paper presents a current-mode biquadratic filter based on ZC-CFTAs. It employs only three ZC-CFTAs, one resistor and two grounded capacitors. It can simultaneously realize not only highpass and lowpass filtering functions but also two different forms of bandpass ones; one has a pass-band gain of Q, the other, a pass-band gain of unity. Its ωo and Q can be tuned orthogonally through adjusting bias currents of ZC-CFTAs. Moreover, the proposed circuit can also be modified to be a current controlled four-phase quadrature oscillator with small distortion. Non-ideal analysis and sensitivity analysis are provided. The results of circuit simulations are in agreement with theory.  相似文献

A fourth-order Gm-C Chebyshev low-pass filter is presented as channel selection filter for reconfigurable multi-mode wireless receivers. Low-noise technologies are proposed in optimizing the noise characteristics of both the Gm cells and the filter topology. A frequency tuning strategy is used by tuning both the transconductance of the Gm cells and the capacitance of the capacitor banks. To achieve accurate cut-off frequencies, an on-chip calibration circuit is presented to compensate for the frequency inaccuracy introduced by process variation. The filter is fabricated in a 0.13 μm CMOS process. It exhibits a wide programmable bandwidth from 322.5 kHz to 20 MHz. Measured results show that the filter has low input referred noise of 5.9 nV/√Hz and high out-of-band ⅡP3 of 16.2 dBm. It consumes 4.2 and 9.5 mW from a 1 V power supply at its lowest and highest cut-off frequencies respectively.  相似文献

提出了一种基于电流反馈放大器(CFA)的n阶电压模式多环反馈(multiple-loop feedback,简称MF)低通滤波器的系统设计方法,推导了系统的设计公式,利用该方法可导出n阶不同结构的低通滤波器,所产生的滤波器由n个CFA、n个电容、n个电阻构成。以三阶Butterworth低通滤波器为例阐述了设计过程,并用pspice进行仿真分析,设计和仿真结果表明,系统设计理论是正确的,设计方法是可行的。  相似文献

In this study, a new electronically tunable current-mode universal filter with two inputs and two outputs employing one translinear current conveyor, one translinear current conveyor with controlled current gain and two grounded capacitors is presented. The proposed circuit offers the following attractive features: realisation of low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, band-stop and all-pass current responses from the same configuration; employment of the minimum active and passive components; no requirement of component matching conditions; independent current-control of the parameters natural frequency (ωo) and quality factor (Q); low active and passive sensitivities; and high impedance output. The characteristics of the proposed circuit are simulated using PSPICE to confirm the theory.  相似文献

A novel current mode MOSFET-only structure with multi-input single-output (MISO) is proposed. The proposed circuit is free from passive circuit elements like resistors and capacitors and able to realize low-pass (LP), band-pass (BP), high-pass (HP), band-stop (BS) and all-pass (AP) filter functions with using the same circuit configuration. It is also important to note that the proposed filter has electronic tunability property. The proposed circuit is laid-out in the Cadence environment using 0.18 µm TSMC CMOS technology parameters. The layout area is only 408 μm2 and the power consumption is about 0.6 mW. Furthermore, to investigate the performance of the BP filter output of the proposed MISO filter, Monte Carlo and corner analyses are also presented. It is shown that the mismatches and the process variations cause only small deviations for the BP filter configuration. Furthermore, the noise performance of the proposed filter is also investigated.  相似文献

A three-input and single-output voltage-mode universal biquadratic filter with high input impedance, using only two operational transconductance amplifiers (OTAs), one plus-type second-generation current conveyor (CCII) and two capacitors, is presented. The proposed circuit can realize all the standard filter responses, that is, highpass, bandpass, lowpass, notch and allpass filters, from the same configuration. An electronically tunable universal voltage-mode biquadratic filter with single input and four outputs using one differential difference current conveyor transconductance amplifier (DDCCTA), two resistors and two grounded capacitors is proposed. All the five standard biquadratic filter functions; lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP), can be obtained from the circuit configuration. The LP, BP and HP are simultaneously available without component matching condition. By imposing component choice, the BS and AP responses can also be realized from the same circuit configuration. In addition, the proposed circuit provides an electronic control of its natural angular frequency (ω0) and quality factor (Q) by adjusting the bias current of the DDCCTA. A new circuit for realisation of the mutually coupled circuit, which is also called the synthetic transformer, is proposed. The proposed circuit uses two current controlled current conveyor transconductance amplifiers (CC-CCTAs), one grounded resistor and two grounded capacitors. The primary self-inductance, the secondary self-inductance and the mutual inductance can be independently controlled and can be tuned electronically by changing the biasing current of the CC-CCTAs. It uses two grounded capacitors which are suitable from the point of integrated circuit implementation. It has a good sensitivity performance with respect to tracking errors and passive components. The validity of the proposed circuit is demonstrated by PSpice simulations.  相似文献

A new multifunction voltage-mode biquad filter topology having three inputs and one output is described. The filter consists of a single operational amplifier (OA), a single capacitor, and two resistors and supports LP, BP, HP, AP and Notch filtering signals from the same topology, without requiring additional components besides being devoid of component matching constraints. The filter uses OA pole and has thereby acquired suitability for extended frequency operation. The natural angular frequency ω0 and the Q can be separately tuned. A novel first-order allpass filter, operating in voltage-mode, is introduced in this article. Compared with the corresponding already proposed structures, attractive offered benefits are the capability for simultaneous offering a minimum number of active and passive components, and the absence of any realisability restriction. These have been achieved by employing a multiple-input operational transconductance amplifier as active element. The performance of the proposed circuits has been evaluated through simulation results, utilising the Analog Design Environment of Cadence software.  相似文献

This paper presents a low voltage low power operational transconductance amplifier circuit. By using a source degeneration technique, the proposed realization powered at ±0.9 V shows a high DC gain of 63 dB with a unity gain frequency at 3.5 MHz, a wide dynamic range and a total harmonic distortion of −60 dB at 1 MHz for an input of 1 Vpp. According to the connection of negative current terminal to positive voltage terminal of double output OTA circuit, a second generation current conveyor (CCII-) has been realized. This circuit offers a good linearity over the dynamic range, an excellent accuracy and wide current mode of 56 MHz and voltage mode of 16.78 MHz cut-off frequency f-3 dB.Thereafter, new SIMO current-mode biquadratic filter composed by OTA and CCII as active elements and two grounded capacitors is implemented. This filter is characterized by (i) independent adjusting of pole frequency and quality factor, (ii) it can realize all simulations results without changing the circuit topology, (iii) it shows low power consumption about 0.24 mW. All simulations are performed by Cadence (Cadence Design Systems) technology Tower Jazz 0.18 μm TS18SL.  相似文献

提出了一个多输出电流差分跨导放大器(MO-CCCDTA),利用它设计了一个电流模式二阶带通、二阶高通带阻和二阶低通带阻电路,以此为基础,利用级联法设计了电流模式六阶椭圆带通滤波器.该滤波器仅使用3个MO-CCCDTA、1个CDTA和7个电容,通过调节偏置电流,各滤波器参数均能被电控调谐.计算机仿真表明电路正确有效.  相似文献
