The VB5 interface

The VB5 interface is an ATM-based broadband interface at the V reference point, the interface between a user access and a service node (SN), also known as the SNI (service node interface) within the ITU-T. The B-ISDN architectural model allows for a number of different user accesses, such as straightforward digital sections and simple multiplexers, but it is anticipated that the most frequent implementation, particularly for mass deployment, will be via a broadband access network (AN) with VB5 interfaces.The VB5 interface is specified in a similar way to its narrowband cousin V5, in two variants – VB5.1, which supports allocation of resources via the management system, and VB5.2, which adds a mechanism for allocating AN resources under the control of the SN, enabling call-by-call concentration in the AN. This paper describes the background to the development of VB5 and explains the two variants VB5.1 and VB5.2.     

Access network architectural issues for future telecommunicationnetworks

This article discusses the evolution of access networks to support future multimedia services, with emphasis on the role of Working Party 3 of ITU-T Study Group 13. An overview of the access network is given, and the interfaces between the access network and other portions of the telecommunications network such as the user-network interface (UNI), service node interface (SNI), and telecommunication management (Q3) interface are described. The major functions of the access network are summarized, and various examples of multimedia access architectures are discussed. Fundamental principles for the broadband service node interface (VB5) standard are reviewed

基于智能城域网承载固网宽带业务的方案设计与实践

随着5G的到来,网络结构和网络技术不断演进,在网络设备简化、网络功能虚拟化、网络转发面和控制面分离的技术背景下,为满足云网一体及5G、大客户、家宽等业务的综合承载目标,结合现有固网宽带业务的业务需求和维护需求,提出了SR(Segment Routing)、EVPN(Ethernet Virtual Private Network)、vBRAS承载固网宽带业务的综合解决方案及部署应用,测试验证了5G与固网宽带业务统一承载的可行性,为后续大规模部署提供了相关的建议。     

接入网发展趋势和存在的问题

ＩＴＵ先后制定了ＡＮ接口建议Ｇ．９６４、Ｇ．９６５以及宽带接口建议Ｇ．９６７、１．４３２、Ｇ．９６６等。引人注目的接入技术有：铜线接入方面的ｘＤＳＬ、ＨＦＣ和非对称电缆调制解调器;光纤接入方面的Ｖ５接口技术、内置ＳＤＨ接入网、ＡＰＯＮ、ＳＤＶ等;无线本地环路以及宽带无线接入技术如ＬＭＤＳ、ＤＢＳ等。接入网的目标是建立全业务宽带接入网（ＦＳＮ）,最后文中指出了接入网建设中存在的问题。     

The BUNI broadband user-network interface demonstrator network

Describes the BUNI (broadband user-network interface) Demonstrator Project (R1081) of the RACE programme which is concerned with the experimental implementation of the emerging standards for the broadband user network interface. The BUNI demonstrator network, comprising two broadband customer premises network and two broadband switches, is explained in some detail to give the reader an insight into the complexity of the complete demonstrator. The signalling concepts are described to illustrate the innovative nature of the project and to give an indication of the facilities which broadband ISDN will offer. An overview of the services which will be available at the BUNI demonstrator site is given     

广东省宽带通信网建设及其发展的考虑

本文介绍了广东省宽带通信网的建设方案和设想，提出应根据ＡＴＭ交换技术的发展状况逐步发展ＡＴＭ交换网。在接入网方面，ＡＤＳＬ因具有较好的性能价格比且可以利用现有电视用户配线，成为目前较为理想的接入网产品；ＨＦＣ网络则不失为在农村地区的一种经济、灵活的发展模式。ＩＴＶ业务与宽带数据通信是目前宽带通信网的主要应用，它们的发展趋势是走向融合。     

福建省宽带多媒体通信网集成方案

本文主要介绍福建省宽带多媒体通信网络拓扑结构和业务集成方案。宽带多媒体通信网包括ＡＤＳＬ接入网、ＡＴＭ宽带交换网,应用服务器。目前在福建省宽带多媒体通信网上承载的业务有视频点播和宽带ＷＥＢ浏览、１６９／１６３的传输和路由骨干,帧中继,交互式视频业务（如电视会议,远程医疗）等。     

Technical concepts in broadband ATM

The asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) approach to connecting subscribers to the broadband packet network, is expected to bring an appropriate solution for a future public network. The prerequisites of the broadband network, the characteristics of the ATM technique as well as possible ATM network equipment are described here. Envisaged solutions to the basic problems being posed are discussed.
