This paper presents an overview of the development of aeronautical satellite communi-cations over the past 30 years. The initial development of aeronautical satellite communications is de-scribed in the paper. The civil aviation growth and current unaccommodated communication systemsare discussed as well. The inherent shortcomings of present air-ground HF communications have hin-dered the development of civil aviation. but according to the Future Air Navigation Systems(FANS) concept aeronautical satellite communication-including Automatic Dependent Surveillance(ADS)-will be the key to eliminating the shortcomings of HF communication systems. This paper presents an optimal control approach for the general robust control design problem of linear time delay systems, which considers parameter uncertainties as well as state delay. It is shown that the robust control problem can be transformed into an optimal control problem with the amouof plant uncertainties involved in the performance index. A stability criterion has been developed under which the uncertain dynamical system can not only achieve stability, but also acquire the guaranteed level of performance for regulation. A suitable linear state feedback control law is also characterized via Lyapunov stability theory to ensure performance robustness of the closed‐loop system. In this paper, a robust adaptive controller for a underactuated ship is proposed to make the ship follow a predefined path with guaranteed transient performance and arbitrarily small steady-state position error and orientation error, despite the presence of environmental disturbances induced by wave, wind and ocean current and unknown system parameters. We design a new adaptive state feedback controller and parameter estimators to guarantee converging exponentially by assuming all states are available. It is shown that the mean-square tracking errors are of order of an arbitrarily small design parameter, and the position error and the orientation error also decrease at a pre-specified exponential rate. Simulations with a commercial monohull ship using Matlab also demonstrate the effectiveness of the controllers. 相似文献

This paper outlines an investigation of the impact of aircraft proximity and relationship data on the subjective mental workload of air traffic controllers. Aircraft relationships were categorized into one of 81 different categories, and these relationships were then used to predict subjective mental workload values (as reported by the participants). The results indicated that this methodology could predict subjective mental workload to an accuracy of 73%, with post-hoc analysis improving this prediction rate to 93%. These results are discussed with respect to their contribution to an understanding of the drivers of mental workload in Air Traffic Control. 相似文献
