Sr0.8Na0.4Nb2O6 with a tungsten bronze structure is introduced into perovskite-structured 0.94(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3-0.06BaTiO3 composition (abbreviated as BNT-BT-xSNN, x = 0-0.04). The temperature stability of dielectric properties and energy storage performance is found to be effectively enhanced by Sr0.8Na0.4Nb2O6 dopant. When x is 0.03, the temperature ranges covering |ε'-ε'150°C|/ε'150°C ≤15% and tanδ ≤ 0.02 are 43°C-404°C and 90°C-422°C, respectively. More importantly, ε′ can be retained as high as 3304 at 150°C. Besides, the variances of energy storage density and its efficiency are 6.4% and 5.3%, respectively, in the temperature range from room temperature (RT) to 180°C. Therefore, this work provides a new method of compositional modification in BNT-based materials to improve their temperature stability of dielectric and energy storage properties.  相似文献

Dielectric capacitors show great potential in superior energy storage devices. However, the energy density of these capacitors is still inadequate to meet the requirement of energy storage applications. In this study, the Bi0.5Na0.47Li0.03TiO3-xNaNbO3 (BNLT-xNN) ceramics were prepared via conventional solid-phase reaction. Results showed that NN can efficaciously enhance the breakdown strength (Eb) and the relaxation behavior of the BNLT ceramic because of the broken ferroelectric long-range order. When x = 0.3, the maximum Eb reached 350 kV/cm, at which the 0.7BNLT-0.3NN ceramic exhibited the high recoverable energy storage density (Wrec) of 4.83 J/cm3 and great efficiency (η) of 78.9%. The ceramic demonstrated good temperature stability at 20 °C-160 °C and excellent fatigue resistance. Additionally, the 0.7BNLT-0.3NN ceramic presented high power density (PD; ~77.58 MW/cm3), large current density (CD; ~861.99 A/cm2), and quite short discharge time (t0.9; ~0.090 μs). These results indicated that the 0.7BNLT-0.3NN material has excellent energy storage properties and various application prospects.  相似文献

The miniaturization and integration trend of electronic applications requires high energy storage performance, and the development of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCC) demands the compatibility between ceramic sintering temperature and co-firing temperature of metal electrodes. Herein, we obtained a high recoverable energy storage density and a low sintering temperature simultaneously in 0.5(Bi0.5Na0.5)TiO3-0.5SrTiO3-x mol% CuO (0.5BNT-0.5ST-x mol% CuO) via the combination of adding CuO sintering aid and citrate sol-gel synthesis method. The optimum sintering temperature decreases significantly from 1130 °C for x = 0 to 820 °C for x = 2.0. The ceramic of 0.5BNT-0.5ST-1.5 mol% CuO exhibits a large Wrec of 2.20 J/cm3 and η of 72.39% under 230 kV/cm. Furthermore, the same sample also possesses a large CD of 1740.97 A/cm2, an extremely high PD of 139.28 MW/cm3 and an ultrafast discharge speed of 82 ns. These merits reveal that the ceramic of 0.5BNT-0.5ST-1.5 mol% CuO has great potential in practical MLCC production.  相似文献

SnO2 doped Sr0.6(Na0.5Bi0.5)0.4TiO3 (NBT-ST) ceramics were prepared by a conventional solid-state reaction method. Their phase structures, microstructures and electrical properties were characterized in details. It is found that SnO2 doping could increase the lattice parameters, density and average grain size. A suitable amount of SnO2 can improve dielectric properties, and affect the relaxor behavior of the NBT-ST matrix, thereby it can effectively reduce the energy loss and optimize the energy storage performance. Furthermore, the energy storage properties are improved with SnO2 doping. Especially, the 1 at. % SnO2 doped NBT-ST achieves a high recoverable energy density of 2.35 J/cm3, which is mainly attributed to large maximum polarization of 43.2 μC/cm2, small remnant polarization of 5.83 μC/cm2 and high breakdown strength of 180 kV/cm. Also, relatively good temperature stability for dielectric performance and excellent fatigue resistance are observed in this composition. These properties are attractive for lead-free energy storage applications.  相似文献

The ceramic capacitors with excellent energy storage properties and wide operating temperature are the main challenges in power system applications. Here, the lead-free (1-x)Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-xCaTiO3 (abbreviated as BNT-xCT) ceramics were synthesized through solid-state reaction method. The introduction of CT reduced the temperature of permittivity peak of BNT ceramic, guaranteeing excellent thermal stability over a wide temperature range of −100 ∼ 136°C. Meanwhile, the long-range order structure of BNT was destructed by structural distortion, and the relaxor behavior was enhanced after doping CT. Moreover, the direct current breakdown strength was improved from 203 to 455 kV/cm, and the high recoverable energy density (Wrec ∼ 2.74 J/cm3) with high efficiency (η ∼ 91%) was achieved for BNT-0.25CT ceramic, along with a fast discharge speed (t0.9 ∼ 110 ns) superior cycle stability and thermal stability. Those properties enabled a promising practical prospect of BNT-CT ceramics.  相似文献

High-performance lead-free dielectric containers have excellent energy storage performance such as higher power density and energy density. While being eco-friendly materials, lead-free dielectric materials are more suitable for pulse power systems than other dielectric materials. In this study, Ta5+and Bi3+ ions were introduced into the A site and B site of the NaNbO3 matrix. The introduction of Bi3+ ions induced the formation of a vacancy in the A site, yielding Na(1-3x)BixNb0.85Ta0.15O3 (NBNT, x = 0.05, 0.08, 0.11, 0.14) ceramics. The recoverable energy density (Wrec) and the energy storage efficiency (η) were highest for the Na0.67Bi0.11Nb0.85Ta0.15O3 ceramic, with values of 3.37 J/cm3 and 89% respectively. Batteries employing the Na0.67Bi0.11Nb0.85Ta0.15O3 ceramic achieved a current density of 830.4 A/cm2, an energy density of 49.8 MW/cm3 and 60.2 ns discharge time. These results show that the Na0.67Bi0.11Nb0.85Ta0.15O3 ceramic is an effective energy storage material with broad application prospects.  相似文献

A series of (1-x)(0.65BaTiO3-0.35Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3)-xNa0.73Bi0.09NbO3 ((1-x)BBNT-xNBN) (x = 0–0.14) ceramics were designed and fabricated using the conventional solid-state sintering method. The microstructure, dielectric property, relaxor behavior and energy storage property were systematically investigated. X-ray diffraction results reveal a pure perovskite structure and dielectric measurements exhibit a relaxor behavior for the (1-x)BBNT-xNBN ceramics. The slim polarization electric field (P-E) loops were observed in the samples with x  0.02 and the addition of Na0.73Bi0.09NbO3 (NBN) could decrease the remnant polarization (Pr) of the (1-x)BBNT-xNBN ceramics obviously. The sample with x = 0.08 exhibits the highest energy storage density of 1.70 J/cm3 and the energy storage efficiency of 82% at 172 kV/cm owing to its submicron grain size and high relative density. These results show that the (1-x)BBNT-xNBN ceramics may be promising lead-free materials for high energy storage density capacitors.  相似文献

0.82[0.94Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3-0.06BaTiO3]-0.18K0.5Na0.5NbO3:xZnO (BNT-BT-KNN:xZnO, x?=?0-0.40) relaxor composites were prepared and their electrical properties were investigated. The breakdown electric field increases with increasing ZnO content. For x?=?0 and x?=?0.40 samples, the maximum recoverable energy storage density is 0.74?J/cm3 and 1.03?J/cm3 while the maximum energy storage efficiency is 86.7% and 72.7% under the electric field of 9.0?kV/mm and 14.0?kV/mm, respectively. The recoverable energy storage density and efficiency of the composite vary less than 2.5% from 25?°C to 125?°C, which indicates temperature-insensitive energy storage performance. These results are discussed based on the ZnO-enhanced bulk resistivity and the ZnO-induced local electric field which suppresses the evolution of polar nanoregions.  相似文献

Sr0.7Bi0.2TiO3 (SBT) was introduced into Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 (BNT) via a standard solid-state route to modulate its relaxation behaviour and energy storage performance. With increasing SBT content, the perovskite structure of BNT transforms from a rhombohedral phase to a weakly polarized pseudo-cubic phase, and the relaxation behaviour is enhanced. In particular, the EDBS is improved from 120 kV/cm of BNT to 160 kV/cm of 0.6BNT-0.4SBT, which displays a large recoverable energy storage density (Wrec = 2.20 J/cm3), implying a large potential ability of energy storage for the 0.6BNT-0.4SBT ceramic. Moreover, both dielectric properties (28–326 °C) and energy storage properties (20–140 °C) exhibit a good thermal stability for the same 0.6BNT-0.4SBT composition. These characteristics suggest 0.6BNT-0.4SBT ceramic could be a promising candidate to be applied in a pulse power system over a broad temperature range.  相似文献

Novel lead-free diphasic (1-x)Ba0.9Sr0.1Ti0.9Hf0.1O3-xNa0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (BSTH-NBT) ceramic nanocomposites were synthesized via an economically viable modified mechano-chemical activation technique. In the present investigation, we have developed an energy storage composite material by systematically optimizing the charge transport behavior and charge storage characteristics between the ferroelectric BSTH and piezoelectric NBT phase. The composite with x = 0.09 NBT concentration has shown the best energy storage properties with 1.61 J/cm3 discharge energy density along with 80.1% energy efficiency. The BSTH and NBT had a synergetic effect on the ferroelectric properties of the composites. The improvement in ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties along with excellent aging characteristics in composite materials is mainly attributed to enhancement in microstructural density, grain boundary interface, and stress effects. The improved dispersibility and excellent compatibility between BSTH and NBT phase have resulted in approximately 20% enhancement in breakdown strength of composite compared to pure BSTH ceramic.  相似文献

Ideal relaxor antiferroelectrics (RAFEs) have high field-induced polarization, low remnant polarization and very slim hysteresis, which can generate high recoverable energy storage Wrec and high energy storage efficiency η, thus attracting much attention for energy storage applications. True RAFEs, on the other hand, are extremely rare, and the majority of them contain environmentally hazardous lead. In this work, we use a viscous polymer rolling process to synthesize a novel and eco-friendly 0.65Bi0.5Na0.4K0.1TiO3-0.35[2/3SrTiO3-1/3Bi(Mg2/3Nb1/3)O3] (BNKT-ST-BMN) dielectric material, which possesses a very typical RAFE-like characteristic. As a result, this material has a high Wrec of 4.43 J/cm3 and a η of 86% at an electric felid of 290 kV/cm, as well as a high thermal stability of Wrec (>3 J/cm3) over a wide range of 30–140 °C at 250 kV/cm. Our findings suggest that the BNKT-ST-BMN material could be a potential candidate for use in energy storage pulse capacitors.  相似文献

Development of lead-free dielectric capacitors with high recoverable energy storage density (Wrec), large energy storage efficiency (η), and wide usage temperature range are in high demanded for pulse power systems. Herein, we realized the enhancement of energy storage properties [high Wrec = 3.76 J/cm3, large η = 78.80 %, and broad operating temperature range (20?180 °C)] in lead-free Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (BNT)-based relaxor ferroelectrics via component regulation. Excellent energy storage properties mainly originate from suppressing early polarization saturation and improving dielectric breakdown strength (Eb). Domain evolution on the nanoscale offers robust support to suppression of early polarization saturation. The enhancement of Eb can be derived from the contribution of the Mg-rich phase, which is also corroborative via first-principles calculation on basis of density functional theory (DFT). We believe that these findings in this work may provide a practicable guideline to build new lead-free ceramics for electrical energy storage applications.  相似文献

Ceramic-based dielectric capacitor are highly suitable for pulsed power applications due to their high power density and excellent reliability. However, the ultrahigh applied electric field limit their applications in integrated electronic devices. In this work, (1−x){0.96(Bi0.5Na0.5)(Ti0.995Mn0.005)O3-0.04BiAlO3}-xNaNbO3 (BNT-BA-xNN, x = 0, 0.04, 0.08, 0.12, and 0.16) ternary ceramics were designed to achieve excellent energy storage properties. It was found that the introduction of NaNbO3 (NN) effectively increase the difference (ΔP) between Pmax and Pr, resulting in an obvious enhancement of the energy storage properties. High recoverable energy storage density, responsivity, and power density, that is, Wrec = 2.01 J/cm3, ξ Wrec/E = 130.69 J/(kV⋅m2), and PD = 25.59 MW/cm3, accompanied with superior temperature stability were realized at x = 0.14 composition. In addition, the thermal stable dielectric properties of the sample can be prominently improved with increasing NN content. The temperature coefficient of capacitance (TCC) of x = 0.16 composition is lower than 15% over the temperature range from 49°C to 340°C, with a high dielectric permittivity of 1647 and a low dielectric loss (0.0107) at 150°C. All these features show that the BNT-BA-xNN ceramics are promising materials for energy storage application.  相似文献

In this study, the phase structure, microstructure and dielectric properties of Bi0.5(Na0.78K0.22)0.5(Ti1-xNbx)O3 lead-free ceramics prepared by traditional solid phase sintering method were studied. The second phase pyrochlore bismuth titanate (Bi2Ti2O7) was produced in the system after introduction of Nb5+. The dielectric constant of the sample (x = 0.03) sintered at 1130 °C at room temperature reached a maximum of 1841, and the dielectric loss was 0.045 minimum. It had been found that the K+ and Nb5+ co-doped Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 (BNT) lead-free ceramics exhibited outstanding dielectric-temperature stability within 100–400 °C with Tcc ≤±15%. Result of this research provides a valuable reference for application of BNT based capacitors in high temperature field.  相似文献

There is still a problem of low energy storage density in dielectric capacitors which is a core component of power systems. For the improvement of the energy storage density, the linear dielectric material CaTiO3 (CT) was introduced in Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 (NBT) ceramics in this paper. By modifying the A site, a new relaxor ferroelectric ceramic was successfully synthesized and attained a recoverable density (Wrec) of 2.34 J/cm3 at x = 0.18. Moreover, the preparation process was optimized in this paper. Through the viscous polymer process (VPP) route, the energy density (WA) of 82NBT-18CTVPP ceramic further reaches 6.45 J/cm3 at 340 kV/cm, with efficiency (η) up to 75% and a Wrec of 4.82 J/cm3. At the same time, the change of Wrec is small at temperature (30–150 °C) and frequency (1 Hz–300 Hz), which demonstrates its excellent stability. The discharge power density reaches about 180 MW/cm3 and the discharge time is 0.117 μs, which indicates its excellent pulse discharge performance. The results show that 82NBT-18CT lead-free relaxation ferroelectric material is expected to become ideal for high-energy storage applications.  相似文献

BiFeO3–BaTiO3 (BF-BT)-based lead-free ferroelectric ceramic has attracted immense interest in energy storage applications due to its great spontaneous polarization (Pmax) strength. However, high remanent polarization (Pr) has become a serious obstruction for its practical application. In this work, Sm ions were doped into 0.67BiFeO3-0.33BaTiO3 (0.67Bi1-xSmxFeO3-0.33BaTiO3, BSxF-BT) to tailor the structure and energy storage properties. It was found that the doping of Sm ions effectively reduced Pr by enhancing the relaxor behavior of BF-BT ceramic, which produce an enhancement in the energy storage performance. Large recoverable energy storage density Wrec of 2.8 J/cm3 with moderate energy storage efficiency η of 55.8% (200 kV/cm) were achieved in the ceramics with x = 0.1. Moreover, the energy storage capabilities exhibited good stability at temperature (20–95 °C) and frequency (0.1–50 Hz). Furthermore, the ceramic also possessed a predominant discharge speed with a discharge time less than 0.1 μs in a circuit with a load of 200 Ω. These results showed that the Wrec and η of BF-BT ceramic could be availably promoted by the doping of Sm ions, which may be helpful for the enhancement of energy storage performance of BF-BT-based ceramics.  相似文献

(Bi1/2Na1/2)TiO3-based materials have received much attention due to large electro-strain and high piezoelectric constant (d33), but the tough issue is that the existence of inherent depolarization temperature (Td) limits the temperature stability and application temperature range. Previously, reports about the formation of BNT/oxide (i.e., ZnO, Al2O3) composites thought that Td can be deferred to a higher temperature and then thermal depolarization improves. However, the deferred Td of BNT/oxide composites is limited, accompanied by a low d33. Here, we design the {[Bi0.5(Na0.8K0.2)0.5]1-xPbx}TiO3 ceramics, leading to a big shift of Td from 77 ℃ to 390 ℃. Large d33 (140 pC/N) and high Td (∼263 ℃) can be simultaneously achieved for the sample with Pb=0.05, and Td could be further deferred higher (390 ℃) for Pb=0.20. The off-centre displacement of Pb induced by Pb-O hybridization in the PbO12 polyhedron and ferroelectric order stabilized by the addition of Pb can provide the driving force to strengthen the ferroelectric order, and then promote the thermal stability.  相似文献

To develop and fabricate environmentally friendly dielectric capacitors used in high-temperature environment, in this work, we prepare La3+ doped 0.94Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3-0.06BaTiO3 lead-free relaxor ferroelectric ceramics with high and wide phase transition temperature. With the introduction of La3+, due to the enhancement of the A- and B- site cation ion disorder, the dielectric relaxation characteristics of the ceramics are more obvious. Therefore, the polarization-electric field loops become slimmer and the remnant polarization (Pr) reduces. In addition, because La3+ as a donor dopant has lower mobility than A-site cation ions in the ceramic matrix, the grain sizes decrease with increasing La3+ content, which significantly leads to an increase in the breakdown strength (Eb). As a result, both a large recoverable energy density (Wrec) of 1.92 J/cm3 and a high energy efficiency (η) of 85.7% are obtained in the ceramic with 12 mol% La3+ content. More importantly, even at 200 °C and a low driving electric field of 155 kV/cm, the Wrec and η of this kind of ceramic are still as high as 1.2 J/cm3 and 89.4%, indicating good temperature stability. This work provides an effective and simple way to prepare environmentally friendly dielectric capacitors that are applicable in high-temperature environment.  相似文献

Recently, BaTiO3-BiMeO3 ceramics have garnered focused research attention due to their outstanding performance, such as thermal stability, energy efficiency and rapid charge-discharge behavior, however, a lower recoverable energy storage density (Wrec) caused by a relatively low Pmax (<30 μC/cm2) mainly hinders practical applications. Herein, the energy density and thermal stability are improved by adding a tertiary component, i.e., Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3, into BaTiO3-BiMeO3, resulting in xBi0.5Na0.5TiO3-modified 0.88BaTiO3-0.12Bi(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O3 ceramics, with x = 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4, with superior dielectric properties and eco-friendly impact. Incorporating Bi0.5Na0.5TiO3 with a high saturation polarization and Curie temperature not only significantly enhances Pmax of BaTiO3-Bi(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O3 but also improves Curie temperature of (1-x)[0.88BaTiO3-0.12Bi(Zn2/3Nb1/3)O3]-xBi0.5Na0.5TiO3 system. Combined with complementary advantages, modified ceramics render a superior energy storage performance (ESP) with a high Wrec of 3.82 J/cm3, efficiency η of 94.4% and prominent temperature tolerance of 25–200 °C at x = 0.3. Moreover, this ceramic exhibit excellent pulse performance, realizing discharge energy storage density Wdis of 2.31 J/cm3 and t0.9 of 244 ns. Overall, the proposed strategy effectively improved comprehensive properties of BaTiO3-based ceramics, showing promise in next-generation pulse applications.  相似文献

Relaxor ferroelectrics are attracting an increasing interest in the application of pulse power systems due to their excellent energy storage performance. In this paper, the (1-x)(Ba0·85Ca0.15)(Zr0·1Ti0.9)O3-xBi(Mg0·5Ti0.5)O3 ((1-x)BCZT-xBMT, x ≤ 0.2) relaxor ceramics are prepared by the solid state method. The influence of BMT on the microstructure, dielectric and energy storage properties of the prepared ceramics is investigated. The XRD results show that the peak intensity of impurities (Bi2O3, TiO2 and Ba2Bi4Ti5O18) is gradually stronger than that of BCZT phase with x increasing. Meanwhile, the grain size of (1-x)BCZT-xBMT ceramics gradually increases on account of the appearance of impurities Bi2O3. Influenced by the impurities and BMT, the dielectric constant of prepared ceramics gradually decreases with x increasing. A large Wrec value of 0.65 J/cm3 with an ultrahigh η value of 97.89% is achieved at x = 0.15 due to the high breakdown strength and slim P-E hysteresis loop. Meanwhile, the η is insensitive to the electric field. The ultrahigh η leads to lesser energy loss during the charge and discharge process. It makes the 0.85BCZT-0.15BMT ceramic more attractive in the application of pulse power systems.  相似文献
