Ternary perovskite ceramics of Pb[(Zr0.5Ti0.5)0.8−x (Mg1/3Nb2/3)0.2+x]0.98Nb0.02O3.01 (PZTMN, x = −0.075, −0.05, −0.025, 0, 0.025, 0.05, and 0.075 ), are synthesized via dry–dry method. B-site precursors of PZTMN ([(Zr0.5Ti0.5)0.8−x (Mg1/3Nb2/3)0.2+x ]0.98Nb0.02O2.01, ZTMN) can be synthesized via a two-step solid state reaction method. The first calcination temperature is 1,300 °C, and the second is not higher than 1,360 °C. Incorporation of magnesium and niobium ions promotes the formation of the single phase solid solution with ZrTiO4 structure. Single phase perovskite PZTMN is formed at 780 °C, much lower than that in conventional process. Dense ceramics can be sintered at about 1,260 °C with dielectric and piezoelectric properties comparable to that of wet–dry method and higher than that of conventional method. It seems that B-site precursor method is cost effective in preparation of ternary piezoelectric ceramics.  相似文献

A novel microwave dielectric ceramics Bi(Sc1/3Mo2/3)O4 with low firing temperature were prepared via the solid reaction method. The specimens have been characterized using scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy and DC conductivity. The Bi(Sc1/3Mo2/3)O4 ceramics showed B-site ordered Scheelite-type structure with space group C2/c. Raman analysis indicated that prominent bands were attributed to the normal modes of vibration of MoO4 2? tetrahedra. The dielectric loss of Bi(Sc1/3Mo2/3)O4 ceramics can be depended strongly the bulk conductivity by DC measurement. The superior microwave dielectric properties are achieved in the Bi(Sc1/3Mo2/3)O4 ceramic sintered at 875 °C/4 h, with dielectric constant?~?25, Q?×?f ~?51,716 GHz at 6.4522 GHz and temperature coefficient of resonance frequency ~???70.4 ppm/°C. It is a promising microwave dielectric material for low-temperature co-fired ceramics technology.  相似文献

The microwave dielectric properties and the microstructures of Sm(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3 ceramics with B2O3 additions (0.25 and 0.5 wt%) prepared by conventional solid-state route have been investigated. The prepared Sm(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3 exhibited a mixture of Co and Ti showing 1:1 order in the B-site. Doping with B2O3 (up to 0.5 wt%) can effectively promote the densification of Sm(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3 ceramics with low sintering temperature. It is found that Sm(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3 ceramics can be sintered at 1,260 °C due to the grain boundary phase effect of B2O3 addition. At 1,290 °C, Sm(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3 ceramics with 0.5 wt% B2O3 addition possess a dielectric constant (ε r) of 27.7, a Q × f value of 33,600 (at 9 GHz) and a temperature coefficient of resonant frequency (τf) of −11.4 ppm/ °C. The B2O3-doped Sm(Co1/2Ti1/2)O3 ceramics can find applications in microwave devices requiring low sintering temperature.  相似文献

Ba(Zr0.2Ti0.8)O3 (BZT) ceramics are prepared from spray-dried powder by spark plasma sintering (SPS) and by normal sintering. By the application of SPS, ceramics with >96% relative densities could be obtained by sintering at 1,100 °C for 5 min in air atmosphere. The pellet as sintered by SPS at 1,100 °C was black and conductive. Although SPS was carried out in air atmosphere, the samples were deoxidized by heating the carbon die. By post-annealing at 1,000 °C for 12 h in air, the pellet was oxidized and became white and insulating. Grain growth was suppressed in the ceramics prepared by SPS, and the average grain size was 0.52 μm. The starting powder contained 1.90% carbon, mainly as binder, and the SPS-prepared ceramics and ordinary prepared ceramics contained 0.15 and 0.024% carbon, respectively. The BZT ceramics obtained by SPS and the subsequent annealing at 1,000 °C for 12 h exhibited a mild temperature dependence of their dielectric constant. The field-induced displacement of the BZT ceramics was less hysteretic and smaller than that of the ceramics sintered by the conventional method.  相似文献

Phase purity, microstructure, sinterability and microwave dielectric properties of BaCu(B2O5)-added Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramics and their cofireability with Ag electrode were investigated. A small amount of BaCu (B2O5) can effectively reduce the sintering temperature from 1075°C to 925°C, and it does not induce much degradation of the microwave dielectric properties. Microwave dielectric properties of ε r = 23·1, Q × f = 22,732 GHz and τ f = − 17·6 ppm/°C were obtained for Li2ZnTi3O8 ceramic with 1·5 wt% BaCu(B2O5) sintered at 925°C for 4 h. The Li2ZnTi3O8 +BCB ceramics can be compatible with Ag electrode, which makes it a promising microwave dielectric material for low-temperature co-fired ceramic technology application.  相似文献

A one-pot polymerization method using citric acid and glucose for the synthesis of nano-crystalline BaFe0.5Nb0.5O3 is described. Phase evolution and the development of the crystallite size during decomposition of the (Ba,Fe,Nb)-gel were examined up to 1100 °C. Calcination at 850 °C of the gel leads to a phase-pure nano-crystalline BaFe0.5Nb0.5O3 powder with a crystallite size of 28 nm. The shrinkage of compacted powders starts at 900 °C. Dense ceramic bodies (relative density ≥ 90%) can be obtained either after conventional sintering above 1250 °C for 1 h or after two-step sintering at 1200 °C. Depending on the sintering regime, the ceramics have average grain sizes between 0.3 and 52 µm. The optical band gap of the nano-sized powder is 2.75(4) eV and decreases to 2.59(2) eV after sintering. Magnetic measurements of ceramics reveal a Néel temperature of about 23 K. A weak spontaneous magnetization might be due to the presence of a secondary phase not detectable by XRD. Dielectric measurements show that the permittivity values increase with decreasing frequency and rising temperature. The highest permittivity values of 10.6 × 104 (RT, 1 kHz) were reached after sintering at 1350 °C for 1 h. Tan δ values of all samples show a maximum at 1–2 MHz at RT. The frequency dependence of the impedance can be well described using a single RC-circuit.  相似文献

The effect of excess lead oxide and sintering temperature on the microstructure evolution in the templated grain growth (TGG) of the Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/ 3)0.67Ti0.33O3 (PMNT67/33) polycrystals was investigated. By adding excess PbO in the precursor of PMNT ceramics, the textured structure of PMNT polycrystals was obtained near SrTiO3 (ST) template by the conventional ceramic technique. The texture profiles developed progressively with increasing the concentration of excess PbO. A suitable sintering temperature is also very essential to grow a thick textured layer and avoid a second phase. Furthermore, the through-thickness of the PMNT textured layer is strongly influenced by the uniaxial compact-pressure of preparing the ST seeded PMNT specimen.  相似文献

A novel spray co-precipitation method was adopted to synthesize well dispersed nanocrystalline Y2O3 powders for transparent ceramics. Several analytic techniques such as XRD, SEM, BET and UV–Vis–NIR spectrophotometer were used to determine the properties of coprecipitated powders, and the microstructure and optical properties of as-fabricated ceramics. The influences of the aging time on powders and ceramics were systematically investigated. Precursors were completely reached to yield the Y2O3 phase after being calcined at 1250 °C in air. The calcined Y2O3 powders exhibited an approximately spherical morphology with narrow size distribution and weak agglomeration, with mean particle size of ~140 nm. The co-precipitated nanopowders with an aging time of 12 h exhibited the best sintering activity due to the low agglomeration, and the in-line transmittance of Y2O3 ceramic sintered at 1800 °C for 8 h in vacuum reached to 77.2% at 1064 nm (1 mm thickness).  相似文献

Stoichiometric lead magnesium niobate, Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3 (PMN), perovskite ceramics produced by reaction-sintering process were investigated. Without calcination, a mixture of PbO, Nb2O5, and Mg(NO3)2 was pressed and sintered directly. Stoichiometric PMN ceramics of 100% perovskite phase were obtained for 1, 2, and 4 h sintering at 1250 and 1270 °C. PMN ceramics with density 8.09 g/cm3 (99.5% of theoretical density 8.13 g/cm3) and Kmax 19,900 under 1 kHz were obtained.  相似文献

The influences of B2O3 and CuO (BCu, B2O3: CuO = 1:1) additions on the sintering behavior and microwave dielectric properties of LiNb0.6Ti0.5O3 (LNT) ceramics were investigated. LNT ceramics were prepared with conventional solid-state method and sintered at temperatures about 1,100 °C. The sintering temperature of LNT ceramics with BCu addition could be effectively reduced to 900 °C due to the liquid phase effects resulting from the additives. The addition of BCu does not induce much degradation in the microwave dielectric properties. Typically, the excellent microwave dielectric properties of εr = 66, Q × f = 6,210 GHz, and τ f  = 25 ppm/oC were obtained for the 2 wt% BCu-doped sample sintered at 900 °C. Chemical compatibility of silver electrodes and low-fired samples has also been investigated.  相似文献

CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) was synthesized and sintered by microwave processing at 2·45 GHz, 1·1 kW. The optimum calcination temperature using microwave heating was determined to be 950°C for 20 min to obtain cubic CCTO powders. The microwave processed powders were sintered to 94% density at 1000°C/60 min. The microstructural studies carried out on these ceramics revealed the grain size to be in the range 1–7 μm. The dielectric constants for the microwave sintered (1000°C/60 min) ceramics were found to vary from 11000–7700 in the 100 Hz–00 kHz frequency range. Interestingly the dielectric loss had lower values than those sintered by conventional sintering routes and decreases with increase in frequency.  相似文献

Strontium titanate and barium titanate ceramics prepared by a reaction-sintering process were investigated. The mixture of raw materials of stoichiometric SrTiO3 and BaTiO3 was pressed and sintered into ceramics without any calcination stage involved. A density 4.99 g/cm3 (97.5% of the theoretic value) was found in SrTiO3 after 6 h sintering at 1,370 °C. Grains less than 1.5 μm were formed at 1,300–1,330 °C and became 2.2–3.3 μm at 1,350–1,370 °C SrTiO3. A density 5.89 g/cm3 (97.9% of the theoretic value) was found in BaTiO3 after 6 h sintering at 1,400 °C. Merged grains were observed in BaTiO3 and were less than 10 μm after sintered at 1,400 °C.  相似文献

The Ba3(VO4)2–x wt% Co2O3 (x?=?0.5–5) ceramics were prepared by the solid state reaction method in order to reduce the sintering temperature. The effects of the Co2O3 additions on the phase composition, microstructures, sintering characteristics and microwave dielectric properties of Ba3(VO4)2 ceramics are investigated by an X-ray diffractometer, a scanning electron microscope and a network analyzer. As a result, the Q?×?f value of 54,000 GH, the ε r of 14.6 and the τf value of +58.5 ppm/°C were obtained in the sample of the Ba3(VO4)2–3 wt% Co2O3 ceramic sintered at the temperature of 925 °C, which is capable to co-fire with electrode metal of high conductivity such as Ag (961 °C). Moreover, the Q?×?f values of the sample with Co2O3 higher than that of 3 wt% additions decreased because of the formation of Ba2V2O7 phase.  相似文献

In this article, the influence of primary mechanical milling of precursors on the microstructure and dielectric properties of Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics was studied. Precursor material (mixture of Bi2O3 and TiO2 powders) was ground by a high-energy attritorial mill for (1, 3, 5, and 10) h. Bi4Ti3O12 ceramics were obtained by a solid-state reaction process, synthesized at an intermediate temperature (800 °C) and finally sintered at high temperature (1140 °C). Structure studies were performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy techniques. XRD patterns were analyzed by the Rietveld method using the DBWS 9807a program. The thermal properties of the studied materials were measured using differential thermal analysis and thermal gravimetric techniques. These studies indicate that one-, three-, and five-hour primary high-energy ball milling followed by sintering is a promising technique for pure Bi4Ti3O12 ferroic ceramics preparation. The investigation of Bi4Ti3O12 shows that ceramics obtained from a precursor and milled for 5 h have the best dielectric properties.  相似文献

The Mg3B2O6 ceramics with lithium magnesium zinc borosilicate (LMZBS) glass were prepared at a lower sintering temperature. The effects of the glass addition on the densification, phase development, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of the Mg3B2O6 ceramics were investigated. The addition of LMZBS glass improved the densification and lowered the sintering temperature of Mg3B2O6 ceramics from 1,300 to 950 °C. X-ray diffraction patterns showed that Mg3B2O6 transformed into Mg2B2O5 and a new phase, Li2ZnSiO4, crystallized from the glass phase. Because of the high dielectric performance of these phases, Mg3B2O6 mixed with 55 wt% LMZBS sintered at 950 °C for 3 h had εr = 6.8, Q × f = 50,000 GHz, and τf = ?64 ppm/°C at 7.28 GHz. The chemical compatibility of ceramic-glass composites with Ag was also investigated for LTCC.  相似文献

The influences of BaBi2Nb2O9 content on the electrical property and the microstructure of BaTiO3-based materials have been studied. With an increase in BaBi2Nb2O9 content the grain size decreases. All the prepared BaBi2Nb2O9 doping BaTiO3-based thermistors show typical PTC effect. As the amount of BaBi2Nb2O9 added in BaTiO3-based ceramics increases, resistivity appears to exhibit a minimum value. At high BaBi2Nb2O9 content (≥0.0875), the resistivity increased again with increasing BaBi2Nb2O9 content. At a given content of BaBi2Nb2O9, the influence of sintering temperature on the electrical properties of samples has been investigated. A minimum of room temperature resistivity is obtained at the sintering temperature equal to 1,290 °C at a given content of BaBi2Nb2O9.  相似文献

Ba5Nb4O15 powders were synthesized by molten-salt method in NaCl–KCl flux at a low temperature of 650–900 °C for 2 h, which is lower than that of the conventional solid-state reaction. This simple process involved mixing of the raw materials and salts in a certain proportion. Subsequent calcination of the mixtures led to Ba5Nb4O15 powders at 650–900 °C. XRD and SEM techniques were used to characterize the phase and morphology of the fabricated Ba5Nb4O15 powders, respectively. After sintering at 1,300 °C for 2 h, the densified Ba5Nb4O15 ceramics with good microwave dielectric properties of εr = 39.2, Q × f approximated as 27,200 GHz and τ f  = 72 ppm/°C have been obtained.  相似文献

Anisometric and agglomerate-free template particles are important for fabrication of grain-oriented ceramics. In the present work, preparation of acicular KSr2Nb5O15 (KSN) particles was firstly explored in the SrNb2O6–Nb2O5–KCl system by molten salt synthesis (MSS) method. It was found that the molar ratio of SrNb2O6 to Nb2O5, the amount of KCl salt and synthesis time could significantly affect the phase structure and morphology of KSN particles. When calcined at 1,150 °C for 6 h with the molar ratio of SrNb2O6 to Nb2O5 was 1 and the weight ratio of salt to oxide source was 1.50, pure KSN particles with well-developed acicular morphology were successfully obtained in this system. They were agglomerate-free and with proper scale in the size range of 5–30 μm, which made them the ideal templates for fabricating textured ceramics. In addition, some new reaction and growth mechanisms were proposed in this work.  相似文献

Crystal structure and dielectric properties of Zn3Mo2O9 ceramics prepared through a conventional solid-state reaction method were characterized. XRD and Raman analysis revealed that the Zn3Mo2O9 crystallized in a monoclinic crystal structure and reminded stable up to1020 °C. Dense ceramics with high relative density (~ 92.3%) were obtained when sintered at 1000 °C and possessed good microwave dielectric properties with a relative permittivity (ε r ) of 8.7, a quality factor (Q?×?f) of 23,400 GHz, and a negative temperature coefficient of resonance frequency (τ f ) of around ??79 ppm/°C. With 5 wt% B2O3 addition, the sintering temperature of Zn3Mo2O9 ceramic was successfully lowered to 900 °C and microwave dielectric properties with ε r ?=?11.8, Q?×?f?=?20,000 GHz, and τ f = ??79.5 ppm/°C were achieved.  相似文献

We have studied the effect of hot-pressing conditions (different pressure rise rates and isothermal holding temperatures in the range 1450–1550°C) on the microstructure of ceramics produced from nanopowder with the composition Ce0.09Zr0.91O2/MgAl6O10/γ-Al2O3 (20.6, 37.4, and 42.0 wt %, respectively). Firing at 1450°C for 1 h made it possible to obtain fine-grained ceramics with less than 3 μm in grain size. The compaction pressure rise rate was shown to be a key parameter under such thermal conditions (20 + 10°C/min → 1450°C). Grain growth was prevented most effectively when the maximum load, 30 MPa, was reached at a temperature of 1000°C. Under such conditions, the grain size was 0.4–0.8 μm and the relative density reached 98.8%.  相似文献
