为了表征光束倾斜入射下液晶偏振光栅的衍射特性,提出了液晶偏振光栅斜入射角度-驱动电压-衍射效率的三维模型建模方法。该方法利用吉布斯自由能方程,求解液晶分子指向矢,得到驱动电压与液晶分子倾斜角的表达式,推导出斜入射角度与相位延迟量之间的关系,结合扩展琼斯矩阵表征不同入射角度下液晶偏振光栅的透过率,通过矢量衍射理论,建立了斜入射角度-驱动电压-衍射效率的三维模型。该模型不仅可以定量求解不同斜入射角度下液晶偏振光栅衍射效率,而且能够实现衍射效率最优时驱动电压的标定。通过仿真分析和实验对该模型的有效性进行了验证,结果表明:光束入射角度从0°倾斜到10°时,最优驱动电压由2.2 V降低到2.0 V,液晶偏振光栅衍射效率从85%下降到78%;光束入射角度从0°倾斜到?10°时,最优驱动电压由2.2 V升高到2.4 V,液晶偏振光栅衍射效率从85%下降到74%。 相似文献

建立了液晶光栅与等效矩形光栅之间的理论模型,且计算了零级衍射效率和槽深h的理论数据。将实验数据与理论模型进行比较,得到了考虑电场边缘效应时的修正系数α和槽深h的修正计算公式,通过修正公式得出了槽深h和占空比修正值Δρ的图形,最后分析了电场边缘效应对液晶光栅衍射特性的影响。当电控液晶光栅ρ=0.5:光线正入射时进行实验测试,发现由于电场边缘效应,液晶光栅偶级衍射出现,并分析了随着电压的变化,边缘效应对液晶光栅衍射效率、相位差、占空比修正值Δρ及槽深h变化的影响。 相似文献

液晶/聚合物光栅,即全息聚合物分散液晶光栅(Holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal,HPDLC)是一种新型光电子信息功能器件。采用紫外光固化丙烯酸脂和向列相液晶TEB30A制备了透射HPDLC型光栅,探讨了单体平均官能度对液晶/聚合物光栅的影响。实验将官能度分别为2.0和5.0的两种单体混合。使平均官能度在2.0~5.0变化,制备出系列HPDLC透射型光栅,通过观察光栅形貌、测量光栅的衍射效率及驱动电压,分析了相分离过程中的光聚合速度和液晶扩散速度的匹配问题。 相似文献

报道了液晶分子不同取向对液晶/聚合物光栅电光特性以及激光出射的影响。通过扫描电子显微镜观察液晶/聚合物光栅的截面,成功观察到了光栅的体光栅结构。液晶分子垂直光栅矢量排列时,由于光栅形貌变差,衍射效率由液晶分子沿光栅矢量排列时的83.2%降低至72%,同时散射损耗由11.8%增加至19.1%。液晶分子垂直光栅矢量时,液晶/聚合物光栅的调谐电场由液晶分子沿光栅矢量时的13.6V/μm下降至3.1V/μm。液晶沿光栅矢量排列时,激光出射阈值更低,为利于激光出射的方向。本文工作为进一步加深对液晶/聚合物光栅以及染料掺杂分布式反馈选频的理解和认识,提供了指导和借鉴。 相似文献

Distributed feedback polymer laser with a grating in the waveguide cladding layer was prepared by holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystals (HPDLCs). The holographic polymerization technique enables one-step formation of an organic grating on top of a homogenous semiconducting polymer poly(2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethyl-hexyloxy)-p-phenylenevinylene) (MEH-PPV) layer. Under optical pumping, a lasing threshold of 21 μJ/cm2 and a bandwidth of 0.7 nm were obtained in a single longitudinal mode operation. Further studies on the effect of the semiconducting polymer thickness show the amount of evanescent wave spread into the grating layer determines the laser performance of the proposed device. 相似文献

To increase the angular bandwidth of volume holographic grating, we fabricate holographic gratings based on grating multiplexing technique by using thin films of photopolymers and polymer dispersed liquid crystals. Experimental results confirm that the liquid crystal materials increase the refractive index modulation of the grating, enabling high diffraction efficiency with wide angular response compared to pure polymer materials. We observe that the fabricated holographic grating has near 80% of diffraction efficiency and about 18° of angular bandwidth, which can be further improved by modifying the liquid crystal/polymer mixtures and the grating multiplexing technique. The grating can be used to fabricate holographic waveguide structures for emerging applications in the near-eye display systems. 相似文献

We report on the fabrication and characterization of a second-order distributed feedback (DFB) polymer laser based on a holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal (HPDLC) transmission grating. The fine organic grating is fabricated on top of the homogeneous conjugated polymer layer in a one-step process. The device shows surface-emitting, single mode laser emission with a threshold of 13.3 μJ/cm2, and the working characteristics merely degrade after 10 months of storage in ambient atmosphere. We further explain the dependence of threshold on pumping length, and demonstrate the small refractive index modulation of this all-organic grating is sufficient to maintain efficient DFB laser action. This simple working structure, combined with large processing area provided by the holographic polymerization technique, is extremely promising in realizing ultra-low cost plastic lasers. 相似文献

介绍了聚合物分散液晶(PDLC)材料及体全息光栅的特性,提出了基于全息聚合物液晶(H-PDLC)电控光栅多极串联式动态增益均衡器的设计。根据光栅的衍射特性计算公式,对全息聚合物液晶光栅在中心波长为1550 nm的波长选择特性进行模拟,并且进一步利用遗传算法模拟实现全息聚合物液晶动态光强增益均衡器的功能。计算模拟表明,选择合适的全息聚合物液晶光栅参量,能够使光栅在1550 nm为中心波长的衍射谱线半宽度达到10 nm。同时,采用基于全息聚合物液晶的动态光强增益均衡器,能够使掺饵光纤放大器在1530~1560 nm内,其自发辐射谱的不平坦度从3.3 dB降到0.1 dBp-p(峰-峰值)。 相似文献

为了改善现有聚合物分散液晶(PDLC)光子晶体(PC)的制备方法和电光特性,利用532nm激光干涉条纹引发聚合物和液晶的混合物相分离,采用全息两次不等时曝光的方法,即第1次曝光完成后,将样品沿基板中心法线旋转60°进行第2次曝光,制备得到电可调谐的二维三角格子的PDLC-PC。实验结果表明,两次曝光的时间对聚合物和液晶的相分离程度影响很大,用偏光显微镜观察优化条件下制备得的二维PDLC-PC发现,聚合物和液晶在二维空间上呈规则的三角格子周期性分布。用波长为633nm的He-Ne激光器探测得到在未施加电压时不同晶格常数的PDLC-PC的衍射图样,并根据一级衍射的电光变化曲线,可以看到,其衍射效率可以利用电场进行有效的调节。 相似文献

In this paper, we demonstrate the electrical control of the distributed feedback (DFB) organic semiconductor laser based on a holographic polymer dispersed liquid crystal (HPDLC) grating for the first time. The grating is fabricated on the top of the organic semiconductor film to act as an external feedback structure. Experimental results show that the lasing intensity can be decreased by increasing the external electric field, and the lasing wavelength exhibits a slight blue-shift of 1.4 nm during the modulation process, indicating a good stability. The modulated performances are attributed to the decreases in the refractive index modulation and average refractive index of the HPDLC grating respectively as a result of the field-induced liquid crystal reorientation. This study provides some new ideas for the improvement of DFB organic semiconductor laser to enable envisioned applications in laser displays and integrated photonic circuits. 相似文献
