An approach to printing of flat textiles is presented in this work. A screen‐printing method was applied on a cotton fabric. An aqueous printing paste was prepared from thickening and crosslinking agents and an ultraviolet‐sensitive tetrazole ring‐based compound of 2,3,5‐triphenyltetrazolium chloride or nitrotetrazolium blue chloride. After the printing process, a pattern was just visible with the naked eye. The development of colour occurred after exposure of the textile to ultraviolet light of 253.7 nm and was caused by the transformation of 2,3,5‐triphenyltetrazolium chloride or nitrotetrazolium blue chloride salts into the corresponding formazans, which are insoluble in water. The printed designs were resistant to washing. The stability of the colour of the samples is discussed in the case of prolonged irradiation, both with ultraviolet light of 253.7 nm and with daylight. This method of printing is a recent proposition for creative textile designing. It also seems to indicate a likely type of dye that may be further developed as potentially attractive for ultraviolet‐assisted printing or dyeing of textiles. 相似文献

Many organic compounds that absorb ultraviolet radiation can act as powerful reducing agents when irradiated in the ultraviolet. Such irradiation in the presence of azo dyes can lead to the photoreduction of the dyes. It is shown that simple ketyl radicals have strong reducing properties and can reduce azo dyes. It is demonstrated that similar radicals produced from glucose also act as reducing agents. The structural relation between glucose and cellulose suggests that the photoreduction can also play a role in the photofading of azo dyes on cellulosic textile materials. 相似文献

Although it is known that textile wastewater contains highly toxic contaminants whose effects in humans represent public health problems in several countries, studies involving mammal species are scarce. This study was aimed to evaluate the toxicity profile of 90-days oral administration of textile dyeing effluent (TDE) on oxidative stress status and histological changes of male mice. The TDE was collected from the textile plant of Monastir, Tunisia and evaluated for the metals, aromatic amines, and textile dyes using analytical approaches. Metal analysis by ICP-MS showed that the tested TDE exhibited very high levels of Cr, As, and Sr, which exceeded the wastewater emission limits prescribed by WHO and Tunisian authority. The screening of TDE through UPLC-MS/MS confirmed the presence of two textile dyes: a triphenylmethane dye (Crystal violet) and a disperse azo dye (Disperse yellow 3). Exposure to TDE significantly altered the malondialdehyde (MDA), Conjugated dienes (CDs), Sulfhydryl proteins (SHP) and catalase levels in the hepatic and renal tissues. Furthermore, histopathology observation showed that hepatocellular and renal lesions were induced by TDE exposure. The present study concluded that TDE may involve induction of oxidative stress which ensues in pathological lesions in several vital organs suggesting its high toxicity. Metals and textile dyes may be associated with the observed toxicological effects of the TDE. These pollutants, which may have seeped into surrounding rivers in Monastir city, can cause severe health malaise in wildlife and humans. 相似文献

对具有防晒作用的数十种天然植物 ,进行了提取、复配 ,复配后的产品加入纳米TiO2 ,并在应用上进行了相关的研究与测试。测试结果表明 :天然防晒剂护肤品 ,对 2 80~ 32 0nmB区紫外光透射率≤ 1 5 % ,对 330~40 0nmA区紫外光透射率≤ 16 %。并与国内市场上较流行的JapanUVMILKYUPERSPF 45 ,在同等条件下进行了测试对比 ,结果表明 :本产品在 2 80~ 35 0nm波段 ,对紫外光的透射率为0 2 2 %~ 3 30 % ,UVMILKYUPERSPF 45为 2 2 2 %~3 90 % ;本产品在 36 0~ 40 0nm波段 ,对紫外光的透射率为 5 31%~ 15 78% ,UVMILKYUPERSPF 45为 4 2 3%~ 4 95 %。 相似文献

The dielectric and optical properties of pure poly (3-hydroxybutyrate) and ZnO nanoparticle (15–30%)-reinforced poly (3-hydroxybutyrate) composite films were studied. Nanocomposites exhibit improved relative permittivity (ε′?=?4.6720 @ 1?GHz) with acceptable loss tangent (tan δ?0.02) which is greater than that of FR4 substrate (ε′?=?4.5). High absorption in ultraviolet region (200–400?nm) was observed for the nanocomposites. From the observation, the prepared biobased composites can be used as a dielectric substrate for microwave applications and coating material for light-emitting diode encapsulation to block ultraviolet rays and to develop ultraviolet-resistive fabrics for textile industry. 相似文献

Global demand for functional textiles is continually increasing for both conventional as well as advanced technical applications. Nanomaterials have the potential to transform the textile industry by imparting multifunctional properties such as physical, chemical and biological self‐cleaning, ultraviolet (UV) protection, wrinkle resistance and coloration to textiles without compromising the inherent characteristics of the substrate. This review highlights some of the major applications of nanomaterials to textile substrates to obtain different functional properties.
